Fecit quoque sibi domos in civitate David : et ædificavit locum arcæ Dei, tetenditque ei tabernaculum.
- David se bâtit des maisons dans la cité de David; il prépara une place à l'arche de Dieu, et dressa pour elle une tente. (Ⅱ) - And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτω̨̃ οἰκίας ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ καὶ ἡτοίμασεν τὸν τόπον τη̨̃ κιβωτω̨̃ του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτη̨̃ σκηνήν (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃15 ויעש לו בתים בעיר דויד ויכן מקום לארון האלהים ויט לו אהל (Ⅴ)

Tunc dixit David : Illicitum est ut a quocumque portetur arca Dei nisi a Levitis, quos elegit Dominus ad portandum eam, et ad ministrandum sibi usque in æternum.
- Alors David dit: L'arche de Dieu ne doit être portée que par les Lévites, car l'Éternel les a choisis pour porter l'arche de Dieu et pour en faire le service à toujours. (Ⅱ) - Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever. (Ⅲ) - τότε εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ οὐκ ἔστιν ἀ̃ραι τὴν κιβωτὸν του̃ θεου̃ ἀλλ' ἢ τοὺς Λευίτας ὅτι αὐτοὺς ἐξελέξατο κύριος αἴρειν τὴν κιβωτὸν κυρίου καὶ λειτουργει̃ν αὐτω̨̃ ἕως αἰω̃νος (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃15 אז אמר דויד לא לשאת את ארון האלהים כי אם הלוים כי בם בחר יהוה לשאת את ארון יהוה ולשרתו עד עולם ס (Ⅴ)

Congregavitque universum Israël in Jerusalem, ut afferretur arca Dei in locum suum, quem præparaverat ei :
- Et David assembla tout Israël à Jérusalem pour faire monter l'arche de l'Éternel à la place qu'il lui avait préparée. (Ⅱ) - And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξεκκλησίασεν Δαυιδ τὸν πάντα Ισραηλ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ του̃ ἀνενέγκαι τὴν κιβωτὸν κυρίου εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἡτοίμασεν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃15 ויקהל דויד את כל ישראל אל ירושלם להעלות את ארון יהוה אל מקומו אשר הכין לו (Ⅴ)

et dixit ad eos : Vos, qui estis principes familiarum Leviticarum, sanctificamini cum fratribus vestris, et afferte arcam Domini Dei Israël ad locum qui ei præparatus est :
- Il leur dit: Vous êtes les chefs de famille des Lévites; sanctifiez-vous, vous et vos frères, et faites monter à la place que je lui ai préparée l'arche de l'Éternel, du Dieu d'Israël. (Ⅱ) - And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it. ne ut a principio, quia non eratis præsentes, percussit nos Dominus ; sic et nunc fiat, illicitum quid nobis agentibus.
- Parce que vous n'y étiez pas la première fois, l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous a frappés; car nous ne l'avons pas cherché selon la loi. (Ⅱ) - For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order. (Ⅲ) - ὅτι οὐκ ἐν τω̨̃ πρότερον ὑμα̃ς εἰ̃ναι διέκοψεν ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν ἐν ἡμι̃ν ὅτι οὐκ ἐζητήσαμεν ἐν κρίματι (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃15 כי למבראשונה לא אתם פרץ יהוה אלהינו בנו כי לא דרשנהו כמשפט (Ⅴ)

Sanctificati sunt ergo sacerdotes et Levitæ ut portarent arcam Domini Dei Israël.
- Les sacrificateurs et les Lévites se sanctifièrent pour faire monter l'arche de l'Éternel, du Dieu d'Israël. (Ⅱ) - So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἡγνίσθησαν οἱ ἱερει̃ς καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται του̃ ἀνενέγκαι τὴν κιβωτὸν θεου̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃15 ויתקדשו הכהנים והלוים להעלות את ארון יהוה אלהי ישראל (Ⅴ)

Et tulerunt filii Levi arcam Dei, sicut præceperat Moyses juxta verbum Domini, humeris suis in vectibus.
- Les fils des Lévites portèrent l'arche de Dieu sur leurs épaules avec des barres, comme Moïse l'avait ordonné d'après la parole de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἔλαβον οἱ υἱοὶ τω̃ν Λευιτω̃ν τὴν κιβωτὸν του̃ θεου̃ ὡς ἐνετείλατο Μωυση̃ς ἐν λόγω̨ θεου̃ κατὰ τὴν γραφήν ἐν ἀναφορευ̃σιν ἐπ' αὐτούς (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃15 וישאו בני הלוים את ארון האלהים כאשר צוה משה כדבר יהוה בכתפם במטות עליהם פ (Ⅴ)

Dixitque David principibus Levitarum, ut constituerent de fratribus suis cantores in organis musicorum, nablis videlicet, et lyris, et cymbalis, ut resonaret in excelsis sonitus lætitiæ.
- Et David dit aux chefs des Lévites de disposer leurs frères les chantres avec des instruments de musique, des luths, des harpes et des cymbales, qu'ils devaient faire retentir de sons éclatants en signe de réjouissance. (Ⅱ) - And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ τοι̃ς ἄρχουσιν τω̃ν Λευιτω̃ν στήσατε τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτω̃ν τοὺς ψαλτω̨δοὺς ἐν ὀργάνοις ὠ̨δω̃ν νάβλαις καὶ κινύραις καὶ κυμβάλοις του̃ φωνη̃σαι εἰς ὕψος ἐν φωνη̨̃ εὐφροσύνης (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃15 ויאמר דויד לשרי הלוים להעמיד את אחיהם המשררים בכלי שיר נבלים וכנרות ומצלתים משמיעים להרים בקול לשמחה פ (Ⅴ)

Constitueruntque Levitas : Heman filium Joël, et de fratribus ejus Asaph filium Barachiæ : de filiis vero Merari, fratribus eorum : Ethan filium Casaiæ.
- Les Lévites disposèrent Héman, fils de Joël; parmi ses frères, Asaph, fils de Bérékia; et parmi les fils de Merari, leurs frères, Éthan, fils de Kuschaja; (Ⅱ) - So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah; (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ Λευι̃ται τὸν Αιμαν υἱὸν Ιωηλ ἐκ τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν αὐτου̃ Ασαφ υἱὸς Βαραχια καὶ ἐκ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Μεραρι ἀδελφω̃ν αὐτου̃ Αιθαν υἱὸς Κισαιου (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃15 ויעמידו הלוים את הימן בן יואל ומן אחיו אסף בן ברכיהו סומן בני מררי אחיהם איתן בן קושיהו (Ⅴ)

- puis avec eux leurs frères du second ordre Zacharie, Ben, Jaaziel, Schemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Éliab, Benaja, Maaséja, Matthithia, Éliphelé et Miknéja, et Obed Édom et Jeïel, les portiers. (Ⅱ) - And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters. (Ⅲ) - καὶ μετ' αὐτω̃ν ἀδελφοὶ αὐτω̃ν οἱ δεύτεροι Ζαχαριας καὶ Οζιηλ καὶ Σεμιραμωθ καὶ Ιιηλ καὶ Ωνι καὶ Ελιαβ καὶ Βαναια καὶ Μαασαια καὶ Ματταθια καὶ Ελιφαλια καὶ Μακενια καὶ Αβδεδομ καὶ Ιιηλ καὶ Οζιας οἱ πυλωροί (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃15 ועמהם אחיהם המשנים זכריהו בן ויעזיאל ושמירמות ויחיאל ועני אליאב ובניהו ומעשיהו ומתתיהו ואליפלהו ומקניהו ועבד אדם ויעיאל השערים (Ⅴ)

(Ⅱ) - So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass; (Ⅲ) - καὶ οἱ ψαλτω̨δοί Αιμαν Ασαφ καὶ Αιθαν ἐν κυμβάλοις χαλκοι̃ς του̃ ἀκουσθη̃ναι ποιη̃σαι (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃15 והמשררים הימן אסף ואיתן במצלתים נחשת להשמיע (Ⅴ)

- Zacharie, Aziel, Schemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Éliab, Maaséja et Benaja avaient des luths sur alamoth; (Ⅱ) - And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth; (Ⅲ) - Ζαχαριας καὶ Οζιηλ Σεμιραμωθ Ιιηλ Ωνι Ελιαβ Μασαιας Βαναιας ἐν νάβλαις ἐπὶ αλαιμωθ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃15 וזכריה ועזיאל ושמירמות ויחיאל ועני ואליאב ומעשיהו ובניהו בנבלים על עלמות (Ⅴ)

(Ⅱ) - And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel. (Ⅲ) - καὶ Ματταθιας καὶ Ελιφαλιας καὶ Μακενιας καὶ Αβδεδομ καὶ Ιιηλ καὶ Οζιας ἐν κινύραις αμασενιθ του̃ ἐνισχυ̃σαι (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃15 ומתתיהו ואליפלהו ומקניהו ועבד אדם ויעיאל ועזזיהו בכנרות על השמינית לנצח (Ⅴ)

Chonenias autem princeps Levitarum, prophetiæ præerat, ad præcinendam melodiam : erat quippe valde sapiens.
- Kenania, chef de musique parmi les Lévites, dirigeait la musique, car il était habile. (Ⅱ) - And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful. (Ⅲ) - καὶ Χωνενια ἄρχων τω̃ν Λευιτω̃ν ἄρχων τω̃ν ὠ̨δω̃ν ὅτι συνετὸς ἠ̃ν (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃15 וכנניהו שר הלוים במשא יסר במשא כי מבין הוא (Ⅴ)

- Bérékia et Elkana étaient portiers de l'arche. (Ⅱ) - And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark. (Ⅲ) - καὶ Βαραχια καὶ Ηλκανα πυλωροὶ τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃15 וברכיה ואלקנה שערים לארון (Ⅴ)

Porro Sebenias, et Josaphat, et Nathanaël, et Amasai, et Zacharias, et Banaias, et Eliezer sacerdotes, clangebant tubis coram arca Dei : et Obededom et Jehias erant janitores arcæ.\
- Schebania, Josaphat, Nethaneel, Amasaï, Zacharie, Benaja et Éliézer, les sacrificateurs, sonnaient des trompettes devant l'arche de Dieu. Obed Édom et Jechija étaient portiers de l'arche. (Ⅱ) - And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark. (Ⅲ) - καὶ Σοβνια καὶ Ιωσαφατ καὶ Ναθαναηλ καὶ Αμασαι καὶ Ζαχαρια καὶ Βαναι καὶ Ελιεζερ οἱ ἱερει̃ς σαλπίζοντες ται̃ς σάλπιγξιν ἔμπροσθεν τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ του̃ θεου̃ καὶ Αβδεδομ καὶ Ιια πυλωροὶ τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃15 ושבניהו ויושפט ונתנאל ועמשי וזכריהו ובניהו ואליעזר הכהנים *מחצצרים **מחצרים בחצצרות לפני ארון האלהים ועבד אדם ויחיה שערים לארון (Ⅴ)

Igitur David, et omnes majores natu Israël, et tribuni, ierunt ad deportandam arcam fœderis Domini de domo Obededom cum lætitia.
- David, les anciens d'Israël, et les chefs de milliers se mirent en route pour faire monter l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel depuis la maison d'Obed Édom, au milieu des réjouissances. (Ⅱ) - So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἠ̃ν Δαυιδ καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι Ισραηλ καὶ οἱ χιλίαρχοι οἱ πορευόμενοι του̃ ἀναγαγει̃ν τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου ἐξ οἴκου Αβδεδομ ἐν εὐφροσύνη̨ (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃15 ויהי דויד וזקני ישראל ושרי האלפים ההלכים להעלות את ארון ברית יהוה מן בית עבד אדם בשמחה ס (Ⅴ)

Cumque adjuvisset Deus Levitas qui portabant arcam fœderis Domini, immolabantur septem tauri, et septem arietes.
- Ce fut avec l'assistance de Dieu que les Lévites portèrent l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel; et l'on sacrifia sept taureaux et sept béliers. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ κατισχυ̃σαι τὸν θεὸν τοὺς Λευίτας αἴροντας τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ ἔθυσαν ἑπτὰ μόσχους καὶ ἑπτὰ κριούς (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃15 ויהי בעזר האלהים את הלוים נשאי ארון ברית יהוה ויזבחו שבעה פרים ושבעה אילים (Ⅴ)

Porro David erat indutus stola byssina, et universi Levitæ qui portabant arcam, cantoresque, et Chonenias princeps prophetiæ inter cantores : David autem etiam indutus erat ephod lineo.
- David était revêtu d'un manteau de byssus; il en était de même de tous les Lévites qui portaient l'arche, des chantres, et de Kenania, chef de musique parmi les chantres; et David avait sur lui un éphod de lin. (Ⅱ) - And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen. Universusque Israël deducebant arcam fœderis Domini in jubilo, et sonitu buccinæ, et tubis, et cymbalis, et nablis, et citharis concrepantes.
- Tout Israël fit monter l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel avec des cris de joie, au son des clairons, des trompettes et des cymbales, et en faisant retentir les luths et les harpes. (Ⅱ) - Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps. (Ⅲ) - καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ ἀνάγοντες τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου ἐν σημασία̨ καὶ ἐν φωνη̨̃ σωφερ καὶ ἐν σάλπιγξιν καὶ ἐν κυμβάλοις ἀναφωνου̃ντες νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κινύραις (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃15 וכל ישראל מעלים את ארון ברית יהוה בתרועה ובקול שופר ובחצצרות ובמצלתים משמעים בנבלים וכנרות (Ⅴ)

Cumque pervenisset arca fœderis Domini usque ad civitatem David, Michol filia Saul prospiciens per fenestram vidit regem David saltantem atque ludentem, et despexit eum in corde suo.
- Comme l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel entrait dans la cité de David, Mical, fille de Saül, regardait par la fenêtre, et voyant le roi David sauter et danser, elle le méprisa dans son coeur. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐγένετο κιβωτὸς διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ ἠ̃λθεν ἕως πόλεως Δαυιδ καὶ Μελχολ θυγάτηρ Σαουλ παρέκυψεν διὰ τη̃ς θυρίδος καὶ εἰ̃δεν τὸν βασιλέα Δαυιδ ὀρχούμενον καὶ παίζοντα καὶ ἐξουδένωσεν αὐτὸν ἐν τη̨̃ ψυχη̨̃ αὐτη̃ς (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃15 ויהי ארון ברית יהוה בא עד עיר דויד ומיכל בת שאול נשקפה בעד החלון ותרא את המלך דויד מרקד ומשחק ותבז לו בלבה פ (Ⅴ)
