Igitur David, senex et plenus dierum, regem constituit Salomonem filium suum super Israël.
- David, âgé et rassasié de jours, établit Salomon, son fils, roi sur Israël. (Ⅱ) - So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel. - Il assembla tous les chefs d'Israël, les sacrificateurs et les Lévites. (Ⅱ) - And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites. Numeratique sunt Levitæ a triginta annis et supra : et inventa sunt triginta octo millia virorum.
- On fit le dénombrement des Lévites, depuis l'âge de trente ans et au-dessus; comptés par tête et par homme, ils se trouvèrent au nombre de trente-huit mille. (Ⅱ) - Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand. - Jachath était le chef, et Zina le second; Jeusch et Beria n'eurent pas beaucoup de fils, et ils formèrent une seule maison paternelle dans le dénombrement. (Ⅱ) - And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were in one reckoning, according to their father's house. Filii Amram : Aaron et Moyses. Separatusque est Aaron ut ministraret in Sancto sanctorum, ipse et filii ejus in sempiternum, et adoleret incensum Domino secundum ritum suum, ac benediceret nomini ejus in perpetuum.
- Fils d'Amram: Aaron et Moïse. Aaron fut mis à part pour être sanctifié comme très saint, lui et ses fils à perpétuité, pour offrir les parfums devant l'Éternel, pour faire son service, et pour bénir à toujours en son nom. (Ⅱ) - The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever. Hi filii Levi in cognationibus et familiis suis, principes per vices, et numerum capitum singulorum qui faciebant opera ministerii domus Domini, a viginti annis et supra.
- Ce sont là les fils de Lévi, selon leurs maisons paternelles, les chefs des maisons paternelles, d'après le dénombrement qu'on en fit en comptant les noms par tête. Ils étaient employés au service de la maison de l'Éternel, depuis l'âge de vingt ans et au-dessus. (Ⅱ) - These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward. Dixit enim David : Requiem dedit Dominus Deus Israël populo suo, et habitationem Jerusalem usque in æternum.
- Car David dit: L'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, a donné du repos à son peuple, et il habitera pour toujours à Jérusalem; (Ⅱ) - For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever: (Ⅲ) - ὅτι εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ κατέπαυσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ κατεσκήνωσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἕως αἰω̃νος (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃23 כי אמר דויד הניח יהוה אלהי ישראל לעמו וישכן בירושלם עד לעולם (Ⅴ)

Nec erit officii Levitarum ut ultra portent tabernaculum et omnia vasa ejus ad ministrandum.
- et les Lévites n'auront plus à porter le tabernacle et tous les ustensiles pour son service. (Ⅱ) - And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof. (Ⅲ) - καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται οὐκ ἠ̃σαν αἴροντες τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ τὰ πάντα σκεύη αὐτη̃ς εἰς τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτη̃ς (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃23 וגם ללוים אין לשאת את המשכן ואת כל כליו לעבדתו (Ⅴ)

Juxta præcepta quoque David novissima, supputabitur numerus filiorum Levi a viginti annis et supra.
- Ce fut d'après les derniers ordres de David qu'eut lieu le dénombrement des fils de Lévi depuis l'âge de vingt ans et au-dessus. (Ⅱ) - For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above: (Ⅲ) - ὅτι ἐν τοι̃ς λόγοις Δαυιδ τοι̃ς ἐσχάτοις ἐστὶν ὁ ἀριθμὸς υἱω̃ν Λευι ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετου̃ς καὶ ἐπάνω (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃23 כי בדברי דויד האחרנים המה מספר בני לוי מבן עשרים שנה ולמעלה (Ⅴ)

Et erunt sub manu filiorum Aaron in cultum domus Domini, in vestibulis, et in exedris, et in loco purificationis, et in sanctuario, et in universis operibus ministerii templi Domini.
- Placés auprès des fils d'Aaron pour le service de la maison de l'Éternel, ils avaient à prendre soin des parvis et des chambres, de la purification de toutes les choses saintes, des ouvrages concernant le service de la maison de Dieu, (Ⅱ) - Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God; (Ⅲ) - ὅτι ἔστησεν αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ χει̃ρα Ααρων του̃ λειτουργει̃ν ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου ἐπὶ τὰς αὐλὰς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ παστοφόρια καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν καθαρισμὸν τω̃ν πάντων ἁγίων καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα λειτουργίας οἴκου του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃23 כי מעמדם ליד בני אהרן לעבדת בית יהוה על החצרות ועל הלשכות ועל טהרת לכל קדש ומעשה עבדת בית האלהים (Ⅴ)

Sacerdotes autem, super panes propositionis, et ad similæ sacrificium, et ad lagana azyma, et sartaginem, et ad torrendum, et super omne pondus atque mensuram.
- des pains de proposition, de la fleur de farine pour les offrandes, des galettes sans levain, des gâteaux cuits sur la plaque et des gâteaux frits, de toutes les mesures de capacité et de longueur: (Ⅱ) - Both for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size; (Ⅲ) - εἰς τοὺς ἄρτους τη̃ς προθέσεως εἰς τὴν σεμίδαλιν τη̃ς θυσίας καὶ εἰς τὰ λάγανα τὰ ἄζυμα καὶ εἰς τήγανον καὶ εἰς τὴν πεφυραμένην καὶ εἰς πα̃ν μέτρον (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃23 וללחם המערכת ולסלת למנחה ולרקיקי המצות ולמחבת ולמרבכת ולכל משורה ומדה (Ⅴ)

Levitæ vero ut stent mane ad confitendum et canendum Domino : similiterque ad vesperam,
- ils avaient à se présenter chaque matin et chaque soir, afin de louer et de célébrer l'Éternel, (Ⅱ) - And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even: (Ⅲ) - καὶ του̃ στη̃ναι πρωὶ του̃ αἰνει̃ν ἐξομολογει̃σθαι τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ οὕτως τὸ ἑσπέρας (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃23 ולעמד בבקר בבקר להדות ולהלל ליהוה וכן לערב (Ⅴ)

tam in oblatione holocaustorum Domini, quam in sabbatis et calendis et solemnitatibus reliquis juxta numerum et cæremonias uniuscujusque rei, jugiter coram Domino.
- et à offrir continuellement devant l'Éternel tous les holocaustes à l'Éternel, aux sabbats, aux nouvelles lunes et aux fêtes, selon le nombre et les usages prescrits. (Ⅱ) - And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD: (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐπὶ πάντων τω̃ν ἀναφερομένων ὁλοκαυτωμάτων τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐν τοι̃ς σαββάτοις καὶ ἐν ται̃ς νεομηνίαις καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἑορται̃ς κατὰ ἀριθμὸν κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν ἐπ' αὐτοι̃ς διὰ παντὸς τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ (Ⅳ) - 31 ׃23 ולכל העלות עלות ליהוה לשבתות לחדשים ולמעדים במספר כמשפט עליהם תמיד לפני יהוה (Ⅴ)

Et custodiant observationes tabernaculi fœderis, et ritum sanctuarii, et observationem filiorum Aaron fratrum suorum, ut ministrent in domo Domini.
- Ils donnaient leurs soins à la tente d'assignation, au sanctuaire, et aux fils d'Aaron, leurs frères, pour le service de la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD. (Ⅲ) - καὶ φυλάξουσιν τὰς φυλακὰς σκηνη̃ς του̃ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς υἱω̃ν Ααρων ἀδελφω̃ν αὐτω̃ν του̃ λειτουργει̃ν ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου (Ⅳ) - 32 ׃23 ושמרו את משמרת אהל מועד ואת משמרת הקדש ומשמרת בני אהרן אחיהם לעבדת בית יהוה פ (Ⅴ)
