Prope est ut veniat tempus ejus,/ et dies ejus non elongabuntur./ Miserebitur enim Dominus Jacob,/ et eliget adhuc de Israël,/ et requiescere eos faciet super humum suam ;/ adjungetur advena ad eos,/ et adhærebit domui Jacob./
- Car l'Éternel aura pitié de Jacob, Il choisira encore Israël, Et il les rétablira dans leur pays; Les étrangers se joindront à eux, Et ils s'uniront à la maison de Jacob. (Ⅱ) - For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐλεήσει κύριος τὸν Ιακωβ καὶ ἐκλέξεται ἔτι τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἀναπαύσονται ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ ὁ γιώρας προστεθήσεται πρὸς αὐτοὺς καὶ προστεθήσεται πρὸς τὸν οἰ̃κον Ιακωβ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃14 כי ירחם יהוה את יעקב ובחר עוד בישראל והניחם על אדמתם ונלוה הגר עליהם ונספחו על בית יעקב (Ⅴ)

Et tenebunt eos populi,/ et adducent eos in locum suum ;/ et possidebit eos domus Israël/ super terram Domini/ in servos et ancillas :/ et erunt capientes eos qui se ceperant,/ et subjicient exactores suos.]\
- Les peuples les prendront, et les ramèneront à leur demeure, Et la maison d'Israël les possédera dans le pays de l'Éternel, Comme serviteurs et comme servantes; Ils retiendront captifs ceux qui les avaient faits captifs, Et ils domineront sur leurs oppresseurs. (Ⅱ) - And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors. (Ⅲ) - καὶ λήμψονται αὐτοὺς ἔθνη καὶ εἰσάξουσιν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτω̃ν καὶ κατακληρονομήσουσιν καὶ πληθυνθήσονται ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς του̃ θεου̃ εἰς δούλους καὶ δούλας καὶ ἔσονται αἰχμάλωτοι οἱ αἰχμαλωτεύσαντες αὐτούς καὶ κυριευθήσονται οἱ κυριεύσαντες αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃14 ולקחום עמים והביאום אל מקומם והתנחלום בית ישראל על אדמת יהוה לעבדים ולשפחות והיו שבים לשביהם ורדו בנגשיהם ס (Ⅴ)

Et erit in die illa : cum requiem dederit tibi Deus/ a labore tuo, et a concussione tua,/ et a servitute dura qua ante servisti,/
- Et quand l'Éternel t'aura donné du repos, Après tes fatigues et tes agitations, Et après la dure servitude qui te fut imposée, (Ⅱ) - And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἔσται ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἀναπαύσει σε ὁ θεὸς ἐκ τη̃ς ὀδύνης καὶ του̃ θυμου̃ σου καὶ τη̃ς δουλείας σου τη̃ς σκληρα̃ς ἡ̃ς ἐδούλευσας αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃14 והיה ביום הניח יהוה לך מעצבך ומרגזך ומן העבדה הקשה אשר עבד בך (Ⅴ)

sumes parabolam istam/ contra regem Babylonis, et dices :/ Quomodo cessavit exactor ;/ quievit tributum ?/
- Alors tu prononceras ce chant sur le roi de Babylone, Et tu diras: Eh quoi! le tyran n'est plus! L'oppression a cessé! (Ⅱ) - That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! (Ⅲ) - καὶ λήμψη̨ τὸν θρη̃νον του̃τον ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα Βαβυλω̃νος καὶ ἐρει̃ς ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ πω̃ς ἀναπέπαυται ὁ ἀπαιτω̃ν καὶ ἀναπέπαυται ὁ ἐπισπουδαστής (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃14 ונשאת המשל הזה על מלך בבל ואמרת איך שבת נגש שבתה מדהבה (Ⅴ)

- L'Éternel a brisé le bâton des méchants, La verge des dominateurs. (Ⅱ) - The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. (Ⅲ) - συνέτριψεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν ζυγὸν τω̃ν ἁμαρτωλω̃ν τὸν ζυγὸν τω̃ν ἀρχόντων (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃14 שבר יהוה מטה רשעים שבט משלים (Ⅴ)

cædentem populos in indignatione/ plaga insanabili,/ subjicientem in furore gentes,/ persequentem crudeliter./
- Celui qui dans sa fureur frappait les peuples, Par des coups sans relâche, Celui qui dans sa colère subjuguait les nations, Est poursuivi sans ménagement. (Ⅱ) - He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. (Ⅲ) - πατάξας ἔθνος θυμω̨̃ πληγη̨̃ ἀνιάτω̨ παίων ἔθνος πληγὴν θυμου̃ ἣ οὐκ ἐφείσατο (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃14 מכה עמים בעברה מכת בלתי סרה רדה באף גוים מרדף בלי חשך (Ⅴ)

Conquievit et siluit omnis terra,/ gavisa est et exsultavit ;/
- Toute la terre jouit du repos et de la paix; On éclate en chants d'allégresse, (Ⅱ) - The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. (Ⅲ) - ἀνεπαύσατο πεποιθώς πα̃σα ἡ γη̃ βοα̨̃ μετ' εὐφροσύνης (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃14 נחה שקטה כל הארץ פצחו רנה (Ⅴ)

abietes quoque lætatæ sunt super te,/ et cedri Libani :/ ex quo dormisti, non ascendet/ qui succidat nos./
- Les cyprès même, les cèdres du Liban, se réjouissent de ta chute: Depuis que tu es tombé, personne ne monte pour nous abattre. (Ⅱ) - Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. (Ⅲ) - καὶ τὰ ξύλα του̃ Λιβάνου εὐφράνθησαν ἐπὶ σοὶ καὶ ἡ κέδρος του̃ Λιβάνου ἀφ' οὑ̃ σὺ κεκοίμησαι οὐκ ἀνέβη ὁ κόπτων ἡμα̃ς (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃14 גם ברושים שמחו לך ארזי לבנון מאז שכבת לא יעלה הכרת עלינו (Ⅴ)

Infernus subter conturbatus est/ in occursum adventus tui ;/ suscitavit tibi gigantes./ Omnes principes terræ/ surrexerunt de soliis suis,/ omnes principes nationum./
- Le séjour des morts s'émeut jusque dans ses profondeurs, Pour t'accueillir à ton arrivée; Il réveille devant toi les ombres, tous les grands de la terre, Il fait lever de leurs trônes tous les rois des nations. (Ⅱ) - Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Ⅲ) - ὁ ἅ̨δης κάτωθεν ἐπικράνθη συναντήσας σοι συνηγέρθησάν σοι πάντες οἱ γίγαντες οἱ ἄρξαντες τη̃ς γη̃ς οἱ ἐγείραντες ἐκ τω̃ν θρόνων αὐτω̃ν πάντας βασιλει̃ς ἐθνω̃ν (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃14 שאול מתחת רגזה לך לקראת בואך עורר לך רפאים כל עתודי ארץ הקים מכסאותם כל מלכי גוים (Ⅴ)

Universi respondebunt, et dicent tibi :/ Et tu vulneratus es sicut et nos ;/ nostri similis effectus es./
- Tous prennent la parole pour te dire: Toi aussi, tu es sans force comme nous, Tu es devenu semblable à nous! (Ⅱ) - All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? (Ⅲ) - πάντες ἀποκριθήσονται καὶ ἐρου̃σίν σοι καὶ σὺ ἑάλως ὥσπερ καὶ ἡμει̃ς ἐν ἡμι̃ν δὲ κατελογίσθης (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃14 כלם יענו ויאמרו אליך גם אתה חלית כמונו אלינו נמשלת (Ⅴ)

Detracta est ad inferos superbia tua,/ concidit cadaver tuum ;/ subter te sternetur tinea,/ et operimentum tuum erunt vermes./
- Ta magnificence est descendue dans le séjour des morts, Avec le son de tes luths; Sous toi est une couche de vers, Et les vers sont ta couverture. (Ⅱ) - Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. (Ⅲ) - κατέβη δὲ εἰς ἅ̨δου ἡ δόξα σου ἡ πολλή σου εὐφροσύνη ὑποκάτω σου στρώσουσιν ση̃ψιν καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμά σου σκώληξ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃14 הורד שאול גאונך המית נבליך תחתיך יצע רמה ומכסיך תולעה (Ⅴ)

Quomodo cecidisti de cælo,/ Lucifer, qui mane oriebaris ?/ corruisti in terram,/ qui vulnerabas gentes ?/
- Te voilà tombé du ciel, Astre brillant, fils de l'aurore! Tu es abattu à terre, Toi, le vainqueur des nations! (Ⅱ) - How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (Ⅲ) - πω̃ς ἐξέπεσεν ἐκ του̃ οὐρανου̃ ὁ ἑωσφόρος ὁ πρωὶ ἀνατέλλων συνετρίβη εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ὁ ἀποστέλλων πρὸς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃14 איך נפלת משמים הילל בן שחר נגדעת לארץ חולש על גוים (Ⅴ)

Qui dicebas in corde tuo :/ In cælum conscendam,/ super astra Dei/ exaltabo solium meum ;/ sedebo in monte testamenti,/ in lateribus aquilonis ;/
- Tu disais en ton coeur: Je monterai au ciel, J'élèverai mon trône au-dessus des étoiles de Dieu; Je m'assiérai sur la montagne de l'assemblée, A l'extrémité du septentrion; (Ⅱ) - For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (Ⅲ) - σὺ δὲ εἰ̃πας ἐν τη̨̃ διανοία̨ σου εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἀναβήσομαι ἐπάνω τω̃ν ἄστρων του̃ οὐρανου̃ θήσω τὸν θρόνον μου καθιω̃ ἐν ὄρει ὑψηλω̨̃ ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ ὑψηλὰ τὰ πρὸς βορρα̃ν (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃14 ואתה אמרת בלבבך השמים אעלה ממעל לכוכבי אל ארים כסאי ואשב בהר מועד בירכתי צפון (Ⅴ)

- Je monterai sur le sommet des nues, Je serai semblable au Très Haut. (Ⅱ) - I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Ⅲ) - ἀναβήσομαι ἐπάνω τω̃ν νεφελω̃ν ἔσομαι ὅμοιος τω̨̃ ὑψίστω̨ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃14 אעלה על במתי עב אדמה לעליון (Ⅴ)

- Mais tu as été précipité dans le séjour des morts, Dans les profondeurs de la fosse. (Ⅱ) - Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. (Ⅲ) - νυ̃ν δὲ εἰς ἅ̨δου καταβήση̨ καὶ εἰς τὰ θεμέλια τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃14 אך אל שאול תורד אל ירכתי בור (Ⅴ)

Qui te viderint, ad te inclinabuntur,/ teque prospicient :/ Numquid iste est vir qui conturbavit terram,/ qui concussit regna,/
- Ceux qui te voient fixent sur toi leurs regards, Ils te considèrent attentivement: Est-ce là cet homme qui faisait trembler la terre, Qui ébranlait les royaumes, (Ⅱ) - They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; (Ⅲ) - οἱ ἰδόντες σε θαυμάσουσιν ἐπὶ σοὶ καὶ ἐρου̃σιν οὑ̃τος ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ παροξύνων τὴν γη̃ν σείων βασιλει̃ς (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃14 ראיך אליך ישגיחו אליך יתבוננו הזה האיש מרגיז הארץ מרעיש ממלכות (Ⅴ)

- Qui réduisait le monde en désert, Qui ravageait les villes, Et ne relâchait point ses prisonniers? (Ⅱ) - That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? (Ⅲ) - ὁ θεὶς τὴν οἰκουμένην ὅλην ἔρημον καὶ τὰς πόλεις καθει̃λεν τοὺς ἐν ἐπαγωγη̨̃ οὐκ ἔλυσεν (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃14 שם תבל כמדבר ועריו הרס אסיריו לא פתח ביתה (Ⅴ)

- Tous les rois des nations, oui, tous, Reposent avec honneur, chacun dans son tombeau. (Ⅱ) - All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. (Ⅲ) - πάντες οἱ βασιλει̃ς τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν ἐκοιμήθησαν ἐν τιμη̨̃ ἄνθρωπος ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃14 כל מלכי גוים כלם שכבו בכבוד איש בביתו (Ⅴ)

tu autem projectus es de sepulchro tuo,/ quasi stirps inutilis pollutus,/ et obvolutus cum his qui interfecti sunt gladio,/ et descenderunt ad fundamenta laci,/ quasi cadaver putridum./
- Mais toi, tu as été jeté loin de ton sépulcre, Comme un rameau qu'on dédaigne, Comme une dépouille de gens tués à coups d'épée, Et précipités sur les pierres d'une fosse, Comme un cadavre foulé aux pieds. (Ⅱ) - But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. (Ⅲ) - σὺ δὲ ῥιφήση̨ ἐν τοι̃ς ὄρεσιν ὡς νεκρὸς ἐβδελυγμένος μετὰ πολλω̃ν τεθνηκότων ἐκκεκεντημένων μαχαίραις καταβαινόντων εἰς ἅ̨δου ὃν τρόπον ἱμάτιον ἐν αἵματι πεφυρμένον οὐκ ἔσται καθαρόν (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃14 ואתה השלכת מקברך כנצר נתעב לבוש הרגים מטעני חרב יורדי אל אבני בור כפגר מובס (Ⅴ)

Non habebis consortium, neque cum eis in sepultura ;/ tu enim terram tuam disperdidisti,/ tu populum tuum occidisti :/ non vocabitur in æternum/ semen pessimorum./
- Tu n'es pas réuni à eux dans le sépulcre, Car tu as détruit ton pays, tu as fait périr ton peuple: On ne parlera plus jamais de la race des méchants. (Ⅱ) - Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. (Ⅲ) - οὕτως οὐδὲ σὺ ἔση̨ καθαρός διότι τὴν γη̃ν μου ἀπώλεσας καὶ τὸν λαόν μου ἀπέκτεινας οὐ μὴ μείνη̨ς εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να χρόνον σπέρμα πονηρόν (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃14 לא תחד אתם בקבורה כי ארצך שחת עמך הרגת לא יקרא לעולם זרע מרעים (Ⅴ)

Præparate filios ejus occisioni,/ in iniquitate patrum suorum :/ non consurgent, nec hæreditabunt terram,/ neque implebunt faciem orbis civitatum./
- Préparez le massacre des fils, A cause de l'iniquité de leurs pères! Qu'ils ne se relèvent pas pour conquérir la terre, Et remplir le monde d'ennemis! - (Ⅱ) - Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. (Ⅲ) - ἑτοίμασον τὰ τέκνα σου σφαγη̃ναι ται̃ς ἁμαρτίαις του̃ πατρός σου ἵνα μὴ ἀναστω̃σιν καὶ τὴν γη̃ν κληρονομήσωσιν καὶ ἐμπλήσωσι τὴν γη̃ν πόλεων (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃14 הכינו לבניו מטבח בעון אבותם בל יקמו וירשו ארץ ומלאו פני תבל ערים (Ⅴ)

Et consurgam super eos,/ dicit Dominus exercituum ;/ et perdam Babylonis nomen, et reliquias,/ et germen, et progeniem, dicit Dominus ;/
- Je me lèverai contre eux, Dit l'Éternel des armées; J'anéantirai le nom et la trace de Babylone, Ses descendants et sa postérité, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐπαναστήσομαι αὐτοι̃ς λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ καὶ ἀπολω̃ αὐτω̃ν ὄνομα καὶ κατάλειμμα καὶ σπέρμα τάδε λέγει κύριος (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃14 וקמתי עליהם נאם יהוה צבאות והכרתי לבבל שם ושאר ונין ונכד נאם יהוה (Ⅴ)

et ponam eam in possessionem ericii,/ et in paludes aquarum,/ et scopabo eam in scopa terens,/ dicit Dominus exercituum.]\
- J'en ferai le gîte du hérisson et un marécage, Et je la balaierai avec le balai de la destruction, Dit l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts. (Ⅲ) - καὶ θήσω τὴν Βαβυλωνίαν ἔρημον ὥστε κατοικει̃ν ἐχίνους καὶ ἔσται εἰς οὐδέν καὶ θήσω αὐτὴν πηλου̃ βάραθρον εἰς ἀπώλειαν (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃14 ושמתיה למורש קפד ואגמי מים וטאטאתיה במטאטא השמד נאם יהוה צבאות פ (Ⅴ)

Juravit Dominus exercituum, dicens :/ Si non, ut putavi, ita erit ;/ et quomodo mente tractavi,/
- L'Éternel des armées l'a juré, en disant: Oui, ce que j'ai décidé arrivera, Ce que j'ai résolu s'accomplira. (Ⅱ) - The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: (Ⅲ) - τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ ὃν τρόπον εἴρηκα οὕτως ἔσται καὶ ὃν τρόπον βεβούλευμαι οὕτως μενει̃ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃14 נשבע יהוה צבאות לאמר אם לא כאשר דמיתי כן היתה וכאשר יעצתי היא תקום (Ⅴ)

sic eveniet :/ ut conteram Assyrium in terra mea,/ et in montibus meis conculcem eum ;/ et auferetur ab eis jugum ejus,/ et onus illius ab humero eorum tolletur./
- Je briserai l'Assyrien dans mon pays, Je le foulerai aux pieds sur mes montagnes; Et son joug leur sera ôté, Et son fardeau sera ôté de leurs épaules. (Ⅱ) - That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. (Ⅲ) - του̃ ἀπολέσαι τοὺς 'Ασσυρίους ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς τη̃ς ἐμη̃ς καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν ὀρέων μου καὶ ἔσονται εἰς καταπάτημα καὶ ἀφαιρεθήσεται ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν ὁ ζυγὸς αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὸ κυ̃δος αὐτω̃ν ἀπὸ τω̃ν ὤμων ἀφαιρεθήσεται (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃14 לשבר אשור בארצי ועל הרי אבוסנו וסר מעליהם עלו וסבלו מעל שכמו יסור (Ⅴ)

Hoc consilium quod cogitavi super omnem terram ;/ et hæc est manus extenta super universas gentes./
- Voilà la résolution prise contre toute la terre, Voilà la main étendue sur toutes les nations. (Ⅱ) - This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. (Ⅲ) - αὕτη ἡ βουλή ἣν βεβούλευται κύριος ἐπὶ τὴν οἰκουμένην ὅλην καὶ αὕτη ἡ χεὶρ ἡ ὑψηλὴ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τη̃ς οἰκουμένης (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃14 זאת העצה היעוצה על כל הארץ וזאת היד הנטויה על כל הגוים (Ⅴ)

Dominus enim exercituum decrevit ; et quis poterit infirmare ?/ et manus ejus extenta ; et quis avertet eam ?]\
- L'Éternel des armées a pris cette résolution: qui s'y opposera? Sa main est étendue: qui la détournera? (Ⅱ) - For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? In anno quo mortuus est rex Achaz, factum est onus istud :
- L'année de la mort du roi Achaz, cet oracle fut prononcé: (Ⅱ) - In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden. (Ⅲ) - του̃ ἔτους οὑ̃ ἀπέθανεν Αχαζ ὁ βασιλεύς ἐγενήθη τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃14 בשנת מות המלך אחז היה המשא הזה (Ⅴ)

Ne lætaris, Philisthæa omnis tu,/ quoniam comminuta est virga percussoris tui ;/ de radice enim colubri egredietur regulus,/ et semen ejus absorbens volucrem./
- Ne te réjouis pas, pays des Philistins, De ce que la verge qui te frappait est brisée! Car de la racine du serpent sortira un basilic, Et son fruit sera un dragon volant. (Ⅱ) - Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. (Ⅲ) - μὴ εὐφρανθείητε πάντες οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι συνετρίβη γὰρ ὁ ζυγὸς του̃ παίοντος ὑμα̃ς ἐκ γὰρ σπέρματος ὄφεων ἐξελεύσεται ἔκγονα ἀσπίδων καὶ τὰ ἔκγονα αὐτω̃ν ἐξελεύσονται ὄφεις πετόμενοι (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃14 אל תשמחי פלשת כלך כי נשבר שבט מכך כי משרש נחש יצא צפע ופריו שרף מעופף (Ⅴ)

Et pascentur primogeniti pauperum,/ et pauperes fiducialiter requiescent ;/ et interire faciam in fame radicem tuam,/ et reliquias tuas interficiam./
- Alors les plus pauvres pourront paître, Et les malheureux reposer en sécurité; Mais je ferai mourir ta racine par la faim, Et ce qui restera de toi sera tué. (Ⅱ) - And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant. (Ⅲ) - καὶ βοσκηθήσονται πτωχοὶ δι' αὐτου̃ πτωχοὶ δὲ ἄνδρες ἐπ' εἰρήνης ἀναπαύσονται ἀνελει̃ δὲ λιμω̨̃ τὸ σπέρμα σου καὶ τὸ κατάλειμμά σου ἀνελει̃ (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃14 ורעו בכורי דלים ואביונים לבטח ירבצו והמתי ברעב שרשך ושאריתך יהרג (Ⅴ)

Ulula, porta ; clama civitas ;/ prostrata est Philisthæa omnis ;/ ab aquilone enim fumus veniet,/ et non est qui effugiet agmen ejus./
- Porte, gémis! ville, lamente-toi! Tremble, pays tout entier des Philistins! Car du nord vient une fumée, Et les rangs de l'ennemi sont serrés. - (Ⅱ) - Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times. (Ⅲ) - ὀλολύζετε πύλαι πόλεων κεκραγέτωσαν πόλεις τεταραγμέναι οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι πάντες ὅτι καπνὸς ἀπὸ βορρα̃ ἔρχεται καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν του̃ εἰ̃ναι (Ⅳ) - 31 ׃14 הילילי שער זעקי עיר נמוג פלשת כלך כי מצפון עשן בא ואין בודד במועדיו (Ⅴ)

Et quid respondebitur nuntiis gentis ?/ Quia Dominus fundavit Sion,/ et in ipso sperabunt pauperes populi ejus.]
- Et que répondra-t-on aux envoyés du peuple? -Que l'Éternel a fondé Sion, Et que les malheureux de son peuple y trouvent un refuge. (Ⅱ) - What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it. (Ⅲ) - καὶ τί ἀποκριθήσονται βασιλει̃ς ἐθνω̃ν ὅτι κύριος ἐθεμελίωσεν Σιων καὶ δι' αὐτου̃ σωθήσονται οἱ ταπεινοὶ του̃ λαου̃ (Ⅳ) - 32 ׃14 ומה יענה מלאכי גוי כי יהוה יסד ציון ובה יחסו עניי עמו ס (Ⅴ)
