Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
- Je levai de nouveau les yeux et je regardai, et voici, il y avait un rouleau qui volait. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπέστρεψα καὶ ἠ̃ρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ εἰ̃δον καὶ ἰδοὺ δρέπανον πετόμενον (Ⅲ) - Et conversus sum, et levavi oculos meos, et vidi, et ecce volumen volans. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃5 ואשוב ואשא עיני ואראה והנה מגלה עפה (Ⅴ)

And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
- Il me dit: Que vois-tu? Je répondis: Je vois un rouleau qui vole; il a vingt coudées de longueur, et dix coudées de largeur. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με τί σὺ βλέπεις καὶ εἰ̃πα ἐγὼ ὁρω̃ δρέπανον πετόμενον μη̃κος πήχεων εἴκοσι καὶ πλάτος πήχεων δέκα (Ⅲ) - Et dixit ad me : Quid tu vides ? Et dixi : Ego video volumen volans : longitudo ejus viginti cubitorum, et latitudo ejus decem cubitorum. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃5 ויאמר אלי מה אתה ראה ואמר אני ראה מגלה עפה ארכה עשרים באמה ורחבה עשר באמה (Ⅴ)

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
- Et il me dit: C'est la malédiction qui se répand sur tout le pays; car selon elle tout voleur sera chassé d'ici, et selon elle tout parjure sera chassé d'ici. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με αὕτη ἡ ἀρὰ ἡ ἐκπορευομένη ἐπὶ πρόσωπον πάσης τη̃ς γη̃ς διότι πα̃ς ὁ κλέπτης ἐκ τούτου ἕως θανάτου ἐκδικηθήσεται καὶ πα̃ς ὁ ἐπίορκος ἐκ τούτου ἕως θανάτου ἐκδικηθήσεται (Ⅲ) - Et dixit ad me : Hæc est maledictio quæ egreditur super faciem omnis terræ : quia omnis fur, sicut ibi scriptum est, judicabitur, et omnis jurans ex hoc similiter judicabitur. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃5 ויאמר אלי זאת האלה היוצאת על פני כל הארץ כי כל הגנב מזה כמוה נקה וכל הנשבע מזה כמוה נקה (Ⅴ)

I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
- Je la répands, dit l'Éternel des armées, afin qu'elle entre dans la maison du voleur et de celui qui jure faussement en mon nom, afin qu'elle y établisse sa demeure, et qu'elle la consume avec le bois et les pierres. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξοίσω αὐτό λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ κλέπτου καὶ εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ ὀμνύοντος τω̨̃ ὀνόματί μου ἐπὶ ψεύδει καὶ καταλύσει ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ οἴκου αὐτου̃ καὶ συντελέσει αὐτὸν καὶ τὰ ξύλα αὐτου̃ καὶ τοὺς λίθους αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Educam illud, dicit Dominus exercituum : et veniet ad domum furis, et ad domum jurantis in nomine meo mendaciter : et commorabitur in medio domus ejus, et consumet eam, et ligna ejus, et lapides ejus.\ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃5 הוצאתיה נאם יהוה צבאות ובאה אל בית הגנב ואל בית הנשבע בשמי לשקר ולנה בתוך ביתו וכלתו ואת עציו ואת אבניו (Ⅴ)

Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.
- L'ange qui parlait avec moi s'avança, et il me dit: Lève les yeux, et regarde ce qui sort là. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλω̃ν ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ἀνάβλεψον τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου καὶ ἰδὲ τί τὸ ἐκπορευόμενον του̃το (Ⅲ) - Et egressus est angelus qui loquebatur in me, et dixit ad me : Leva oculos tuos, et vide quid est hoc quod egreditur. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃5 ויצא המלאך הדבר בי ויאמר אלי שא נא עיניך וראה מה היוצאת הזאת (Ⅴ)

And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.
- Je répondis: Qu'est-ce? Et il dit: C'est l'épha qui sort. Il ajouta: C'est leur iniquité dans tout le pays. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πα τί ἐστιν καὶ εἰ̃πεν του̃το τὸ μέτρον τὸ ἐκπορευόμενον καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὕτη ἡ ἀδικία αὐτω̃ν ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Et dixi : Quidnam est ? Et ait : Hæc est amphora egrediens. Et dixit : Hæc est oculus eorum in universa terra. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃5 ואמר מה היא ויאמר זאת האיפה היוצאת ויאמר זאת עינם בכל הארץ (Ⅴ)

And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.
- Et voici, une masse de plomb s'éleva, et il y avait une femme assise au milieu de l'épha. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἰδοὺ τάλαντον μολίβου ἐξαιρόμενον καὶ ἰδοὺ μία γυνὴ ἐκάθητο ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ μέτρου (Ⅲ) - Et ecce talentum plumbi portabatur, et ecce mulier una sedens in medio amphoræ. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃5 והנה ככר עפרת נשאת וזאת אשה אחת יושבת בתוך האיפה (Ⅴ)

And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
- Il dit: C'est l'iniquité. Et il la repoussa dans l'épha, et il jeta sur l'ouverture la masse de plomb. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ ἀνομία καὶ ἔρριψεν αὐτὴν ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ μέτρου καὶ ἔρριψεν τὸν λίθον του̃ μολίβου εἰς τὸ στόμα αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et dixit : Hæc est impietas. Et projecit eam in medio amphoræ, et misit massam plumbeam in os ejus. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃5 ויאמר זאת הרשעה וישלך אתה אל תוך האיפה וישלך את אבן העפרת אל פיה ס (Ⅴ)

Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
- Je levai les yeux et je regardai, et voici, deux femmes parurent. Le vent soufflait dans leurs ailes; elles avaient des ailes comme celles de la cigogne. Elles enlevèrent l'épha entre la terre et le ciel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃ρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ εἰ̃δον καὶ ἰδοὺ δύο γυναι̃κες ἐκπορευόμεναι καὶ πνευ̃μα ἐν ται̃ς πτέρυξιν αὐτω̃ν καὶ αὑ̃ται εἰ̃χον πτέρυγας ὡς πτέρυγας ἔποπος καὶ ἀνέλαβον τὸ μέτρον ἀνὰ μέσον τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον του̃ οὐρανου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et levavi oculos meos, et vidi : et ecce duæ mulieres egredientes : et spiritus in alis earum, et habebant alas quasi alas milvi, et levaverunt amphoram inter terram et cælum. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃5 ואשא עיני וארא והנה שתים נשים יוצאות ורוח בכנפיהם ולהנה כנפים ככנפי החסידה ותשאנה את האיפה בין הארץ ובין השמים (Ⅴ)

Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
- Je dis à l'ange qui parlait avec moi: Où emportent-elles l'épha? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πα πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον τὸν λαλου̃ντα ἐν ἐμοί που̃ αὑ̃ται ἀποφέρουσιν τὸ μέτρον (Ⅲ) - Et dixi ad angelum qui loquebatur in me : Quo istæ deferunt amphoram ? (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃5 ואמר אל המלאך הדבר בי אנה המה מולכות את האיפה (Ⅴ)

And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
- Il me répondit: Elles vont lui bâtir une maison dans le pays de Schinear; et quand elle sera prête, il sera déposé là dans son lieu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με οἰκοδομη̃σαι αὐτω̨̃ οἰκίαν ἐν γη̨̃ Βαβυλω̃νος καὶ ἑτοιμάσαι καὶ θήσουσιν αὐτὸ ἐκει̃ ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et dixit ad me : Ut ædificetur ei domus in terra Sennaar, et stabiliatur, et ponatur ibi super basem suam. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃5 ויאמר אלי לבנות לה בית בארץ שנער והוכן והניחה שם על מכנתה ס (Ⅴ)
