21. 1

Visitavit autem Dominus Saram, sicut promiserat : et implevit quæ locutus est.

- L'Éternel se souvint de ce qu'il avait dit à Sara, et l'Éternel accomplit pour Sara ce qu'il avait promis. (Ⅱ)

- And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ κύριος ἐπεσκέψατο τὴν Σαρραν καθὰ εἰ̃πεν καὶ ἐποίησεν κύριος τη̨̃ Σαρρα καθὰ ἐλάλησεν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃21 ויהוה פקד את שרה כאשר אמר ויעש יהוה לשרה כאשר דבר ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 2

Concepitque et peperit filium in senectute sua, tempore quo prædixerat ei Deus.

- Sara devint enceinte, et elle enfanta un fils à Abraham dans sa vieillesse, au temps fixé dont Dieu lui avait parlé. (Ⅱ)

- For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ συλλαβου̃σα ἔτεκεν Σαρρα τω̨̃ Αβρααμ υἱὸν εἰς τὸ γη̃ρας εἰς τὸν καιρόν καθὰ ἐλάλησεν αὐτω̨̃ κύριος (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃21 ותהר ותלד שרה לאברהם בן לזקניו למועד אשר דבר אתו אלהים ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 3

Vocavitque Abraham nomen filii sui, quem genuit ei Sara, Isaac :

- Abraham donna le nom d'Isaac au fils qui lui était né, que Sara lui avait enfanté. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Αβρααμ τὸ ὄνομα του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ του̃ γενομένου αὐτω̨̃ ὃν ἔτεκεν αὐτω̨̃ Σαρρα Ισαακ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃21 ויקרא אברהם את שם בנו הנולד לו אשר ילדה לו שרה יצחק ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 4

et circumcidit eum octavo die, sicut præceperat ei Deus,

- Abraham circoncit son fils Isaac, âgé de huit jours, comme Dieu le lui avait ordonné. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him. (Ⅲ)

- περιέτεμεν δὲ Αβρααμ τὸν Ισαακ τη̨̃ ὀγδόη̨ ἡμέρα̨ καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτω̨̃ ὁ θεός (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃21 וימל אברהם את יצחק בנו בן שמנת ימים כאשר צוה אתו אלהים ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 5

cum centum esset annorum : hac quippe ætate patris, natus est Isaac.

- Abraham était âgé de cent ans, à la naissance d'Isaac, son fils. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. (Ⅲ)

- Αβρααμ δὲ ἠ̃ν ἑκατὸν ἐτω̃ν ἡνίκα ἐγένετο αὐτω̨̃ Ισαακ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃21 ואברהם בן מאת שנה בהולד לו את יצחק בנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 6

Dixitque Sara : Risum fecit mihi Deus : quicumque audierit, corridebit mihi.

- Et Sara dit: Dieu m'a fait un sujet de rire; quiconque l'apprendra rira de moi. (Ⅱ)

- And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. (Ⅲ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ Σαρρα γέλωτά μοι ἐποίησεν κύριος ὃς γὰρ ἂν ἀκούση̨ συγχαρει̃ταί μοι (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃21 ותאמר שרה צחק עשה לי אלהים כל השמע יצחק לי ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 7

Rursumque ait : Quis auditurus crederet Abraham quod Sara lactaret filium, quem peperit ei jam seni ?

- Elle ajouta: Qui aurait dit à Abraham: Sara allaitera des enfants? Cependant je lui ai enfanté un fils dans sa vieillesse. (Ⅱ)

- And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν τίς ἀναγγελει̃ τω̨̃ Αβρααμ ὅτι θηλάζει παιδίον Σαρρα ὅτι ἔτεκον υἱὸν ἐν τω̨̃ γήρει μου (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃21 ותאמר מי מלל לאברהם היניקה בנים שרה כי ילדתי בן לזקניו ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 8

Crevit igitur puer, et ablactatus est : fecitque Abraham grande convivium in die ablactationis ejus.\

- L'enfant grandit, et fut sevré; et Abraham fit un grand festin le jour où Isaac fut sevré. (Ⅱ)

- And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ηὐξήθη τὸ παιδίον καὶ ἀπεγαλακτίσθη καὶ ἐποίησεν Αβρααμ δοχὴν μεγάλην ἡ̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἀπεγαλακτίσθη Ισαακ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃21 ויגדל הילד ויגמל ויעש אברהם משתה גדול ביום הגמל את יצחק ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 9

Cumque vidisset Sara filium Agar Ægyptiæ ludentem cum Isaac filio suo, dixit ad Abraham :

- Sara vit rire le fils qu'Agar, l'Égyptienne, avait enfanté à Abraham; (Ⅱ)

- And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. (Ⅲ)

- ἰδου̃σα δὲ Σαρρα τὸν υἱὸν Αγαρ τη̃ς Αἰγυπτίας ὃς ἐγένετο τω̨̃ Αβρααμ παίζοντα μετὰ Ισαακ του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτη̃ς (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃21 ותרא שרה את בן הגר המצרית אשר ילדה לאברהם מצחק ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 10

Ejice ancillam hanc, et filium ejus : non enim erit hæres filius ancillæ cum filio meo Isaac.

- et elle dit à Abraham: Chasse cette servante et son fils, car le fils de cette servante n'héritera pas avec mon fils, avec Isaac. (Ⅱ)

- Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν τω̨̃ Αβρααμ ἔκβαλε τὴν παιδίσκην ταύτην καὶ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτη̃ς οὐ γὰρ κληρονομήσει ὁ υἱὸς τη̃ς παιδίσκης ταύτης μετὰ του̃ υἱου̃ μου Ισαακ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃21 ותאמר לאברהם גרש האמה הזאת ואת בנה כי לא יירש בן האמה הזאת עם בני עם יצחק ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 11

Dure accepit hoc Abraham pro filio suo.

- Cette parole déplut fort aux yeux d'Abraham, à cause de son fils. (Ⅱ)

- And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son. (Ⅲ)

- σκληρὸν δὲ ἐφάνη τὸ ῥη̃μα σφόδρα ἐναντίον Αβρααμ περὶ του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃21 וירע הדבר מאד בעיני אברהם על אודת בנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 12

Cui dixit Deus : Non tibi videatur asperum super puero, et super ancilla tua : omnia quæ dixerit tibi Sara, audi vocem ejus : quia in Isaac vocabitur tibi semen.

- Mais Dieu dit à Abraham: Que cela ne déplaise pas à tes yeux, à cause de l'enfant et de ta servante. Accorde à Sara tout ce qu'elle te demandera; car c'est d'Isaac que sortira une postérité qui te sera propre. (Ⅱ)

- And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called. (Ⅲ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς τω̨̃ Αβρααμ μὴ σκληρὸν ἔστω τὸ ῥη̃μα ἐναντίον σου περὶ του̃ παιδίου καὶ περὶ τη̃ς παιδίσκης πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν εἴπη̨ σοι Σαρρα ἄκουε τη̃ς φωνη̃ς αὐτη̃ς ὅτι ἐν Ισαακ κληθήσεταί σοι σπέρμα (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃21 ויאמר אלהים אל אברהם אל ירע בעיניך על הנער ועל אמתך כל אשר תאמר אליך שרה שמע בקלה כי ביצחק יקרא לך זרע ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 13

Sed et filium ancillæ faciam in gentem magnam, quia semen tuum est.

- Je ferai aussi une nation du fils de ta servante; car il est ta postérité. (Ⅱ)

- And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ τὸν υἱὸν δὲ τη̃ς παιδίσκης ταύτης εἰς ἔθνος μέγα ποιήσω αὐτόν ὅτι σπέρμα σόν ἐστιν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃21 וגם את בן האמה לגוי אשימנו כי זרעך הוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 14

Surrexit itaque Abraham mane, et tollens panem et utrem aquæ, imposuit scapulæ ejus, tradiditque puerum, et dimisit eam. Quæ cum abiisset, errabat in solitudine Bersabee.

- Abraham se leva de bon matin; il prit du pain et une outre d'eau, qu'il donna à Agar et plaça sur son épaule; il lui remit aussi l'enfant, et la renvoya. Elle s'en alla, et s'égara dans le désert de Beer Schéba. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. (Ⅲ)

- ἀνέστη δὲ Αβρααμ τὸ πρωὶ καὶ ἔλαβεν ἄρτους καὶ ἀσκὸν ὕδατος καὶ ἔδωκεν Αγαρ καὶ ἐπέθηκεν ἐπὶ τὸν ὠ̃μον καὶ τὸ παιδίον καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτήν ἀπελθου̃σα δὲ ἐπλανα̃το τὴν ἔρημον κατὰ τὸ φρέαρ του̃ ὅρκου (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃21 וישכם אברהם בבקר ויקח לחם וחמת מים ויתן אל הגר שם על שכמה ואת הילד וישלחה ותלך ותתע במדבר באר שבע ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 15

Cumque consumpta esset aqua in utre, abjecit puerum subter unam arborum, quæ ibi erant.

- Quand l'eau de l'outre fut épuisée, elle laissa l'enfant sous un des arbrisseaux, (Ⅱ)

- And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. (Ⅲ)

- ἐξέλιπεν δὲ τὸ ὕδωρ ἐκ του̃ ἀσκου̃ καὶ ἔρριψεν τὸ παιδίον ὑποκάτω μια̃ς ἐλάτης (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃21 ויכלו המים מן החמת ותשלך את הילד תחת אחד השיחם ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 16

Et abiit, seditque e regione procul quantum potest arcus jacere : dixit enim : Non videbo morientem puerum : et sedens contra, levavit vocem suam et flevit.

- et alla s'asseoir vis-à-vis, à une portée d'arc; car elle disait: Que je ne voie pas mourir mon enfant! Elle s'assit donc vis-à-vis de lui, éleva la voix et pleura. (Ⅱ)

- And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. (Ⅲ)

- ἀπελθου̃σα δὲ ἐκάθητο ἀπέναντι αὐτου̃ μακρόθεν ὡσεὶ τόξου βολήν εἰ̃πεν γάρ οὐ μὴ ἴδω τὸν θάνατον του̃ παιδίου μου καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἀπέναντι αὐτου̃ ἀναβοη̃σαν δὲ τὸ παιδίον ἔκλαυσεν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃21 ותלך ותשב לה מנגד הרחק כמטחוי קשת כי אמרה אל אראה במות הילד ותשב מנגד ותשא את קלה ותבך ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 17

Exaudivit autem Deus vocem pueri : vocavitque angelus Dei Agar de cælo, dicens : Quid agis Agar ? noli timere : exaudivit enim Deus vocem pueri de loco in quo est.

- Dieu entendit la voix de l'enfant; et l'ange de Dieu appela du ciel Agar, et lui dit: Qu'as-tu, Agar? Ne crains point, car Dieu a entendu la voix de l'enfant dans le lieu où il est. (Ⅱ)

- And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. (Ⅲ)

- εἰσήκουσεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς τη̃ς φωνη̃ς του̃ παιδίου ἐκ του̃ τόπου οὑ̃ ἠ̃ν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ἄγγελος του̃ θεου̃ τὴν Αγαρ ἐκ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ τί ἐστιν Αγαρ μὴ φοβου̃ ἐπακήκοεν γὰρ ὁ θεὸς τη̃ς φωνη̃ς του̃ παιδίου σου ἐκ του̃ τόπου οὑ̃ ἐστιν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃21 וישמע אלהים את קול הנער ויקרא מלאך אלהים אל הגר מן השמים ויאמר לה מה לך הגר אל תיראי כי שמע אלהים אל קול הנער באשר הוא שם ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 18

Surge, tolle puerum, et tene manum illius : quia in gentem magnam faciam eum.

- Lève-toi, prends l'enfant, saisis-le de ta main; car je ferai de lui une grande nation. (Ⅱ)

- Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. (Ⅲ)

- ἀνάστηθι λαβὲ τὸ παιδίον καὶ κράτησον τη̨̃ χειρί σου αὐτό εἰς γὰρ ἔθνος μέγα ποιήσω αὐτόν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃21 קומי שאי את הנער והחזיקי את ידך בו כי לגוי גדול אשימנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 19

Aperuitque oculos ejus Deus : quæ videns puteum aquæ, abiit, et implevit utrem, deditque puero bibere.

- Et Dieu lui ouvrit les yeux, et elle vit un puits d'eau; elle alla remplir d'eau l'outre, et donna à boire à l'enfant. (Ⅱ)

- And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἀνέω̨ξεν ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτη̃ς καὶ εἰ̃δεν φρέαρ ὕδατος ζω̃ντος καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ ἔπλησεν τὸν ἀσκὸν ὕδατος καὶ ἐπότισεν τὸ παιδίον (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃21 ויפקח אלהים את עיניה ותרא באר מים ותלך ותמלא את החמת מים ותשק את הנער ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 20

Et fuit cum eo : qui crevit, et moratus est in solitudine, factusque est juvenis sagittarius.

- Dieu fut avec l'enfant, qui grandit, habita dans le désert, et devint tireur d'arc. (Ⅱ)

- And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ν ὁ θεὸς μετὰ του̃ παιδίου καὶ ηὐξήθη καὶ κατώ̨κησεν ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ἐγένετο δὲ τοξότης (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃21 ויהי אלהים את הנער ויגדל וישב במדבר ויהי רבה קשת ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 21

Habitavitque in deserto Pharan, et accepit illi mater sua uxorem de terra Ægypti.\

- Il habita dans le désert de Paran, et sa mère lui prit une femme du pays d'Égypte. (Ⅱ)

- And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ κατώ̨κησεν ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ τη̨̃ Φαραν καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτω̨̃ ἡ μήτηρ γυναι̃κα ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃21 וישב במדבר פארן ותקח לו אמו אשה מארץ מצרים פ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 22

Eodem tempore dixit Abimelech, et Phicol princeps exercitus ejus, ad Abraham : Deus tecum est in universis quæ agis.

- En ce temps-là, Abimélec, accompagné de Picol, chef de son armée, parla ainsi à Abraham: Dieu est avec toi dans tout ce que tu fais. (Ⅱ)

- And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest: (Ⅲ)

- ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αβιμελεχ καὶ Οχοζαθ ὁ νυμφαγωγὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ Φικολ ὁ ἀρχιστράτηγος τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτου̃ πρὸς Αβρααμ λέγων ὁ θεὸς μετὰ σου̃ ἐν πα̃σιν οἱ̃ς ἐὰν ποιη̨̃ς (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃21 ויהי בעת ההוא ויאמר אבימלך ופיכל שר צבאו אל אברהם לאמר אלהים עמך בכל אשר אתה עשה ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 23

Jura ergo per Deum, ne noceas mihi, et posteris meis, stirpique meæ : sed juxta misericordiam, quam feci tibi, facies mihi, et terræ in qua versatus es advena.

- Jure-moi maintenant ici, par le nom de Dieu, que tu ne tromperas ni moi, ni mes enfants, ni mes petits-enfants, et que tu auras pour moi et le pays où tu séjournes la même bienveillance que j'ai eue pour toi. (Ⅱ)

- Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned. (Ⅲ)

- νυ̃ν οὐ̃ν ὄμοσόν μοι τὸν θεὸν μὴ ἀδικήσειν με μηδὲ τὸ σπέρμα μου μηδὲ τὸ ὄνομά μου ἀλλὰ κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην ἣν ἐποίησα μετὰ σου̃ ποιήσεις μετ' ἐμου̃ καὶ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ἡ̨̃ σὺ παρώ̨κησας ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃21 ועתה השבעה לי באלהים הנה אם תשקר לי ולניני ולנכדי כחסד אשר עשיתי עמך תעשה עמדי ועם הארץ אשר גרתה בה ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 24

Dixitque Abraham : Ego jurabo.

- Abraham dit: Je le jurerai. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham said, I will swear. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αβρααμ ἐγὼ ὀμου̃μαι (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃21 ויאמר אברהם אנכי אשבע ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 25

Et increpavit Abimelech propter puteum aquæ quem vi abstulerunt servi ejus.

- Mais Abraham fit des reproches à Abimélec, au sujet d'un puits d'eau, dont s'étaient emparés de force les serviteurs d'Abimélec. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἤλεγξεν Αβρααμ τὸν Αβιμελεχ περὶ τω̃ν φρεάτων του̃ ὕδατος ὡ̃ν ἀφείλαντο οἱ παι̃δες του̃ Αβιμελεχ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃21 והוכח אברהם את אבימלך על אדות באר המים אשר גזלו עבדי אבימלך ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 26

Responditque Abimelech : Nescivi quis fecerit hanc rem : sed et tu non indicasti mihi, et ego non audivi præter hodie.

- Abimélec répondit: J'ignore qui a fait cette chose-là; tu ne m'en as point informé, et moi, je ne l'apprends qu'aujourd'hui. (Ⅱ)

- And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing; neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Αβιμελεχ οὐκ ἔγνων τίς ἐποίησεν τὸ πρα̃γμα του̃το οὐδὲ σύ μοι ἀπήγγειλας οὐδὲ ἐγὼ ἤκουσα ἀλλ' ἢ σήμερον (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃21 ויאמר אבימלך לא ידעתי מי עשה את הדבר הזה וגם אתה לא הגדת לי וגם אנכי לא שמעתי בלתי היום ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 27

Tulit itaque Abraham oves et boves, et dedit Abimelech : percusseruntque ambo fœdus.

- Et Abraham prit des brebis et des boeufs, qu'il donna à Abimélec; et ils firent tous deux alliance. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν Αβρααμ πρόβατα καὶ μόσχους καὶ ἔδωκεν τω̨̃ Αβιμελεχ καὶ διέθεντο ἀμφότεροι διαθήκην (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃21 ויקח אברהם צאן ובקר ויתן לאבימלך ויכרתו שניהם ברית ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 28

Et statuit Abraham septem agnas gregis seorsum.

- Abraham mit à part sept jeunes brebis. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἔστησεν Αβρααμ ἑπτὰ ἀμνάδας προβάτων μόνας (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃21 ויצב אברהם את שבע כבשת הצאן לבדהן ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 29

Cui dixit Abimelech : Quid sibi volunt septem agnæ istæ, quas stare fecisti seorsum ?

- Et Abimélec dit à Abraham: Qu'est-ce que ces sept jeunes brebis, que tu as mises à part? (Ⅱ)

- And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves? (Ⅲ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αβιμελεχ τω̨̃ Αβρααμ τί εἰσιν αἱ ἑπτὰ ἀμνάδες τω̃ν προβάτων τούτων ἃς ἔστησας μόνας (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃21 ויאמר אבימלך אל אברהם מה הנה שבע כבשת האלה אשר הצבת לבדנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 30

At ille : Septem, inquit, agnas accipies de manu mea : ut sint mihi in testimonium, quoniam ego fodi puteum istum.

- Il répondit: Tu accepteras de ma main ces sept brebis, afin que cela me serve de témoignage que j'ai creusé ce puits. (Ⅱ)

- And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αβρααμ ὅτι τὰς ἑπτὰ ἀμνάδας ταύτας λήμψη̨ παρ' ἐμου̃ ἵνα ὠ̃σίν μοι εἰς μαρτύριον ὅτι ἐγὼ ὤρυξα τὸ φρέαρ του̃το (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃21 ויאמר כי את שבע כבשת תקח מידי בעבור תהיה לי לעדה כי חפרתי את הבאר הזאת ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 31

Idcirco vocatus est locus ille Bersabee : quia ibi uterque juravit.

- C'est pourquoi on appelle ce lieu Beer Schéba; car c'est là qu'ils jurèrent l'un et l'autre. (Ⅱ)

- Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them. (Ⅲ)

- διὰ του̃το ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα του̃ τόπου ἐκείνου Φρέαρ ὁρκισμου̃ ὅτι ἐκει̃ ὤμοσαν ἀμφότεροι (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃21 על כן קרא למקום ההוא באר שבע כי שם נשבעו שניהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 32

Et inierunt fœdus pro puteo juramenti.

- Ils firent donc alliance à Beer Schéba. Après quoi, Abimélec se leva, avec Picol, chef de son armée; et ils retournèrent au pays des Philistins. (Ⅱ)

- Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ διέθεντο διαθήκην ἐν τω̨̃ φρέατι του̃ ὅρκου ἀνέστη δὲ Αβιμελεχ καὶ Οχοζαθ ὁ νυμφαγωγὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ Φικολ ὁ ἀρχιστράτηγος τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν εἰς τὴν γη̃ν τω̃ν Φυλιστιιμ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃21 ויכרתו ברית בבאר שבע ויקם אבימלך ופיכל שר צבאו וישבו אל ארץ פלשתים ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 33

Surrexit autem Abimelech, et Phicol princeps exercitus ejus, reversique sunt in terram Palæstinorum. Abraham vero plantavit nemus in Bersabee, et invocavit ibi nomen Domini Dei æterni.

- Abraham planta des tamariscs à Beer Schéba; et là il invoqua le nom de l'Éternel, Dieu de l'éternité. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐφύτευσεν Αβρααμ ἄρουραν ἐπὶ τω̨̃ φρέατι του̃ ὅρκου καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο ἐκει̃ τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου θεὸς αἰώνιος (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 33 ׃21 ויטע אשל בבאר שבע ויקרא שם בשם יהוה אל עולם ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 34

Et fuit colonus terræ Palæstinorum diebus multis.

- Abraham séjourna longtemps dans le pays des Philistins. (Ⅱ)

- And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days. (Ⅲ)

- παρώ̨κησεν δὲ Αβρααμ ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ τω̃ν Φυλιστιιμ ἡμέρας πολλάς (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 34 ׃21 ויגר אברהם בארץ פלשתים ימים רבים פ‬ (Ⅴ)
