Profectus ergo Jacob venit in terram orientalem.
- acob se mit en marche, et s'en alla au pays des fils de l'Orient. (Ⅱ) - Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξάρας Ιακωβ τοὺς πόδας ἐπορεύθη εἰς γη̃ν ἀνατολω̃ν πρὸς Λαβαν τὸν υἱὸν Βαθουηλ του̃ Σύρου ἀδελφὸν δὲ Ρεβεκκας μητρὸς Ιακωβ καὶ Ησαυ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃29 וישא יעקב רגליו וילך ארצה בני קדם (Ⅴ)

Et vidit puteum in agro, tres quoque greges ovium accubantes juxta eum : nam ex illo adaquabantur pecora, et os ejus grandi lapide claudebatur.
- l regarda. Et voici, il y avait un puits dans les champs; et voici, il y avait à côté trois troupeaux de brebis qui se reposaient, car c'était à ce puits qu'on abreuvait les troupeaux. Et la pierre sur l'ouverture du puits était grande. (Ⅱ) - And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ὁρα̨̃ καὶ ἰδοὺ φρέαρ ἐν τω̨̃ πεδίω̨ ἠ̃σαν δὲ ἐκει̃ τρία ποίμνια προβάτων ἀναπαυόμενα ἐπ' αὐτου̃ ἐκ γὰρ του̃ φρέατος ἐκείνου ἐπότιζον τὰ ποίμνια λίθος δὲ ἠ̃ν μέγας ἐπὶ τω̨̃ στόματι του̃ φρέατος (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃29 וירא והנה באר בשדה והנה שם שלשה עדרי צאן רבצים עליה כי מן הבאר ההוא ישקו העדרים והאבן גדלה על פי הבאר (Ⅴ)

Morisque erat ut cunctis ovibus congregatis devolverent lapidem, et refectis gregibus rursum super os putei ponerent.
- ous les troupeaux se rassemblaient là; on roulait la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, on abreuvait les troupeaux, et l'on remettait la pierre à sa place sur l'ouverture du puits. (Ⅱ) - And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in his place. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συνήγοντο ἐκει̃ πάντα τὰ ποίμνια καὶ ἀπεκύλιον τὸν λίθον ἀπὸ του̃ στόματος του̃ φρέατος καὶ ἐπότιζον τὰ πρόβατα καὶ ἀπεκαθίστων τὸν λίθον ἐπὶ τὸ στόμα του̃ φρέατος εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃29 ונאספו שמה כל העדרים וגללו את האבן מעל פי הבאר והשקו את הצאן והשיבו את האבן על פי הבאר למקמה (Ⅴ)

Dixitque ad pastores : Fratres, unde estis ? Qui responderunt : De Haran.
- acob dit aux bergers: Mes frères, d'où êtes-vous? Ils répondirent: Nous sommes de Charan. (Ⅱ) - And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we. (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ αὐτοι̃ς Ιακωβ ἀδελφοί πόθεν ἐστὲ ὑμει̃ς οἱ δὲ εἰ̃παν ἐκ Χαρραν ἐσμέν (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃29 ויאמר להם יעקב אחי מאין אתם ויאמרו מחרן אנחנו (Ⅴ)

Quos interrogans, Numquid, ait, nostis Laban filium Nachor ? Dixerunt : Novimus.
- l leur dit: Connaissez-vous Laban, fils de Nachor? Ils répondirent: Nous le connaissons. (Ⅱ) - And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him. (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ αὐτοι̃ς γινώσκετε Λαβαν τὸν υἱὸν Ναχωρ οἱ δὲ εἰ̃παν γινώσκομεν (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃29 ויאמר להם הידעתם את לבן בן נחור ויאמרו ידענו (Ⅴ)

Sanusne est ? inquit. Valet, inquiunt : et ecce Rachel filia ejus venit cum grege suo.
- l leur dit: Est-il en bonne santé? Ils répondirent: Il est en bonne santé; et voici Rachel, sa fille, qui vient avec le troupeau. (Ⅱ) - And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep. (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ αὐτοι̃ς ὑγιαίνει οἱ δὲ εἰ̃παν ὑγιαίνει καὶ ἰδοὺ Ραχηλ ἡ θυγάτηρ αὐτου̃ ἤρχετο μετὰ τω̃ν προβάτων (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃29 ויאמר להם השלום לו ויאמרו שלום והנה רחל בתו באה עם הצאן (Ⅴ)

Dixitque Jacob : Adhuc multum diei superest, nec est tempus ut reducantur ad caulas greges : date ante potum ovibus, et sic eas ad pastum reducite.
- l dit: Voici, il est encore grand jour, et il n'est pas temps de rassembler les troupeaux; abreuvez les brebis, puis allez, et faites-les paître. (Ⅱ) - And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ιακωβ ἔτι ἐστὶν ἡμέρα πολλή οὔπω ὥρα συναχθη̃ναι τὰ κτήνη ποτίσαντες τὰ πρόβατα ἀπελθόντες βόσκετε (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃29 ויאמר הן עוד היום גדול לא עת האסף המקנה השקו הצאן ולכו רעו (Ⅴ)

Qui responderunt : Non possumus, donec omnia pecora congregentur, et amoveamus lapidem de ore putei, ut adaquemus greges.
- ls répondirent: Nous ne le pouvons pas, jusqu'à ce que tous les troupeaux soient rassemblés; c'est alors qu'on roule la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, et qu'on abreuve les brebis. (Ⅱ) - And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well's mouth; then we water the sheep. (Ⅲ) - οἱ δὲ εἰ̃παν οὐ δυνησόμεθα ἕως του̃ συναχθη̃ναι πάντας τοὺς ποιμένας καὶ ἀποκυλίσωσιν τὸν λίθον ἀπὸ του̃ στόματος του̃ φρέατος καὶ ποτιου̃μεν τὰ πρόβατα (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃29 ויאמרו לא נוכל עד אשר יאספו כל העדרים וגללו את האבן מעל פי הבאר והשקינו הצאן (Ⅴ)

Adhuc loquebantur, et ecce Rachel veniebat cum ovibus patris sui : nam gregem ipsa pascebat.
- omme il leur parlait encore, survint Rachel avec le troupeau de son père; car elle était bergère. (Ⅱ) - And while he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep; for she kept them. (Ⅲ) - ἔτι αὐτου̃ λαλου̃ντος αὐτοι̃ς καὶ Ραχηλ ἡ θυγάτηρ Λαβαν ἤρχετο μετὰ τω̃ν προβάτων του̃ πατρὸς αὐτη̃ς αὐτὴ γὰρ ἔβοσκεν τὰ πρόβατα του̃ πατρὸς αὐτη̃ς (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃29 עודנו מדבר עמם ורחל באה עם הצאן אשר לאביה כי רעה הוא (Ⅴ)

Quam cum vidisset Jacob, et sciret consobrinam suam, ovesque Laban avunculi sui, amovit lapidem quo puteus claudebatur.
- orsque Jacob vit Rachel, fille de Laban, frère de sa mère, et le troupeau de Laban, frère de sa mère, il s'approcha, roula la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, et abreuva le troupeau de Laban, frère de sa mère. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother. (Ⅲ) - ἐγένετο δὲ ὡς εἰ̃δεν Ιακωβ τὴν Ραχηλ θυγατέρα Λαβαν ἀδελφου̃ τη̃ς μητρὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ τὰ πρόβατα Λαβαν ἀδελφου̃ τη̃ς μητρὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ προσελθὼν Ιακωβ ἀπεκύλισεν τὸν λίθον ἀπὸ του̃ στόματος του̃ φρέατος καὶ ἐπότισεν τὰ πρόβατα Λαβαν του̃ ἀδελφου̃ τη̃ς μητρὸς αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃29 ויהי כאשר ראה יעקב את רחל בת לבן אחי אמו ואת צאן לבן אחי אמו ויגש יעקב ויגל את האבן מעל פי הבאר וישק את צאן לבן אחי אמו (Ⅴ)

Et adaquato grege, osculatus est eam : et elevata voce flevit,
- t Jacob baisa Rachel, il éleva la voix et pleura. (Ⅱ) - And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐφίλησεν Ιακωβ τὴν Ραχηλ καὶ βοήσας τη̨̃ φωνη̨̃ αὐτου̃ ἔκλαυσεν (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃29 וישק יעקב לרחל וישא את קלו ויבך (Ⅴ)

et indicavit ei quod frater esset patris sui, et filius Rebeccæ : at illa festinans nuntiavit patri suo.
- acob apprit à Rachel qu'il était parent de son père, qu'il était fils de Rebecca. Et elle courut l'annoncer à son père. (Ⅱ) - And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told her father. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν τη̨̃ Ραχηλ ὅτι ἀδελφὸς του̃ πατρὸς αὐτη̃ς ἐστιν καὶ ὅτι υἱὸς Ρεβεκκας ἐστίν καὶ δραμου̃σα ἀπήγγειλεν τω̨̃ πατρὶ αὐτη̃ς κατὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταυ̃τα (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃29 ויגד יעקב לרחל כי אחי אביה הוא וכי בן רבקה הוא ותרץ ותגד לאביה (Ⅴ)

Qui cum audisset venisse Jacob filium sororis suæ, cucurrit obviam ei : complexusque eum, et in oscula ruens, duxit in domum suam. Auditis autem causis itineris,
- ès que Laban eut entendu parler de Jacob, fils de sa soeur, il courut au-devant de lui, il l'embrassa et le baisa, et il le fit venir dans sa maison. Jacob raconta à Laban toutes ces choses. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things. (Ⅲ) - ἐγένετο δὲ ὡς ἤκουσεν Λαβαν τὸ ὄνομα Ιακωβ του̃ υἱου̃ τη̃ς ἀδελφη̃ς αὐτου̃ ἔδραμεν εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ περιλαβὼν αὐτὸν ἐφίλησεν καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον αὐτου̃ καὶ διηγήσατο τω̨̃ Λαβαν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃29 ויהי כשמע לבן את שמע יעקב בן אחתו וירץ לקראתו ויחבק לו וינשק לו ויביאהו אל ביתו ויספר ללבן את כל הדברים האלה (Ⅴ)

respondit : Os meum es, et caro mea. Et postquam impleti sunt dies mensis unius,
- t Laban lui dit: Certainement, tu es mon os et ma chair. Jacob demeura un mois chez Laban. (Ⅱ) - And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Λαβαν ἐκ τω̃ν ὀστω̃ν μου καὶ ἐκ τη̃ς σαρκός μου εἰ̃ σύ καὶ ἠ̃ν μετ' αὐτου̃ μη̃να ἡμερω̃ν (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃29 ויאמר לו לבן אך עצמי ובשרי אתה וישב עמו חדש ימים (Ⅴ)

dixit ei : Num quia frater meus es, gratis servies mihi ? dic quid mercedis accipias.\
- uis Laban dit à Jacob: Parce que tu es mon parent, me serviras-tu pour rien? Dis-moi quel sera ton salaire. (Ⅱ) - And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be? (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ Λαβαν τω̨̃ Ιακωβ ὅτι γὰρ ἀδελφός μου εἰ̃ οὐ δουλεύσεις μοι δωρεάν ἀπάγγειλόν μοι τίς ὁ μισθός σού ἐστιν (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃29 ויאמר לבן ליעקב הכי אחי אתה ועבדתני חנם הגידה לי מה משכרתך (Ⅴ)

Habebat vero duas filias : nomen majoris Lia, minor vero appellabatur Rachel.
- r, Laban avait deux filles: l'aînée s'appelait Léa, et la cadette Rachel. (Ⅱ) - And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. (Ⅲ) - τω̨̃ δὲ Λαβαν δύο θυγατέρες ὄνομα τη̨̃ μείζονι Λεια καὶ ὄνομα τη̨̃ νεωτέρα̨ Ραχηλ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃29 וללבן שתי בנות שם הגדלה לאה ושם הקטנה רחל (Ⅴ)

Sed Lia lippis erat oculis : Rachel decora facie, et venusto aspectu.
- éa avait les yeux délicats; mais Rachel était belle de taille et belle de figure. (Ⅱ) - Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favored. (Ⅲ) - οἱ δὲ ὀφθαλμοὶ Λειας ἀσθενει̃ς Ραχηλ δὲ καλὴ τω̨̃ εἴδει καὶ ὡραία τη̨̃ ὄψει (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃29 ועיני לאה רכות ורחל היתה יפת תאר ויפת מראה (Ⅴ)

Quam diligens Jacob, ait : Serviam tibi pro Rachel filia tua minore, septem annis.
- acob aimait Rachel, et il dit: Je te servirai sept ans pour Rachel, ta fille cadette. (Ⅱ) - And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter. (Ⅲ) - ἠγάπησεν δὲ Ιακωβ τὴν Ραχηλ καὶ εἰ̃πεν δουλεύσω σοι ἑπτὰ ἔτη περὶ Ραχηλ τη̃ς θυγατρός σου τη̃ς νεωτέρας (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃29 ויאהב יעקב את רחל ויאמר אעבדך שבע שנים ברחל בתך הקטנה (Ⅴ)

Respondit Laban : Melius est ut tibi eam dem quam alteri viro : mane apud me.
- t Laban dit: J'aime mieux te la donner que de la donner à un autre homme. Reste chez moi! (Ⅱ) - And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me. (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ αὐτω̨̃ Λαβαν βέλτιον δου̃ναί με αὐτὴν σοὶ ἢ δου̃ναί με αὐτὴν ἀνδρὶ ἑτέρω̨ οἴκησον μετ' ἐμου̃ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃29 ויאמר לבן טוב[c] תתי אתה לך מתתי אתה לאיש אחר שבה עמדי (Ⅴ)

Servivit ergo Jacob pro Rachel septem annis : et videbantur illi pauci dies præ amoris magnitudine.
- insi Jacob servit sept années pour Rachel: et elles furent à ses yeux comme quelques jours, parce qu'il l'aimait. (Ⅱ) - And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐδούλευσεν Ιακωβ περὶ Ραχηλ ἔτη ἑπτά καὶ ἠ̃σαν ἐναντίον αὐτου̃ ὡς ἡμέραι ὀλίγαι παρὰ τὸ ἀγαπα̃ν αὐτὸν αὐτήν (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃29 ויעבד יעקב ברחל שבע שנים ויהיו בעיניו כימים אחדים באהבתו אתה (Ⅴ)

Dixitque ad Laban : Da mihi uxorem meam : quia jam tempus impletum est, ut ingrediar ad illam.
- nsuite Jacob dit à Laban: Donne-moi ma femme, car mon temps est accompli: et j'irai vers elle. (Ⅱ) - And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her. (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ Ιακωβ πρὸς Λαβαν ἀπόδος τὴν γυναι̃κά μου πεπλήρωνται γὰρ αἱ ἡμέραι μου ὅπως εἰσέλθω πρὸς αὐτήν (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃29 ויאמר יעקב אל לבן הבה את אשתי כי מלאו ימי ואבואה אליה (Ⅴ)

Qui vocatis multis amicorum turbis ad convivium, fecit nuptias.
- aban réunit tous les gens du lieu, et fit un festin. (Ⅱ) - And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast. (Ⅲ) - συνήγαγεν δὲ Λαβαν πάντας τοὺς ἄνδρας του̃ τόπου καὶ ἐποίησεν γάμον (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃29 ויאסף לבן את כל אנשי המקום ויעש משתה (Ⅴ)

Et vespere Liam filiam suam introduxit ad eum,
- e soir, il prit Léa, sa fille, et l'amena vers Jacob, qui s'approcha d'elle. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἑσπέρα καὶ λαβὼν Λαβαν Λειαν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτου̃ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς Ιακωβ καὶ εἰση̃λθεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Ιακωβ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃29 ויהי בערב ויקח את לאה בתו ויבא אתה אליו ויבא אליה (Ⅴ)

dans ancillam filiæ, Zelpham nomine. Ad quam cum ex more Jacob fuisset ingressus, facto mane vidit Liam :
- t Laban donna pour servante à Léa, sa fille, Zilpa, sa servante. (Ⅱ) - And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid. (Ⅲ) - ἔδωκεν δὲ Λαβαν Λεια τη̨̃ θυγατρὶ αὐτου̃ Ζελφαν τὴν παιδίσκην αὐτου̃ αὐτη̨̃ παιδίσκην (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃29 ויתן לבן לה את זלפה שפחתו ללאה בתו שפחה (Ⅴ)

et dixit ad socerum suum : Quid est quod facere voluisti ? nonne pro Rachel servivi tibi ? quare imposuisti mihi ?
- e lendemain matin, voilà que c'était Léa. Alors Jacob dit à Laban: Qu'est-ce que tu m'as fait? N'est-ce pas pour Rachel que j'ai servi chez toi? Pourquoi m'as-tu trompé? (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me? (Ⅲ) - ἐγένετο δὲ πρωί καὶ ἰδοὺ ἠ̃ν Λεια εἰ̃πεν δὲ Ιακωβ τω̨̃ Λαβαν τί του̃το ἐποίησάς μοι οὐ περὶ Ραχηλ ἐδούλευσα παρὰ σοί καὶ ἵνα τί παρελογίσω με (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃29 ויהי בבקר והנה הוא לאה ויאמר אל לבן מה זאת עשית לי הלא ברחל עבדתי עמך ולמה רמיתני (Ⅴ)

Respondit Laban : Non est in loco nostro consuetudinis, ut minores ante tradamus ad nuptias.
- aban dit: Ce n'est point la coutume dans ce lieu de donner la cadette avant l'aînée. (Ⅱ) - And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn. (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ Λαβαν οὐκ ἔστιν οὕτως ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ ἡμω̃ν δου̃ναι τὴν νεωτέραν πρὶν ἢ τὴν πρεσβυτέραν (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃29 ויאמר לבן לא יעשה כן במקומנו לתת הצעירה לפני הבכירה (Ⅴ)

Imple hebdomadam dierum hujus copulæ : et hanc quoque dabo tibi pro opere quo serviturus es mihi septem annis aliis.
- chève la semaine avec celle-ci, et nous te donnerons aussi l'autre pour le service que tu feras encore chez moi pendant sept nouvelles années. (Ⅱ) - Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. (Ⅲ) - συντέλεσον οὐ̃ν τὰ ἕβδομα ταύτης καὶ δώσω σοι καὶ ταύτην ἀντὶ τη̃ς ἐργασίας ἡ̃ς ἐργα̨̃ παρ' ἐμοὶ ἔτι ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἕτερα (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃29 מלא שבע זאת ונתנה לך גם את זאת בעבדה אשר תעבד עמדי עוד שבע שנים אחרות (Ⅴ)

Acquievit placito : et hebdomada transacta, Rachel duxit uxorem :
- acob fit ainsi, et il acheva la semaine avec Léa; puis Laban lui donna pour femme Rachel, sa fille. (Ⅱ) - And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also. Tandemque potitus optatis nuptiis, amorem sequentis priori prætulit, serviens apud eum septem annis aliis.\
- acob alla aussi vers Rachel, qu'il aimait plus que Léa; et il servit encore chez Laban pendant sept nouvelles années. (Ⅱ) - And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years. Videns autem Dominus quod despiceret Liam, aperuit vulvam ejus, sorore sterili permanente.
- L'Éternel vit que Léa n'était pas aimée; et il la rendit féconde, tandis que Rachel était stérile. (Ⅱ) - And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren. (Ⅲ) - ἰδὼν δὲ κύριος ὅτι μισει̃ται Λεια ἤνοιξεν τὴν μήτραν αὐτη̃ς Ραχηλ δὲ ἠ̃ν στει̃ρα (Ⅳ) - 31 ׃29 וירא יהוה כי שנואה לאה ויפתח את רחמה ורחל עקרה (Ⅴ)

Quæ conceptum genuit filium, vocavitque nomen ejus Ruben, dicens : Vidit Dominus humilitatem meam : nunc amabit me vir meus.
- Léa devint enceinte, et enfanta un fils, à qui elle donna le nom de Ruben; car elle dit: L'Éternel a vu mon humiliation, et maintenant mon mari m'aimera. (Ⅱ) - And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συνέλαβεν Λεια καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱὸν τω̨̃ Ιακωβ ἐκάλεσεν δὲ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Ρουβην λέγουσα διότι εἰ̃δέν μου κύριος τὴν ταπείνωσιν νυ̃ν με ἀγαπήσει ὁ ἀνήρ μου (Ⅳ) - 32 ׃29 ותהר לאה ותלד בן ותקרא שמו ראובן כי אמרה כי ראה יהוה בעניי כי עתה יאהבני אישי (Ⅴ)

Rursumque concepit et peperit filium, et ait : Quoniam audivit me Dominus haberi contemptui, dedit etiam istum mihi ; vocavitque nomen ejus Simeon.
- Elle devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un fils, et elle dit: L'Éternel a entendu que je n'étais pas aimée, et il m'a aussi accordé celui-ci. Et elle lui donna le nom de Siméon. (Ⅱ) - And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συνέλαβεν πάλιν Λεια καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱὸν δεύτερον τω̨̃ Ιακωβ καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὅτι ἤκουσεν κύριος ὅτι μισου̃μαι καὶ προσέδωκέν μοι καὶ του̃τον ἐκάλεσεν δὲ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Συμεων (Ⅳ) - 33 ׃29 ותהר עוד ותלד בן ותאמר כי שמע יהוה כי שנואה אנכי ויתן לי גם את זה ותקרא שמו שמעון (Ⅴ)

Concepitque tertio, et genuit alium filium : dixitque : Nunc quoque copulabitur mihi maritus meus : eo quod pepererim ei tres filios : et idcirco appellavit nomen ejus Levi.
- Elle devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un fils, et elle dit: Pour cette fois, mon mari s'attachera à moi; car je lui ai enfanté trois fils. C'est pourquoi on lui donna le nom de Lévi. (Ⅱ) - And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συνέλαβεν ἔτι καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱὸν καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐν τω̨̃ νυ̃ν καιρω̨̃ πρὸς ἐμου̃ ἔσται ὁ ἀνήρ μου ἔτεκον γὰρ αὐτω̨̃ τρει̃ς υἱούς διὰ του̃το ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Λευι (Ⅳ) - 34 ׃29 ותהר עוד ותלד בן ותאמר עתה הפעם ילוה אישי אלי כי ילדתי לו שלשה בנים על כן קרא שמו לוי (Ⅴ)

Quarto concepit, et peperit filium, et ait : Modo confitebor Domino, et ob hoc vocavit eum Judam : cessavitque parere.
- Elle devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un fils, et elle dit: Cette fois, je louerai l'Éternel. C'est pourquoi elle lui donna le nom de Juda. Et elle cessa d'enfanter. (Ⅱ) - And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συλλαβου̃σα ἔτι ἔτεκεν υἱὸν καὶ εἰ̃πεν νυ̃ν ἔτι του̃το ἐξομολογήσομαι κυρίω̨ διὰ του̃το ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Ιουδα καὶ ἔστη του̃ τίκτειν (Ⅳ) - 35 ׃29 ותהר עוד ותלד בן ותאמר הפעם אודה את יהוה על כן קראה שמו יהודה ותעמד מלדת (Ⅴ)
