Vocavitque nomen primogeniti Manasses, dicens : Oblivisci me fecit Deus omnium laborum meorum, et domus patris mei.
- Joseph donna au premier-né le nom de Manassé, car, dit-il, Dieu m'a fait oublier toutes mes peines et toute la maison de mon père. (Ⅱ) - And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. (Ⅲ) - ἐκάλεσεν δὲ Ιωσηφ τὸ ὄνομα του̃ πρωτοτόκου Μανασση ὅτι ἐπιλαθέσθαι με ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς πάντων τω̃ν πόνων μου καὶ πάντων τω̃ν του̃ πατρός μου (Ⅳ) - 51 ׃41 ויקרא יוסף את שם הבכור מנשה כי נשני אלהים את כל עמלי ואת כל בית אבי (Ⅴ)

Nomen quoque secundi appellavit Ephraim, dicens : Crescere me fecit Deus in terra paupertatis meæ.
- Et il donna au second le nom d'Éphraïm, car, dit-il, Dieu m'a rendu fécond dans le pays de mon affliction. (Ⅱ) - And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. (Ⅲ) - τὸ δὲ ὄνομα του̃ δευτέρου ἐκάλεσεν Εφραιμ ὅτι ηὔξησέν με ὁ θεὸς ἐν γη̨̃ ταπεινώσεώς μου (Ⅳ) - 52 ׃41 ואת שם השני קרא אפרים כי הפרני אלהים בארץ עניי (Ⅴ)

Igitur transactis septem ubertatis annis, qui fuerant in Ægypto,
- Les sept années d'abondance qu'il y eut au pays d'Égypte s'écoulèrent. (Ⅱ) - And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended. (Ⅲ) - παρη̃λθον δὲ τὰ ἑπτὰ ἔτη τη̃ς εὐθηνίας ἃ ἐγένοντο ἐν γη̨̃ Αἰγύπτω̨ (Ⅳ) - 53 ׃41 ותכלינה שבע שני השבע אשר היה בארץ מצרים (Ⅴ)

cœperunt venire septem anni inopiæ, quos prædixerat Joseph : et in universo orbe fames prævaluit, in cuncta autem terra Ægypti panis erat.
- Et les sept années de famine commencèrent à venir, ainsi que Joseph l'avait annoncé. Il y eut famine dans tous les pays; mais dans tout le pays d'Égypte il y avait du pain. (Ⅱ) - And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἤρξαντο τὰ ἑπτὰ ἔτη του̃ λιμου̃ ἔρχεσθαι καθὰ εἰ̃πεν Ιωσηφ καὶ ἐγένετο λιμὸς ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ἐν δὲ πάση̨ γη̨̃ Αἰγύπτου ἠ̃σαν ἄρτοι (Ⅳ) - 54 ׃41 ותחלינה שבע שני הרעב לבוא כאשר אמר יוסף ויהי רעב בכל הארצות ובכל ארץ מצרים היה לחם (Ⅴ)

Qua esuriente, clamavit populus ad Pharaonem, alimenta petens. Quibus ille respondit : Ite ad Joseph : et quidquid ipse vobis dixerit, facite.
- Quand tout le pays d'Égypte fut aussi affamé, le peuple cria à Pharaon pour avoir du pain. Pharaon dit à tous les Égyptiens: Allez vers Joseph, et faites ce qu'il vous dira. (Ⅱ) - And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐπείνασεν πα̃σα ἡ γη̃ Αἰγύπτου ἐκέκραξεν δὲ ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Φαραω περὶ ἄρτων εἰ̃πεν δὲ Φαραω πα̃σι τοι̃ς Αἰγυπτίοις πορεύεσθε πρὸς Ιωσηφ καὶ ὃ ἐὰν εἴπη̨ ὑμι̃ν ποιήσατε (Ⅳ) - 55 ׃41 ותרעב כל ארץ מצרים ויצעק העם אל פרעה ללחם ויאמר פרעה לכל מצרים לכו אל יוסף אשר יאמר לכם תעשו (Ⅴ)

Crescebat autem quotidie fames in omni terra : aperuitque Joseph universa horrea, et vendebat Ægyptiis : nam et illos oppresserat fames.
- La famine régnait dans tout le pays. Joseph ouvrit tous les lieux d'approvisionnement, et vendit du blé aux Égyptiens. La famine augmentait dans le pays d'Égypte. (Ⅱ) - And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ὁ λιμὸς ἠ̃ν ἐπὶ προσώπου πάσης τη̃ς γη̃ς ἀνέω̨ξεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πάντας τοὺς σιτοβολω̃νας καὶ ἐπώλει πα̃σι τοι̃ς Αἰγυπτίοις (Ⅳ) - 56 ׃41 והרעב היה על כל פני הארץ ויפתח יוסף את כל אשר בהם וישבר למצרים ויחזק הרעב בארץ מצרים (Ⅴ)

Omnesque provinciæ veniebant in Ægyptum, ut emerent escas, et malum inopiæ temperarent.
- Et de tous les pays on arrivait en Égypte, pour acheter du blé auprès de Joseph; car la famine était forte dans tous les pays. (Ⅱ) - And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands. (Ⅲ) - καὶ πα̃σαι αἱ χω̃ραι ἠ̃λθον εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἀγοράζειν πρὸς Ιωσηφ ἐπεκράτησεν γὰρ ὁ λιμὸς ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ (Ⅳ) - 57 ׃41 וכל הארץ באו מצרימה לשבר אל יוסף כי חזק הרעב בכל הארץ (Ⅴ)
