Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
- Voici ceux qui se rendirent auprès de David à Tsiklag, lorsqu'il était encore éloigné de la présence de Saül, fils de Kis. Ils faisaient partie des vaillants hommes qui lui prêtèrent leur secours pendant la guerre. They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.
- C'étaient des archers, lançant des pierres de la main droite et de la main gauche, et tirant des flèches avec leur arc: ils étaient de Benjamin, du nombre des frères de Saül. The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite.

And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
- David sortit au-devant d'eux, et leur adressa la parole, en disant: Si vous venez à moi dans de bonnes intentions pour me secourir, mon coeur s'unira à vous; mais si c'est pour me tromper au profit de mes ennemis, quand je ne commets aucune violence, que le Dieu de nos pères le voie et qu'il fasse justice! Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
- Des hommes de Manassé se joignirent à David, lorsqu'il alla faire la guerre à Saül avec les Philistins. Mais ils ne furent pas en aide aux Philistins; car, après s'être consultés, les princes des Philistins renvoyèrent David, en disant: Il passerait du côté de son maître Saül, au péril de nos têtes. As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
- Quand il retourna à Tsiklag, voici ceux de Manassé qui se joignirent à lui: Adnach, Jozabad, Jediaël, Micaël, Jozabad, Élihu et Tsilthaï, chefs des milliers de Manassé. And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host.
- Ils prêtèrent leur secours à David contre la troupe [des pillards Amalécites], car ils étaient tous de vaillants hommes, et ils furent chefs dans l'armée. For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
- Et de jour en jour des gens arrivaient auprès de David pour le secourir, jusqu'à ce qu'il eût un grand camp, comme un camp de Dieu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ αὐτοὶ συνεμάχησαν τω̨̃ Δαυιδ ἐπὶ τὸν γεδδουρ ὅτι δυνατοὶ ἰσχύος πάντες καὶ ἠ̃σαν ἡγούμενοι ἐν τη̨̃ στρατια̨̃ ἐν τη̨̃ δυνάμει (Ⅲ) - Sed et per singulos dies veniebant ad David ad auxiliandum ei, usque dum fieret grandis numerus, quasi exercitus Dei.\ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃12 והמה עזרו עם דויד על הגדוד כי גבורי חיל כלם ויהיו שרים בצבא (Ⅴ)

And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
- Voici le nombre des hommes armés pour la guerre qui se rendirent auprès de David à Hébron, afin de lui transférer la royauté de Saül, selon l'ordre de l'Éternel. The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.

Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
- Des fils de Benjamin, frères de Saül, trois mille; car jusqu'alors la plus grande partie d'entre eux étaient restés fidèles à la maison de Saül. (Ⅱ) - καὶ Σαδωκ νέος δυνατὸς ἰσχύι καὶ τη̃ς πατρικη̃ς οἰκίας αὐτου̃ ἄρχοντες εἴκοσι δύο (Ⅲ) - De filiis autem Benjamin fratribus Saul, tria millia : magna enim pars eorum adhuc sequebatur domum Saul. And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
- Des fils d'Éphraïm, vingt mille huit cents, hommes vaillants, gens de renom, d'après les maisons de leurs pères. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Βενιαμιν τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν Σαουλ τρει̃ς χιλιάδες καὶ ἔτι τὸ πλει̃στον αὐτω̃ν ἀπεσκόπει τὴν φυλακὴν οἴκου Σαουλ (Ⅲ) - Porro de filiis Ephraim viginti millia octingenti, fortissimi robore, viri nominati in cognationibus suis. (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃12 ומן בני בנימן אחי שאול שלשת אלפים ועד הנה מרביתם שמרים משמרת בית שאול ס (Ⅴ)

And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
- De la demi-tribu de Manassé, dix-huit mille, qui furent nominativement désignés pour aller établir roi David. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ υἱω̃ν Εφραιμ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακόσιοι δυνατοὶ ἰσχύι ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοὶ κατ' οἴκους πατριω̃ν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et ex dimidia tribu Manasse, decem et octo millia, singuli per nomina sua, venerunt ut constituerent regem David. (Ⅳ) - 31 ׃12 ומן בני אפרים עשרים אלף ושמונה מאות גבורי חיל אנשי שמות לבית אבותם ס (Ⅴ)

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
- Des fils d'Issacar, ayant l'intelligence des temps pour savoir ce que devait faire Israël, deux cents chefs, et tous leurs frères sous leurs ordres. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ του̃ ἡμίσους φυλη̃ς Μανασση δέκα ὀκτὼ χιλιάδες οἳ ὠνομάσθησαν ἐν ὀνόματι του̃ βασιλευ̃σαι τὸν Δαυιδ (Ⅲ) - De filiis quoque Issachar viri eruditi, qui noverant singula tempora ad præcipiendum quid facere deberet Israël, principes ducenti : omnis autem reliqua tribus eorum consilium sequebatur. (Ⅳ) - 32 ׃12 ומחצי מטה מנשה שמונה עשר אלף אשר נקבו בשמות לבוא להמליך את דויד ס (Ⅴ)

Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.
- De Zabulon, cinquante mille, en état d'aller à l'armée, munis pour le combat de toutes les armes de guerre, et prêts à livrer bataille d'un coeur résolu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισσαχαρ γινώσκοντες σύνεσιν εἰς τοὺς καιρούς γινώσκοντες τί ποιήσαι Ισραηλ εἰς τὰς ἀρχὰς αὐτω̃ν διακόσιοι καὶ πάντες ἀδελφοὶ αὐτω̃ν μετ' αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Porro de Zabulon qui egrediebantur ad prælium, et stabant in acie instructi armis bellicis, quinquaginta millia venerunt in auxilium, non in corde duplici. (Ⅳ) - 33 ׃12 ומבני יששכר יודעי בינה לעתים לדעת מה יעשה ישראל ראשיהם מאתים וכל אחיהם על פיהם ס (Ⅴ)

And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
- De Nephthali, mille chefs, et avec eux trente-sept mille, portant le bouclier et la lance. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ Ζαβουλων ἐκπορευόμενοι εἰς παράταξιν πολέμου ἐν πα̃σιν σκεύεσιν πολεμικοι̃ς πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες βοηθη̃σαι τω̨̃ Δαυιδ οὐχ ἑτεροκλινω̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et de Nephthali, principes mille, et cum eis instructi clypeo et hasta, triginta et septem millia. (Ⅳ) - 34 ׃12 מזבלון יוצאי צבא ערכי מלחמה בכל כלי מלחמה חמשים אלף ולעדר בלא לב ולב ס (Ⅴ)

And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.

(Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ Νεφθαλι ἄρχοντες χίλιοι καὶ μετ' αὐτω̃ν ἐν θυρεοι̃ς καὶ δόρασιν τριάκοντα ἑπτὰ χιλιάδες (Ⅲ) - De Dan etiam præparati ad prælium, viginti octo millia sexcenti. (Ⅳ) - 35 ׃12 ומנפתלי שרים אלף ועמהם בצנה וחנית שלשים ושבעה אלף ס (Ⅴ)

And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.
- D'Aser, en état d'aller à l'armée et prêts à combattre: quarante mille. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν Δανιτω̃ν παρατασσόμενοι εἰς πόλεμον εἴκοσι ὀκτὼ χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακόσιοι (Ⅲ) - Et de Aser egredientes ad pugnam, et in acie provocantes, quadraginta millia. (Ⅳ) - 36 ׃12 ומן הדני ערכי מלחמה עשרים ושמונה אלף ושש מאות ס (Ⅴ)

And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
- Et de l'autre côté du Jourdain, des Rubénites, des Gadites, et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, avec toutes les armes de guerre, cent vingt mille. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ του̃ Ασηρ ἐκπορευόμενοι βοηθη̃σαι εἰς πόλεμον τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες (Ⅲ) - Trans Jordanem autem de filiis Ruben, et de Gad, et dimidia parte tribus Manasse, instructi armis bellicis, centum viginti millia. (Ⅳ) - 37 ׃12 ומאשר יוצאי צבא לערך מלחמה ארבעים אלף ס (Ⅴ)

All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
- Tous ces hommes, gens de guerre, prêts à combattre, arrivèrent à Hébron en sincérité de coeur pour établir David roi sur tout Israël. Et tout le reste d'Israël était également unanime pour faire régner David. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκ πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου ἀπὸ Ρουβην καὶ Γαδδι καὶ ἀπὸ του̃ ἡμίσους φυλη̃ς Μανασση ἐν πα̃σιν σκεύεσιν πολεμικοι̃ς ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι χιλιάδες (Ⅲ) - Omnes isti viri bellatores expediti ad pugnandum, corde perfecto venerunt in Hebron, ut constituerent regem David super universum Israël : sed et omnes reliqui ex Israël uno corde erant, ut rex fieret David. (Ⅳ) - 38 ׃12 ומעבר לירדן מן הראובני והגדי וחצי שבט מנשה בכל כלי צבא מלחמה מאה ועשרים אלף (Ⅴ)

And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
- Ils furent là trois jours avec David, mangeant et buvant, car leurs frères leur avaient préparé des vivres. (Ⅱ) - πάντες οὑ̃τοι ἄνδρες πολεμισταὶ παρατασσόμενοι παράταξιν ἐν ψυχη̨̃ εἰρηνικη̨̃ καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς Χεβρων του̃ βασιλευ̃σαι τὸν Δαυιδ ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ καὶ ὁ κατάλοιπος Ισραηλ ψυχὴ μία του̃ βασιλευ̃σαι τὸν Δαυιδ (Ⅲ) - Fueruntque ibi apud David tribus diebus comedentes et bibentes : præparaverant enim eis fratres sui. (Ⅳ) - 39 ׃12 כל אלה אנשי מלחמה עדרי מערכה בלבב שלם באו חברונה להמליך את דויד על כל ישראל וגם כל שרית ישראל לב אחד להמליך את דויד (Ⅴ)

Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.
- Et même ceux qui habitaient près d'eux jusqu'à Issacar, à Zabulon et à Nephthali, apportaient des aliments sur des ânes, sur des chameaux, sur des mulets et sur des boeufs, des mets de farine, des masses de figues sèches et de raisins secs, du vin, de l'huile, des boeufs et des brebis en abondance, car Israël était dans la joie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃σαν ἐκει̃ ἡμέρας τρει̃ς ἐσθίοντες καὶ πίνοντες ὅτι ἡτοίμασαν αὐτοι̃ς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Sed et qui juxta eos erant, usque ad Issachar, et Zabulon, et Nephthali, afferebant panes in asinis, et camelis, et mulis, et bobus ad vescendum : farinam, palathas, uvam passam, vinum, oleum, boves, arietes ad omnem copiam : gaudium quippe erat in Israël. (Ⅳ) - 40 ׃12 ויהיו שם עם דויד ימים שלושה אכלים ושותים כי הכינו להם אחיהם
41 ׃12 וגם הקרובים אליהם עד יששכר וזבלון ונפתלי מביאים לחם בחמורים ובגמלים ובפרדים ובבקר מאכל קמח דבלים וצמוקים ויין ושמן ובקר וצאן לרב כי שמחה בישראל פ (Ⅴ)
