34. 1

And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

- L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Taille deux tables de pierre comme les premières, et j'y écrirai les paroles qui étaient sur les premières tables que tu as brisées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν λάξευσον σεαυτω̨̃ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας καθὼς καὶ αἱ πρω̃ται καὶ ἀνάβηθι πρός με εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ γράψω ἐπὶ τω̃ν πλακω̃ν τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἠ̃ν ἐν ται̃ς πλαξὶν ται̃ς πρώταις αἱ̃ς συνέτριψας (Ⅲ)

- Ac deinceps : Præcide, ait, tibi duas tabulas lapideas instar priorum, et scribam super eas verba, quæ habuerunt tabulæ quas fregisti. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃34 ויאמר יהוה אל משה פסל לך שני לחת אבנים כראשנים וכתבתי על הלחת את הדברים אשר היו על הלחת הראשנים אשר שברת ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 2

And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.

- Sois prêt de bonne heure, et tu monteras dès le matin sur la montagne de Sinaï; tu te tiendras là devant moi, sur le sommet de la montagne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ γίνου ἕτοιμος εἰς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ ἀναβήση̨ ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινα καὶ στήση̨ μοι ἐκει̃ ἐπ' ἄκρου του̃ ὄρους (Ⅲ)

- Esto paratus mane, ut ascendas statim in montem Sinai, stabisque mecum super verticem montis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃34 והיה נכון לבקר ועלית בבקר אל הר סיני ונצבת לי שם על ראש ההר ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 3

And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.

- Que personne ne monte avec toi, et que personne ne paraisse sur toute la montagne; et même que ni brebis ni boeufs ne paissent près de cette montagne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ μηδεὶς ἀναβήτω μετὰ σου̃ μηδὲ ὀφθήτω ἐν παντὶ τω̨̃ ὄρει καὶ τὰ πρόβατα καὶ αἱ βόες μὴ νεμέσθωσαν πλησίον του̃ ὄρους ἐκείνου (Ⅲ)

- Nullus ascendat tecum, nec videatur quispiam per totum montem : boves quoque et oves non pascantur e contra. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃34 ואיש לא יעלה עמך וגם איש אל ירא בכל ההר גם הצאן והבקר אל ירעו אל מול ההר ההוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 4

And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

- Moïse tailla deux tables de pierre comme les premières; il se leva de bon matin, et monta sur la montagne de Sinaï, selon l'ordre que l'Éternel lui avait donné, et il prit dans sa main les deux tables de pierre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐλάξευσεν δύο πλάκας λιθίνας καθάπερ καὶ αἱ πρω̃ται καὶ ὀρθρίσας Μωυση̃ς ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινα καθότι συνέταξεν αὐτω̨̃ κύριος καὶ ἔλαβεν Μωυση̃ς τὰς δύο πλάκας τὰς λιθίνας (Ⅲ)

- Excidit ergo duas tabulas lapideas, quales antea fuerant : et de nocte consurgens ascendit in montem Sinai, sicut præceperat ei Dominus, portans secum tabulas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃34 ויפסל שני לחת אבנים כראשנים וישכם משה בבקר ויעל אל הר סיני כאשר צוה יהוה אתו ויקח בידו שני לחת אבנים ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 5

And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

- L'Éternel descendit dans une nuée, se tint là auprès de lui, et proclama le nom de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ κατέβη κύριος ἐν νεφέλη̨ καὶ παρέστη αὐτω̨̃ ἐκει̃ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τω̨̃ ὀνόματι κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Cumque descendisset Dominus per nubem, stetit Moyses cum eo, invocans nomen Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃34 וירד יהוה בענן ויתיצב עמו שם ויקרא בשם יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 6

And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

- Et l'Éternel passa devant lui, et s'écria: L'Éternel, l'Éternel, Dieu miséricordieux et compatissant, lent à la colère, riche en bonté et en fidélité, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ παρη̃λθεν κύριος πρὸ προσώπου αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς οἰκτίρμων καὶ ἐλεήμων μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος καὶ ἀληθινὸς (Ⅲ)

- Quo transeunte coram eo, ait : Dominator Domine Deus, misericors et clemens, patiens et multæ miserationis, ac verax, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃34 ויעבר יהוה על פניו ויקרא יהוה יהוה אל רחום וחנון ארך אפים ורב חסד ואמת‪[c]‬‪[n]‬‪[p]‬ ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 7

Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

- qui conserve son amour jusqu'à mille générations, qui pardonne l'iniquité, la rébellion et le péché, mais qui ne tient point le coupable pour innocent, et qui punit l'iniquité des pères sur les enfants et sur les enfants des enfants jusqu'à la troisième et à la quatrième génération! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ δικαιοσύνην διατηρω̃ν καὶ ποιω̃ν ἔλεος εἰς χιλιάδας ἀφαιρω̃ν ἀνομίας καὶ ἀδικίας καὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ οὐ καθαριει̃ τὸν ἔνοχον ἐπάγων ἀνομίας πατέρων ἐπὶ τέκνα καὶ ἐπὶ τέκνα τέκνων ἐπὶ τρίτην καὶ τετάρτην γενεάν (Ⅲ)

- qui custodis misericordiam in millia ; qui aufers iniquitatem, et scelera, atque peccata, nullusque apud te per se innocens est ; qui reddis iniquitatem patrum filiis, ac nepotibus in tertiam et quartam progeniem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃34 נצר חסד לאלפים נשא עון ופשע וחטאה ונקה לא ינקה פקד עון אבות על בנים ועל בני בנים על שלשים ועל רבעים ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 8

And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

- Aussitôt Moïse s'inclina à terre et se prosterna. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ σπεύσας Μωυση̃ς κύψας ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν προσεκύνησεν (Ⅲ)

- Festinusque Moyses, curvatus est pronus in terram, et adorans (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃34 וימהר משה ויקד ארצה וישתחו ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 9

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O LORD, let my LORD, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.

- Il dit: Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que le Seigneur marche au milieu de nous, car c'est un peuple au cou roide; pardonne nos iniquités et nos péchés, et prends-nous pour ta possession. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν εἰ εὕρηκα χάριν ἐνώπιόν σου συμπορευθήτω ὁ κύριός μου μεθ' ἡμω̃ν ὁ λαὸς γὰρ σκληροτράχηλός ἐστιν καὶ ἀφελει̃ς σὺ τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμω̃ν καὶ τὰς ἀνομίας ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἐσόμεθα σοί (Ⅲ)

- ait : Si inveni gratiam in conspectu tuo, Domine, obsecro ut gradiaris nobiscum (populus enim duræ cervicis est) et auferas iniquitates nostras atque peccata, nosque possideas.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃34 ויאמר אם נא מצאתי חן בעיניך אדני ילך נא אדני בקרבנו כי עם קשה ערף הוא וסלחת לעוננו ולחטאתנו ונחלתנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 10

And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

- L'Éternel répondit: Voici, je traite une alliance. Je ferai, en présence de tout ton peuple, des prodiges qui n'ont eu lieu dans aucun pays et chez aucune nation; tout le peuple qui t'environne verra l'oeuvre de l'Éternel, et c'est par toi que j'accomplirai des choses terribles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ τίθημί σοι διαθήκην ἐνώπιον παντὸς του̃ λαου̃ σου ποιήσω ἔνδοξα ἃ οὐ γέγονεν ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ γη̨̃ καὶ ἐν παντὶ ἔθνει καὶ ὄψεται πα̃ς ὁ λαός ἐν οἱ̃ς εἰ̃ σύ τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ὅτι θαυμαστά ἐστιν ἃ ἐγὼ ποιήσω σοι (Ⅲ)

- Respondit Dominus : Ego inibo pactum videntibus cunctis : signa faciam quæ numquam visa sunt super terram, nec in ullis gentibus, ut cernat populus iste, in cujus es medio, opus Domini terribile quod facturus sum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃34 ויאמר הנה אנכי כרת ברית נגד כל עמך אעשה נפלאת אשר לא נבראו בכל הארץ ובכל הגוים וראה כל העם אשר אתה בקרבו את מעשה יהוה כי נורא הוא אשר אני עשה עמך ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 11

Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

- Prends garde à ce que je t'ordonne aujourd'hui. Voici, je chasserai devant toi les Amoréens, les Cananéens, les Héthiens, les Phéréziens, les Héviens et les Jébusiens. (Ⅱ)

- πρόσεχε σὺ πάντα ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐκβάλλω πρὸ προσώπου ὑμω̃ν τὸν Αμορραι̃ον καὶ Χαναναι̃ον καὶ Χετται̃ον καὶ Φερεζαι̃ον καὶ Ευαι̃ον καὶ Γεργεσαι̃ον καὶ Ιεβουσαι̃ον (Ⅲ)

- Observa cuncta quæ hodie mando tibi : ego ipse ejiciam ante faciem tuam Amorrhæum, et Chananæum, et Hethæum, Pherezæum quoque, et Hevæum, et Jebusæum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃34 שמר לך את אשר אנכי מצוך היום הנני גרש מפניך את האמרי והכנעני והחתי והפרזי והחוי והיבוסי ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 12

Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

- Garde-toi de faire alliance avec les habitants du pays où tu dois entrer, de peur qu'ils ne soient un piège pour toi. (Ⅱ)

- πρόσεχε σεαυτω̨̃ μήποτε θη̨̃ς διαθήκην τοι̃ς ἐγκαθημένοις ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς εἰς ἣν εἰσπορεύη̨ εἰς αὐτήν μή σοι γένηται πρόσκομμα ἐν ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Cave ne umquam cum habitatoribus terræ illius jungas amicitias, quæ sint tibi in ruinam : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃34 השמר לך פן תכרת ברית ליושב הארץ אשר אתה בא עליה פן יהיה למוקש בקרבך ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 13

But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:

- Au contraire, vous renverserez leurs autels, vous briserez leurs statues, et vous abattrez leurs idoles. (Ⅱ)

- τοὺς βωμοὺς αὐτω̃ν καθελει̃τε καὶ τὰς στήλας αὐτω̃ν συντρίψετε καὶ τὰ ἄλση αὐτω̃ν ἐκκόψετε καὶ τὰ γλυπτὰ τω̃ν θεω̃ν αὐτω̃ν κατακαύσετε ἐν πυρί (Ⅲ)

- sed aras eorum destrue, confringe statuas, lucosque succide : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃34 כי את מזבחתם תתצון ואת מצבתם תשברון ואת אשריו תכרתון ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 14

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

- Tu ne te prosterneras point devant un autre dieu; car l'Éternel porte le nom de jaloux, il est un Dieu jaloux. (Ⅱ)

- οὐ γὰρ μὴ προσκυνήσητε θεω̨̃ ἑτέρω̨ ὁ γὰρ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ζηλωτὸν ὄνομα θεὸς ζηλωτής ἐστιν (Ⅲ)

- noli adorare deum alienum. Dominus zelotes nomen ejus ; Deus est æmulator. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃34 כי לא תשתחוה לאל אחר כי יהוה קנא שמו אל קנא הוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 15

Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

- Garde-toi de faire alliance avec les habitants du pays, de peur que, se prostituant à leurs dieux et leur offrant des sacrifices, ils ne t'invitent, et que tu ne manges de leurs victimes; (Ⅱ)

- μήποτε θη̨̃ς διαθήκην τοι̃ς ἐγκαθημένοις πρὸς ἀλλοφύλους ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ ἐκπορνεύσωσιν ὀπίσω τω̃ν θεω̃ν αὐτω̃ν καὶ θύσωσι τοι̃ς θεοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ καλέσωσίν σε καὶ φάγη̨ς τω̃ν θυμάτων αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Ne ineas pactum cum hominibus illarum regionum : ne, cum fornicati fuerint cum diis suis, et adoraverint simulacra eorum, vocet te quispiam ut comedas de immolatis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃34 פן תכרת ברית ליושב הארץ וזנו אחרי אלהיהם וזבחו לאלהיהם וקרא לך ואכלת מזבחו ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 16

And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.

- de peur que tu ne prennes de leurs filles pour tes fils, et que leurs filles, se prostituant à leurs dieux, n'entraînent tes fils à se prostituer à leurs dieux. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ λάβη̨ς τω̃ν θυγατέρων αὐτω̃ν τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς σου καὶ τω̃ν θυγατέρων σου δω̨̃ς τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐκπορνεύσωσιν αἱ θυγατέρες σου ὀπίσω τω̃ν θεω̃ν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐκπορνεύσωσιν τοὺς υἱούς σου ὀπίσω τω̃ν θεω̃ν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Nec uxorem de filiabus eorum accipies filiis tuis : ne, postquam ipsæ fuerint fornicatæ, fornicari faciant et filios tuos in deos suos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃34 ולקחת מבנתיו לבניך וזנו בנתיו אחרי אלהיהן והזנו את בניך אחרי אלהיהן ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 17

Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

- Tu ne te feras point de dieu en fonte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ θεοὺς χωνευτοὺς οὐ ποιήσεις σεαυτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Deos conflatiles non facies tibi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃34 אלהי מסכה לא תעשה לך ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 18

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.

- Tu observeras la fête des pains sans levain; pendant sept jours, au temps fixé dans le mois des épis, tu mangeras des pains sans levain, comme je t'en ai donné l'ordre, car c'est dans le mois des épis que tu es sorti d'Égypte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὴν ἑορτὴν τω̃ν ἀζύμων φυλάξη̨ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας φάγη̨ ἄζυμα καθάπερ ἐντέταλμαί σοι εἰς τὸν καιρὸν ἐν μηνὶ τω̃ν νέων ἐν γὰρ μηνὶ τω̃ν νέων ἐξη̃λθες ἐξ Αἰγύπτου (Ⅲ)

- Solemnitatem azymorum custodies. Septem diebus vesceris azymis, sicut præcepi tibi, in tempore mensis novorum : mense enim verni temporis egressus es de Ægypto. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃34 את חג המצות תשמר שבעת ימים תאכל מצות אשר צויתך למועד חדש האביב כי בחדש האביב יצאת ממצרים ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 19

All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.

- Tout premier-né m'appartient, même tout mâle premier-né dans les troupeaux de gros et de menu bétail. (Ⅱ)

- πα̃ν διανοι̃γον μήτραν ἐμοί τὰ ἀρσενικά πρωτότοκον μόσχου καὶ πρωτότοκον προβάτου (Ⅲ)

- Omne quod aperit vulvam generis masculini, meum erit. De cunctis animantibus, tam de bobus, quam de ovibus, meum erit. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃34 כל פטר רחם לי וכל מקנך תזכר פטר שור ושה ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 20

But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.

- Tu rachèteras avec un agneau le premier-né de l'âne; et si tu ne le rachètes pas, tu lui briseras la nuque. Tu rachèteras tout premier-né de tes fils; et l'on ne se présentera point à vide devant ma face. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πρωτότοκον ὑποζυγίου λυτρώση̨ προβάτω̨ ἐὰν δὲ μὴ λυτρώση̨ αὐτό τιμὴν δώσεις πα̃ν πρωτότοκον τω̃ν υἱω̃ν σου λυτρώση̨ οὐκ ὀφθήση̨ ἐνώπιόν μου κενός (Ⅲ)

- Primogenitum asini redimes ove : sin autem nec pretium pro eo dederis, occidetur. Primogenitum filiorum tuorum redimes : nec apparebis in conspectu meo vacuus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃34 ופטר חמור תפדה בשה ואם לא תפדה וערפתו כל בכור בניך תפדה ולא יראו פני ריקם ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 21

Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.

- Tu travailleras six jours, et tu te reposeras le septième jour; tu te reposeras, même au temps du labourage et de la moisson. (Ⅱ)

- ἓξ ἡμέρας ἐργα̨̃ τη̨̃ δὲ ἑβδόμη̨ καταπαύσεις τω̨̃ σπόρω̨ καὶ τω̨̃ ἀμήτω̨ καταπαύσεις (Ⅲ)

- Sex diebus operaberis ; die septimo cessabis arare et metere. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃34 ששת ימים תעבד וביום השביעי תשבת בחריש ובקציר תשבת ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 22

And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.

- Tu célébreras la fête des semaines, des prémices de la moisson du froment, et la fête de la récolte, à la fin de l'année. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἑορτὴν ἑβδομάδων ποιήσεις μοι ἀρχὴν θερισμου̃ πυρω̃ν καὶ ἑορτὴν συναγωγη̃ς μεσου̃ντος του̃ ἐνιαυτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Solemnitatem hebdomadarum facies tibi in primitiis frugum messis tuæ triticeæ, et solemnitatem, quando redeunte anni tempore cuncta conduntur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃34 וחג שבעת תעשה לך בכורי קציר חטים וחג האסיף תקופת השנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 23

Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the LORD God, the God of Israel.

- Trois fois par an, tous les mâles se présenteront devant le Seigneur, l'Éternel, Dieu d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- τρει̃ς καιροὺς του̃ ἐνιαυτου̃ ὀφθήσεται πα̃ν ἀρσενικόν σου ἐνώπιον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Tribus temporibus anni apparebit omne masculinum tuum in conspectu omnipotentis Domini Dei Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃34 שלש פעמים בשנה יראה כל זכורך את פני האדן יהוה אלהי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 24

For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.

- Car je chasserai les nations devant toi, et j'étendrai tes frontières; et personne ne convoitera ton pays, pendant que tu monteras pour te présenter devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu, trois fois par an. (Ⅱ)

- ὅταν γὰρ ἐκβάλω τὰ ἔθνη πρὸ προσώπου σου καὶ πλατύνω τὰ ὅριά σου οὐκ ἐπιθυμήσει οὐδεὶς τη̃ς γη̃ς σου ἡνίκα ἂν ἀναβαίνη̨ς ὀφθη̃ναι ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου τρει̃ς καιροὺς του̃ ἐνιαυτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Cum enim tulero gentes a facie tua, et dilatavero terminos tuos, nullus insidiabitur terræ tuæ, ascendente te, et apparente in conspectu Domini Dei tui ter in anno. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃34 כי אוריש גוים מפניך והרחבתי את גבולך ולא יחמד איש את ארצך בעלתך לראות את פני יהוה אלהיך שלש פעמים בשנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 25

Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

- Tu n'offriras point avec du pain levé le sang de la victime immolée en mon honneur; et le sacrifice de la fête de Pâque ne sera point gardé pendant la nuit jusqu'au matin. (Ⅱ)

- οὐ σφάξεις ἐπὶ ζύμη̨ αἱ̃μα θυμιαμάτων μου καὶ οὐ κοιμηθήσεται εἰς τὸ πρωὶ θύματα τη̃ς ἑορτη̃ς του̃ πασχα (Ⅲ)

- Non immolabis super fermento sanguinem hostiæ meæ : neque residebit mane de victima solemnitatis Phase. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃34 לא תשחט על חמץ דם זבחי ולא ילין לבקר זבח חג הפסח ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 26

The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

- Tu apporteras à la maison de L'Éternel, ton Dieu, les prémices des premiers fruits de la terre. Tu ne feras point cuire un chevreau dans le lait de sa mère. (Ⅱ)

- τὰ πρωτογενήματα τη̃ς γη̃ς σου θήσεις εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου οὐ προσοίσεις ἄρνα ἐν γάλακτι μητρὸς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Primitias frugum terræ tuæ offeres in domo Domini Dei tui. Non coques hædum in lacte matris suæ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃34 ראשית בכורי אדמתך תביא בית יהוה אלהיך לא תבשל גדי בחלב אמו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 27

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

- L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Écris ces paroles; car c'est conformément à ces paroles que je traite alliance avec toi et avec Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν γράψον σεαυτω̨̃ τὰ ῥήματα ταυ̃τα ἐπὶ γὰρ τω̃ν λόγων τούτων τέθειμαί σοι διαθήκην καὶ τω̨̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen : Scribe tibi verba hæc, quibus et tecum et cum Israël pepigi fœdus.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃34 ויאמר יהוה אל משה כתב לך את הדברים האלה כי על פי הדברים האלה כרתי אתך ברית ואת ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 28

And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

- Moïse fut là avec l'Éternel quarante jours et quarante nuits. Il ne mangea point de pain, et il ne but point d'eau. Et l'Éternel écrivit sur les tables les paroles de l'alliance, les dix paroles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ν ἐκει̃ Μωυση̃ς ἐναντίον κυρίου τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας ἄρτον οὐ̃κ ἔφαγεν καὶ ὕδωρ οὐκ ἔπιεν καὶ ἔγραψεν τὰ ῥήματα ταυ̃τα ἐπὶ τω̃ν πλακω̃ν τη̃ς διαθήκης τοὺς δέκα λόγους (Ⅲ)

- Fuit ergo ibi cum Domino quadraginta dies et quadraginta noctes : panem non comedit, et aquam non bibit, et scripsit in tabulis verba fœderis decem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃34 ויהי שם עם יהוה ארבעים יום וארבעים לילה לחם לא אכל ומים לא שתה ויכתב על הלחת את דברי הברית עשרת הדברים ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 29

And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

- Moïse descendit de la montagne de Sinaï, ayant les deux tables du témoignage dans sa main, en descendant de la montagne; et il ne savait pas que la peau de son visage rayonnait, parce qu'il avait parlé avec l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- ὡς δὲ κατέβαινεν Μωυση̃ς ἐκ του̃ ὄρους καὶ αἱ δύο πλάκες ἐπὶ τω̃ν χειρω̃ν Μωυση̃ καταβαίνοντος δὲ αὐτου̃ ἐκ του̃ ὄρους Μωυση̃ς οὐκ ἤ̨δει ὅτι δεδόξασται ἡ ὄψις του̃ χρώματος του̃ προσώπου αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ λαλει̃ν αὐτὸν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque descenderet Moyses de monte Sinai, tenebat duas tabulas testimonii, et ignorabat quod cornuta esset facies sua ex consortio sermonis Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃34 ויהי ברדת משה מהר סיני ושני לחת העדת ביד משה ברדתו מן ההר ומשה לא ידע כי קרן עור פניו בדברו אתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 30

And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

- Aaron et tous les enfants d'Israël regardèrent Moïse, et voici la peau de son visage rayonnait; et ils craignaient de s'approcher de lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃δεν Ααρων καὶ πάντες οἱ πρεσβύτεροι Ισραηλ τὸν Μωυση̃ν καὶ ἠ̃ν δεδοξασμένη ἡ ὄψις του̃ χρώματος του̃ προσώπου αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν ἐγγίσαι αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Videntes autem Aaron et filii Israël cornutam Moysi faciem, timuerunt prope accedere. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃34 וירא אהרן וכל בני ישראל את משה והנה קרן עור פניו וייראו מגשת אליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 31

And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.

- Moïse les appela; Aaron et tous les principaux de l'assemblée vinrent auprès de lui, et il leur parla. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτοὺς Μωυση̃ς καὶ ἐπεστράφησαν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ααρων καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς καὶ ἐλάλησεν αὐτοι̃ς Μωυση̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Vocatique ab eo, reversi sunt tam Aaron, quam principes synagogæ. Et postquam locutus est ad eos, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃34 ויקרא אלהם משה וישבו אליו אהרן וכל הנשאים בעדה וידבר משה אלהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 32

And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.

- Après cela, tous les enfants d'Israël s'approchèrent, et il leur donna tous les ordres qu'il avait reçus de l'Éternel, sur la montagne de Sinaï. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ μετὰ ταυ̃τα προση̃λθον πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐνετείλατο αὐτοι̃ς πάντα ὅσα ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐν τω̨̃ ὄρει Σινα (Ⅲ)

- venerunt ad eum etiam omnes filii Israël : quibus præcepit cuncta quæ audierat a Domino in monte Sinai. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃34 ואחרי כן נגשו כל בני ישראל ויצום את כל אשר דבר יהוה אתו בהר סיני ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 33

And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.

- Lorsque Moïse eut achevé de leur parler, il mit un voile sur son visage. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπειδὴ κατέπαυσεν λαλω̃ν πρὸς αὐτούς ἐπέθηκεν ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ κάλυμμα (Ⅲ)

- Impletisque sermonibus, posuit velamen super faciem suam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 33 ׃34 ויכל משה מדבר אתם ויתן על פניו מסוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 34

But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.

- Quand Moïse entrait devant l'Éternel, pour lui parler, il ôtait le voile, jusqu'à ce qu'il sortît; et quand il sortait, il disait aux enfants d'Israël ce qui lui avait été ordonné. (Ⅱ)

- ἡνίκα δ' ἂν εἰσεπορεύετο Μωυση̃ς ἔναντι κυρίου λαλει̃ν αὐτω̨̃ περιη̨ρει̃το τὸ κάλυμμα ἕως του̃ ἐκπορεύεσθαι καὶ ἐξελθὼν ἐλάλει πα̃σιν τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ ὅσα ἐνετείλατο αὐτω̨̃ κύριος (Ⅲ)

- Quod ingressus ad Dominum, et loquens cum eo, auferebat donec exiret, et tunc loquebatur ad filios Israël omnia quæ sibi fuerant imperata. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 34 ׃34 ובבא משה לפני יהוה לדבר אתו יסיר את המסוה עד צאתו ויצא ודבר אל בני ישראל את אשר יצוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

34. 35

And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

- Les enfants d'Israël regardaient le visage de Moïse, et voyait que la peau de son visage rayonnait; et Moïse remettait le voile sur son visage jusqu'à ce qu'il entrât, pour parler avec l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃δον οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὸ πρόσωπον Μωυση̃ ὅτι δεδόξασται καὶ περιέθηκεν Μωυση̃ς κάλυμμα ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσωπον ἑαυτου̃ ἕως ἂν εἰσέλθη̨ συλλαλει̃ν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Qui videbant faciem egredientis Moysi esse cornutam, sed operiebat ille rursus faciem suam, siquando loquebatur ad eos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 35 ׃34 וראו בני ישראל את פני משה כי קרן עור פני משה והשיב משה את המסוה על פניו עד באו לדבר אתו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
