And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
- Fais-toi deux trompettes d'argent; tu les feras d'argent battu. Elles te serviront pour la convocation de l'assemblée et pour le départ des camps. (Ⅱ) - ποίησον σεαυτω̨̃ δύο σάλπιγγας ἀργυρα̃ς ἐλατὰς ποιήσεις αὐτάς καὶ ἔσονταί σοι ἀνακαλει̃ν τὴν συναγωγὴν καὶ ἐξαίρειν τὰς παρεμβολάς (Ⅲ) - Fac tibi duas tubas argenteas ductiles, quibus convocare possis multitudinem quando movenda sunt castra. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃10 עשה לך שתי חצוצרת כסף מקשה תעשה אתם והיו לך למקרא העדה ולמסע את המחנות (Ⅴ)

And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
- Quand on en sonnera, toute l'assemblée se réunira auprès de toi, à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation. (Ⅱ) - καὶ σαλπίσεις ἐν αὐται̃ς καὶ συναχθήσεται πα̃σα ἡ συναγωγὴ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς του̃ μαρτυρίου (Ⅲ) - Cumque increpueris tubis, congregabitur ad te omnis turba ad ostium tabernaculi fœderis. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃10 ותקעו בהן ונועדו אליך כל העדה אל פתח אהל מועד (Ⅴ)

And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
- Si l'on ne sonne que d'une trompette, les princes, les chefs des milliers d'Israël, se réuniront auprès de toi. (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν δὲ ἐν μια̨̃ σαλπίσωσιν προσελεύσονται πρὸς σὲ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες ἀρχηγοὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Si semel clangueris, venient ad te principes, et capita multitudinis Israël. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃10 ואם באחת יתקעו ונועדו אליך הנשיאים ראשי אלפי ישראל (Ⅴ)

When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
- Quand vous sonnerez avec éclat, ceux qui campent à l'orient partiront; (Ⅱ) - καὶ σαλπιει̃τε σημασίαν καὶ ἐξαρου̃σιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι ἀνατολάς (Ⅲ) - Si autem prolixior atque concisus clangor increpuerit, movebunt castra primi qui sunt ad orientalem plagam. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃10 ותקעתם תרועה ונסעו המחנות החנים קדמה (Ⅴ)

When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
- quand vous sonnerez avec éclat pour la seconde fois, ceux qui campent au midi partiront: on sonnera avec éclat pour leur départ. (Ⅱ) - καὶ σαλπιει̃τε σημασίαν δευτέραν καὶ ἐξαρου̃σιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι λίβα καὶ σαλπιει̃τε σημασίαν τρίτην καὶ ἐξαρου̃σιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι παρὰ θάλασσαν καὶ σαλπιει̃τε σημασίαν τετάρτην καὶ ἐξαρου̃σιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι πρὸς βορρα̃ν σημασία̨ σαλπιου̃σιν ἐν τη̨̃ ἐξάρσει αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - In secundo autem sonitu et pari ululatu tubæ, levabunt tentoria qui habitant ad meridiem ; et juxta hunc modum reliqui facient, ululantibus tubis in profectionem. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃10 ותקעתם תרועה שנית ונסעו המחנות החנים תימנה תרועה יתקעו למסעיהם (Ⅴ)

But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
- Vous sonnerez aussi pour convoquer l'assemblée, mais vous ne sonnerez pas avec éclat. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὅταν συναγάγητε τὴν συναγωγήν σαλπιει̃τε καὶ οὐ σημασία̨ (Ⅲ) - Quando autem congregandus est populus, simplex tubarum clangor erit, et non concise ululabunt. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃10 ובהקהיל את הקהל תתקעו ולא תריעו (Ⅴ)

And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
- Les fils d'Aaron, les sacrificateurs, sonneront des trompettes. Ce sera une loi perpétuelle pour vous et pour vos descendants. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ααρων οἱ ἱερει̃ς σαλπιου̃σιν ται̃ς σάλπιγξιν καὶ ἔσται ὑμι̃ν νόμιμον αἰώνιον εἰς τὰς γενεὰς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Filii autem Aaron sacerdotes clangent tubis : eritque hoc legitimum sempiternum in generationibus vestris. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃10 ובני אהרן הכהנים יתקעו בחצצרות והיו לכם לחקת עולם לדרתיכם (Ⅴ)

And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
- Lorsque, dans votre pays, vous irez à la guerre contre l'ennemi qui vous combattra, vous sonnerez des trompettes avec éclat, et vous serez présents au souvenir de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et vous serez délivrés de vos ennemis. (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν δὲ ἐξέλθητε εἰς πόλεμον ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ὑμω̃ν πρὸς τοὺς ὑπεναντίους τοὺς ἀνθεστηκότας ὑμι̃ν καὶ σημανει̃τε ται̃ς σάλπιγξιν καὶ ἀναμνησθήσεσθε ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ διασωθήσεσθε ἀπὸ τω̃ν ἐχθρω̃ν ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Si exieritis ad bellum de terra vestra contra hostes qui dimicant adversum vos, clangetis ululantibus tubis, et erit recordatio vestri coram Domino Deo vestro, ut eruamini de manibus inimicorum vestrorum. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃10 וכי תבאו מלחמה בארצכם על הצר הצרר אתכם והרעתם בחצצרות ונזכרתם[1] לפני יהוה אלהיכם ונושעתם מאיביכם (Ⅴ)

Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.
- Dans vos jours de joie, dans vos fêtes, et à vos nouvelles lunes, vous sonnerez des trompettes, en offrant vos holocaustes et vos sacrifices d'actions de grâces, et elles vous mettront en souvenir devant votre Dieu. Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις τη̃ς εὐφροσύνης ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἑορται̃ς ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐν ται̃ς νουμηνίαις ὑμω̃ν σαλπιει̃τε ται̃ς σάλπιγξιν ἐπὶ τοι̃ς ὁλοκαυτώμασιν καὶ ἐπὶ ται̃ς θυσίαις τω̃ν σωτηρίων ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἔσται ὑμι̃ν ἀνάμνησις ἔναντι του̃ θεου̃ ὑμω̃ν ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Siquando habebitis epulum, et dies festos, et calendas, canetis tubis super holocaustis, et pacificis victimis, ut sint vobis in recordationem Dei vestri. Ego Dominus Deus vester.\ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃10 וביום שמחתכם ובמועדיכם ובראשי חדשיכם ותקעתם בחצצרת על עלתיכם ועל זבחי שלמיכם והיו לכם לזכרון לפני אלהיכם אני יהוה אלהיכם פ (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

(Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ ἐνιαυτω̨̃ τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ ἐν τω̨̃ μηνὶ τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ εἰκάδι του̃ μηνὸς ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη ἀπὸ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς του̃ μαρτυρίου (Ⅲ) - Anno secundo, mense secundo, vigesima die mensis, elevata est nubes de tabernaculo fœderis : (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃10 ויהי בשנה השנית בחדש השני בעשרים בחדש נעלה הענן מעל משכן העדת (Ⅴ)

And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.
- Et les enfants d'Israël partirent du désert de Sinaï, selon l'ordre fixé pour leur marche. La nuée s'arrêta dans le désert de Paran. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃ραν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ σὺν ἀπαρτίαις αὐτω̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ Σινα καὶ ἔστη ἡ νεφέλη ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ του̃ Φαραν (Ⅲ) - profectique sunt filii Israël per turmas suas de deserto Sinai, et recubuit nubes in solitudine Pharan. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃10 ויסעו בני ישראל למסעיהם ממדבר סיני וישכן הענן במדבר פארן (Ⅴ)

And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

Le corps d'armée de Juda était commandé par Nachschon, fils d'Amminadab; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃ραν τάγμα παρεμβολη̃ς υἱω̃ν Ιουδα πρω̃τοι σὺν δυνάμει αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐπὶ τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτω̃ν Ναασσων υἱὸς Αμιναδαβ (Ⅲ) - Filii Juda per turmas suas : quorum princeps erat Nahasson filius Aminadab. And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.

(Ⅱ) - καὶ καθελου̃σιν τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ ἐξαρου̃σιν οἱ υἱοὶ Γεδσων καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Μεραρι αἴροντες τὴν σκηνήν (Ⅲ) - Depositumque est tabernaculum, quod portantes egressi sunt filii Gerson et Merari. Le corps d'armée de Ruben était commandé par Élitsur, fils de Schedéur; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃ραν τάγμα παρεμβολη̃ς Ρουβην σὺν δυνάμει αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐπὶ τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτω̃ν Ελισουρ υἱὸς Σεδιουρ (Ⅲ) - Profectique sunt et filii Ruben, per turmas et ordinem suum : quorum princeps erat Helisur filius Sedeur. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃10 ונסע דגל מחנה ראובן לצבאתם ועל צבאו אליצור בן שדיאור (Ⅴ)

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.

Tamdiu tabernaculum portabatur, donec venirent ad erectionis locum. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃10 ונסעו הקהתים נשאי המקדש והקימו את המשכן עד באם ס (Ⅴ)

And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
- La bannière du camp des fils d'Éphraïm partit, avec ses corps d'armée. Le corps d'armée d'Éphraïm était commandé par Élischama, fils d'Ammihud; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξαρου̃σιν τάγμα παρεμβολη̃ς Εφραιμ σὺν δυνάμει αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐπὶ τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτω̃ν Ελισαμα υἱὸς Εμιουδ (Ⅲ) - Moverunt castra et filii Ephraim per turmas suas, in quorum exercitu princeps erat Elisama filius Ammiud. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃10 ונסע דגל מחנה בני אפרים לצבאתם ועל צבאו אלישמע בן עמיהוד (Ⅴ)

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rearward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

Le corps d'armée de Dan était commandé par Ahiézer, fils d'Ammischaddaï; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξαρου̃σιν τάγμα παρεμβολη̃ς υἱω̃ν Δαν ἔσχατοι πασω̃ν τω̃ν παρεμβολω̃ν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐπὶ τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτω̃ν Αχιεζερ ὁ του̃ Αμισαδαι (Ⅲ) - Novissimi castrorum omnium profecti sunt filii Dan per turmas suas, in quorum exercitu princeps fuit Ahiezer filius Ammisaddai. (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃10 ונסע דגל מחנה בני דן מאסף לכל המחנת לצבאתם ועל צבאו אחיעזר בן עמישדי[p] (Ⅴ)

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.

Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
- Tel fut l'ordre d'après lequel les enfants d'Israël se mirent en marche selon leur corps d'armée; et c'est ainsi qu'ils partirent. (Ⅱ) - αὑ̃ται αἱ στρατιαὶ υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐξη̃ραν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Hæc sunt castra, et profectiones filiorum Israël per turmas suas quando egrediebantur.\ (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃10 אלה מסעי בני ישראל לצבאתם ויסעו ס (Ⅴ)

And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.
- Moïse dit à Hobab, fils de Réuel, le Madianite, beau-père de Moïse: Nous partons pour le lieu dont l'Éternel a dit: Je vous le donnerai. Viens avec nous, et nous te ferons du bien, car l'Éternel a promis de faire du bien à Israël. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μωυση̃ς τω̨̃ Ιωβαβ υἱω̨̃ Ραγουηλ τω̨̃ Μαδιανίτη̨ τω̨̃ γαμβρω̨̃ Μωυση̃ ἐξαίρομεν ἡμει̃ς εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν εἰ̃πεν κύριος του̃τον δώσω ὑμι̃ν δευ̃ρο μεθ' ἡμω̃ν καὶ εὐ̃ σε ποιήσομεν ὅτι κύριος ἐλάλησεν καλὰ περὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Dixitque Moyses Hobab filio Raguel Madianitæ, cognato suo : Proficiscimur ad locum quem Dominus daturus est nobis : veni nobiscum, ut benefaciamus tibi, quia Dominus bona promisit Israëli. (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃10 ויאמר משה לחבב בן רעואל המדיני חתן משה נסעים אנחנו אל המקום אשר אמר יהוה אתו אתן לכם לכה אתנו והטבנו לך כי יהוה דבר טוב על ישראל (Ⅴ)

And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.
- Hobab lui répondit: Je n'irai point; mais j'irai dans mon pays et dans ma patrie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν οὐ πορεύσομαι ἀλλὰ εἰς τὴν γη̃ν μου καὶ εἰς τὴν γενεάν μου (Ⅲ) - Cui ille respondit : Non vadam tecum, sed revertar in terram meam, in qua natus sum. (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃10 ויאמר אליו לא אלך כי אם אל ארצי ואל מולדתי אלך (Ⅴ)

And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.
- Et Moïse dit: Ne nous quitte pas, je te prie; puisque tu connais les lieux où nous campons dans le désert, tu nous serviras de guide. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν μὴ ἐγκαταλίπη̨ς ἡμα̃ς οὑ̃ εἵνεκεν ἠ̃σθα μεθ' ἡμω̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ καὶ ἔση̨ ἐν ἡμι̃ν πρεσβύτης (Ⅲ) - Et ille : Noli, inquit, nos relinquere : tu enim nosti in quibus locis per desertum castra ponere debeamus, et eris ductor noster. (Ⅳ) - 31 ׃10 ויאמר אל נא תעזב אתנו כי על כן ידעת חנתנו במדבר והיית לנו לעינים (Ⅴ)

And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.
- Et si tu viens avec nous, nous te ferons jouir du bien que l'Éternel nous fera. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν πορευθη̨̃ς μεθ' ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἔσται τὰ ἀγαθὰ ἐκει̃να ὅσα ἐὰν ἀγαθοποιήση̨ κύριος ἡμα̃ς καὶ εὐ̃ σε ποιήσομεν (Ⅲ) - Cumque nobiscum veneris, quidquid optimum fuerit ex opibus, quas nobis traditurus est Dominus, dabimus tibi. (Ⅳ) - 32 ׃10 והיה כי תלך עמנו והיה הטוב ההוא אשר ייטיב יהוה עמנו והטבנו לך (Ⅴ)

And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them.
- Ils partirent de la montagne de l'Éternel, et marchèrent trois jours; l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel partit devant eux, et fit une marche de trois jours, pour leur chercher un lieu de repos. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃ραν ἐκ του̃ ὄρους κυρίου ὁδὸν τριω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν καὶ ἡ κιβωτὸς τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου προεπορεύετο προτέρα αὐτω̃ν ὁδὸν τριω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν κατασκέψασθαι αὐτοι̃ς ἀνάπαυσιν (Ⅲ) - Profecti sunt ergo de monte Domini viam trium dierum, arcaque fœderis Domini præcedebat eos, per dies tres providens castrorum locum. (Ⅳ) - 33 ׃10 ויסעו מהר יהוה דרך שלשת ימים וארון ברית יהוה נסע לפניהם דרך שלשת ימים לתור להם מנוחה (Ⅴ)

And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
- La nuée de l'Éternel était au-dessus d'eux pendant le jour, lorsqu'ils partaient du camp. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξαίρειν τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μωυση̃ς ἐξεγέρθητι κύριε διασκορπισθήτωσαν οἱ ἐχθροί σου φυγέτωσαν πάντες οἱ μισου̃ντές σε (Ⅲ) - Nubes quoque Domini super eos erat per diem cum incederent. (Ⅳ) - 34 ׃10 וענן יהוה עליהם יומם בנסעם מן המחנה [8]׆ס (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
- Quand l'arche partait, Moïse disait: Lève-toi, Éternel! et que tes ennemis soient dispersés! que ceux qui te haïssent fuient devant ta face! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ καταπαύσει εἰ̃πεν ἐπίστρεφε κύριε χιλιάδας μυριάδας ἐν τω̨̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Cumque elevaretur arca, dicebat Moyses : Surge, Domine, et dissipentur inimici tui, et fugiant qui oderunt te, a facie tua. (Ⅳ) - 35 ׃10 ויהי בנסע הארן ויאמר משה קומה יהוה ויפצו איביך וינסו משנאיך מפניך (Ⅴ)

And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.
- Et quand on la posait, il disait: Reviens, Éternel, aux myriades des milliers d'Israël! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἡ νεφέλη ἐγένετο σκιάζουσα ἐπ' αὐτοι̃ς ἡμέρας ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξαίρειν αὐτοὺς ἐκ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Cum autem deponeretur, aiebat : Revertere, Domine, ad multitudinem exercitus Israël. (Ⅳ) - 36 ׃10 ובנחה יאמר שובה יהוה רבבות אלפי ישראל [8]׆ס (Ⅴ)
