Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
- Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Lorsque vous aurez passé le Jourdain et que vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan, (Ⅱ) - λάλησον τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρει̃ς πρὸς αὐτούς ὑμει̃ς διαβαίνετε τὸν Ιορδάνην εἰς γη̃ν Χανααν (Ⅲ) - Præcipe filiis Israël, et dic ad eos : Quando transieritis Jordanem, intrantes terram Chanaan, (Ⅳ) - 51 ׃33 דבר אל בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם עברים את הירדן אל ארץ כנען (Ⅴ)

Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
- vous chasserez devant vous tous les habitants du pays, vous détruirez toutes leurs idoles de pierre, vous détruirez toutes leurs images de fonte, et vous détruirez tous leurs hauts lieux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπολει̃τε πάντας τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ πρὸ προσώπου ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐξαρει̃τε τὰς σκοπιὰς αὐτω̃ν καὶ πάντα τὰ εἴδωλα τὰ χωνευτὰ αὐτω̃ν ἀπολει̃τε αὐτὰ καὶ πάσας τὰς στήλας αὐτω̃ν ἐξαρει̃τε (Ⅲ) - disperdite cunctos habitatores terræ illius : confringite titulos, et statuas comminuite, atque omnia excelsa vastate, (Ⅳ) - 52 ׃33 והורשתם את כל ישבי הארץ מפניכם ואבדתם את כל משכיתם ואת כל צלמי מסכתם תאבדו ואת כל במתם תשמידו (Ⅴ)

And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
- Vous prendrez possession du pays, et vous vous y établirez; car je vous ai donné le pays, pour qu'il soit votre propriété. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπολει̃τε πάντας τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας τὴν γη̃ν καὶ κατοικήσετε ἐν αὐτη̨̃ ὑμι̃ν γὰρ δέδωκα τὴν γη̃ν αὐτω̃ν ἐν κλήρω̨ (Ⅲ) - mundantes terram, et habitantes in ea. Ego enim dedi vobis illam in possessionem, (Ⅳ) - 53 ׃33 והורשתם את הארץ וישבתם בה כי לכם נתתי את הארץ לרשת אתה (Ⅴ)

And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
- Vous partagerez le pays par le sort, selon vos familles. A ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre vous donnerez une portion plus grande, et à ceux qui sont en plus petit nombre vous donnerez une portion plus petite. Chacun possédera ce qui lui sera échu par le sort: vous le recevrez en propriété, selon les tribus de vos pères. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατακληρονομήσετε τὴν γη̃ν αὐτω̃ν ἐν κλήρω̨ κατὰ φυλὰς ὑμω̃ν τοι̃ς πλείοσιν πληθυνει̃τε τὴν κατάσχεσιν αὐτω̃ν καὶ τοι̃ς ἐλάττοσιν ἐλαττώσετε τὴν κατάσχεσιν αὐτω̃ν εἰς ὃ ἐὰν ἐξέλθη̨ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ ἐκει̃ αὐτου̃ ἔσται κατὰ φυλὰς πατριω̃ν ὑμω̃ν κληρονομήσετε (Ⅲ) - quam dividetis vobis sorte. Pluribus dabitis latiorem, et paucis angustiorem. Singulis ut sors ceciderit, ita tribuetur hæreditas. Per tribus et familias possessio dividetur. (Ⅳ) - 54 ׃33 והתנחלתם את הארץ בגורל למשפחתיכם לרב תרבו את נחלתו ולמעט תמעיט את נחלתו אל אשר יצא לו שמה הגורל לו יהיה למטות אבתיכם תתנחלו (Ⅴ)

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
- Mais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous laisserez seront comme des épines dans vos yeux et des aiguillons dans vos côtés, ils seront vos ennemis dans le pays où vous allez vous établir. (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀπολέσητε τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἔσται οὓς ἐὰν καταλίπητε ἐξ αὐτω̃ν σκόλοπες ἐν τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς ὑμω̃ν καὶ βολίδες ἐν ται̃ς πλευραι̃ς ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐχθρεύσουσιν ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ἐφ' ἣν ὑμει̃ς κατοικήσετε (Ⅲ) - Sin autem nolueritis interficere habitatores terræ : qui remanserint, erunt vobis quasi clavi in oculis, et lanceæ in lateribus, et adversabuntur vobis in terra habitationis vestræ : (Ⅳ) - 55 ׃33 ואם לא תורישו את ישבי הארץ מפניכם והיה אשר תותירו מהם לשכים בעיניכם ולצנינם בצדיכם וצררו אתכם על הארץ אשר אתם ישבים בה (Ⅴ)

Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
- Et il arrivera que je vous traiterai comme j'avais résolu de les traiter. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται καθότι διεγνώκειν ποιη̃σαι αὐτούς ποιήσω ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ) - et quidquid illis cogitaveram facere, vobis faciam. (Ⅳ) - 56 ׃33 והיה כאשר דמיתי לעשות להם אעשה לכם פ (Ⅴ)
