13. 1

And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

- Les enfants d'Israël firent encore ce qui déplaît à l'Éternel; et l'Éternel les livra entre les mains des Philistins, pendant quarante ans. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ προσέθηκαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ποιη̃σαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Φυλιστιιμ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Rursumque filii Israël fecerunt malum in conspectu Domini : qui tradidit eos in manus Philisthinorum quadraginta annis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃13 ויספו בני ישראל לעשות הרע בעיני יהוה ויתנם יהוה ביד פלשתים ארבעים שנה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 2

And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.

- Il y avait un homme de Tsorea, de la famille des Danites, et qui s'appelait Manoach. Sa femme était stérile, et n'enfantait pas. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ν ἀνὴρ εἱ̃ς ἀπὸ Σαραα ἀπὸ δήμου συγγενείας του̃ Δανι καὶ ὄνομα αὐτω̨̃ Μανωε καὶ γυνὴ αὐτω̨̃ στει̃ρα καὶ οὐκ ἔτεκεν (Ⅲ)

- Erat autem quidam vir de Saraa, et de stirpe Dan, nomine Manue, habens uxorem sterilem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃13 ויהי איש אחד מצרעה ממשפחת הדני ושמו מנוח ואשתו עקרה ולא ילדה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 3

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

- Un ange de l'Éternel apparut à la femme, et lui dit: Voici, tu es stérile, et tu n'as point d'enfants; tu deviendras enceinte, et tu enfanteras un fils. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὤφθη ἄγγελος κυρίου πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτήν ἰδοὺ σὺ στει̃ρα καὶ οὐ τέτοκας καὶ συλλήμψη̨ υἱόν (Ⅲ)

- Cui apparuit angelus Domini, et dixit ad eam : Sterilis es et absque liberis : sed concipies, et paries filium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃13 וירא מלאך יהוה אל האשה ויאמר אליה הנה נא את עקרה ולא ילדת והרית וילדת בן ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 4

Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

- Maintenant prends bien garde, ne bois ni vin ni liqueur forte, et ne mange rien d'impur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ νυ̃ν φύλαξαι δὴ καὶ μὴ πίη̨ς οἰ̃νον καὶ μέθυσμα καὶ μὴ φάγη̨ς πα̃ν ἀκάθαρτον (Ⅲ)

- Cave ergo ne bibas vinum ac siceram, nec immundum quidquam comedas : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃13 ועתה השמרי נא ואל תשתי יין ושכר ואל תאכלי כל טמא ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 5

For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

- Car tu vas devenir enceinte et tu enfanteras un fils. Le rasoir ne passera point sur sa tête, parce que cet enfant sera consacré à Dieu dès le ventre de sa mère; et ce sera lui qui commencera à délivrer Israël de la main des Philistins. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι ἰδοὺ σὺ ἐν γαστρὶ ἔχεις καὶ τέξη̨ υἱόν καὶ σίδηρος οὐκ ἀναβήσεται ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτου̃ ὅτι ναζιρ θεου̃ ἔσται τὸ παιδάριον ἀπὸ τη̃ς κοιλίας καὶ αὐτὸς ἄρξεται του̃ σω̃σαι τὸν Ισραηλ ἐκ χειρὸς Φυλιστιιμ (Ⅲ)

- quia concipies, et paries filium, cujus non tanget caput novacula : erit enim nazaræus Dei ab infantia sua et ex matris utero, et ipse incipiet liberare Israël de manu Philisthinorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃13 כי הנך הרה וילדת בן ומורה לא יעלה על ראשו כי נזיר אלהים יהיה הנער מן הבטן והוא יחל להושיע את ישראל מיד פלשתים ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 6

Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:

- La femme alla dire à son mari; Un homme de Dieu est venu vers moi, et il avait l'aspect d'un ange de Dieu, un aspect redoutable. Je ne lui ai pas demandé d'où il était, et il ne m'a pas fait connaître son nom. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰση̃λθεν ἡ γυνὴ καὶ εἰ̃πεν τω̨̃ ἀνδρὶ αὐτη̃ς λέγουσα ἄνθρωπος θεου̃ ἠ̃λθεν πρός με καὶ εἰ̃δος αὐτου̃ ὡς εἰ̃δος ἀγγέλου θεου̃ φοβερὸν σφόδρα καὶ οὐκ ἠρώτησα αὐτόν πόθεν ἐστίν καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἀπήγγειλέν μοι (Ⅲ)

- Quæ cum venisset ad maritum suum, dixit ei : Vir Dei venit ad me, habens vultum angelicum, terribilis nimis. Quem cum interrogassem quis esset, et unde venisset, et quo nomine vocaretur, noluit mihi dicere : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃13 ותבא האשה ותאמר לאישה לאמר איש האלהים בא אלי ומראהו כמראה מלאך האלהים נורא מאד ולא שאלתיהו אי מזה הוא ואת שמו לא הגיד לי ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 7

But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

- Mais il m'a dit: Tu vas devenir enceinte, et tu enfanteras un fils; et maintenant ne bois ni vin ni liqueur forte, et ne mange rien d'impur, parce que cet enfant sera consacré à Dieu dès le ventre de sa mère jusqu'au jour de sa mort. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πέν μοι ἰδοὺ σὺ ἐν γαστρὶ ἔχεις καὶ τέξη̨ υἱόν καὶ νυ̃ν μὴ πίη̨ς οἰ̃νον καὶ μέθυσμα καὶ μὴ φάγη̨ς πα̃ν ἀκάθαρτον ὅτι ἅγιον θεου̃ ἔσται τὸ παιδάριον ἀπὸ γαστρὸς ἕως ἡμέρας θανάτου αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- sed hoc respondit : Ecce concipies et paries filium : cave ne vinum bibas, nec siceram, et ne aliquo vescaris immundo : erit enim puer nazaræus Dei ab infantia sua, ex utero matris suæ usque ad diem mortis suæ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃13 ויאמר לי הנך הרה וילדת בן ועתה אל תשתי יין ושכר ואל תאכלי כל טמאה כי נזיר אלהים יהיה הנער מן הבטן עד יום מותו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 8

Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born.

- Manoach fit cette prière à l'Éternel: Ah! Seigneur, que l'homme de Dieu que tu as envoyé vienne encore vers nous, et qu'il nous enseigne ce que nous devons faire pour l'enfant qui naîtra! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ προσηύξατο Μανωε πρὸς κύριον καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐν ἐμοί κύριε Αδωναιε τὸν ἄνθρωπον του̃ θεου̃ ὃν ἀπέστειλας ἐλθέτω δὴ ἔτι πρὸς ἡμα̃ς καὶ συμβιβασάτω ἡμα̃ς τί ποιήσωμεν τω̨̃ παιδίω̨ τω̨̃ τικτομένω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Oravit itaque Manue Dominum, et ait : Obsecro, Domine, ut vir Dei, quem misisti, veniat iterum, et doceat nos quid debeamus facere de puero, qui nasciturus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃13 ויעתר מנוח אל יהוה ויאמר בי אדוני איש האלהים אשר שלחת יבוא נא עוד אלינו ויורנו מה נעשה לנער היולד ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 9

And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.

- Dieu exauça la prière de Manoach, et l'ange de Dieu vint encore vers la femme. Elle était assise dans un champ, et Manoach, son mari, n'était pas avec elle. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰσήκουσεν ὁ θεὸς τη̃ς φωνη̃ς Μανωε καὶ ἠ̃λθεν ὁ ἄγγελος του̃ θεου̃ ἔτι πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα καὶ αὕτη ἐκάθητο ἐν ἀγρω̨̃ καὶ Μανωε ὁ ἀνὴρ αὐτη̃ς οὐκ ἠ̃ν μετ' αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Exaudivitque Dominus deprecantem Manue, et apparuit rursum angelus Dei uxori ejus sedenti in agro : Manue autem maritus ejus non erat cum ea. Quæ cum vidisset angelum, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃13 וישמע האלהים בקול מנוח ויבא מלאך האלהים עוד אל האשה והיא יושבת בשדה ומנוח אישה אין עמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 10

And the woman made haste, and ran, and showed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.

- Elle courut promptement donner cette nouvelle à son mari, et lui dit: Voici, l'homme qui était venu l'autre jour vers moi m'est apparu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐτάχυνεν ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἔδραμεν καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν τω̨̃ ἀνδρὶ αὐτη̃ς καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν ἰδοὺ ὠ̃πται πρός με ὁ ἀνήρ ὃς ἠ̃λθεν ἐν ἡμέρα̨ πρός με (Ⅲ)

- festinavit, et cucurrit ad virum suum : nuntiavitque ei, dicens : Ecce apparuit mihi vir, quem ante videram. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃13 ותמהר האשה ותרץ ותגד לאישה ותאמר אליו הנה נראה אלי האיש אשר בא ביום אלי ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 11

And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am.

- Manoach se leva, suivit sa femme, alla vers l'homme, et lui dit: Est-ce toi qui as parlé à cette femme? Il répondit: C'est moi. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ ἐπορεύθη Μανωε ὀπίσω τη̃ς γυναικὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ ἠ̃λθεν πρὸς τὸν ἄνδρα καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ εἰ σὺ εἰ̃ ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ λαλήσας πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ ἄγγελος ἐγώ (Ⅲ)

- Qui surrexit, et secutus est uxorem suam : veniensque ad virum, dixit ei : Tu es qui locutus es mulieri ? Et ille respondit : Ego sum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃13 ויקם וילך מנוח אחרי אשתו ויבא אל האיש ויאמר לו האתה האיש אשר דברת אל האשה ויאמר אני ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 12

And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?

- Manoach dit: Maintenant, si ta parole s'accomplit, que faudra-t-il observer à l'égard de l'enfant, et qu'y aura-t-il à faire? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μανωε νυ̃ν ἐλεύσεται ὁ λόγος σου τίς ἔσται κρίσις του̃ παιδίου καὶ τὰ ποιήματα αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Cui Manue : Quando, inquit, sermo tuus fuerit expletus, quid vis ut faciat puer ? aut a quo se observare debebit ?\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃13 ויאמר מנוח עתה יבא דבריך מה יהיה משפט הנער ומעשהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 13

And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

- L'ange de l'Éternel répondit à Manoach: La femme s'abstiendra de tout ce que je lui ai dit. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου πρὸς Μανωε ἀπὸ πάντων ὡ̃ν εἴρηκα πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα φυλάξεται (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque angelus Domini ad Manue : Ab omnibus, quæ locutus sum uxori tuæ, abstineat se, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃13 ויאמר מלאך יהוה אל מנוח מכל אשר אמרתי אל האשה תשמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 14

She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.

- Elle ne goûtera d'aucun produit de la vigne, elle ne boira ni vin ni liqueur forte, et elle ne mangera rien d'impur; elle observera tout ce que je lui ai prescrit. (Ⅱ)

- ἀπὸ παντός ὃ ἐκπορεύεται ἐξ ἀμπέλου του̃ οἴνου οὐ φάγεται καὶ οἰ̃νον καὶ σικερα μέθυσμα μὴ πιέτω καὶ πα̃ν ἀκάθαρτον μὴ φαγέτω πάντα ὅσα ἐνετειλάμην αὐτη̨̃ φυλάξεται (Ⅲ)

- et quidquid ex vinea nascitur, non comedat : vinum et siceram non bibat ; nullo vescatur immundo : et quod ei præcepi, impleat atque custodiat. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃13 מכל אשר יצא מגפן היין לא תאכל ויין ושכר אל תשת וכל טמאה אל תאכל כל אשר צויתיה תשמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 15

And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.

- Manoach dit à l'ange de l'Éternel: Permets-nous de te retenir, et de t'apprêter un chevreau. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μανωε πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον κυρίου κατάσχωμεν ὡ̃δέ σε καὶ ποιήσωμεν ἐνώπιόν σου ἔριφον αἰγω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Manue ad angelum Domini : Obsecro te ut acquiescas precibus meis, et faciamus tibi hædum de capris. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃13 ויאמר מנוח אל מלאך יהוה נעצרה נא אותך ונעשה לפניך גדי עזים ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 16

And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

- L'ange de l'Éternel répondit à Manoach: Quand tu me retiendrais, je ne mangerais pas de ton mets; mais si tu veux faire un holocauste, tu l'offriras à l'Éternel. Manoach ne savait point que ce fût un ange de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου πρὸς Μανωε ἐὰν κατάσχη̨ς με οὐ φάγομαι ἀπὸ τω̃ν ἄρτων σου καὶ ἐὰν ποιήση̨ς ὁλοκαύτωμα τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἀνοίσεις αὐτό ὅτι οὐκ ἔγνω Μανωε ὅτι ἄγγελος κυρίου αὐτός (Ⅲ)

- Cui respondit angelus : Si me cogis, non comedam panes tuos : si autem vis holocaustum facere, offer illud Domino. Et nesciebat Manue quod angelus Domini esset. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃13 ויאמר מלאך יהוה אל מנוח אם תעצרני לא אכל בלחמך ואם תעשה עלה ליהוה תעלנה כי לא ידע מנוח כי מלאך יהוה הוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 17

And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honor?

- Et Manoach dit à l'ange de l'Éternel: Quel est ton nom, afin que nous te rendions gloire, quand ta parole s'accomplira? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μανωε πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον κυρίου τί τὸ ὄνομά σοι ὅτι ἔλθοι τὸ ῥη̃μά σου καὶ δοξάσομέν σε (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque ad eum : Quod est tibi nomen, ut, si sermo tuus fuerit expletus, honoremus te ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃13 ויאמר מנוח אל מלאך יהוה מי שמך כי יבא *דבריך **דברך וכבדנוך ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 18

And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?

- L'ange de l'Éternel lui répondit: Pourquoi demandes-tu mon nom? Il est merveilleux. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου εἰς τί του̃το ἐρωτα̨̃ς τὸ ὄνομά μου καὶ αὐτό ἐστιν θαυμαστόν (Ⅲ)

- Cui ille respondit : Cur quæris nomen meum, quod est mirabile ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃13 ויאמר לו‪[Q]‬‪[n]‬‪[p]‬ מלאך יהוה למה זה תשאל לשמי והוא פלאי‪[Q]‬‪[c]‬‪[n]‬ ס‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 19

So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.

- Manoach prit le chevreau et l'offrande, et fit un sacrifice à l'Éternel sur le rocher. Il s'opéra un prodige, pendant que Manoach et sa femme regardaient. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν Μανωε τὸν ἔριφον τω̃ν αἰγω̃ν καὶ τὴν θυσίαν καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ἐπὶ τὴν πέτραν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ διεχώρισεν ποιη̃σαι καὶ Μανωε καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτου̃ βλέποντες (Ⅲ)

- Tulit itaque Manue hædum de capris, et libamenta, et posuit super petram, offerens Domino, qui facit mirabilia : ipse autem et uxor ejus intuebantur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃13 ויקח מנוח את גדי העזים ואת המנחה ויעל על הצור ליהוה ומפלא לעשות ומנוח ואשתו ראים ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 20

For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.

- Comme la flamme montait de dessus l'autel vers le ciel, l'ange de l'Éternel monta dans la flamme de l'autel. A cette vue, Manoach et sa femme tombèrent la face contre terre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ ἀναβη̃ναι τὴν φλόγα ἐπάνω του̃ θυσιαστηρίου ἕως του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ἀνέβη ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου ἐν τη̨̃ φλογὶ του̃ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ Μανωε καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτου̃ βλέποντες καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτω̃ν ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque ascenderet flamma altaris in cælum, angelus Domini pariter in flamma ascendit. Quod cum vidissent Manue et uxor ejus, proni ceciderunt in terram, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃13 ויהי בעלות הלהב מעל המזבח השמימה ויעל מלאך יהוה בלהב המזבח ומנוח ואשתו ראים ויפלו על פניהם ארצה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 21

But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.

- L'ange de l'Éternel n'apparut plus à Manoach et à sa femme. Alors Manoach comprit que c'était l'ange de l'Éternel, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐ προσέθηκεν ἔτι ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου ὀφθη̃ναι πρὸς Μανωε καὶ πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα αὐτου̃ τότε ἔγνω Μανωε ὅτι ἄγγελος κυρίου οὑ̃τος (Ⅲ)

- et ultra eis non apparuit angelus Domini. Statimque intellexit Manue angelum Domini esse, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃13 ולא יסף עוד מלאך יהוה להראה אל מנוח ואל אשתו אז ידע מנוח כי מלאך יהוה הוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 22

And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

- et il dit à sa femme: Nous allons mourir, car nous avons vu Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μανωε πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα αὐτου̃ θανάτω̨ ἀποθανούμεθα ὅτι θεὸν εἴδομεν (Ⅲ)

- et dixit ad uxorem suam : Morte moriemur, quia vidimus Deum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃13 ויאמר מנוח אל אשתו מות נמות כי אלהים ראינו ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 23

But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.

- Sa femme lui répondit: Si l'Éternel eût voulu nous faire mourir, il n'aurait pas pris de nos mains l'holocauste et l'offrande, il ne nous aurait pas fait voir tout cela, et il ne nous aurait pas maintenant fait entendre pareilles choses. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτου̃ εἰ ἤθελεν ὁ κύριος θανατω̃σαι ἡμα̃ς οὐκ ἂν ἔλαβεν ἐκ χειρὸς ἡμω̃ν ὁλοκαύτωμα καὶ θυσίαν καὶ οὐκ ἂν ἔδειξεν ἡμι̃ν ταυ̃τα πάντα καὶ καθὼς καιρὸς οὐκ ἂν ἠκούτισεν ἡμα̃ς ταυ̃τα (Ⅲ)

- Cui respondit mulier : Si Dominus nos vellet occidere, de manibus nostris holocaustum et libamenta non suscepisset, nec ostendisset nobis hæc omnia, neque ea quæ sunt ventura dixisset.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃13 ותאמר לו אשתו לו חפץ יהוה להמיתנו לא לקח מידנו עלה ומנחה ולא הראנו את כל אלה וכעת לא השמיענו כזאת ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 24

And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.

- La femme enfanta un fils, et lui donna le nom de Samson. L'enfant grandit, et l'Éternel le bénit. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔτεκεν ἡ γυνὴ υἱὸν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Σαμψων καὶ ἡδρύνθη τὸ παιδάριον καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτὸ κύριος (Ⅲ)

- Peperit itaque filium, et vocavit nomen ejus Samson. Crevitque puer, et benedixit ei Dominus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃13 ותלד האשה בן ותקרא את שמו שמשון ויגדל הנער ויברכהו יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

13. 25

And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

- Et l'esprit de l'Éternel commença à l'agiter à Machané Dan, entre Tsorea et Eschthaol. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤρξατο πνευ̃μα κυρίου συνεκπορεύεσθαι αὐτω̨̃ ἐν παρεμβολη̨̃ Δαν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Σαραα καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Εσθαολ (Ⅲ)

- Cœpitque spiritus Domini esse cum eo in castris Dan inter Saraa et Esthaol. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃13 ותחל רוח יהוה לפעמו במחנה דן בין צרעה ובין אשתאל פ‬ (Ⅴ)
