7. 1  
Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.
- Jerubbaal, qui est Gédéon, et tout le peuple qui était avec lui, se levèrent de bon matin, et campèrent près de la source de Harod. Le camp de Madian était au nord de Gédéon, vers la colline de Moré, dans la vallée. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὤρθρισεν Ιαρβαλ αὐτός ἐστιν Γεδεων καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ πηγὴν Αραδ καὶ παρεμβολὴ Μαδιαμ ἠ̃ν αὐτω̨̃ ἀπὸ βορρα̃ ἀπὸ Γαβααθ Αμωρα ἐν κοιλάδι (Ⅲ)
- Igitur Jerobaal qui et Gedeon, de nocte consurgens, et omnis populus cum eo, venit ad fontem qui vocatur Harad. Erant autem castra Madian in valle ad septentrionalem plagam collis excelsi. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃7   וישכם ירבעל הוא גדעון וכל העם אשר אתו ויחנו על עין חרד ומחנה מדין היה לו מצפון מגבעת המורה בעמק ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 2  
And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.
- L'Éternel dit à Gédéon: Le peuple que tu as avec toi est trop nombreux pour que je livre Madian entre ses mains; il pourrait en tirer gloire contre moi, et dire: C'est ma main qui m'a délivré. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων πολὺς ὁ λαὸς ὁ μετὰ σου̃ ὥστε μὴ παραδου̃ναί με τὴν Μαδιαμ ἐν χειρὶ αὐτω̃ν μήποτε καυχήσηται Ισραηλ ἐπ' ἐμὲ λέγων ἡ χείρ μου ἔσωσέν με (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque Dominus ad Gedeon : Multus tecum est populus, nec tradetur Madian in manus ejus : ne glorietur contra me Israël, et dicat : Meis viribus liberatus sum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃7   ויאמר יהוה אל גדעון רב העם אשר אתך מתתי את מדין בידם פן יתפאר עלי ישראל לאמר ידי הושיעה לי ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 3  
Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.
- Publie donc ceci aux oreilles du peuple: Que celui qui est craintif et qui a peur s'en retourne et s'éloigne de la montagne de Galaad. Vingt-deux mille hommes parmi le peuple s'en retournèrent, et il en resta dix mille. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ νυ̃ν λάλησον δὴ ἐν ὠσὶν του̃ λαου̃ λέγων τίς ὁ φοβούμενος καὶ δειλός ἐπιστρεφέτω καὶ ἐκχωρείτω ἀπὸ ὄρους Γαλααδ καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ του̃ λαου̃ εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδες καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες ὑπελείφθησαν (Ⅲ)
- Loquere ad populum, et cunctis audientibus prædica : Qui formidolosus et timidus est, revertatur. Recesseruntque de monte Galaad, et reversi sunt de populo viginti duo millia virorum, et tantum decem millia remanserunt. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃7   ועתה קרא נא באזני העם לאמר מי ירא וחרד ישב ויצפר מהר הגלעד וישב מן העם עשרים ושנים אלף ועשרת אלפים נשארו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 4  
And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
- L'Éternel dit à Gédéon: Le peuple est encore trop nombreux. Fais-les descendre vers l'eau, et là je t'en ferai le triage; celui dont je te dirai: Que celui-ci aille avec toi, ira avec toi; et celui dont je te dirai: Que celui-ci n'aille pas avec toi, n'ira pas avec toi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων ἔτι ὁ λαὸς πολύς κατένεγκον αὐτοὺς πρὸς τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐκκαθαρω̃ σοι αὐτὸν ἐκει̃ καὶ ἔσται ὃν ἐὰν εἴπω πρὸς σέ οὑ̃τος πορεύσεται σὺν σοί αὐτὸς πορεύσεται σὺν σοί καὶ πα̃ν ὃν ἐὰν εἴπω πρὸς σέ οὑ̃τος οὐ πορεύσεται μετὰ σου̃ αὐτὸς οὐ πορεύσεται μετὰ σου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque Dominus ad Gedeon : Adhuc populus multus est : duc eos ad aquas et ibi probabo illos : et de quo dixero tibi ut tecum vadat, ipse pergat ; quem ire prohibuero, revertatur. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃7   ויאמר יהוה אל גדעון עוד העם רב הורד אותם אל המים ואצרפנו לך שם והיה אשר אמר אליך זה ילך אתך הוא ילך אתך וכל אשר אמר אליך זה לא ילך עמך הוא לא ילך ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 5  
So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
- Gédéon fit descendre le peuple vers l'eau, et l'Éternel dit à Gédéon: Tous ceux qui laperont l'eau avec la langue comme lape le chien, tu les sépareras de tous ceux qui se mettront à genoux pour boire. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ κατήνεγκεν τὸν λαὸν πρὸς τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων πα̃ς ὃς ἂν λάψη̨ τη̨̃ γλώσση̨ αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ του̃ ὕδατος ὡς ἐὰν λάψη̨ ὁ κύων στήσεις αὐτὸν κατὰ μόνας καὶ πα̃ς ὃς ἐὰν κλίνη̨ ἐπὶ τὰ γόνατα αὐτου̃ πιει̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Cumque descendisset populus ad aquas, dixit Dominus ad Gedeon : Qui lingua lambuerint aquas, sicut solent canes lambere, separabis eos seorsum : qui autem curvatis genibus biberint, in altera parte erunt. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃7   ויורד את העם אל המים סויאמר יהוה אל גדעון כל אשר ילק בלשונו מן המים כאשר ילק הכלב תציג אותו לבד וכל אשר יכרע על ברכיו לשתות ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 6  
And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
- Ceux qui lapèrent l'eau en la portant à la bouche avec leur main furent au nombre de trois cents hommes, et tout le reste du peuple se mit à genoux pour boire. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς τω̃ν λαψάντων ἐν χειρὶ αὐτω̃ν πρὸς τὸ στόμα αὐτω̃ν τριακόσιοι ἄνδρες καὶ πα̃ν τὸ κατάλοιπον του̃ λαου̃ ἔκλιναν ἐπὶ τὰ γόνατα αὐτω̃ν πιει̃ν ὕδωρ (Ⅲ)
- Fuit itaque numerus eorum qui manu ad os projiciente lambuerunt aquas, trecenti viri : omnis autem reliqua multitudo flexo poplite biberat. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃7   ויהי מספר המלקקים בידם אל פיהם שלש מאות איש וכל יתר העם כרעו על ברכיהם לשתות מים ס‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 7  
And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
- Et l'Éternel dit à Gédéon: C'est par les trois cents hommes qui ont lapé, que je vous sauverai et que je livrerai Madian entre tes mains. Que tout le reste du peuple s'en aille chacun chez soi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων ἐν τοι̃ς τριακοσίοις ἀνδράσιν τοι̃ς λάψασιν σώσω ὑμα̃ς καὶ δώσω τὴν Μαδιαμ ἐν χειρί σου καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς πορεύσονται ἀνὴρ εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Et ait Dominus ad Gedeon : In trecentis viris qui lambuerunt aquas, liberabo vos, et tradam in manu tua Madian : omnis autem reliqua multitudo revertatur in locum suum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃7   ויאמר יהוה אל גדעון בשלש מאות האיש המלקקים אושיע אתכם ונתתי את מדין בידך וכל העם ילכו איש למקמו ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 8  
So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.
- On prit les vivres du peuple et ses trompettes. Puis Gédéon renvoya tous les hommes d'Israël chacun dans sa tente, et il retint les trois cents hommes. Le camp de Madian était au-dessous de lui dans la vallée. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔλαβον τὸν ἐπισιτισμὸν του̃ λαου̃ ἐν χειρὶ αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὰς κερατίνας αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὸν πάντα ἄνδρα Ισραηλ ἐξαπέστειλεν ἄνδρα εἰς σκηνὴν αὐτου̃ καὶ τοὺς τριακοσίους ἄνδρας κατίσχυσεν καὶ ἡ παρεμβολὴ Μαδιαμ ἠ̃σαν αὐτου̃ ὑποκάτω ἐν τη̨̃ κοιλάδι (Ⅲ)
- Sumptis itaque pro numero cibariis et tubis, omnem reliquam multitudinem abire præcepit ad tabernacula sua : et ipse cum trecentis viris se certamini dedit. Castra autem Madian erant subter in valle.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃7   ויקחו את צדה העם בידם ואת שופרתיהם ואת כל איש ישראל שלח איש לאהליו ובשלש מאות האיש החזיק ומחנה מדין היה לו מתחת בעמק פ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 9  
And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.
- L'Éternel dit à Gédéon pendant la nuit: Lève-toi, descends au camp, car je l'ai livré entre tes mains. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τη̨̃ νυκτὶ ἐκείνη̨ καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτὸν κύριος ἀναστὰς κατάβηθι ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ ὅτι παρέδωκα αὐτὴν ἐν τη̨̃ χειρί σου (Ⅲ)
- Eadem nocte dixit Dominus ad eum : Surge, et descende in castra : quia tradidi eos in manu tua. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃7   ויהי בלילה ההוא ויאמר אליו יהוה קום רד במחנה כי נתתיו בידך ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 10  
But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host:
- Si tu crains de descendre, descends-y avec Pura, ton serviteur. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ φοβη̨̃ σὺ καταβη̃ναι κατάβηθι σὺ καὶ Φαρα τὸ παιδάριόν σου εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν (Ⅲ)
- Sin autem solus ire formidas, descendat tecum Phara puer tuus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃7   ואם ירא אתה לרדת רד אתה ופרה נערך אל המחנה ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 11  
And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host.
- Tu écouteras ce qu'ils diront, et après cela tes mains seront fortifiées: descends donc au camp. Il descendit avec Pura, son serviteur, jusqu'aux avant-postes du camp. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀκούση̨ τί λαλήσουσιν καὶ μετὰ του̃το ἰσχύσουσιν αἱ χει̃ρές σου καὶ καταβήση̨ ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ καὶ κατέβη αὐτὸς καὶ Φαρα τὸ παιδάριον αὐτου̃ πρὸς ἀρχὴν τω̃ν πεντήκοντα οἳ ἠ̃σαν ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ (Ⅲ)
- Et cum audieris quid loquantur, tunc confortabuntur manus tuæ, et securior ad hostium castra descendes. Descendit ergo ipse et Phara puer ejus in partem castrorum, ubi erant armatorum vigiliæ. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃7   ושמעת מה ידברו ואחר תחזקנה ידיך וירדת במחנה וירד הוא ופרה נערו אל קצה החמשים אשר במחנה ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 12  
And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.
- Madian, Amalek, et tous les fils de l'Orient, étaient répandus dans la vallée comme une multitude de sauterelles, et leurs chameaux étaient innombrables comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ Μαδιαμ καὶ Αμαληκ καὶ πάντες υἱοὶ ἀνατολω̃ν βεβλημένοι ἐν τη̨̃ κοιλάδι ὡσεὶ ἀκρὶς εἰς πλη̃θος καὶ ται̃ς καμήλοις αὐτω̃ν οὐκ ἠ̃ν ἀριθμός ἀλλὰ ἠ̃σαν ὡς ἡ ἄμμος ἡ ἐπὶ χείλους τη̃ς θαλάσσης εἰς πλη̃θος (Ⅲ)
- Madian autem et Amalec, et omnes orientales populi, fusi jacebant in valle, ut locustarum multitudo : cameli quoque innumerabiles erant, sicut arena quæ jacet in littore maris. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃7   ומדין ועמלק וכל בני קדם נפלים בעמק כארבה לרב ולגמליהם אין מספר כחול שעל שפת הים לרב ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 13  
And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along.
- Gédéon arriva; et voici, un homme racontait à son camarade un songe. Il disait: J'ai eu un songe; et voici, un gâteau de pain d'orge roulait dans le camp de Madian; il est venu heurter jusqu'à la tente, et elle est tombée; il l'a retournée sens dessus dessous, et elle a été renversée. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Γεδεων καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ἐξηγούμενος τω̨̃ πλησίον αὐτου̃ ἐνύπνιον καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐνύπνιον ἰδοὺ ἐνυπνιασάμην καὶ ἰδοὺ μαγὶς ἄρτου κριθίνου στρεφομένη ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ Μαδιαμ καὶ ἠ̃λθεν ἕως τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτήν καὶ ἔπεσεν καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν αὐτὴν ἄνω καὶ ἔπεσεν ἡ σκηνή (Ⅲ)
- Cumque venisset Gedeon, narrabat aliquis somnium proximo suo : et in hunc modum referebat quod viderat : Vidi somnium, et videbatur mihi quasi subcinericius panis ex hordeo volvi, et in castra Madian descendere : cumque pervenisset ad tabernaculum, percussit illud, atque subvertit, et terræ funditus coæquavit. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃7   ויבא גדעון והנה איש מספר לרעהו חלום ויאמר הנה חלום חלמתי והנה *צלול **צליל לחם שערים מתהפך במחנה מדין ויבא עד האהל ויכהו ויפל ויהפכהו למעלה ונפל האהל ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 14  
And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.
- Son camarade répondit, et dit: Ce n'est pas autre chose que l'épée de Gédéon, fils de Joas, homme d'Israël; Dieu a livré entre ses mains Madian et tout le camp. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ πλησίον αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν οὐκ ἔστιν αὕτη εἰ μὴ ῥομφαία Γεδεων υἱου̃ Ιωας ἀνδρὸς Ισραηλ παρέδωκεν ὁ θεὸς ἐν χειρὶ αὐτου̃ τὴν Μαδιαμ καὶ πα̃σαν τὴν παρεμβολήν (Ⅲ)
- Respondit is, cui loquebatur : Non est hoc aliud, nisi gladius Gedeonis filii Joas viri Israëlitæ : tradidit enim Dominus in manus ejus Madian, et omnia castra ejus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃7   ויען רעהו ויאמר אין זאת בלתי אם חרב גדעון בן יואש איש ישראל נתן האלהים בידו את מדין ואת כל המחנה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 15  
And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.
- Lorsque Gédéon eut entendu le récit du songe et son explication, il se prosterna, revint au camp d'Israël, et dit: Levez-vous, car l'Éternel a livré entre vos mains le camp de Madian. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν Γεδεων τὴν ἐξήγησιν του̃ ἐνυπνίου καὶ τὴν σύγκρισιν αὐτου̃ καὶ προσεκύνησεν κυρίω̨ καὶ ὑπέστρεψεν εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν Ισραηλ καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἀνάστητε ὅτι παρέδωκεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ ἡμω̃ν τὴν παρεμβολὴν Μαδιαμ (Ⅲ)
- Cumque audisset Gedeon somnium, et interpretationem ejus, adoravit : et reversus est ad castra Israël, et ait : Surgite, tradidit enim Dominus in manus nostras castra Madian. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃7   ויהי כשמע גדעון את מספר החלום ואת שברו וישתחו וישב אל מחנה ישראל ויאמר קומו כי נתן יהוה בידכם את מחנה מדין ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 16  
And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.
- Il divisa en trois corps les trois cents hommes, et il leur remit à tous des trompettes et des cruches vides, avec des flambeaux dans les cruches. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ διει̃λεν τοὺς τριακοσίους ἄνδρας εἰς τρει̃ς ἀρχὰς καὶ ἔδωκεν κερατίνας ἐν χειρὶ πάντων καὶ ὑδρίας κενὰς καὶ λαμπάδας ἐν ται̃ς ὑδρίαις (Ⅲ)
- Divisitque trecentos viros in tres partes, et dedit tubas in manibus eorum, lagenasque vacuas, ac lampades in medio lagenarum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃7   ויחץ את שלש מאות האיש שלשה ראשים ויתן שופרות ביד כלם וכדים רקים ולפדים בתוך הכדים ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 17  
And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
- Il leur dit: Vous me regarderez et vous ferez comme moi. Dès que j'aborderai le camp, vous ferez ce que je ferai; (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτούς ἀπ' ἐμου̃ ὄψεσθε καὶ οὕτως ποιήσετε καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ εἰσπορεύομαι ἐν ἀρχη̨̃ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς καὶ ἔσται καθὼς ἂν ποιήσω οὕτως ποιήσετε (Ⅲ)
- Et dixit ad eos : Quod me facere videritis, hoc facite : ingrediar partem castrorum, et quod fecero, sectamini. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃7   ויאמר אליהם ממני תראו וכן תעשו והנה אנכי בא בקצה המחנה והיה כאשר אעשה כן תעשון ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 18  
When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
- et quand je sonnerai de la trompette, moi et tous ceux qui seront avec moi, vous sonnerez aussi de la trompette tout autour du camp, et vous direz: Pour l'Éternel et pour Gédéon! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ σαλπιω̃ ἐν τη̨̃ κερατίνη̨ ἐγώ καὶ πάντες μετ' ἐμου̃ σαλπιει̃τε ἐν ται̃ς κερατίναις κύκλω̨ ὅλης τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς καὶ ἐρει̃τε τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ τω̨̃ Γεδεων (Ⅲ)
- Quando personuerit tuba in manu mea, vos quoque per castrorum circuitum clangite, et conclamate : Domino et Gedeoni.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃7   ותקעתי בשופר אנכי וכל אשר אתי ותקעתם בשופרות גם אתם סביבות כל המחנה ואמרתם ליהוה ולגדעון פ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 19  
So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
- Gédéon et les cent hommes qui étaient avec lui arrivèrent aux abords du camp au commencement de la veille du milieu, comme on venait de placer les gardes. Ils sonnèrent de la trompette, et brisèrent les cruches qu'ils avaient à la main. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰση̃λθεν Γεδεων καὶ οἱ ἑκατὸν ἄνδρες οἱ μετ' αὐτου̃ ἐν ἀρχη̨̃ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς ἐν ἀρχη̨̃ τη̃ς φυλακη̃ς μέσης καὶ ἐγείροντες ἤγειραν τοὺς φυλάσσοντας καὶ ἐσάλπισαν ἐν ται̃ς κερατίναις καὶ ἐξετίναξαν τὰς ὑδρίας τὰς ἐν ται̃ς χερσὶν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Ingressusque est Gedeon, et trecenti viri qui erant cum eo, in partem castrorum, incipientibus vigiliis noctis mediæ : et custodibus suscitatis, cœperunt buccinis clangere, et complodere inter se lagenas. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃7   ויבא גדעון ומאה איש אשר אתו בקצה המחנה ראש האשמרת התיכונה אך הקם הקימו את השמרים ויתקעו בשופרות ונפוץ הכדים אשר בידם ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 20  
And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
- Les trois corps sonnèrent de la trompette, et brisèrent les cruches; ils saisirent de la main gauche les flambeaux et de la main droite les trompettes pour sonner, et ils s'écrièrent: Épée pour l'Éternel et pour Gédéon! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐσάλπισαν αἱ τρει̃ς ἀρχαὶ ἐν ται̃ς κερατίναις καὶ συνέτριψαν τὰς ὑδρίας καὶ ἐκράτησαν ἐν χερσὶν ἀριστεραι̃ς αὐτω̃ν τὰς λαμπάδας καὶ ἐν χερσὶν δεξιαι̃ς αὐτω̃ν τὰς κερατίνας του̃ σαλπίζειν καὶ ἀνέκραξαν ῥομφαία τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ τω̨̃ Γεδεων (Ⅲ)
- Cumque per gyrum castrorum in tribus personarent locis, et hydrias confregissent, tenuerunt sinistris manibus lampades, et dextris sonantes tubas, clamaveruntque : Gladius Domini et Gedeonis : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃7   ויתקעו שלשת הראשים בשופרות וישברו הכדים ויחזיקו ביד שמאולם‪[U]‬ בלפדים וביד ימינם השופרות לתקוע ויקראו חרב ליהוה ולגדעון ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 21  
And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.
- Ils restèrent chacun à sa place autour du camp, et tout le camp se mit à courir, à pousser des cris, et à prendre la fuite. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔστησαν ἀνὴρ ἐφ' ἑαυτω̨̃ κύκλω̨ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς καὶ ἔδραμεν πα̃σα ἡ παρεμβολὴ καὶ ἐσήμαναν καὶ ἔφυγαν (Ⅲ)
- stantes singuli in loco suo per circuitum castrorum hostilium. Omnia itaque castra turbata sunt, et vociferantes ululantesque fugerunt : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃7   ויעמדו איש תחתיו סביב למחנה וירץ כל המחנה ויריעו *ויניסו **וינוסו ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 22  
And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.
- Les trois cents hommes sonnèrent encore de la trompette; et, dans tout le camp, l'Éternel leur fit tourner l'épée les uns contre les autres. Le camp s'enfuit jusqu'à Beth Schitta vers Tseréra, jusqu'au bord d'Abel Mehola près de Tabbath. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐσάλπισαν ἐν ται̃ς τριακοσίαις κερατίναις καὶ ἔθηκεν κύριος τὴν ῥομφαίαν ἀνδρὸς ἐν τω̨̃ πλησίον αὐτου̃ ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ καὶ ἔφυγεν ἡ παρεμβολὴ ἕως Βηθσεεδτα Γαραγαθα ἕως χείλους Αβωμεουλα ἐπὶ Ταβαθ (Ⅲ)
- et nihilominus insistebant trecenti viri buccinis personantes. Immisitque Dominus gladium omnibus castris, et mutua se cæde truncabant, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃7   ויתקעו שלש מאות השופרות וישם יהוה את חרב איש ברעהו ובכל המחנה וינס המחנה עד בית השטה צררתה עד שפת אבל מחולה על טבת ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 23  
And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.
- Les hommes d'Israël se rassemblèrent, ceux de Nephthali, d'Aser et de tout Manassé, et ils poursuivirent Madian. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐβόησαν ἀνὴρ Ισραηλ ἀπὸ Νεφθαλι καὶ ἀπὸ Ασηρ καὶ ἀπὸ παντὸς Μανασση καὶ ἐδίωξαν ὀπίσω Μαδιαμ (Ⅲ)
- fugientes usque ad Bethsetta, et crepidinem Abelmehula in Tebbath. Conclamantes autem viri Israël de Nephthali, et Aser, et omni Manasse, persequebantur Madian. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃7   ויצעק איש ישראל מנפתלי ומן אשר ומן כל מנשה וירדפו אחרי מדין ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 24  
And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.
- Gédéon envoya des messagers dans toute la montagne d'Éphraïm, pour dire: Descendez à la rencontre de Madian, et coupez-leur le passage des eaux jusqu'à Beth Bara et celui du Jourdain. Tous les hommes d'Éphraïm se rassemblèrent et ils s'emparèrent du passage des eaux jusqu'à Beth Bara et de celui du Jourdain. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀγγέλους ἀπέστειλεν Γεδεων ἐν παντὶ ὄρει Εφραιμ λέγων κατάβητε εἰς συνάντησιν Μαδιαμ καὶ καταλάβετε ἑαυτοι̃ς τὸ ὕδωρ ἕως Βαιθηρα καὶ τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ ἐβόησεν πα̃ς ἀνὴρ Εφραιμ καὶ προκατελάβοντο τὸ ὕδωρ ἕως Βαιθηρα καὶ τὸν Ιορδάνην (Ⅲ)
- Misitque Gedeon nuntios in omnem montem Ephraim, dicens : Descendite in occursum Madian, et occupate aquas usque Bethbera atque Jordanem. Clamavitque omnis Ephraim, et præoccupavit aquas atque Jordanem usque Bethbera. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃7   ומלאכים שלח גדעון בכל הר אפרים לאמר רדו לקראת מדין ולכדו להם את המים עד בית ברה ואת הירדן ויצעק כל איש אפרים וילכדו את המים עד בית ברה ואת הירדן ‬ (Ⅴ)
7. 25  
And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan.
- Ils saisirent deux chefs de Madian, Oreb et Zeeb; ils tuèrent Oreb au rocher d'Oreb, et ils tuèrent Zeeb au pressoir de Zeeb. Ils poursuivirent Madian, et ils apportèrent les têtes d'Oreb et de Zeeb à Gédéon de l'autre côté du Jourdain. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ συνέλαβον τοὺς ἄρχοντας Μαδιαμ καὶ τὸν Ωρηβ καὶ τὸν Ζηβ καὶ ἀπέκτειναν τὸν Ωρηβ ἐν Σουρ καὶ τὸν Ζηβ ἀπέκτειναν ἐν Ιακεφζηφ καὶ κατεδίωξαν Μαδιαμ καὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν Ωρηβ καὶ Ζηβ ἤνεγκαν πρὸς Γεδεων ἀπὸ πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου (Ⅲ)
- Apprehensosque duos viros Madian, Oreb et Zeb, interfecit Oreb in petra Oreb, Zeb vero in torculari Zeb. Et persecuti sunt Madian, capita Oreb et Zeb portantes ad Gedeon trans fluenta Jordanis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃7   וילכדו שני שרי מדין את ערב ואת זאב ויהרגו את עורב בצור עורב ואת זאב הרגו ביקב זאב וירדפו אל מדין וראש ערב וזאב הביאו אל גדעון מעבר לירדן ‬ (Ⅴ)
