4. 1

And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.

- Les enfants d'Israël firent encore ce qui déplaît à l'Éternel, après qu'Éhud fut mort. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ προσέθεντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ποιη̃σαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ Αωδ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Addideruntque filii Israël facere malum in conspectu Domini post mortem Aod, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃4 ויספו בני ישראל לעשות הרע בעיני יהוה ואהוד מת ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 2

And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

- Et l'Éternel les vendit entre les mains de Jabin, roi de Canaan, qui régnait à Hatsor. Le chef de son armée était Sisera, et habitait à Haroscheth Goïm. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέδοτο αὐτοὺς κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Ιαβιν βασιλέως Χανααν ὃς ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ασωρ καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τη̃ς δυνάμεως αὐτου̃ Σισαρα καὶ αὐτὸς κατώ̨κει ἐν Αρισωθ τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- et tradidit illos Dominus in manus Jabin regis Chanaan, qui regnavit in Asor : habuitque ducem exercitus sui nomine Sisaram, ipse autem habitabat in Haroseth gentium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃4 וימכרם יהוה ביד יבין מלך כנען אשר מלך בחצור ושר צבאו סיסרא והוא יושב בחרשת הגוים ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 3

And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.

- Les enfants d'Israël crièrent à l'Éternel, car Jabin avait neuf cents chars de fer, et il opprimait avec violence les enfants d'Israël depuis vingt ans. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκέκραξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πρὸς κύριον ὅτι ἐννακόσια ἅρματα σιδηρα̃ ἠ̃ν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ αὐτὸς ἔθλιψεν τὸν Ισραηλ κατὰ κράτος εἴκοσι ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Clamaveruntque filii Israël ad Dominum : nongentos enim habebat falcatos currus, et per viginti annos vehementer oppresserat eos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃4 ויצעקו בני ישראל אל יהוה כי תשע מאות רכב ברזל לו והוא לחץ את בני ישראל בחזקה עשרים שנה ס‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 4

And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

- Dans ce temps-là, Débora, prophétesse, femme de Lappidoth, était juge en Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Δεββωρα γυνὴ προφη̃τις γυνὴ Λαφιδωθ αὐτὴ ἔκρινεν τὸν Ισραηλ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Erat autem Debbora prophetis uxor Lapidoth, quæ judicabat populum in illo tempore. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃4 ודבורה אשה נביאה אשת לפידות היא שפטה את ישראל בעת ההיא ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 5

And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.

- Elle siégeait sous le palmier de Débora, entre Rama et Béthel, dans la montagne d'Éphraïm; et les enfants d'Israël montaient vers elle pour être jugés. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ αὐτὴ ἐκάθητο ὑπὸ φοίνικα Δεββωρα ἀνὰ μέσον τη̃ς Ραμα καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τη̃ς Βαιθηλ ἐν τω̨̃ ὄρει Εφραιμ καὶ ἀνέβαινον πρὸς αὐτὴν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ εἰς κρίσιν (Ⅲ)

- Et sedebat sub palma, quæ nomine illius vocabatur, inter Rama et Bethel in monte Ephraim : ascendebantque ad eam filii Israël in omne judicium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃4 והיא יושבת תחת תמר דבורה בין הרמה ובין בית אל בהר אפרים ויעלו אליה בני ישראל למשפט ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 6

And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?

- Elle envoya appeler Barak, fils d'Abinoam, de Kédesch Nephthali, et elle lui dit: N'est-ce pas l'ordre qu'a donné l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël? Va, dirige-toi sur le mont Thabor, et prends avec toi dix mille hommes des enfants de Nephthali et des enfants de Zabulon; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Δεββωρα καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸν Βαρακ υἱὸν Αβινεεμ ἐκ Καδης Νεφθαλι καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν οὐχὶ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ σοὶ καὶ ἀπελεύση̨ εἰς ὄρος Θαβωρ καὶ λήμψη̨ μετὰ σεαυτου̃ δέκα χιλιάδας ἀνδρω̃ν ἐκ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Νεφθαλι καὶ ἐκ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ζαβουλων (Ⅲ)

- Quæ misit et vocavit Barac filium Abinoëm de Cedes Nephthali : dixitque ad eum : Præcepit tibi Dominus Deus Israël : Vade, et duc exercitum in montem Thabor, tollesque tecum decem millia pugnatorum de filiis Nephthali, et de filiis Zabulon : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃4 ותשלח ותקרא לברק בן אבינעם מקדש נפתלי ותאמר אליו הלא צוה יהוה אלהי ישראל לך ומשכת בהר תבור ולקחת עמך עשרת אלפים איש מבני נפתלי ומבני זבלון ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 7

And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.

- j'attirerai vers toi, au torrent de Kison, Sisera, chef de l'armée de Jabin, avec ses chars et ses troupes, et je le livrerai entre tes mains. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπάξω πρὸς σὲ εἰς τὸν χειμάρρουν Κισων τὸν Σισαρα ἄρχοντα τη̃ς δυνάμεως Ιαβιν καὶ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτου̃ καὶ τὸ πλη̃θος αὐτου̃ καὶ παραδώσω αὐτὸν εἰς τὰς χει̃ράς σου (Ⅲ)

- ego autem adducam ad te in loco torrentis Cison, Sisaram principem exercitus Jabin, et currus ejus, atque omnem multitudinem, et tradam eos in manu tua. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃4 ומשכתי אליך אל נחל קישון את סיסרא שר צבא יבין ואת רכבו ואת המונו ונתתיהו בידך ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 8

And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.

- Barak lui dit: Si tu viens avec moi, j'irai; mais si tu ne viens pas avec moi, je n'irai pas. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Βαρακ ἐὰν πορευθη̨̃ς μετ' ἐμου̃ πορεύσομαι καὶ ἐὰν μὴ πορευθη̨̃ς οὐ πορεύσομαι ὅτι οὐκ οἰ̃δα τὴν ἡμέραν ἐν ἡ̨̃ εὐοδοι̃ τὸν ἄγγελον κύριος μετ' ἐμου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque ad eam Barac : Si venis mecum, vadam : si nolueris venire mecum, non pergam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃4 ויאמר אליה ברק אם תלכי עמי והלכתי ואם לא תלכי עמי לא אלך ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 9

And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honor; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

- Elle répondit: J'irai bien avec toi; mais tu n'auras point de gloire sur la voie où tu marches, car l'Éternel livrera Sisera entre les mains d'une femme. Et Débora se leva, et elle se rendit avec Barak à Kédesch. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πορευομένη πορεύσομαι μετὰ σου̃ πλὴν γίνωσκε ὅτι οὐκ ἔσται τὸ προτέρημά σου ἐπὶ τὴν ὁδόν ἣν σὺ πορεύη̨ ὅτι ἐν χειρὶ γυναικὸς ἀποδώσεται κύριος τὸν Σισαρα καὶ ἀνέστη Δεββωρα καὶ ἐπορεύθη μετὰ Βαρακ ἐκ Καδης (Ⅲ)

- Quæ dixit ad eum : Ibo quidem tecum, sed in hac vice victoria non reputabitur tibi, quia in manu mulieris tradetur Sisara. Surrexit itaque Debbora, et perrexit cum Barac in Cedes. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃4 ותאמר הלך אלך עמך אפס כי לא תהיה תפארתך על הדרך אשר אתה הולך כי ביד אשה ימכר יהוה את סיסרא ותקם דבורה ותלך‪[Q]‬‪[n]‬‪[v]‬ עם ברק קדשה ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 10

And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

- Barak convoqua Zabulon et Nephthali à Kédesch; dix mille hommes marchèrent à sa suite, et Débora partit avec lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐβόησεν Βαρακ τὸν Ζαβουλων καὶ τὸν Νεφθαλι ἐκ Καδης καὶ ἀνέβησαν κατὰ πόδας αὐτου̃ δέκα χιλιάδες ἀνδρω̃ν καὶ ἀνέβη μετ' αὐτου̃ Δεββωρα (Ⅲ)

- Qui, accitis Zabulon et Nephthali, ascendit cum decem millibus pugnatorum, habens Debboram in comitatu suo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃4 ויזעק ברק את זבולן ואת נפתלי קדשה ויעל ברגליו עשרת אלפי איש ותעל עמו דבורה ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 11

Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.

- Héber, le Kénien, s'était séparé des Kéniens, des fils de Hobab, beau-père de Moïse, et il avait dressé sa tente jusqu'au chêne de Tsaannaïm, près de Kédesch. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Χαβερ ὁ Κιναι̃ος ἐχωρίσθη ἀπὸ Καινα ἀπὸ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ιωβαβ γαμβρου̃ Μωυση̃ καὶ ἔπηξεν τὴν σκηνὴν αὐτου̃ ἕως δρυὸς πλεονεκτούντων ἥ ἐστιν ἐχόμενα Κεδες (Ⅲ)

- Haber autem Cinæus recesserat quondam a ceteris Cinæis fratribus suis, filiis Hobab cognati Moysi : et tetenderat tabernacula usque ad vallem, quæ vocatur Sennim, et erat juxta Cedes. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃4 וחבר הקיני נפרד מקין מבני חבב חתן משה ויט אהלו עד אלון *בצענים **בצעננים אשר את קדש ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 12

And they showed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.

- On informa Sisera que Barak, fils d'Abinoam, s'était dirigé sur le mont Thabor. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνηγγέλη Σισαρα ὅτι ἀνέβη Βαρακ υἱὸς Αβινεεμ εἰς ὄρος Θαβωρ (Ⅲ)

- Nuntiatumque est Sisaræ quod ascendisset Barac filius Abinoëm in montem Thabor : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃4 ויגדו לסיסרא כי עלה ברק בן אבינעם הר תבור ס‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 13

And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon.

- Et, depuis Haroscheth Goïm, Sisera rassembla vers le torrent de Kison tous ses chars, neuf cents chars de fer, et tout le peuple qui était avec lui. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Σισαρα πάντα τὰ ἅρματα αὐτου̃ ἐννακόσια ἅρματα σιδηρα̃ καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν τὸν μετ' αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ Αρισωθ τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν εἰς τὸν χειμάρρουν Κισων (Ⅲ)

- et congregavit nongentos falcatos currus, et omnem exercitum de Haroseth gentium ad torrentem Cison. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃4 ויזעק סיסרא את כל רכבו תשע מאות רכב ברזל ואת כל העם אשר אתו מחרשת הגוים אל נחל קישון ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 14

And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

- Alors Débora dit à Barak: Lève-toi, car voici le jour où l'Éternel livre Sisera entre tes mains. L'Éternel ne marche-t-il pas devant toi? Et Barak descendit du mont Thabor, ayant dix mille hommes à sa suite. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δεββωρα πρὸς Βαρακ ἀνάστηθι ὅτι αὕτη ἡ ἡμέρα ἐν ἡ̨̃ παρέδωκεν κύριος τὸν Σισαρα ἐν τη̨̃ χειρί σου ὅτι κύριος ἐξελεύσεται ἔμπροσθέν σου καὶ κατέβη Βαρακ ἀπὸ του̃ ὄρους Θαβωρ καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες ἀνδρω̃ν ὀπίσω αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Debbora ad Barac : Surge, hæc est enim dies, in qua tradidit Dominus Sisaram in manus tuas : en ipse ductor est tuus. Descendit itaque Barac de monte Thabor, et decem millia pugnatorum cum eo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃4 ותאמר דברה אל ברק קום כי זה היום אשר נתן יהוה את סיסרא בידך הלא יהוה יצא לפניך וירד ברק מהר תבור ועשרת אלפים איש אחריו ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 15

And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.

- L'Éternel mit en déroute devant Barak, par le tranchant de l'épée, Sisera, tous ses chars et tout le camp. Sisera descendit de son char, et s'enfuit à pied. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξέστησεν κύριος τὸν Σισαρα καὶ πάντα τὰ ἅρματα αὐτου̃ καὶ πα̃σαν τὴν παρεμβολὴν αὐτου̃ ἐν στόματι ῥομφαίας ἐνώπιον Βαρακ καὶ κατέβη Σισαρα ἐπάνωθεν του̃ ἅρματος αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔφυγεν τοι̃ς ποσὶν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Perterruitque Dominus Sisaram, et omnes currus ejus, universamque multitudinem in ore gladii ad conspectum Barac : in tantum, ut Sisara de curru desiliens, pedibus fugeret, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃4 ויהם יהוה את סיסרא ואת כל הרכב ואת כל המחנה לפי חרב לפני ברק וירד סיסרא מעל המרכבה וינס ברגליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 16

But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.

- Barak poursuivit les chars et l'armée jusqu'à Haroscheth Goïm; et toute l'armée de Sisera tomba sous le tranchant de l'épée, sans qu'il en restât un seul homme. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Βαρακ διώκων ὀπίσω τω̃ν ἁρμάτων καὶ ὀπίσω τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς ἕως Αρισωθ τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν καὶ ἔπεσεν πα̃σα παρεμβολὴ Σισαρα ἐν στόματι ῥομφαίας οὐ κατελείφθη ἕως ἑνός (Ⅲ)

- et Barac persequeretur fugientes currus, et exercitum usque ad Haroseth gentium, et omnis hostium multitudo usque ad internecionem caderet.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃4 וברק רדף אחרי הרכב ואחרי המחנה עד חרשת הגוים ויפל כל מחנה סיסרא לפי חרב לא נשאר עד אחד ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 17

Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.

- Sisera se réfugia à pied dans la tente de Jaël, femme de Héber, le Kénien; car il y avait paix entre Jabin, roi de Hatsor, et la maison de Héber, le Kénien. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Σισαρα ἔφυγεν τοι̃ς ποσὶν αὐτου̃ εἰς σκηνὴν Ιαηλ γυναικὸς Χαβερ ἑταίρου του̃ Κιναίου ὅτι εἰρήνη ἠ̃ν ἀνὰ μέσον Ιαβιν βασιλέως Ασωρ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον οἴκου Χαβερ του̃ Κιναίου (Ⅲ)

- Sisara autem fugiens pervenit ad tentorium Jahel uxoris Haber Cinæi. Erat enim pax inter Jabin regem Asor, et domum Haber Cinæi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃4 וסיסרא נס ברגליו אל אהל יעל אשת‪[Q]‬‪[n]‬‪[p]‬ חבר הקיני כי שלום בין יבין מלך חצור ובין בית חבר הקיני ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 18

And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.

- Jaël sortit au-devant de Sisera, et lui dit: Entre, mon seigneur, entre chez moi, ne crains point. Il entra chez elle dans la tente, et elle le cacha sous une couverture. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ιαηλ εἰς συνάντησιν Σισαρα καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἔκκλινον κύριέ μου ἔκκλινον πρός με μὴ φοβου̃ καὶ ἐξέκλινεν πρὸς αὐτὴν εἰς τὴν σκηνήν καὶ περιέβαλεν αὐτὸν ἐπιβολαίω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Egressa igitur Jahel in occursum Sisaræ, dixit ad eum : Intra ad me, domine mi : intra, ne timeas. Qui ingressus tabernaculum ejus, et opertus ab ea pallio, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃4 ותצא יעל לקראת סיסרא ותאמר אליו סורה אדני סורה אלי אל תירא ויסר אליה האהלה ותכסהו בשמיכה ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 19

And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.

- Il lui dit: Donne-moi, je te prie, un peu d'eau à boire, car j'ai soif. Elle ouvrit l'outre du lait, lui donna à boire, et le couvrit. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σισαρα πρὸς αὐτήν πότισόν με δὴ μικρὸν ὕδωρ ὅτι ἐδίψησα καὶ ἤνοιξεν τὸν ἀσκὸν του̃ γάλακτος καὶ ἐπότισεν αὐτὸν καὶ περιέβαλεν αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- dixit ad eam : Da mihi, obsecro, paululum aquæ, quia sitio valde. Quæ aperuit utrem lactis, et dedit ei bibere, et operuit illum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃4 ויאמר אליה השקיני נא מעט מים כי צמאתי ותפתח את נאוד החלב ותשקהו ותכסהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 20

Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and inquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.

- Il lui dit encore: Tiens-toi à l'entrée de la tente, et si l'on vient t'interroger en disant: Y a-t-il ici quelqu'un? tu répondras: Non. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Σισαρα στη̃θι δὴ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ἀνὴρ ἔλθη̨ πρὸς σὲ καὶ ἐρωτήση̨ σε καὶ εἴπη̨ εἰ ἔστιν ὡ̃δε ἀνήρ καὶ ἐρει̃ς οὐκ ἔστιν (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Sisara ad eam : Sta ante ostium tabernaculi : et cum venerit aliquis interrogans te, et dicens : Numquid hic est aliquis ? respondebis : Nullus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃4 ויאמר אליה עמד פתח האהל והיה אם איש יבוא ושאלך ואמר היש פה איש ואמרת אין ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 21

Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.

- Jaël, femme de Héber, saisit un pieu de la tente, prit en main le marteau, s'approcha de lui doucement, et lui enfonça dans la tempe le pieu, qui pénétra en terre. Il était profondément endormi et accablé de fatigue; et il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν Ιαηλ γυνὴ Χαβερ τὸν πάσσαλον τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς καὶ ἔθηκεν τὴν σφυ̃ραν ἐν τη̨̃ χειρὶ αὐτη̃ς καὶ εἰση̃λθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐν κρυφη̨̃ καὶ ἔπηξεν τὸν πάσσαλον ἐν τω̨̃ κροτάφω̨ αὐτου̃ καὶ διεξη̃λθεν ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐξεστὼς ἐσκοτώθη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Tulit itaque Jahel uxor Haber clavum tabernaculi, assumens pariter et malleum : et ingressa abscondite et cum silentio, posuit supra tempus capitis ejus clavum, percussumque malleo defixit in cerebrum usque ad terram : qui soporem morti consocians defecit, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃4 ותקח יעל אשת חבר את יתד האהל ותשם את המקבת בידה ותבוא אליו בלאט ותתקע את היתד ברקתו ותצנח בארץ והוא נרדם ויעף וימת ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 22

And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will show thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.

- Comme Barak poursuivait Sisera, Jaël sortit à sa rencontre et lui dit: Viens, et je te montrerai l'homme que tu cherches. Il entra chez elle, et voici, Sisera était étendu mort, le pieu dans la tempe. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἰδοὺ Βαρακ διώκων τὸν Σισαρα καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ιαηλ εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ δευ̃ρο καὶ δείξω σοι τὸν ἄνδρα ὃν σὺ ζητει̃ς καὶ εἰση̃λθεν πρὸς αὐτήν καὶ ἰδοὺ Σισαρα ῥεριμμένος νεκρός καὶ ὁ πάσσαλος ἐν τω̨̃ κροτάφω̨ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et ecce Barac sequens Sisaram veniebat : egressaque Jahel in occursum ejus, dixit ei : Veni, et ostendam tibi virum quem quæris. Qui cum intrasset ad eam, vidit Sisaram jacentem mortuum, et clavum infixum in tempore ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃4 והנה ברק רדף את סיסרא ותצא יעל לקראתו ותאמר לו לך ואראך את האיש אשר אתה מבקש ויבא אליה והנה סיסרא נפל מת והיתד ברקתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 23

So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.

- En ce jour, Dieu humilia Jabin, roi de Canaan, devant les enfants d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐτρόπωσεν ὁ θεὸς ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ τὸν Ιαβιν βασιλέα Χανααν ἔμπροσθεν τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Humiliavit ergo Deus in die illo Jabin regem Chanaan coram filiis Israël : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃4 ויכנע אלהים ביום ההוא את יבין מלך כנען לפני בני ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

4. 24

And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.

- Et la main des enfants d'Israël s'appesantit de plus en plus sur Jabin, roi de Canaan, jusqu'à ce qu'ils eussent exterminé Jabin, roi de Canaan. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύετο χεὶρ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ πορευομένη καὶ σκληρυνομένη ἐπὶ Ιαβιν βασιλέα Χανααν ἕως οὑ̃ ἐξωλέθρευσαν τὸν Ιαβιν βασιλέα Χανααν (Ⅲ)

- qui crescebant quotidie, et forti manu opprimebant Jabin regem Chanaan, donec delerent eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃4 ותלך יד בני ישראל הלוך וקשה על יבין מלך כנען עד אשר הכריתו את יבין מלך כנען פ‬ (Ⅴ)
