18. 1

In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.

- En ce temps-là, il n'y avait point de roi en Israël; et la tribu des Danites se cherchait une possession pour s'établir, car jusqu'à ce jour il ne lui était point échu d'héritage au milieu des tribus d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις οὐκ ἠ̃ν βασιλεὺς ἐν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ἡ φυλὴ Δαν ἐζήτει αὑτη̨̃ κληρονομίαν κατοικη̃σαι ὅτι οὐκ ἐνέπεσεν αὐτη̨̃ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ἐκείνης ἐν μέσω̨ φυλω̃ν Ισραηλ κληρονομία (Ⅲ)

- In diebus illis non erat rex in Israël, et tribus Dan quærebat possessionem sibi, ut habitaret in ea : usque ad illum enim diem inter ceteras tribus sortem non acceperat. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃18 בימים ההם אין מלך בישראל ובימים ההם שבט הדני מבקש לו נחלה לשבת כי לא נפלה לו עד היום ההוא בתוך שבטי ישראל בנחלה ס‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 2

And the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their coasts, men of valor, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said unto them, Go, search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there.

- Les fils de Dan prirent sur eux tous, parmi leurs familles, cinq hommes vaillants, qu'ils envoyèrent de Tsorea et d'Eschthaol, pour explorer le pays et pour l'examiner. Ils leur dirent: Allez, examinez le pays. Ils arrivèrent dans la montagne d'Éphraïm jusqu'à la maison de Mica, et ils y passèrent la nuit. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστειλαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν ἀπὸ δήμων αὐτω̃ν πέντε ἄνδρας υἱοὺς δυνάμεως ἀπὸ Σαραα καὶ ἀπὸ Εσθαολ του̃ κατασκέψασθαι τὴν γη̃ν καὶ ἐξιχνιάσαι αὐτὴν καὶ εἰ̃παν πρὸς αὐτούς πορεύεσθε καὶ ἐξιχνιάσατε τὴν γη̃ν καὶ ἠ̃λθον ἕως ὄρους Εφραιμ ἕως οἴκου Μιχαια καὶ ηὐλίσθησαν ἐκει̃ (Ⅲ)

- Miserunt ergo filii Dan stirpis et familiæ suæ quinque viros fortissimos de Saraa et Esthaol, ut explorarent terram, et diligenter inspicerent : dixeruntque eis : Ite, et considerate terram. Qui cum pergentes venissent in montem Ephraim, et intrassent domum Michæ, requieverunt ibi : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃18 וישלחו בני דן ממשפחתם חמשה אנשים מקצותם אנשים בני חיל מצרעה ומאשתאל לרגל את הארץ ולחקרה ויאמרו אלהם לכו חקרו את הארץ ויבאו הר אפרים עד בית מיכה וילינו שם ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 3

When they were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and said unto him, Who brought thee hither? and what makest thou in this place? and what hast thou here?

- Comme ils étaient près de la maison de Mica, ils reconnurent la voix du jeune Lévite, s'approchèrent et lui dirent: Qui t'a amené ici? que fais-tu dans ce lieu? et qu'as-tu ici? (Ⅱ)

- αὐτοὶ ἐν οἴκω̨ Μιχαια καὶ αὐτοὶ ἐπέγνωσαν τὴν φωνὴν του̃ νεανίσκου του̃ Λευίτου καὶ ἐξέκλιναν ἐκει̃ καὶ εἰ̃παν αὐτω̨̃ τίς ἤνεγκέν σε ὡ̃δε καὶ τί σὺ ποιει̃ς ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ καὶ τί σοι ὡ̃δε (Ⅲ)

- et agnoscentes vocem adolescentis Levitæ, utentesque illius diversorio, dixerunt ad eum : Quis te huc adducit ? quid hic agis ? quam ob causam huc venire voluisti ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃18 המה עם בית מיכה והמה הכירו את קול הנער הלוי ויסורו שם ויאמרו לו מי הביאך הלם ומה אתה עשה בזה ומה לך פה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 4

And he said unto them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and I am his priest.

- Il leur répondit: Mica fait pour moi telle et telle chose, il me donne un salaire, et je lui sers de prêtre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτούς οὕτως καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησέν μοι Μιχαιας καὶ ἐμισθώσατό με καὶ ἐγενόμην αὐτω̨̃ εἰς ἱερέα (Ⅲ)

- Qui respondit eis : Hæc et hæc præstitit mihi Michas, et me mercede conduxit, ut sim ei sacerdos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃18 ויאמר אלהם כזה וכזה עשה לי מיכה וישכרני ואהי לו לכהן ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 5

And they said unto him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.

- Ils lui dirent: Consulte Dieu, afin que nous sachions si notre voyage aura du succès. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃παν αὐτω̨̃ ἐρώτησον δὴ ἐν τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ καὶ γνωσόμεθα εἰ εὐοδωθήσεται ἡ ὁδὸς ἡμω̃ν ἐν ἡ̨̃ ἡμει̃ς πορευόμεθα ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Rogaverunt autem eum ut consuleret Dominum ut scire possent an prospero itinere pergerent, et res haberet effectum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃18 ויאמרו לו שאל נא באלהים ונדעה התצליח דרכנו אשר אנחנו הלכים עליה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 6

And the priest said unto them, Go in peace: before the LORD is your way wherein ye go.

- Et le prêtre leur répondit: Allez en paix; le voyage que vous faites est sous le regard de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς ὁ ἱερεύς πορεύεσθε ἐν εἰρήνη̨ ἐνώπιον κυρίου ἡ ὁδὸς ὑμω̃ν ἐν ἡ̨̃ πορεύεσθε ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Qui respondit eis : Ite in pace : Dominus respicit viam vestram, et iter quo pergitis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃18 ויאמר להם הכהן לכו לשלום נכח יהוה דרככם אשר תלכו בה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 7

Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.

- Les cinq hommes partirent, et ils arrivèrent à Laïs. Ils virent le peuple qui y était vivant en sécurité à la manière des Sidoniens, tranquille et sans inquiétude; il n'y avait dans le pays personne qui leur fît le moindre outrage en dominant sur eux; ils étaient éloignés des Sidoniens, et ils n'avaient pas de liaison avec d'autres hommes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ πέντε ἄνδρες καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς Λαισα καὶ εἰ̃δαν τὸν λαὸν τὸν ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτη̃ς καθήμενον ἐπ' ἐλπίδι ὡς κρίσις Σιδωνίων ἡσυχάζουσα καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν διατρέπων ἢ καταισχύνων λόγον ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ κληρονόμος ἐκπιέζων θησαυρου̃ καὶ μακράν εἰσιν Σιδωνίων καὶ λόγον οὐκ ἔχουσιν πρὸς ἄνθρωπον (Ⅲ)

- Euntes igitur quinque viri venerunt Lais : videruntque populum habitantem in ea absque ullo timore, juxta consuetudinem Sidoniorum, securum et quietum, nullo ei penitus resistente, magnarumque opum, et procul a Sidone atque a cunctis hominibus separatum.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃18 וילכו חמשת האנשים ויבאו לישה ויראו את העם אשר בקרבה יושבת לבטח כמשפט צדנים שקט ובטח ואין מכלים דבר בארץ יורש עצר ורחקים המה מצדנים ודבר אין להם עם אדם ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 8

And they came unto their brethren to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brethren said unto them, What say ye?

- Ils revinrent auprès de leurs frères à Tsorea et Eschthaol, et leurs frères leur dirent: Quelle nouvelle apportez-vous? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃λθον οἱ πέντε ἄνδρες πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτω̃ν εἰς Σαραα καὶ Εσθαολ καὶ εἰ̃πον τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν τί ὑμει̃ς κάθησθε (Ⅲ)

- Reversique ad fratres suos in Saraa et Esthaol, et quid egissent sciscitantibus responderunt : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃18 ויבאו אל אחיהם צרעה ואשתאל ויאמרו להם אחיהם מה אתם ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 9

And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.

- Allons! répondirent-ils, montons contre eux; car nous avons vu le pays, et voici, il est très bon. Quoi! vous restez sans rien dire! Ne soyez point paresseux à vous mettre en marche pour aller prendre possession de ce pays. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃παν ἀνάστητε καὶ ἀναβω̃μεν ἐπ' αὐτούς ὅτι εἴδομεν τὴν γη̃ν καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀγαθὴ σφόδρα καὶ ὑμει̃ς ἡσυχάζετε μὴ ὀκνήσητε του̃ πορευθη̃ναι καὶ εἰσελθει̃ν του̃ κληρονομη̃σαι τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Surgite, ascendamus ad eos : vidimus enim terram valde opulentam et uberem. Nolite negligere, nolite cessare : eamus, et possideamus eam : nullus erit labor. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃18 ויאמרו קומה ונעלה עליהם כי ראינו את הארץ והנה טובה מאד ואתם מחשים אל תעצלו ללכת לבא לרשת את הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 10

When ye go, ye shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.

- Quand vous y entrerez, vous arriverez vers un peuple en sécurité. Le pays est vaste, et Dieu l'a livré entre vos mains; c'est un lieu où rien ne manque de tout ce qui est sur la terre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἡνίκα ἂν ἔλθητε εἰσελεύσεσθε πρὸς λαὸν ἐπ' ἐλπίδι καὶ ἡ γη̃ πλατει̃α ὅτι ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν ὁ θεὸς ἐν χειρὶ ὑμω̃ν τόπος ὅπου οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκει̃ ὑστέρημα παντὸς ῥήματος τω̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Intrabimus ad securos, in regionem latissimam, tradetque nobis Dominus locum, in quo nullius rei est penuria eorum quæ gignuntur in terra. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃18 כבאכם תבאו אל עם בטח והארץ רחבת ידים כי נתנה אלהים בידכם מקום אשר אין שם מחסור כל דבר אשר בארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 11

And there went from thence of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men appointed with weapons of war.

- Six cents hommes de la famille de Dan partirent de Tsorea et d'Eschthaol, munis de leurs armes de guerre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπη̃ραν ἐκει̃θεν ἀπὸ δήμων του̃ Δαν ἀπὸ Σαραα καὶ ἀπὸ Εσθαολ ἑξακόσιοι ἄνδρες ἐζωσμένοι σκεύη παρατάξεως (Ⅲ)

- Profecti igitur sunt de cognatione Dan, id est, de Saraa et Esthaol, sexcenti viri accincti armis bellicis, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃18 ויסעו משם ממשפחת הדני מצרעה ומאשתאל שש מאות איש חגור כלי מלחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 12

And they went up, and pitched in Kirjathjearim, in Judah: wherefore they called that place Mahanehdan unto this day: behold, it is behind Kirjathjearim.

- Ils montèrent, et campèrent à Kirjath Jearim en Juda; c'est pourquoi ce lieu, qui est derrière Kirjath Jearim, a été appelé jusqu'à ce jour Machané Dan. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβησαν καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Καριαθιαριμ ἐν Ιουδα διὰ του̃το ἐκλήθη ἐν ἐκείνω̨ τω̨̃ τόπω̨ παρεμβολὴ Δαν ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης ἰδοὺ ὀπίσω Καριαθιαριμ (Ⅲ)

- ascendentesque manserunt in Cariathiarim Judæ : qui locus ex eo tempore Castrorum Dan nomen accepit, et est post tergum Cariathiarim. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃18 ויעלו ויחנו בקרית יערים ביהודה על כן קראו למקום ההוא מחנה דן עד היום הזה הנה אחרי קרית יערים ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 13

And they passed thence unto mount Ephraim, and came unto the house of Micah.

- Ils passèrent de là dans la montagne d'Éphraïm, et ils arrivèrent jusqu'à la maison de Mica. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ παρη̃λθον ἐκει̃θεν ὄρος Εφραιμ καὶ ἠ̃λθον ἕως οἴκου Μιχαια (Ⅲ)

- Inde transierunt in montem Ephraim. Cumque venissent ad domum Michæ, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃18 ויעברו משם הר אפרים ויבאו עד בית מיכה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 14

Then answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what ye have to do.

- Alors les cinq hommes qui étaient allés pour explorer le pays de Laïs prirent la parole et dirent à leurs frères: Savez-vous qu'il y a dans ces maisons-là un éphod, des théraphim, une image taillée et une image en fonte? Voyez maintenant ce que vous avez à faire. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ πέντε ἄνδρες οἱ πεπορευμένοι κατασκέψασθαι τὴν γη̃ν Λαισα καὶ εἰ̃παν πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτω̃ν ἔγνωτε ὅτι ἔστιν ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ τούτω̨ εφωδ καὶ θεραφιν καὶ γλυπτὸν καὶ χωνευτόν καὶ νυ̃ν γνω̃τε ὅ τι ποιήσετε (Ⅲ)

- dixerunt quinque viri, qui prius missi fuerant ad considerandam terram Lais, ceteris fratribus suis : Nostis quod in domibus istis sit ephod, et theraphim, et sculptile, atque conflatile : videte quid vobis placeat.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃18 ויענו חמשת האנשים ההלכים לרגל את הארץ ליש ויאמרו אל אחיהם הידעתם כי יש בבתים האלה אפוד ותרפים ופסל ומסכה ועתה דעו מה תעשו ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 15

And they turned thitherward, and came to the house of the young man the Levite, even unto the house of Micah, and saluted him.

- Ils s'approchèrent de là, entrèrent dans la maison du jeune Lévite, dans la maison de Mica, et lui demandèrent comment il se portait. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐξέκλιναν ἐκει̃ καὶ εἰση̃λθον εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ νεανίσκου του̃ Λευίτου οἰ̃κον Μιχαια καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν εἰς εἰρήνην (Ⅲ)

- Et cum paululum declinassent, ingressi sunt domum adolescentis Levitæ, qui erat in domo Michæ : salutaveruntque eum verbis pacificis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃18 ויסורו שמה ויבאו אל בית הנער הלוי בית מיכה וישאלו לו לשלום ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 16

And the six hundred men appointed with their weapons of war, which were of the children of Dan, stood by the entering of the gate.

- Les six cents hommes d'entre les fils de Dan, munis de leurs armes de guerre, se tenaient à l'entrée de la porte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οἱ ἑξακόσιοι ἄνδρες οἱ ἀνεζωσμένοι τὰ σκεύη τη̃ς παρατάξεως αὐτω̃ν ἑστω̃τες παρὰ θύρας τη̃ς πύλης οἱ ἐκ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Δαν (Ⅲ)

- Sexcenti autem viri ita ut erant armati, stabant ante ostium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃18 ושש מאות איש חגורים כלי מלחמתם נצבים פתח השער אשר מבני דן ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 17

And the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war.

- Et les cinq hommes qui étaient allés pour explorer le pays montèrent et entrèrent dans la maison; ils prirent l'image taillée, l'éphod, les théraphim, et l'image en fonte, pendant que le prêtre était à l'entrée de la porte avec les six cents hommes munis de leurs armes de guerre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβησαν οἱ πέντε ἄνδρες οἱ πορευθέντες κατασκέψασθαι τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)

- At illi, qui ingressi fuerant domum juvenis, sculptile, et ephod, et theraphim, atque conflatile tollere nitebantur, et sacerdos stabat ante ostium, sexcentis viris fortissimis haud procul expectantibus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃18 ויעלו חמשת האנשים ההלכים לרגל את הארץ באו שמה לקחו את הפסל ואת האפוד ואת התרפים ואת המסכה והכהן נצב פתח השער ושש מאות האיש החגור כלי המלחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 18

And these went into Micah's house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image. Then said the priest unto them, What do ye?

- Lorsqu'ils furent entrés dans la maison de Mica, et qu'ils eurent pris l'image taillée, l'éphod, les théraphim, et l'image en fonte, le prêtre leur dit: Que faites-vous? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰση̃λθον ἐκει̃ εἰς οἰ̃κον Μιχαια καὶ ὁ ἱερεὺς ἑστώς καὶ ἔλαβον τὸ γλυπτὸν καὶ τὸ εφωδ καὶ τὸ θεραφιν καὶ τὸ χωνευτόν καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὁ ἱερεύς τί ὑμει̃ς ποιει̃τε (Ⅲ)

- Tulerunt igitur qui intraverant sculptile, ephod, et idola, atque conflatile. Quibus dixit sacerdos : Quid facitis ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃18 ואלה באו בית מיכה ויקחו את פסל האפוד ואת התרפים ואת המסכה ויאמר אליהם הכהן מה אתם עשים ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 19

And they said unto him, Hold thy peace, lay thine hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a priest: is it better for thee to be a priest unto the house of one man, or that thou be a priest unto a tribe and a family in Israel?

- Ils lui répondirent: Tais-toi, mets ta main sur ta bouche, et viens avec nous; tu nous serviras de père et de prêtre. Vaut-il mieux que tu serves de prêtre à la maison d'un seul homme, ou que tu serves de prêtre à une tribu et à une famille en Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃παν αὐτω̨̃ κώφευσον ἐπίθες τὴν χει̃ρά σου ἐπὶ τὸ στόμα σου καὶ δευ̃ρο μεθ' ἡμω̃ν καὶ γενου̃ ἡμι̃ν εἰς πατέρα καὶ εἰς ἱερέα μὴ ἀγαθὸν εἰ̃ναί σε ἱερέα οἴκου ἀνδρὸς ἑνὸς ἢ γενέσθαι σε ἱερέα φυλη̃ς καὶ οἴκου εἰς δη̃μον Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Cui responderunt : Tace et pone digitum super os tuum : venique nobiscum, ut habeamus te patrem, ac sacerdotem. Quid tibi melius est, ut sis sacerdos in domo unius viri, an in una tribu et familia in Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃18 ויאמרו לו החרש שים ידך על פיך ולך עמנו והיה לנו לאב ולכהן הטוב היותך כהן לבית איש אחד או היותך כהן לשבט ולמשפחה בישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 20

And the priest's heart was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people.

- Le prêtre éprouva de la joie dans son coeur; il prit l'éphod, les théraphim, et l'image taillée, et se joignit à la troupe. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠγαθύνθη ἡ καρδία του̃ ἱερέως καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸ εφωδ καὶ τὸ θεραφιν καὶ τὸ γλυπτὸν καὶ τὸ χωνευτὸν καὶ ἠ̃λθεν ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ λαου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Quod cum audisset, acquievit sermonibus eorum, et tulit ephod, et idola, ac sculptile, et profectus est cum eis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃18 וייטב לב הכהן ויקח את האפוד ואת התרפים ואת הפסל ויבא בקרב העם ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 21

So they turned and departed, and put the little ones and the cattle and the carriage before them.

- Ils se remirent en route et partirent, en plaçant devant eux les enfants, le bétail et les bagages. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν καὶ ἀπη̃λθαν καὶ ἔθηκαν τὰ τέκνα καὶ τὴν κτη̃σιν καὶ τὸ βάρος ἔμπροσθεν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Qui cum pergerent, et ante se ire fecissent parvulos ac jumenta, et omne quod erat pretiosum, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃18 ויפנו וילכו וישימו את הטף ואת המקנה ואת הכבודה לפניהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 22

And when they were a good way from the house of Micah, the men that were in the houses near to Micah's house were gathered together, and overtook the children of Dan.

- Comme ils étaient déjà loin de la maison de Mica, les gens qui habitaient les maisons voisines de celle de Mica se rassemblèrent et poursuivirent les fils de Dan. (Ⅱ)

- αὐτοὶ ἐμάκρυναν ἀπὸ οἴκου Μιχαια καὶ ἰδοὺ Μιχαιας καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ ἐν ται̃ς οἰκίαις ται̃ς μετὰ οἴκου Μιχαια ἐβόησαν καὶ κατελάβοντο τοὺς υἱοὺς Δαν (Ⅲ)

- et jam a domo Michæ essent procul, viri qui habitabant in ædibus Michæ conclamantes secuti sunt, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃18 המה הרחיקו מבית מיכה והאנשים אשר בבתים אשר עם בית מיכה נזעקו וידביקו את בני דן ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 23

And they cried unto the children of Dan. And they turned their faces, and said unto Micah, What aileth thee, that thou comest with such a company?

- Ils appelèrent les fils de Dan, qui se retournèrent et dirent à Mica: Qu'as-tu, et que signifie ce rassemblement? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτω̃ν υἱοὶ Δαν καὶ εἰ̃παν τω̨̃ Μιχαια τί ἐστίν σοι ὅτι ἐβόησας (Ⅲ)

- et post tergum clamare cœperunt. Qui cum respexissent, dixerunt ad Micham : Quid tibi vis ? cur clamas ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃18 ויקראו אל בני דן ויסבו פניהם ויאמרו למיכה מה לך כי נזעקת ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 24

And he said, Ye have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and ye are gone away: and what have I more? and what is this that ye say unto me, What aileth thee?

- Il répondit: Mes dieux que j'avais faits, vous les avez enlevés avec le prêtre et vous êtes partis: que me reste-t-il? Comment donc pouvez-vous me dire: Qu'as-tu? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μιχαιας ὅτι τὸ γλυπτόν μου ὃ ἐποίησα ἐλάβετε καὶ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ἐπορεύθητε καὶ τί ἐμοὶ ἔτι καὶ τί του̃το λέγετε πρός με τί κράζεις (Ⅲ)

- Qui respondit : Deos meos, quos mihi feci, tulistis, et sacerdotem, et omnia quæ habeo, et dicitis : Quid tibi est ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃18 ויאמר את אלהי אשר עשיתי לקחתם ואת הכהן ותלכו ומה לי עוד ומה זה תאמרו אלי מה לך ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 25

And the children of Dan said unto him, Let not thy voice be heard among us, lest angry fellows run upon thee, and thou lose thy life, with the lives of thy household.

- Les fils de Dan lui dirent: Ne fais pas entendre ta voix près de nous; sinon des hommes irrités se jetteront sur vous, et tu causeras ta perte et celle de ta maison. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πον πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν μὴ ἀκουσθήτω δὴ φωνή σου μεθ' ἡμω̃ν μήποτε συναντήσωσιν ἐν ἡμι̃ν ἄνδρες πικροὶ ψυχη̨̃ καὶ προσθήσουσιν ψυχὴν καὶ τὴν ψυχὴν του̃ οἴκου σου (Ⅲ)

- Dixeruntque ei filii Dan : Cave ne ultra loquaris ad nos, et veniant ad te viri animo concitati, et ipse cum omni domo tua pereas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃18 ויאמרו אליו בני דן אל תשמע קולך עמנו פן יפגעו בכם אנשים מרי נפש ואספתה נפשך ונפש ביתך ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 26

And the children of Dan went their way: and when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back unto his house.

- Et les fils de Dan continuèrent leur route. Mica, voyant qu'ils étaient plus forts que lui, s'en retourna et revint dans sa maison. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν εἰς ὁδὸν αὐτω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃δεν Μιχαιας ὅτι δυνατώτεροί εἰσιν ὑπὲρ αὐτόν καὶ ἐπόστρεψεν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et sic cœpto itinere perrexerunt. Videns autem Michas quod fortiores se essent, reversus est in domum suam.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃18 וילכו בני דן לדרכם וירא מיכה כי חזקים המה ממנו ויפן וישב אל ביתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 27

And they took the things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with fire.

- Ils enlevèrent ainsi ce qu'avait fait Mica et emmenèrent le prêtre qui était à son service, et ils tombèrent sur Laïs, sur un peuple tranquille et en sécurité; ils le passèrent au fil de l'épée, et ils brûlèrent la ville. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν ἔλαβον ὃ ἐποίησεν Μιχαιας καὶ τὸν ἱερέα ὃς ἠ̃ν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ ἠ̃λθον ἐπὶ Λαισα ἐπὶ λαὸν ἡσυχάζοντα καὶ πεποιθότα ἐπ' ἐλπίδι καὶ ἐπάταξαν αὐτοὺς ἐν στόματι ῥομφαίας καὶ τὴν πόλιν ἐνέπρησαν ἐν πυρί (Ⅲ)

- Sexcenti autem viri tulerunt sacerdotem, et quæ supra diximus : veneruntque in Lais ad populum quiescentem atque securum, et percusserunt eos in ore gladii : urbemque incendio tradiderunt, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃18 והמה לקחו את אשר עשה מיכה ואת הכהן אשר היה לו ויבאו על ליש על עם שקט ובטח ויכו אותם לפי חרב ואת העיר שרפו באש ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 28

And there was no deliverer, because it was far from Zidon, and they had no business with any man; and it was in the valley that lieth by Bethrehob. And they built a city, and dwelt therein.

- Personne ne la délivra, car elle était éloignée de Sidon, et ses habitants n'avaient pas de liaison avec d'autres hommes: elle était dans la vallée qui s'étend vers Beth Rehob. Les fils de Dan rebâtirent la ville, et y habitèrent; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν ὁ ῥυόμενος ὅτι μακράν ἐστιν ἀπὸ Σιδωνίων καὶ λόγος οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτοι̃ς μετὰ ἀνθρώπου καὶ αὐτὴ ἐν τη̨̃ κοιλάδι του̃ οἴκου Ρααβ καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησαν τὴν πόλιν καὶ κατεσκήνωσαν ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- nullo penitus ferente præsidium, eo quod procul habitarent a Sidone, et cum nullo hominum haberent quidquam societatis ac negotii. Erat autem civitas sita in regione Rohob : quam rursum exstruentes habitaverunt in ea, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃18 ואין מציל כי רחוקה היא מצידון ודבר אין להם עם אדם והיא בעמק אשר לבית רחוב ויבנו את העיר וישבו בה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 29

And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city was Laish at the first.

- ils l'appelèrent Dan, d'après le nom de Dan, leur père, qui était né à Israël; mais la ville s'appelait auparavant Laïs. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκάλεσαν τὸ ὄνομα τη̃ς πόλεως Δαν ἐν ὀνόματι Δαν πατρὸς αὐτω̃ν ὃς ἐτέχθη τω̨̃ Ισραηλ καὶ Ουλαμαις τὸ ὄνομα τη̃ς πόλεως τὸ πρότερον (Ⅲ)

- vocato nomine civitatis Dan, juxta vocabulum patris sui, quem genuerat Israël, quæ prius Lais dicebatur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃18 ויקראו שם העיר דן בשם דן אביהם אשר יולד לישראל ואולם ליש שם העיר לראשנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 30

And the children of Dan set up the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land.

- Ils dressèrent pour eux l'image taillée; et Jonathan, fils de Guerschom, fils de Manassé, lui et ses fils, furent prêtres pour la tribu des Danites, jusqu'à l'époque de la captivité du pays. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔστησαν ἑαυτοι̃ς οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν τὸ γλυπτόν καὶ Ιωναθαμ υἱὸς Γηρσομ υἱὸς Μανασση αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ ἠ̃σαν ἱερει̃ς τη̨̃ φυλη̨̃ Δαν ἕως ἡμέρας ἀποικίας τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Posueruntque sibi sculptile, et Jonathan filium Gersam filii Moysi ac filios ejus sacerdotes in tribu Dan, usque ad diem captivitatis suæ. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃18 ויקימו להם בני דן את הפסל ויהונתן בן גרשם בן מנ‪[7]‬שה הוא ובניו היו כהנים לשבט הדני עד יום גלות הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 31

And they set them up Micah's graven image, which he made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh.

- Ils établirent pour eux l'image taillée qu'avait faite Mica, pendant tout le temps que la maison de Dieu fut à Silo. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔθηκαν αὐτοι̃ς τὸ γλυπτόν ὃ ἐποίησεν Μιχαιας πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς ἠ̃ν ὁ οἰ̃κος του̃ θεου̃ ἐν Σηλωμ (Ⅲ)

- Mansitque apud eos idolum Michæ omni tempore quo fuit domus Dei in Silo. In diebus illis non erat rex in Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃18 וישימו להם את פסל מיכה אשר עשה כל ימי היות בית האלהים בשלה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
