In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
- En ce temps-là, Ézéchias fut malade à la mort. Le prophète Ésaïe, fils d'Amots, vint auprès de lui, et lui dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Donne tes ordres à ta maison, car tu vas mourir, et tu ne vivras plus. (Ⅱ) - ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ἠρρώστησεν Εζεκιας εἰς θάνατον καὶ εἰση̃λθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ησαιας υἱὸς Αμως ὁ προφήτης καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν τάδε λέγει κύριος ἔντειλαι τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ σου ὅτι ἀποθνή̨σκεις σὺ καὶ οὐ ζήση̨ (Ⅲ) - In diebus illis ægrotavit Ezechias usque ad mortem : et venit ad eum Isaias filius Amos propheta, dixitque ei : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Præcipe domui tuæ : morieris enim tu, et non vives. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃20 בימים ההם חלה חזקיהו למות ויבא אליו ישעיהו בן אמוץ הנביא ויאמר אליו כה אמר יהוה צו לביתך כי מת אתה ולא תחיה (Ⅴ)

Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,
- Ézéchias tourna son visage contre le mur, et fit cette prière à l'Éternel: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν Εζεκιας τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ πρὸς τὸν τοι̃χον καὶ ηὔξατο πρὸς κύριον λέγων (Ⅲ) - Qui convertit faciem suam ad parietem, et oravit Dominum, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃20 ויסב את פניו אל הקיר ויתפלל אל יהוה לאמר (Ⅴ)

I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
- O Éternel! souviens-toi que j'ai marché devant ta face avec fidélité et intégrité de coeur, et que j'ai fait ce qui est bien à tes yeux! Et Ézéchias répandit d'abondantes larmes. (Ⅱ) - ὠ̃ δή κύριε μνήσθητι δὴ ὅσα περιεπάτησα ἐνώπιόν σου ἐν ἀληθεία̨ καὶ ἐν καρδία̨ πλήρει καὶ τὸ ἀγαθὸν ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου ἐποίησα καὶ ἔκλαυσεν Εζεκιας κλαυθμω̨̃ μεγάλω̨ (Ⅲ) - Obsecro, Domine : memento, quæso, quomodo ambulaverim coram te in veritate, et in corde perfecto, et quod placitum est coram te fecerim. Flevit itaque Ezechias fletu magno. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃20 אנה יהוה זכר נא את אשר התהלכתי לפניך באמת ובלבב שלם והטוב בעיניך עשיתי ויבך חזקיהו בכי גדול ס (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
- Ésaïe, qui était sorti, n'était pas encore dans la cour du milieu, lorsque la parole de l'Éternel lui fut adressée en ces termes: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃ν Ησαιας ἐν τη̨̃ αὐλη̨̃ τη̨̃ μέση̨ καὶ ῥη̃μα κυρίου ἐγένετο πρὸς αὐτὸν λέγων (Ⅲ) - Et antequam egrederetur Isaias mediam partem atrii, factus est sermo Domini ad eum, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃20 ויהי ישעיהו לא יצא *העיר **חצר התיכנה ודבר יהוה היה אליו לאמר (Ⅴ)

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
- Retourne, et dis à Ézéchias, chef de mon peuple: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu de David, ton père: J'ai entendu ta prière, j'ai vu tes larmes. Voici, je te guérirai; le troisième jour, tu monteras à la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἐπίστρεψον καὶ ἐρει̃ς πρὸς Εζεκιαν τὸν ἡγούμενον του̃ λαου̃ μου τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Δαυιδ του̃ πατρός σου ἤκουσα τη̃ς προσευχη̃ς σου εἰ̃δον τὰ δάκρυά σου ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἰάσομαί σε τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ τη̨̃ τρίτη̨ ἀναβήση̨ εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Revertere, et dic Ezechiæ duci populi mei : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus David patris tui : Audivi orationem tuam, et vidi lacrimas tuas, et ecce sanavi te : die tertio ascendes templum Domini. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃20 שוב ואמרת אל חזקיהו נגיד עמי כה אמר יהוה אלהי דוד אביך שמעתי את תפלתך ראיתי את דמעתך הנני רפא לך ביום השלישי תעלה בית יהוה (Ⅴ)

And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
- J'ajouterai à tes jours quinze années. Je te délivrerai, toi et cette ville, de la main du roi d'Assyrie; je protégerai cette ville, à cause de moi, et à cause de David, mon serviteur. (Ⅱ) - καὶ προσθήσω ἐπὶ τὰς ἡμέρας σου πέντε καὶ δέκα ἔτη καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς βασιλέως 'Ασσυρίων σώσω σε καὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην καὶ ὑπερασπιω̃ ὑπὲρ τη̃ς πόλεως ταύτης δι' ἐμὲ καὶ διὰ Δαυιδ τὸν δου̃λόν μου (Ⅲ) - Et addam diebus tuis quindecim annos : sed et de manu regis Assyriorum liberabo te, et civitatem hanc : et protegam urbem istam propter me, et propter David servum meum. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃20 והספתי על ימיך חמש עשרה שנה ומכף מלך אשור אצילך ואת העיר הזאת וגנותי על העיר הזאת למעני ולמען דוד עבדי (Ⅴ)

And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
- Ésaïe dit: Prenez une masse de figues. On la prit, et on l'appliqua sur l'ulcère. Et Ézéchias guérit. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν λαβέτωσαν παλάθην σύκων καὶ ἐπιθέτωσαν ἐπὶ τὸ ἕλκος καὶ ὑγιάσει (Ⅲ) - Dixitque Isaias : Afferte massam ficorum. Quam cum attulissent, et posuissent super ulcus ejus, curatus est. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃20 ויאמר ישעיהו קחו דבלת תאנים ויקחו וישימו על השחין ויחי (Ⅴ)

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?
- Ézéchias avait dit à Ésaïe: A quel signe connaîtrai-je que l'Éternel me guérira, et que je monterai le troisième jour à la maison de l'Éternel? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας πρὸς Ησαιαν τί τὸ σημει̃ον ὅτι ἰάσεταί με κύριος καὶ ἀναβήσομαι εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ τη̨̃ τρίτη̨ (Ⅲ) - Dixerat autem Ezechias ad Isaiam : Quod erit signum, quia Dominus me sanabit, et quia ascensurus sum die tertia templum Domini ? (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃20 ויאמר חזקיהו אל ישעיהו מה אות כי ירפא יהוה לי ועליתי ביום השלישי בית יהוה (Ⅴ)

And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
- Et Ésaïe dit: Voici, de la part de l'Éternel, le signe auquel tu connaîtras que l'Éternel accomplira la parole qu'il a prononcée: L'ombre avancera-t-elle de dix degrés, ou reculera-t-elle de dix degrés? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ησαιας του̃το τὸ σημει̃ον παρὰ κυρίου ὅτι ποιήσει κύριος τὸν λόγον ὃν ἐλάλησεν πορεύσεται ἡ σκιὰ δέκα βαθμούς ἐὰν ἐπιστρέφη̨ δέκα βαθμούς (Ⅲ) - Cui ait Isaias : Hoc erit signum a Domino quod facturus sit Dominus sermonem quem locutus est : vis ut ascendat umbra decem lineis, an ut revertatur totidem gradibus ? (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃20 ויאמר ישעיהו זה לך האות מאת יהוה כי יעשה יהוה את הדבר אשר דבר הלך הצל עשר מעלות אם ישוב עשר מעלות (Ⅴ)

And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
- Ézéchias répondit: C'est peu de chose que l'ombre avance de dix degrés; mais plutôt qu'elle recule de dix degrés. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας κου̃φον τὴν σκιὰν κλι̃ναι δέκα βαθμούς οὐχί ἀλλ' ἐπιστραφήτω ἡ σκιὰ δέκα βαθμοὺς εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω (Ⅲ) - Et ait Ezechias : Facile est umbram crescere decem lineis : nec hoc volo ut fiat, sed ut revertatur retrorsum decem gradibus. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃20 ויאמר יחזקיהו נקל לצל לנטות עשר מעלות לא כי ישוב הצל אחרנית עשר מעלות (Ⅴ)

And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.
- Alors Ésaïe, le prophète, invoqua l'Éternel, qui fit reculer l'ombre de dix degrés sur les degrés d'Achaz, où elle était descendue. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐβόησεν Ησαιας ὁ προφήτης πρὸς κύριον καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἡ σκιὰ ἐν τοι̃ς ἀναβαθμοι̃ς εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω δέκα βαθμούς (Ⅲ) - Invocavit itaque Isaias propheta Dominum, et reduxit umbram per lineas quibus jam descenderat in horologio Achaz, retrorsum decem gradibus.\ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃20 ויקרא ישעיהו הנביא אל יהוה וישב את הצל במעלות אשר ירדה במעלות אחז אחרנית עשר מעלות פ (Ⅴ)

At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
- En ce même temps, Berodac Baladan, fils de Baladan, roi de Babylone, envoya une lettre et un présent à Ézéchias, car il avait appris la maladie d'Ézéchias. (Ⅱ) - ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ἀπέστειλεν Μαρωδαχβαλαδαν υἱὸς Βαλαδαν βασιλεὺς Βαβυλω̃νος βιβλία καὶ μαναα πρὸς Εζεκιαν ὅτι ἤκουσεν ὅτι ἠρρώστησεν Εζεκιας (Ⅲ) - In tempore illo misit Berodach Baladan, filius Baladan, rex Babyloniorum, litteras et munera ad Ezechiam : audierat enim quod ægrotasset Ezechias. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃20 בעת ההיא שלח בראדך בלאדן בן בלאדן מלך בבל ספרים ומנחה אל חזקיהו כי שמע כי חלה חזקיהו (Ⅴ)

And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.
- Ézéchias donna audience aux envoyés, et il leur montra le lieu où étaient ses choses de prix, l'argent et l'or, les aromates et l'huile précieuse, son arsenal, et tout ce qui se trouvait dans ses trésors: il n'y eut rien qu'Ézéchias ne leur fît voir dans sa maison et dans tous ses domaines. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐχάρη ἐπ' αὐτοι̃ς Εζεκιας καὶ ἔδειξεν αὐτοι̃ς ὅλον τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ νεχωθα τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ τὸ χρυσίον τὰ ἀρώματα καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον τὸ ἀγαθόν καὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον τω̃ν σκευω̃ν καὶ ὅσα ηὑρέθη ἐν τοι̃ς θησαυροι̃ς αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἠ̃ν λόγος ὃν οὐκ ἔδειξεν αὐτοι̃ς Εζεκιας ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ ἐξουσία̨ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Lætatus est autem in adventu eorum Ezechias, et ostendit eis domum aromatum, et aurum et argentum, et pigmenta varia, unguenta quoque, et domum vasorum suorum, et omnia quæ habere poterat in thesauris suis. Non fuit quod non monstraret eis Ezechias in domo sua, et in omni potestate sua. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃20 וישמע עליהם חזקיהו ויראם את כל בית נכתה[q] את הכסף ואת הזהב ואת הבשמים ואת שמן הטוב ואת בית כליו ואת כל אשר נמצא באוצרתיו לא היה דבר אשר לא הראם חזקיהו בביתו ובכל ממשלתו (Ⅴ)

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.
- Ésaïe, le prophète, vint ensuite auprès du roi Ézéchias, et lui dit: Qu'ont dit ces gens-là, et d'où sont-ils venus vers toi? Ézéchias répondit: Ils sont venus d'un pays éloigné, de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰση̃λθεν Ησαιας ὁ προφήτης πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Εζεκιαν καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν τί ἐλάλησαν οἱ ἄνδρες οὑ̃τοι καὶ πόθεν ἥκασιν πρὸς σέ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας ἐκ γη̃ς πόρρωθεν ἥκασιν πρός με ἐκ Βαβυλω̃νος (Ⅲ) - Venit autem Isaias propheta ad regem Ezechiam, dixitque ei : Quid dixerunt viri isti ? aut unde venerunt ad te ? Cui ait Ezechias : De terra longinqua venerunt ad me, de Babylone. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃20 ויבא ישעיהו הנביא אל המלך חזקיהו ויאמר אליו מה אמרו האנשים האלה ומאין יבאו אליך ויאמר חזקיהו מארץ רחוקה באו מבבל (Ⅴ)

And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not showed them.
- Ésaïe dit encore: Qu'ont-ils vu dans ta maison? Ézéchias répondit: Ils ont vu tout ce qui est dans ma maison: il n'y a rien dans mes trésors que je ne leur aie fait voir. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν τί εἰ̃δον ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ σου καὶ εἰ̃πεν πάντα ὅσα ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ μου εἰ̃δον οὐκ ἠ̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ μου ὃ οὐκ ἔδειξα αὐτοι̃ς ἀλλὰ καὶ τὰ ἐν τοι̃ς θησαυροι̃ς μου (Ⅲ) - At ille respondit : Quid viderunt in domo tua ? Ait Ezechias : Omnia quæcumque sunt in domo mea, viderunt : nihil est quod non monstraverim eis in thesauris meis. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃20 ויאמר מה ראו בביתך ויאמר חזקיהו את כל אשר בביתי ראו לא היה דבר אשר לא הראיתם באצרתי (Ⅴ)

And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.
- Alors Ésaïe dit à Ézéchias: Écoute la parole de l'Éternel! (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ησαιας πρὸς Εζεκιαν ἄκουσον λόγον κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Dixit itaque Isaias Ezechiæ : Audi sermonem Domini : (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃20 ויאמר ישעיהו אל חזקיהו שמע דבר יהוה (Ⅴ)

Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
- Voici, les temps viendront où l'on emportera à Babylone tout ce qui est dans ta maison et ce que tes pères ont amassé jusqu'à ce jour; il n'en restera rien, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται καὶ λημφθήσεται πάντα τὰ ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ σου καὶ ὅσα ἐθησαύρισαν οἱ πατέρες σου ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης εἰς Βαβυλω̃να καὶ οὐχ ὑπολειφθήσεται ῥη̃μα ὃ εἰ̃πεν κύριος (Ⅲ) - Ecce dies venient, et auferentur omnia quæ sunt in domo tua, et quæ condiderunt patres tui usque in diem hanc, in Babylonem : non remanebit quidquam, ait Dominus. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃20 הנה ימים באים ונשא כל אשר בביתך ואשר אצרו אבתיך עד היום הזה בבלה לא יותר דבר אמר יהוה (Ⅴ)

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
- Et l'on prendra de tes fils, qui seront sortis de toi, que tu auras engendrés, pour en faire des eunuques dans le palais du roi de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου οἳ ἐξελεύσονται ἐκ σου̃ οὓς γεννήσεις λήμψεται καὶ ἔσονται εὐνου̃χοι ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ του̃ βασιλέως Βαβυλω̃νος (Ⅲ) - Sed et de filiis tuis qui egredientur ex te, quos generabis, tollentur, et erunt eunuchi in palatio regis Babylonis. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃20 ומבניך אשר יצאו ממך אשר תוליד *יקח **יקחו והיו סריסים בהיכל מלך בבל (Ⅴ)

Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?
- Ézéchias répondit à Ésaïe: La parole de l'Éternel, que tu as prononcée, est bonne. Et il ajouta: N'y aura-t-il pas paix et sécurité pendant ma vie? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας πρὸς Ησαιαν ἀγαθὸς ὁ λόγος κυρίου ὃν ἐλάλησεν ἔστω εἰρήνη ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις μου (Ⅲ) - Dixit Ezechias ad Isaiam : Bonus sermo Domini quem locutus es : sit pax et veritas in diebus meis.\ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃20 ויאמר חזקיהו אל ישעיהו טוב דבר יהוה אשר דברת ויאמר הלוא אם שלום ואמת יהיה בימי (Ⅴ)

And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
- Le reste des actions d'Ézéchias, tous ses exploits, et comment il fit l'étang et l'aqueduc, et amena les eaux dans la ville, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda? (Ⅱ) - καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τω̃ν λόγων Εζεκιου καὶ πα̃σα ἡ δυναστεία αὐτου̃ καὶ ὅσα ἐποίησεν τὴν κρήνην καὶ τὸν ὑδραγωγὸν καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν τὸ ὕδωρ εἰς τὴν πόλιν οὐχὶ ταυ̃τα γεγραμμένα ἐπὶ βιβλίω̨ λόγων τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν τοι̃ς βασιλευ̃σιν Ιουδα (Ⅲ) - Reliqua autem sermonum Ezechiæ, et omnis fortitudo ejus, et quomodo fecerit piscinam et aquæductum, et introduxerit aquas in civitatem, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro sermonum dierum regum Juda ? (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃20 ויתר דברי חזקיהו וכל גבורתו ואשר עשה את הברכה ואת התעלה ויבא את המים העירה הלא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי יהודה (Ⅴ)

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
- Ézéchias se coucha avec ses pères. Et Manassé, son fils, régna à sa place. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Εζεκιας μετὰ τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Μανασσης υἱὸς αὐτου̃ ἀντ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Dormivitque Ezechias cum patribus suis, et regnavit Manasses filius ejus pro eo. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃20 וישכב חזקיהו עם אבתיו וימלך מנשה בנו תחתיו פ (Ⅴ)
