And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him.
- La septième année, Jehojada s'anima de courage, et traita alliance avec les chefs de centaines, Azaria, fils de Jerocham, Ismaël, fils de Jochanan, Azaria, fils d'Obed, Maaséja, fils d'Adaja, et Élischaphath, fils de Zicri. And they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.
- Ils parcoururent Juda, et ils rassemblèrent les Lévites de toutes les villes de Juda et les chefs de famille d'Israël; et ils vinrent à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκύκλωσαν τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ συνήγαγον τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ πασω̃ν τω̃ν πόλεων Ιουδα καὶ ἄρχοντας πατριω̃ν του̃ Ισραηλ καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ) - Qui circumeuntes Judam, congregaverunt Levitas de cunctis urbibus Juda, et principes familiarum Israël, veneruntque in Jerusalem. And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.
- Toute l'assemblée traita alliance avec le roi dans la maison de Dieu. Et Jehojada leur dit: Voici, le fils du roi régnera, comme l'Éternel l'a déclaré à l'égard des fils de David. (Ⅱ) - καὶ διέθεντο πα̃σα ἐκκλησία Ιουδα διαθήκην ἐν οἴκω̨ του̃ θεου̃ μετὰ του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἔδειξεν αὐτοι̃ς τὸν υἱὸν του̃ βασιλέως καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς ἰδοὺ ὁ υἱὸς του̃ βασιλέως βασιλευσάτω καθὼς ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐπὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον Δαυιδ (Ⅲ) - Iniit ergo omnis multitudo pactum in domo Dei cum rege, dixitque ad eos Jojada : Ecce filius regis regnabit, sicut locutus est Dominus super filios David. This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors;

Le tiers qui parmi vous entre en service le jour du sabbat, sacrificateurs et Lévites, fera la garde des seuils, (Ⅱ) - νυ̃ν ὁ λόγος οὑ̃τος ὃν ποιήσετε τὸ τρίτον ἐξ ὑμω̃ν εἰσπορευέσθωσαν τὸ σάββατον τω̃ν ἱερέων καὶ τω̃ν Λευιτω̃ν καὶ εἰς τὰς πύλας τω̃ν εἰσόδων (Ⅲ) - Iste est ergo sermo quem facietis : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃23 זה הדבר אשר תעשו השלשית מכם באי השבת לכהנים וללוים לשערי הספים (Ⅴ)

And a third part shall be at the king's house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of the LORD.
- un autre tiers se tiendra dans la maison du roi, et un tiers à la porte de Jesod. Tout le peuple sera dans les parvis de la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τὸ τρίτον ἐν οἴκω̨ του̃ βασιλέως καὶ τὸ τρίτον ἐν τη̨̃ πύλη̨ τη̨̃ μέση̨ καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς ἐν αὐλαι̃ς οἴκου κυρίου (Ⅲ) - tertia pars vestrum qui veniunt ad sabbatum, sacerdotum, et Levitarum, et janitorum erit in portis : tertia vero pars ad domum regis : et tertia ad portam quæ appellatur Fundamenti : omne vero reliquum vulgus sit in atriis domus Domini. But let none come into the house of the LORD, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD.
- Que personne n'entre dans la maison de l'Éternel, excepté les sacrificateurs et les Lévites de service: ils entreront, car ils sont saints. Et tout le peuple fera la garde de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ μὴ εἰσελθέτω εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου ἐὰν μὴ οἱ ἱερει̃ς καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται καὶ οἱ λειτουργου̃ντες τω̃ν Λευιτω̃ν αὐτοὶ εἰσελεύσονται ὅτι ἅγιοί εἰσιν καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς φυλασσέτω φυλακὰς κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Nec quispiam alius ingrediatur domum Domini, nisi sacerdotes, et qui ministrant de Levitis : ipsi tantummodo ingrediantur, quia sanctificati sunt : et omne reliquum vulgus observet custodias Domini. And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.
- Les Lévites entoureront le roi de toutes parts, chacun les armes à la main, et l'on donnera la mort à quiconque entrera dans la maison: vous serez près du roi quand il entrera et quand il sortira. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κυκλώσουσιν οἱ Λευι̃ται τὸν βασιλέα κύκλω̨ ἀνδρὸς σκευ̃ος ἐν χειρὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον ἀποθανει̃ται καὶ ἔσονται μετὰ του̃ βασιλέως εἰσπορευομένου καὶ ἐκπορευομένου (Ⅲ) - Levitæ autem circumdent regem, habentes singuli arma sua (et siquis alius ingressus fuerit templum, interficiatur), sintque cum rege et intrante et egrediente.\ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃23 והקיפו הלוים את המלך סביב איש וכליו בידו והבא אל הבית יומת והיו את המלך בבאו ובצאתו (Ⅴ)

So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.
- Les Lévites et tout Juda exécutèrent tous les ordres qu'avait donnés le sacrificateur Jehojada. Ils prirent chacun leurs gens, ceux qui entraient en service et ceux qui sortaient de service le jour du sabbat; car le sacrificateur Jehojada n'avait exempté aucune des divisions. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ Λευι̃ται καὶ πα̃ς Ιουδα κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεύς καὶ ἔλαβον ἕκαστος τοὺς ἄνδρας αὐτου̃ ἀπ' ἀρχη̃ς του̃ σαββάτου ἕως ἐξόδου του̃ σαββάτου ὅτι οὐ κατέλυσεν Ιωδαε τὰς ἐφημερίας (Ⅲ) - Fecerunt ergo Levitæ, et universus Juda, juxta omnia quæ præceperat Jojada pontifex : et assumpserunt singuli viros qui sub se erant, et veniebant per ordinem sabbati, cum his qui impleverant sabbatum et egressuri erant : siquidem Jojada pontifex non dimiserat abire turmas quæ sibi per singulas hebdomadas succedere consueverant. Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David's, which were in the house of God.
- Le sacrificateur Jehojada remit aux chefs de centaines les lances et les boucliers, grands et petits, qui provenaient du roi David, et qui se trouvaient dans la maison de Dieu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔδωκεν τὰς μαχαίρας καὶ τοὺς θυρεοὺς καὶ τὰ ὅπλα ἃ ἠ̃ν του̃ βασιλέως Δαυιδ ἐν οἴκω̨ του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅲ) - Deditque Jojada sacerdos centurionibus lanceas, clypeosque et peltas regis David, quas consecraverat in domo Domini. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃23 ויתן יהוידע הכהן לשרי המאות את החניתים ואת המגנות ואת השלטים אשר למלך דויד אשר בית האלהים (Ⅴ)

And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.
- Il fit entourer le roi en plaçant tout le peuple, chacun les armes à la main, depuis le côté droit jusqu'au côté gauche de la maison, près de l'autel et près de la maison. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔστησεν πάντα τὸν λαόν ἕκαστον ἐν τοι̃ς ὅπλοις αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ τη̃ς ὠμίας του̃ οἴκου τη̃ς δεξια̃ς ἕως τη̃ς ὠμίας τη̃ς ἀριστερα̃ς του̃ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ του̃ οἴκου ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα κύκλω̨ (Ⅲ) - Constituitque omnem populum tenentium pugiones a parte templi dextra, usque ad partem templi sinistram, coram altari et templo, per circuitum regis. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃23 ויעמד את כל העם ואיש שלחו בידו מכתף הבית הימנית עד כתף הבית השמאלית למזבח ולבית על המלך סביב (Ⅴ)

Then they brought out the king's son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king.
- On fit avancer le fils du roi, on mit sur lui le diadème et le témoignage, et on l'établit roi. Et Jehojada et ses fils l'oignirent, et ils dirent: Vive le roi! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξήγαγεν τὸν υἱὸν του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐπ' αὐτὸν τὸ βασίλειον καὶ τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν καὶ ἔχρισαν αὐτὸν Ιωδαε καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃παν ζήτω ὁ βασιλεύς (Ⅲ) - Et eduxerunt filium regis, et imposuerunt ei diadema et testimonium, dederuntque in manu ejus tenendam legem, et constituerunt eum regem : unxit quoque illum Jojada pontifex, et filii ejus : imprecatique sunt ei, atque dixerunt : Vivat rex. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃23 ויוציאו את בן המלך ויתנו עליו את הנזר ואת העדות וימליכו אתו וימשחהו יהוידע ובניו ויאמרו יחי המלך ס (Ⅴ)

Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD:
- Athalie entendit le bruit du peuple accourant et célébrant le roi, et elle vint vers le peuple à la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἤκουσεν Γοθολια τὴν φωνὴν του̃ λαου̃ τω̃ν τρεχόντων καὶ ἐξομολογουμένων καὶ αἰνούντων τὸν βασιλέα καὶ εἰση̃λθεν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Quod cum audisset Athalia, vocem scilicet currentium atque laudantium regem, ingressa est ad populum in templum Domini. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃23 ותשמע עתליהו את קול העם הרצים והמהללים את המלך ותבוא אל העם בית יהוה (Ⅴ)

And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of music, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.

Et voici, le roi se tenait sur son estrade à l'entrée; les chefs et les trompettes étaient près du roi; tout le peuple du pays était dans la joie, et l'on sonnait des trompettes, et les chantres avec les instruments de musique dirigeaient les chants de louanges. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃δεν καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐπὶ τη̃ς στάσεως αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπὶ τη̃ς εἰσόδου οἱ ἄρχοντες καὶ αἱ σάλπιγγες περὶ τὸν βασιλέα καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς ηὐφράνθη καὶ ἐσάλπισαν ἐν ται̃ς σάλπιγξιν καὶ οἱ ἄ̨δοντες ἐν τοι̃ς ὀργάνοις ὠ̨δοὶ καὶ ὑμνου̃ντες αἰ̃νον καὶ διέρρηξεν Γοθολια τὴν στολὴν αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐβόησεν καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐπιτιθέμενοι ἐπιτίθεσθε (Ⅲ) - Cumque vidisset regem stantem super gradum in introitu, et principes, turmasque circa eum, omnemque populum terræ gaudentem, atque clangentem tubis, et diversi generis organis concinentem, vocemque laudantium, scidit vestimenta sua, et ait : Insidiæ, insidiæ. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃23 ותרא והנה המלך עומד על עמודו במבוא והשרים והחצצרות על המלך וכל עם הארץ שמח ותוקע בחצצרות והמשוררים בכלי השיר ומודיעים להלל ותקרע עתליהו את בגדיה ותאמר קשר קשר ס (Ⅴ)

Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.
- Alors le sacrificateur Jehojada, faisant approcher les chefs de centaines qui étaient à la tête de l'armée, leur dit: Faites-la sortir en dehors des rangs, et que l'on tue par l'épée quiconque la suivra. Car le sacrificateur avait dit: Ne la mettez pas à mort dans la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεύς καὶ ἐνετείλατο Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεὺς τοι̃ς ἑκατοντάρχοις καὶ τοι̃ς ἀρχηγοι̃ς τη̃ς δυνάμεως καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς ἐκβάλετε αὐτὴν ἐκτὸς του̃ οἴκου καὶ εἰσέλθατε ὀπίσω αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἀποθανέτω μαχαίρα̨ ὅτι εἰ̃πεν ὁ ἱερεύς μὴ ἀποθανέτω ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Egressus autem Jojada pontifex ad centuriones et principes exercitus, dixit eis : Educite illam extra septa templi, et interficiatur foris gladio. Præcepitque sacerdos ne occideretur in domo Domini, (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃23 ויוצא יהוידע הכהן את שרי המאות פקודי החיל ויאמר אלהם הוציאוה אל מבית השדרות והבא אחריה יומת בחרב כי אמר הכהן לא תמיתוה בית יהוה (Ⅴ)

So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there.
- On lui fit place, et elle se rendit à la maison du roi par l'entrée de la porte des chevaux: c'est là qu'ils lui donnèrent la mort. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτη̨̃ ἄνεσιν καὶ διη̃λθεν διὰ τη̃ς πύλης τω̃ν ἱππέων του̃ οἴκου του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἐθανάτωσαν αὐτὴν ἐκει̃ (Ⅲ) - et imposuerunt cervicibus ejus manus : cumque intrasset portam equorum domus regis, interfecerunt eam ibi.\ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃23 וישימו לה ידים ותבוא אל מבוא שער הסוסים בית המלך וימיתוה שם פ (Ⅴ)

And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the LORD's people.
- Jehojada traita entre lui, tout le peuple et le roi, une alliance par laquelle ils devaient être le peuple de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ διέθετο Ιωδαε διαθήκην ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτου̃ καὶ του̃ λαου̃ καὶ του̃ βασιλέως εἰ̃ναι λαὸν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ (Ⅲ) - Pepigit autem Jojada fœdus inter se, universumque populum, et regem, ut esset populus Domini. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃23 ויכרת יהוידע ברית בינו ובין כל העם ובין המלך להיות לעם ליהוה (Ⅴ)

Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down, and brake his altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
- Tout le peuple entra dans la maison de Baal, et ils la démolirent; ils brisèrent ses autels et ses images, et ils tuèrent devant les autels Matthan, prêtre de Baal. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰση̃λθεν πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς τη̃ς γη̃ς εἰς οἰ̃κον Βααλ καὶ κατέσπασαν αὐτὸν καὶ τὰ θυσιαστήρια καὶ τὰ εἴδωλα αὐτου̃ ἐλέπτυναν καὶ τὸν Ματθαν ἱερέα τη̃ς Βααλ ἐθανάτωσαν ἐναντίον τω̃ν θυσιαστηρίων αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Itaque ingressus est omnis populus domum Baal, et destruxerunt eam, et altaria ac simulacra illius confregerunt : Mathan quoque sacerdotem Baal interfecerunt ante aras. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃23 ויבאו כל העם בית הבעל ויתצהו ואת מזבחתיו ואת צלמיו שברו ואת מתן כהן הבעל הרגו לפני המזבחות (Ⅴ)

Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David.
- Jehojada remit les fonctions de la maison de l'Éternel entre les mains des sacrificateurs, des Lévites, que David avait distribués dans la maison de l'Éternel pour qu'ils offrissent des holocaustes à l'Éternel, comme il est écrit dans la loi de Moïse, au milieu des réjouissances et des chants, d'après les ordonnances de David. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐνεχείρησεν Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεὺς τὰ ἔργα οἴκου κυρίου διὰ χειρὸς ἱερέων καὶ Λευιτω̃ν καὶ ἀνέστησεν τὰς ἐφημερίας τω̃ν ἱερέων καὶ τω̃ν Λευιτω̃ν ἃς διέστειλεν Δαυιδ ἐπὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον κυρίου καὶ ἀνενέγκαι ὁλοκαυτώματα κυρίω̨ καθὼς γέγραπται ἐν νόμω̨ Μωυση̃ ἐν εὐφροσύνη̨ καὶ ἐν ὠ̨δαι̃ς διὰ χειρὸς Δαυιδ (Ⅲ) - Constituit autem Jojada præpositos in domo Domini sub manibus sacerdotum et Levitarum quos distribuit David in domo Domini, ut offerrent holocausta Domino, sicut scriptum est in lege Moysi, in gaudio et canticis, juxta dispositionem David. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃23 וישם יהוידע פקדת בית יהוה ביד הכהנים הלוים אשר חלק דויד על בית יהוה להעלות עלות יהוה ככתוב בתורת משה בשמחה ובשיר על ידי דויד (Ⅴ)

And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD, that none which was unclean in any thing should enter in.
- Il plaça les portiers aux portes de la maison de l'Éternel, afin qu'il n'entrât aucune personne souillée de quelque manière que ce fût. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ πυλωροὶ ἐπὶ τὰς πύλας οἴκου κυρίου καὶ οὐκ εἰσελεύσεται ἀκάθαρτος εἰς πα̃ν πρα̃γμα (Ⅲ) - Constituit quoque janitores in portis domus Domini, ut non ingrederetur eam immundus in omni re. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃23 ויעמד השוערים על שערי בית יהוה ולא יבא טמא לכל דבר (Ⅴ)

And he took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the house of the LORD: and they came through the high gate into the king's house, and set the king upon the throne of the kingdom.
- Il prit les chefs de centaines, les hommes considérés, ceux qui avaient autorité parmi le peuple, et tout le peuple du pays, et il fit descendre le roi de la maison de l'Éternel. Ils entrèrent dans la maison du roi par la porte supérieure, et ils firent asseoir le roi sur le trône royal. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔλαβεν τοὺς πατριάρχας καὶ τοὺς δυνατοὺς καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας του̃ λαου̃ καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ ἀνεβίβασαν τὸν βασιλέα εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου καὶ εἰση̃λθεν διὰ τη̃ς πύλης τη̃ς ἐσωτέρας εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἐκάθισαν τὸν βασιλέα ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον τη̃ς βασιλείας (Ⅲ) - Assumpsitque centuriones, et fortissimos viros, ac principes populi, et omne vulgus terræ, et fecerunt descendere regem de domo Domini, et introire per medium portæ superioris in domum regis, et collocaverunt eum in solio regali. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃23 ויקח את שרי המאות ואת האדירים ואת המושלים בעם ואת כל עם הארץ ויורד את המלך מבית יהוה ויבאו בתוך שער העליון בית המלך ויושיבו את המלך על כסא הממלכה (Ⅴ)
