40. 1

In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.

- La vingt-cinquième année de notre captivité, au commencement de l'année, le dixième jour du mois, quatorze ans après la ruine de la ville, en ce même jour, la main de l'Éternel fut sur moi, et il me transporta dans le pays d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ πέμπτω̨ καὶ εἰκοστω̨̃ ἔτει τη̃ς αἰχμαλωσίας ἡμω̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ πρώτω̨ μηνὶ δεκάτη̨ του̃ μηνὸς ἐν τω̨̃ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτω̨ ἔτει μετὰ τὸ ἁλω̃ναι τὴν πόλιν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἐγένετο ἐπ' ἐμὲ χεὶρ κυρίου καὶ ἤγαγέν με (Ⅲ)

- In vigesimo quinto anno transmigrationis nostræ, in exordio anni, decima mensis, quartodecimo anno postquam percussa est civitas, in ipsa hac die, facta est super me manus Domini, et adduxit me illuc. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃40 בעשרים וחמש שנה לגלותנו בראש השנה בעשור לחדש בארבע עשרה שנה אחר אשר הכתה העיר בעצם היום הזה היתה עלי יד יהוה ויבא אתי שמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 2

In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.

- Il m'y transporta, dans des visions divines, et me déposa sur une montagne très élevée, où se trouvait au midi comme une ville construite. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν ὁράσει θεου̃ εἰς τὴν γη̃ν του̃ Ισραηλ καὶ ἔθηκέν με ἐπ' ὄρους ὑψηλου̃ σφόδρα καὶ ἐπ' αὐτου̃ ὡσεὶ οἰκοδομὴ πόλεως ἀπέναντι (Ⅲ)

- In visionibus Dei adduxit me in terram Israël, et dimisit me super montem excelsum nimis, super quem erat quasi ædificium civitatis vergentis ad austrum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃40 במראות אלהים הביאני אל ארץ ישראל ויניחני אל הר גבה מאד ועליו כמבנה עיר מנגב ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 3

And he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.

- Il me conduisit là; et voici, il y avait un homme dont l'aspect était comme l'aspect de l'airain; il avait dans la main un cordeau de lin et une canne pour mesurer, et il se tenait à la porte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰσήγαγέν με ἐκει̃ καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνήρ καὶ ἡ ὅρασις αὐτου̃ ἠ̃ν ὡσεὶ ὅρασις χαλκου̃ στίλβοντος καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ χειρὶ αὐτου̃ ἠ̃ν σπαρτίον οἰκοδόμων καὶ κάλαμος μέτρου καὶ αὐτὸς εἱστήκει ἐπὶ τη̃ς πύλης (Ⅲ)

- Et introduxit me illuc : et ecce vir cujus erat species quasi species æris, et funiculus lineus in manu ejus, et calamus mensuræ in manu ejus : stabat autem in porta. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃40 ויביא אותי שמה והנה איש מראהו כמראה נחשת ופתיל פשתים בידו וקנה המדה והוא עמד בשער ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 4

And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

- Cet homme me dit: Fils de l'homme, regarde de tes yeux, et écoute de tes oreilles! Applique ton attention à toutes les choses que je te montrerai, car tu as été amené ici afin que je te les montre. Fais connaître à la maison d'Israël tout ce que tu verras. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ὁ ἀνήρ ἑώρακας υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἐν τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου ἰδὲ καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς ὠσίν σου ἄκουε καὶ τάξον εἰς τὴν καρδίαν σου πάντα ὅσα ἐγὼ δεικνύω σοι διότι ἕνεκα του̃ δει̃ξαί σοι εἰσελήλυθας ὡ̃δε καὶ δείξεις πάντα ὅσα σὺ ὁρα̨̃ς τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ του̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Et locutus est ad me idem vir : Fili hominis, vide oculis tuis, et auribus tuis audi, et pone cor tuum in omnia quæ ego ostendam tibi, quia ut ostendantur tibi adductus es huc. Annuntia omnia quæ tu vides domui Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃40 וידבר אלי האיש בן אדם ראה בעיניך ובאזניך שמע ושים לבך לכל אשר אני מראה אותך כי למען הראותכה הבאתה הנה הגד את כל אשר אתה ראה לבית ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 5

And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits long by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

- Voici, un mur extérieur entourait la maison de tous côtés. Dans la main de l'homme était une canne de six coudées pour mesurer, chaque coudée ayant un palme de plus que la coudée ordinaire. Il mesura la largeur du mur, qui était d'une canne, et la hauteur, qui était d'une canne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἰδοὺ περίβολος ἔξωθεν του̃ οἴκου κύκλω̨ καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ χειρὶ του̃ ἀνδρὸς κάλαμος τὸ μέτρον πηχω̃ν ἓξ ἐν πήχει καὶ παλαιστη̃ς καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ προτείχισμα πλάτος ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ καὶ τὸ ὕψος αὐτου̃ ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Et ecce murus forinsecus in circuitu domus undique : et in manu viri calamus mensuræ sex cubitorum et palmo : et mensus est latitudinem ædificii calamo uno, altitudinem quoque calamo uno. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃40 והנה חומה מחוץ לבית סביב סביב וביד האיש קנה המדה שש אמות באמה וטפח וימד את רחב הבנין קנה אחד וקומה קנה אחד ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 6

Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad; and the other threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad.

- Il alla vers la porte orientale, et il en monta les degrés. Il mesura le seuil de la porte, qui avait une canne en largeur, et l'autre seuil, qui avait une canne en largeur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰση̃λθεν εἰς τὴν πύλην τὴν βλέπουσαν κατὰ ἀνατολὰς ἐν ἑπτὰ ἀναβαθμοι̃ς καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ αιλαμ τη̃ς πύλης ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Et venit ad portam quæ respiciebat viam orientalem, et ascendit per gradus ejus : et mensus est limen portæ calamo uno latitudinem, id est, limen unum calamo uno in latitudine. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃40 ויבוא אל שער אשר פניו דרך הקדימה ויעל *במעלותו **במעלותיו וימד את סף השער קנה אחד רחב ואת סף אחד קנה אחד רחב ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 7

And every little chamber was one reed long, and one reed broad; and between the little chambers were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within was one reed.

- Chaque chambre était longue d'une canne, et large d'une canne. Il y avait entre les chambres un espace de cinq coudées. Le seuil de la porte, près du vestibule de la porte, à l'intérieur, avait une canne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ θεε ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ τὸ μη̃κος καὶ ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ τὸ πλάτος καὶ τὸ αιλαμ ἀνὰ μέσον του̃ θαιηλαθα πηχω̃ν ἓξ καὶ τὸ θεε τὸ δεύτερον ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ τὸ πλάτος καὶ ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ τὸ μη̃κος καὶ τὸ αιλαμ πήχεων πέντε (Ⅲ)

- Et thalamum uno calamo in longum, et uno calamo in latum : et inter thalamos, quinque cubitos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃40 והתא קנה אחד ארך וקנה אחד רחב ובין התאים חמש אמות וסף השער מאצל אולם השער מהבית קנה אחד ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 8

He measured also the porch of the gate within, one reed.

- Il mesura le vestibule de la porte, à l'intérieur; il avait une canne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ θεε τὸ τρίτον ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ τὸ πλάτος καὶ ἴσον τω̨̃ καλάμω̨ τὸ μη̃κος (Ⅲ)

- Et limen portæ, juxta vestibulum portæ intrinsecus, calamo uno. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃40 וימד את אלם השער מהבית קנה אחד ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 9

Then measured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was inward.

- Il mesura le vestibule de la porte; il avait huit coudées, et ses poteaux en avaient deux; le vestibule de la porte était en dedans. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ αιλαμ του̃ πυλω̃νος πλησίον του̃ αιλαμ τη̃ς πύλης πηχω̃ν ὀκτὼ καὶ τὰ αιλευ πηχω̃ν δύο καὶ τὸ αιλαμ τη̃ς πύλης ἔσωθεν (Ⅲ)

- Et mensus est vestibulum portæ octo cubitorum, et frontem ejus duobus cubitis : vestibulum autem portæ erat intrinsecus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃40 וימד את אלם השער שמנה אמות *ואילו **ואיליו שתים אמות ואלם השער מהבית ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 10

And the little chambers of the gate eastward were three on this side, and three on that side; they three were of one measure: and the posts had one measure on this side and on that side.

- Les chambres de la porte orientale étaient au nombre de trois d'un côté et de trois de l'autre; toutes les trois avaient la même mesure, et les poteaux de chaque côté avaient aussi la même mesure. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ θεε τη̃ς πύλης θεε κατέναντι τρει̃ς ἔνθεν καὶ τρει̃ς ἔνθεν καὶ μέτρον ἓν τοι̃ς τρισὶν καὶ μέτρον ἓν τοι̃ς αιλαμ ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν (Ⅲ)

- Porro thalami portæ ad viam orientalem, tres hinc et tres inde : mensura una trium, et mensura una frontium ex utraque parte. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃40 ותאי השער דרך הקדים שלשה מפה ושלשה מפה מדה אחת לשלשתם ומדה אחת לאילם מפה ומפו ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 11

And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.

- Il mesura la largeur de l'ouverture de la porte, qui était de dix coudées, et la hauteur de la porte, qui était de treize coudées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ πλάτος τη̃ς θύρας του̃ πυλω̃νος πηχω̃ν δέκα καὶ τὸ εὐ̃ρος του̃ πυλω̃νος πηχω̃ν δέκα τριω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Et mensus est latitudinem liminis portæ decem cubitorum, et longitudinem portæ tredecim cubitorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃40 וימד את רחב פתח השער עשר אמות ארך השער שלוש עשרה אמות ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 12

The space also before the little chambers was one cubit on this side, and the space was one cubit on that side: and the little chambers were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.

- Il y avait devant les chambres un espace d'une coudée de chaque côté et d'autre; chaque chambre avait six coudées d'un côté, et six coudées de l'autre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πη̃χυς ἐπισυναγόμενος ἐπὶ πρόσωπον τω̃ν θεϊμ ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν καὶ τὸ θεε πηχω̃ν ἓξ ἔνθεν καὶ πηχω̃ν ἓξ ἔνθεν (Ⅲ)

- Et marginem ante thalamos, cubiti unius, et cubitus unus finis utrimque : thalami autem sex cubitorum erant hinc et inde. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃40 וגבול לפני התאות אמה אחת ואמה אחת גבול מפה והתא שש אמות מפו ושש אמות מפו ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 13

He measured then the gate from the roof of one little chamber to the roof of another: the breadth was five and twenty cubits, door against door.

- Il mesura la porte depuis le toit d'une chambre jusqu'au toit de l'autre; il y avait une largeur de vingt-cinq coudées entre les deux ouvertures opposées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὴν πύλην ἀπὸ του̃ τοίχου του̃ θεε ἐπὶ τὸν τοι̃χον του̃ θεε πλάτος πήχεις εἴκοσι πέντε αὕτη πύλη ἐπὶ πύλην (Ⅲ)

- Et mensus est portam a tecto thalami usque ad tectum ejus, latitudinem viginti quinque cubitorum, ostium contra ostium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃40 וימד את השער מגג התא לגגו רחב עשרים וחמש אמות פתח נגד פתח ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 14

He made also posts of threescore cubits, even unto the post of the court round about the gate.

- Il compta soixante coudées pour les poteaux, près desquels était une cour, autour de la porte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ αἴθριον του̃ αιλαμ τη̃ς πύλης ἑξήκοντα πήχεις εἴκοσι θεϊμ τη̃ς πύλης κύκλω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Et fecit frontes per sexaginta cubitos, et ad frontem atrium portæ undique per circuitum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃40 ויעש את אילים ששים אמה ואל איל החצר השער סביב סביב ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 15

And from the face of the gate of the entrance unto the face of the porch of the inner gate were fifty cubits.

- L'espace entre la porte d'entrée et le vestibule de la porte intérieure était de cinquante coudées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ αἴθριον τη̃ς πύλης ἔξωθεν εἰς τὸ αἴθριον αιλαμ τη̃ς πύλης ἔσωθεν πηχω̃ν πεντήκοντα (Ⅲ)

- Et ante faciem portæ quæ pertingebat usque ad faciem vestibuli portæ interioris, quinquaginta cubitos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃40 ועל פני השער *היאתון **האיתון על לפני אלם השער הפנימי חמשים אמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 16

And there were narrow windows to the little chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the arches: and windows were round about inward: and upon each post were palm trees.

- Il y avait des fenêtres grillées aux chambres et à leurs poteaux à l'intérieur de la porte tout autour; il y avait aussi des fenêtres dans les vestibules tout autour intérieurement; des palmes étaient sculptées sur les poteaux. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ θυρίδες κρυπταὶ ἐπὶ τὰ θεϊμ καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ αιλαμ ἔσωθεν τη̃ς πύλης τη̃ς αὐλη̃ς κυκλόθεν καὶ ὡσαύτως τοι̃ς αιλαμ θυρίδες κύκλω̨ ἔσωθεν καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ αιλαμ φοίνικες ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν (Ⅲ)

- Et fenestras obliquas in thalamis et in frontibus eorum, quæ erant intra portam undique per circuitum : similiter autem erant et in vestibulis fenestræ per gyrum intrinsecus, et ante frontes pictura palmarum.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃40 וחלנות אטמות אל התאים ואל אליהמה לפנימה לשער סביב סביב וכן לאלמות וחלונות סביב סביב לפנימה ואל איל תמרים ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 17

Then brought he me into the outward court, and, lo, there were chambers, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty chambers were upon the pavement.

- Il me conduisit dans le parvis extérieur, où se trouvaient des chambres et un pavé tout autour; il y avait trente chambres sur ce pavé. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰσήγαγέν με εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν ἐσωτέραν καὶ ἰδοὺ παστοφόρια καὶ περίστυλα κύκλω̨ τη̃ς αὐλη̃ς τριάκοντα παστοφόρια ἐν τοι̃ς περιστύλοις (Ⅲ)

- Et eduxit me ad atrium exterius : et ecce gazophylacia, et pavimentum stratum lapide in atrio per circuitum : triginta gazophylacia in circuitu pavimenti. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃40 ויביאני אל החצר החיצונה והנה לשכות ורצפה עשוי לחצר סביב סביב שלשים לשכות אל הרצפה ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 18

And the pavement by the side of the gates over against the length of the gates was the lower pavement.

- Le pavé était au côté des portes, et répondait à la longueur des portes; c'était le pavé inférieur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ αἱ στοαὶ κατὰ νώτου τω̃ν πυλω̃ν κατὰ τὸ μη̃κος τω̃ν πυλω̃ν τὸ περίστυλον τὸ ὑποκάτω (Ⅲ)

- Et pavimentum in fronte portarum, secundum longitudinem portarum erat inferius. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃40 והרצפה אל כתף השערים לעמת ארך השערים הרצפה התחתונה ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 19

Then he measured the breadth from the forefront of the lower gate unto the forefront of the inner court without, an hundred cubits eastward and northward.

- Il mesura la largeur depuis la porte d'en bas jusqu'au parvis intérieur en dehors; il y avait cent coudées, à l'orient et au septentrion. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ πλάτος τη̃ς αὐλη̃ς ἀπὸ του̃ αἰθρίου τη̃ς πύλης τη̃ς ἐξωτέρας ἔσωθεν ἐπὶ τὸ αἴθριον τη̃ς πύλης τη̃ς βλεπούσης ἔξω πήχεις ἑκατόν τη̃ς βλεπούσης κατ' ἀνατολάς καὶ εἰσήγαγέν με ἐπὶ βορρα̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Et mensus est latitudinem a facie portæ inferioris usque ad frontem atrii interioris extrinsecus : centum cubitos ad orientem et ad aquilonem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃40 וימד רחב מלפני השער התחתונה לפני החצר הפנימי מחוץ מאה אמה הקדים והצפון ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 20

And the gate of the outward court that looked toward the north, he measured the length thereof, and the breadth thereof.

- Il mesura la longueur et la largeur de la porte septentrionale du parvis extérieur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἰδοὺ πύλη βλέπουσα πρὸς βορρα̃ν τη̨̃ αὐλη̨̃ τη̨̃ ἐξωτέρα̨ καὶ διεμέτρησεν αὐτήν τό τε μη̃κος αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὸ πλάτος (Ⅲ)

- Portam quoque quæ respiciebat viam aquilonis atrii exterioris, mensus est tam in longitudine quam in latitudine. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃40 והשער אשר פניו דרך הצפון לחצר החיצונה מדד ארכו ורחבו ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 21

And the little chambers thereof were three on this side and three on that side; and the posts thereof and the arches thereof were after the measure of the first gate: the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

- Ses chambres, au nombre de trois d'un côté et de trois de l'autre, ses poteaux et ses vestibules, avaient la même mesure que la première porte, cinquante coudées en longueur et vingt-cinq coudées en largeur. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰ θεε τρει̃ς ἔνθεν καὶ τρει̃ς ἔνθεν καὶ τὰ αιλευ καὶ τὰ αιλαμμω καὶ τοὺς φοίνικας αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐγένετο κατὰ τὰ μέτρα τη̃ς πύλης τη̃ς βλεπούσης κατὰ ἀνατολὰς πηχω̃ν πεντήκοντα τὸ μη̃κος αὐτη̃ς καὶ πηχω̃ν εἴκοσι πέντε τὸ εὐ̃ρος αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Et thalamos ejus tres hinc et tres inde, et frontem ejus et vestibulum ejus secundum mensuram portæ prioris, quinquaginta cubitorum longitudinem ejus, et latitudinem viginti quinque cubitorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃40 *ותאו **ותאיו שלושה מפו ושלשה מפו *ואילו **ואיליו *ואלמו **ואלמיו היה כמדת השער הראשון חמשים אמה ארכו ורחב חמש ועשרים באמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 22

And their windows, and their arches, and their palm trees, were after the measure of the gate that looketh toward the east; and they went up unto it by seven steps; and the arches thereof were before them.

- Ses fenêtres, son vestibule, ses palmes, avaient la même mesure que la porte orientale; on y montait par sept degrés, devant lesquels était son vestibule. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ αἱ θυρίδες αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὰ αιλαμμω καὶ οἱ φοίνικες αὐτη̃ς καθὼς ἡ πύλη ἡ βλέπουσα κατὰ ἀνατολάς καὶ ἐν ἑπτὰ κλιμακτη̃ρσιν ἀνέβαινον ἐπ' αὐτήν καὶ τὰ αιλαμμω ἔσωθεν (Ⅲ)

- Fenestræ autem ejus, et vestibulum, et sculpturæ secundum mensuram portæ quæ respiciebat ad orientem : et septem graduum erat ascensus ejus, et vestibulum ante eam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃40 *וחלונו **וחלוניו *ואלמו **ואלמיו *ותמרו **ותמריו כמדת השער אשר פניו דרך הקדים ובמעלות שבע יעלו בו *ואילמו **ואילמיו לפניהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 23

And the gate of the inner court was over against the gate toward the north, and toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate an hundred cubits.

- Il y avait une porte au parvis intérieur, vis-à-vis de la porte septentrionale et vis-à-vis de la porte orientale; il mesura d'une porte à l'autre cent coudées. (Ⅱ)

- Et porta atrii interioris contra portam aquilonis et orientalem : et mensus est a porta usque ad portam centum cubitos.\ (Ⅳ)

After that he brought me toward the south, and behold a gate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereof and the arches thereof according to these measures.

- Il me conduisit du côté du midi, où se trouvait la porte méridionale. Il en mesura les poteaux et les vestibules, qui avaient la même mesure. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤγαγέν με κατὰ νότον καὶ ἰδοὺ πύλη βλέπουσα πρὸς νότον καὶ διεμέτρησεν αὐτὴν καὶ τὰ θεε καὶ τὰ αιλευ καὶ τὰ αιλαμμω κατὰ τὰ μέτρα ταυ̃τα (Ⅲ)

- Et eduxit me ad viam australem : et ecce porta quæ respiciebat ad austrum : et mensus est frontem ejus et vestibulum ejus juxta mensuras superiores. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃40 ויולכני דרך הדרום והנה שער דרך הדרום ומדד *אילו **איליו *ואילמו **ואילמיו כמדות האלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 25

And there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

- Cette porte et ses vestibules avaient des fenêtres tout autour, comme les autres fenêtres, cinquante coudées en longueur et vingt-cinq coudées en largeur. (Ⅱ)

- Et fenestras ejus, et vestibula in circuitu, sicut fenestras ceteras : quinquaginta cubitorum longitudine, et latitudine viginti quinque cubitorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃40 וחלונים לו *ולאילמו **ולאילמיו סביב סביב כהחלנות האלה חמשים אמה ארך ורחב חמש ועשרים אמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And there were seven steps to go up to it, and the arches thereof were before them: and it had palm trees, one on this side, and another on that side, upon the posts thereof.

- On y montait par sept degrés, devant lesquels était son vestibule; il y avait de chaque côté des palmes sur ses poteaux. (Ⅱ)

- Et in gradibus septem ascendebatur ad eam, et vestibulum ante fores ejus : et cælatæ palmæ erant, una hinc, et altera inde, in fronte ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃40 ומעלות שבעה *עלותו **עלותיו *ואלמו **ואלמיו לפניהם ותמרים לו אחד מפו ואחד מפו אל *אילו **איליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

And there was a gate in the inner court toward the south: and he measured from gate to gate toward the south an hundred cubits.

- Le parvis intérieur avait une porte du côté du midi; il mesura d'une porte à l'autre au midi cent coudées. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ πύλη κατέναντι πύλης τη̃ς αὐλη̃ς τη̃ς ἐσωτέρας πρὸς νότον καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὴν αὐλὴν ἀπὸ πύλης ἐπὶ πύλην πήχεις ἑκατὸν τὸ εὐ̃ρος πρὸς νότον (Ⅲ)

And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate: and he measured the south gate according to these measures;

And the arches round about were five and twenty cubits long, and five cubits broad.

And the arches thereof were toward the utter court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof: and the going up to it had eight steps.

- Les vestibules de la porte aboutissaient au parvis extérieur; il y avait des palmes sur ses poteaux, et huit degrés pour y monter. (Ⅱ)

And he brought me into the inner court toward the east: and he measured the gate according to these measures.

- καὶ εἰσήγαγέν με εἰς τὴν πύλην τὴν βλέπουσαν κατὰ ἀνατολὰς καὶ διεμέτρησεν αὐτὴν κατὰ τὰ μέτρα ταυ̃τα (Ⅲ)

And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, were according to these measures: and there were windows therein and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

And the arches thereof were toward the outward court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof, on this side, and on that side: and the going up to it had eight steps.

And the chambers and the entries thereof were by the posts of the gates, where they washed the burnt offering.

- Il y avait une chambre qui s'ouvrait vers les poteaux des portes, et où l'on devait laver les holocaustes. (Ⅱ)

- τὰ παστοφόρια αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὰ θυρώματα αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὰ αιλαμμω αὐτη̃ς ἐπὶ τη̃ς πύλης (Ⅲ)

- Et per singula gazophylacia ostium in frontibus portarum : ibi lavabant holocaustum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 38 ׃40 ולשכה ופתחה באילים השערים שם ידיחו את העלה ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 39

And in the porch of the gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slay thereon the burnt offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering.

- Dans le vestibule de la porte se trouvaient de chaque côté deux tables, sur lesquelles on devait égorger l'holocauste, le sacrifice d'expiation et le sacrifice de culpabilité. (Ⅱ)

- τη̃ς δευτέρας ἔκρυσις ὅπως σφάζωσιν ἐν αὐτη̨̃ τὰ ὑπὲρ ἁμαρτίας καὶ ὑπὲρ ἀγνοίας (Ⅲ)

- Et in vestibulo portæ, duæ mensæ hinc, et duæ mensæ inde, ut immoletur super eas holocaustum, et pro peccato et pro delicto. (Ⅳ)

And at the side without, as one goeth up to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables.

- A l'un des côtés extérieurs par où l'on montait, à l'entrée de la porte septentrionale, il y avait deux tables; et à l'autre côté, vers le vestibule de la porte, il y avait deux tables. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ κατὰ νώτου του̃ ῥόακος τω̃ν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων τη̃ς βλεπούσης πρὸς βορρα̃ν δύο τράπεζαι πρὸς ἀνατολὰς καὶ κατὰ νώτου τη̃ς δευτέρας καὶ του̃ αιλαμ τη̃ς πύλης δύο τράπεζαι κατὰ ἀνατολάς (Ⅲ)

- Et ad latus exterius, quod ascendit ad ostium portæ quæ pergit ad aquilonem, duæ mensæ : et ad latus alterum, ante vestibulum portæ, duæ mensæ : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 40 ׃40 ואל הכתף מחוצה לעולה לפתח השער הצפונה שנים שלחנות ואל הכתף האחרת אשר לאלם השער שנים שלחנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 41

Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they slew their sacrifices.

- Il se trouvait ainsi, aux côtés de la porte, quatre tables d'une part et quatre tables de l'autre, en tout huit tables, sur lesquelles on devait égorger les victimes. (Ⅱ)

- τέσσαρες ἔνθεν καὶ τέσσαρες ἔνθεν κατὰ νώτου τη̃ς πύλης ἐπ' αὐτὰς σφάξουσι τὰ θύματα κατέναντι τω̃ν ὀκτὼ τραπεζω̃ν τω̃ν θυμάτων (Ⅲ)

- quatuor mensæ hinc, et quatuor mensæ inde : per latera portæ octo mensæ erant, super quas immolabant. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 41 ׃40 ארבעה שלחנות מפה וארבעה שלחנות מפה לכתף השער שמונה שלחנות אליהם ישחטו ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 42

And the four tables were of hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice.

- Il y avait encore pour les holocaustes quatre tables en pierres de taille, longues d'une coudée et demie, larges d'une coudée et demie, et hautes d'une coudée; on devait mettre sur ces tables les instruments avec lesquels on égorgeait les victimes pour les holocaustes et pour les autres sacrifices. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τέσσαρες τράπεζαι τω̃ν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων λίθιναι λελαξευμέναι πήχεος καὶ ἡμίσους τὸ πλάτος καὶ πήχεων δύο καὶ ἡμίσους τὸ μη̃κος καὶ ἐπὶ πη̃χυν τὸ ὕψος ἐπ' αὐτὰς ἐπιθήσουσιν τὰ σκεύη ἐν οἱ̃ς σφάζουσιν ἐκει̃ τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ τὰ θύματα (Ⅲ)

- Quatuor autem mensæ ad holocaustum de lapidibus quadris exstructæ, longitudine cubiti unius et dimidii, et latitudine cubiti unius et dimidii, et altitudine cubiti unius : super quas ponant vasa in quibus immolatur holocaustum et victima. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 42 ׃40 וארבעה שלחנות לעולה אבני גזית ארך אמה אחת וחצי ורחב אמה אחת וחצי וגבה אמה אחת אליהם ויניחו את הכלים אשר ישחטו את העולה בם והזבח ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 43

And within were hooks, an hand broad, fastened round about: and upon the tables was the flesh of the offering.

- Des rebords de quatre doigts étaient adaptés à la maison tout autour; et la chair des sacrifices devait être mise sur les tables. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ παλαιστὴν ἕξουσιν γει̃σος λελαξευμένον ἔσωθεν κύκλω̨ καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς τραπέζας ἐπάνωθεν στέγας του̃ καλύπτεσθαι ἀπὸ του̃ ὑετου̃ καὶ ἀπὸ τη̃ς ξηρασίας (Ⅲ)

- Et labia earum palmi unius, reflexa intrinsecus per circuitum : super mensas autem carnes oblationis.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 43 ׃40 והשפתים טפח אחד מוכנים בבית סביב סביב ואל השלחנות בשר הקרבן ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 44

And without the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the north.

- En dehors de la porte intérieure il y avait des chambres pour les chantres, dans le parvis intérieur: l'une était à côté de la porte septentrionale et avait la face au midi, l'autre était à côté de la porte orientale et avait la face au septentrion. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰσήγαγέν με εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν ἐσωτέραν καὶ ἰδοὺ δύο ἐξέδραι ἐν τη̨̃ αὐλη̨̃ τη̨̃ ἐσωτέρα̨ μία κατὰ νώτου τη̃ς πύλης τη̃ς βλεπούσης πρὸς βορρα̃ν φέρουσα πρὸς νότον καὶ μία κατὰ νώτου τη̃ς πύλης τη̃ς πρὸς νότον βλεπούσης δὲ πρὸς βορρα̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Et extra portam interiorem, gazophylacia cantorum in atrio interiori, quod erat in latere portæ respicientis ad aquilonem : et facies eorum contra viam australem : una ex latere portæ orientalis, quæ respiciebat ad viam aquilonis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 44 ׃40 ומחוצה לשער הפנימי לשכות שרים בחצר הפנימי אשר אל כתף שער הצפון ופניהם דרך הדרום אחד אל כתף שער הקדים פני דרך הצפן ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 45

And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.

- Il me dit: Cette chambre, dont la face est au midi, est pour les sacrificateurs qui ont la garde de la maison; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ἡ ἐξέδρα αὕτη ἡ βλέπουσα πρὸς νότον τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σι τοι̃ς φυλάσσουσι τὴν φυλακὴν του̃ οἴκου (Ⅲ)

- Et dixit ad me : Hoc est gazophylacium quod respicit viam meridianam : sacerdotum erit, qui excubant in custodiis templi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 45 ׃40 וידבר אלי זה הלשכה אשר פניה דרך הדרום לכהנים שמרי משמרת הבית ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 46

And the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him.

- et la chambre dont la face est au septentrion est pour les sacrificateurs qui ont la garde de l'autel. Ce sont les fils de Tsadok, qui, parmi les fils de Lévi, s'approchent de l'Éternel pour le servir. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἡ ἐξέδρα ἡ βλέπουσα πρὸς βορρα̃ν τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σι τοι̃ς φυλάσσουσι τὴν φυλακὴν του̃ θυσιαστηρίου ἐκει̃νοί εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Σαδδουκ οἱ ἐγγίζοντες ἐκ του̃ Λευι πρὸς κύριον λειτουργει̃ν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Porro gazophylacium quod respicit ad viam aquilonis, sacerdotum erit, qui excubant ad ministerium altaris : isti sunt filii Sadoc, qui accedunt de filiis Levi ad Dominum ut ministrent ei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 46 ׃40 והלשכה אשר פניה דרך הצפון לכהנים שמרי משמרת המזבח המה בני צדוק הקרבים מבני לוי אל יהוה לשרתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

So he measured the court, an hundred cubits long, and an hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar that was before the house.

- Il mesura le parvis, qui avait cent coudées de longueur et cent coudées de largeur, en carré. L'autel était devant la maison. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὴν αὐλὴν μη̃κος πήχεων ἑκατὸν καὶ εὐ̃ρος πήχεων ἑκατὸν ἐπὶ τὰ τέσσαρα μέρη αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἀπέναντι του̃ οἴκου (Ⅲ)

- Et mensus est atrium longitudine centum cubitorum, et latitudine centum cubitorum per quadrum : et altare ante faciem templi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 47 ׃40 וימד את החצר ארך מאה אמה ורחב מאה אמה מרבעת והמזבח לפני הבית ‬ (Ⅴ)

40. 48

And he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side: and the breadth of the gate was three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.

- Il me conduisit dans le vestibule de la maison. Il mesura les poteaux du vestibule, et trouva cinq coudées d'un côté et cinq coudées de l'autre. La largeur de la porte était de trois coudées d'un côté et de trois coudées de l'autre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰσήγαγέν με εἰς τὸ αιλαμ του̃ οἴκου καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ αιλ του̃ αιλαμ πηχω̃ν πέντε τὸ πλάτος ἔνθεν καὶ πηχω̃ν πέντε ἔνθεν καὶ τὸ εὐ̃ρος του̃ θυρώματος πηχω̃ν δέκα τεσσάρων καὶ ἐπωμίδες τη̃ς θύρας του̃ αιλαμ πηχω̃ν τριω̃ν ἔνθεν καὶ πηχω̃ν τριω̃ν ἔνθεν (Ⅲ)

- Et introduxit me in vestibulum templi : et mensus est vestibulum quinque cubitis hinc, et quinque cubitis inde : et latitudinem portæ trium cubitorum hinc, et trium cubitorum inde. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 48 ׃40 ויבאני אל אלם הבית וימד אל אלם חמש אמות מפה וחמש אמות מפה ורחב השער שלש אמות מפו ושלש אמות מפו ‬ (Ⅴ)

The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits, and he brought me by the steps whereby they went up to it: and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.

- Le vestibule avait une longueur de vingt coudées et une largeur de onze coudées; on y montait par des degrés. Il y avait des colonnes près des poteaux, l'une d'un côté, et l'autre de l'autre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὸ μη̃κος του̃ αιλαμ πηχω̃ν εἴκοσι καὶ τὸ εὐ̃ρος πηχω̃ν δώδεκα καὶ ἐπὶ δέκα ἀναβαθμω̃ν ἀνέβαινον ἐπ' αὐτό καὶ στυ̃λοι ἠ̃σαν ἐπὶ τὸ αιλαμ εἱ̃ς ἔνθεν καὶ εἱ̃ς ἔνθεν (Ⅲ)

- Longitudinem autem vestibuli viginti cubitorum, et latitudinem undecim cubitorum, et octo gradibus ascendebatur ad eam. Et columnæ erant in frontibus : una hinc, et altera inde. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 49 ׃40 ארך האלם עשרים אמה ורחב עשתי עשרה אמה ובמעלות אשר יעלו אליו ועמדים אל האילים אחד מפה ואחד מפה ‬ (Ⅴ)
