18. 1

The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

- Les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, la tribu entière de Lévi, n'auront ni part ni héritage avec Israël; ils se nourriront des sacrifices consumés par le feu en l'honneur de l'Éternel et de l'héritage de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- οὐκ ἔσται τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σιν τοι̃ς Λευίταις ὅλη̨ φυλη̨̃ Λευι μερὶς οὐδὲ κλη̃ρος μετὰ Ισραηλ καρπώματα κυρίου ὁ κλη̃ρος αὐτω̃ν φάγονται αὐτά (Ⅲ)

- Non habebunt sacerdotes et Levitæ, et omnes qui de eadem tribu sunt, partem et hæreditatem cum reliquo Israël, quia sacrificia Domini, et oblationes ejus comedent, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃18 לא יהיה לכהנים הלוים כל שבט לוי חלק ונחלה עם ישראל אשי יהוה ונחלתו יאכלון ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 2

Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

- Ils n'auront point d'héritage au milieu de leurs frères: l'Éternel sera leur héritage, comme il le leur a dit. (Ⅱ)

- κλη̃ρος δὲ οὐκ ἔσται αὐτοι̃ς ἐν τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν κύριος αὐτὸς κλη̃ρος αὐτου̃ καθότι εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- et nihil aliud accipient de possessione fratrum suorum : Dominus enim ipse est hæreditas eorum, sicut locutus est illis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃18 ונחלה לא יהיה לו בקרב אחיו יהוה הוא נחלתו כאשר דבר לו ס‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 3

And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

- Voici quel sera le droit des sacrificateurs sur le peuple, sur ceux qui offriront un sacrifice, un boeuf ou un agneau: on donnera au sacrificateur l'épaule, les mâchoires et l'estomac. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ αὕτη ἡ κρίσις τω̃ν ἱερέων τὰ παρὰ του̃ λαου̃ παρὰ τω̃ν θυόντων τὰ θύματα ἐάν τε μόσχον ἐάν τε πρόβατον καὶ δώσει τω̨̃ ἱερει̃ τὸν βραχίονα καὶ τὰ σιαγόνια καὶ τὸ ἔνυστρον (Ⅲ)

- Hoc erit judicium sacerdotum a populo, et ab his qui offerunt victimas : sive bovem, sive ovem immolaverint, dabunt sacerdoti armum ac ventriculum : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃18 וזה יהיה משפט הכהנים מאת העם מאת זבחי הזבח אם שור אם שה ונתן לכהן הזרע והלחיים והקבה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 4

The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.

- Tu lui donneras les prémices de ton blé, de ton moût et de ton huile, et les prémices de la toison de tes brebis; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τὰς ἀπαρχὰς του̃ σίτου σου καὶ του̃ οἴνου σου καὶ του̃ ἐλαίου σου καὶ τὴν ἀπαρχὴν τω̃ν κουρω̃ν τω̃ν προβάτων σου δώσεις αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- primitias frumenti, vini, et olei, et lanarum partem ex ovium tonsione. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃18 ראשית דגנך תירשך ויצהרך וראשית גז צאנך תתן לו ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 5

For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

- car c'est lui que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, a choisi entre toutes les tribus, pour qu'il fasse le service au nom de l'Éternel, lui et ses fils, à toujours. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι αὐτὸν ἐξελέξατο κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐκ πασω̃ν τω̃ν φυλω̃ν σου παρεστάναι ἔναντι κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου λειτουργει̃ν καὶ εὐλογει̃ν ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματι αὐτου̃ αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ ἐν τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Ipsum enim elegit Dominus Deus tuus de cunctis tribubus tuis, ut stet, et ministret nomini Domini, ipse, et filii ejus in sempiternum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃18 כי בו בחר יהוה אלהיך מכל שבטיך לעמד לשרת בשם יהוה הוא ובניו כל הימים ס‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 6

And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;

- Lorsque le Lévite quittera l'une de tes portes, le lieu quelconque où il demeure en Israël, pour se rendre, selon la plénitude de son désir, au lieu que choisira l'Éternel, (Ⅱ)

- ἐὰν δὲ παραγένηται ὁ Λευίτης ἐκ μια̃ς τω̃ν πόλεων ὑμω̃ν ἐκ πάντων τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ οὑ̃ αὐτὸς παροικει̃ καθότι ἐπιθυμει̃ ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτου̃ εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος (Ⅲ)

- Si exierit Levites ex una urbium tuarum ex omni Israël in qua habitat, et voluerit venire, desiderans locum quem elegerit Dominus, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃18 וכי יבא הלוי מאחד שעריך מכל ישראל אשר הוא גר שם ובא בכל אות נפשו אל המקום אשר יבחר יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 7

Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.

- et qu'il fera le service au nom de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, comme tous ses frères les Lévites qui se tiennent là devant l'Éternel, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ λειτουργήσει τω̨̃ ὀνόματι κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ αὐτου̃ ὥσπερ πάντες οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτου̃ οἱ Λευι̃ται οἱ παρεστηκότες ἐκει̃ ἔναντι κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- ministrabit in nomine Domini Dei sui, sicut omnes fratres ejus Levitæ, qui stabunt eo tempore coram Domino. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃18 ושרת בשם יהוה אלהיו ככל אחיו הלוים העמדים שם לפני יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 8

They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.

- il recevra pour sa nourriture une portion égale à la leur, et jouira, en outre, des revenus de la vente de son patrimoine. (Ⅱ)

- μερίδα μεμερισμένην φάγεται πλὴν τη̃ς πράσεως τη̃ς κατὰ πατριάν (Ⅲ)

- Partem ciborum eamdem accipiet, quam et ceteri : excepto eo, quod in urbe sua ex paterna ei successione debetur.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃18 חלק כחלק יאכלו לבד ממכריו על האבות ס‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 9

When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

- Lorsque tu seras entré dans le pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne, tu n'apprendras point à imiter les abominations de ces nations-là. (Ⅱ)

- ἐὰν δὲ εἰσέλθη̨ς εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι οὐ μαθήση̨ ποιει̃ν κατὰ τὰ βδελύγματα τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν ἐκείνων (Ⅲ)

- Quando ingressus fueris terram, quam Dominus Deus tuus dabit tibi, cave ne imitari velis abominationes illarum gentium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃18 כי אתה בא אל הארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך לא תלמד לעשות כתועבת הגוים ההם ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 10

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

- Qu'on ne trouve chez toi personne qui fasse passer son fils ou sa fille par le feu, personne qui exerce le métier de devin, d'astrologue, d'augure, de magicien, (Ⅱ)

- οὐχ εὑρεθήσεται ἐν σοὶ περικαθαίρων τὸν υἱὸν αὐτου̃ ἢ τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτου̃ ἐν πυρί μαντευόμενος μαντείαν κληδονιζόμενος καὶ οἰωνιζόμενος φαρμακός (Ⅲ)

- Nec inveniatur in te qui lustret filium suum, aut filiam, ducens per ignem : aut qui ariolos sciscitetur, et observet somnia atque auguria, nec sit maleficus, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃18 לא ימצא בך מעביר בנו ובתו באש קסם קסמים מעונן ומנחש ומכשף ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 11

Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

- d'enchanteur, personne qui consulte ceux qui évoquent les esprits ou disent la bonne aventure, personne qui interroge les morts. (Ⅱ)

- ἐπαείδων ἐπαοιδήν ἐγγαστρίμυθος καὶ τερατοσκόπος ἐπερωτω̃ν τοὺς νεκρούς (Ⅲ)

- nec incantator, nec qui pythones consulat, nec divinos, aut quærat a mortuis veritatem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃18 וחבר חבר ושאל אוב וידעני ודרש אל המתים ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 12

For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

- Car quiconque fait ces choses est en abomination à l'Éternel; et c'est à cause de ces abominations que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, va chasser ces nations devant toi. (Ⅱ)

- ἔστιν γὰρ βδέλυγμα κυρίω̨ τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ σου πα̃ς ποιω̃ν ταυ̃τα ἕνεκεν γὰρ τω̃ν βδελυγμάτων τούτων κύριος ἐξολεθρεύσει αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ σου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Omnia enim hæc abominatur Dominus, et propter istiusmodi scelera delebit eos in introitu tuo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃18 כי תועבת יהוה כל עשה אלה ובגלל התועבת האלה יהוה אלהיך מוריש אותם מפניך ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 13

Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

- Tu seras entièrement à l'Éternel, ton Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- τέλειος ἔση̨ ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου (Ⅲ)

- Perfectus eris, et absque macula cum Domino Deo tuo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃18 תמים תהיה עם יהוה אלהיך ס‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 14

For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

- Car ces nations que tu chasseras écoutent les astrologues et les devins; mais à toi, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, ne le permet pas. (Ⅱ)

- τὰ γὰρ ἔθνη ταυ̃τα οὓς σὺ κατακληρονομει̃ς αὐτούς οὑ̃τοι κληδόνων καὶ μαντειω̃ν ἀκούσονται σοὶ δὲ οὐχ οὕτως ἔδωκεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου (Ⅲ)

- Gentes istæ, quarum possidebis terram, augures et divinos audiunt : tu autem a Domino Deo tuo aliter institutus es. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃18 כי הגוים האלה אשר אתה יורש אותם אל מעננים ואל קסמים ישמעו ואתה לא כן נתן‪[Q]‬‪[c]‬‪[n]‬ לך יהוה אלהיך ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 15

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

- L'Éternel, ton Dieu, te suscitera du milieu de toi, d'entre tes frères, un prophète comme moi: vous l'écouterez! (Ⅱ)

- προφήτην ἐκ τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν σου ὡς ἐμὲ ἀναστήσει σοι κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτου̃ ἀκούσεσθε (Ⅲ)

- Prophetam de gente tua et de fratribus tuis, sicut me, suscitabit tibi Dominus Deus tuus : ipsum audies, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃18 נביא מקרבך מאחיך כמני יקים לך יהוה אלהיך אליו תשמעון ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 16

According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

- Il répondra ainsi à la demande que tu fis à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, à Horeb, le jour de l'assemblée, quand tu disais: Que je n'entende plus la voix de l'Éternel, mon Dieu, et que je ne voie plus ce grand feu, afin de ne pas mourir. (Ⅱ)

- κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἠ̨τήσω παρὰ κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου ἐν Χωρηβ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ τη̃ς ἐκκλησίας λέγοντες οὐ προσθήσομεν ἀκου̃σαι τὴν φωνὴν κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν καὶ τὸ πυ̃ρ τὸ μέγα του̃το οὐκ ὀψόμεθα ἔτι οὐδὲ μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν (Ⅲ)

- ut petisti a Domino Deo tuo in Horeb, quando concio congregata est, atque dixisti : Ultra non audiam vocem Domini Dei mei, et ignem hunc maximum amplius non videbo, ne moriar. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃18 ככל אשר שאלת מעם יהוה אלהיך בחרב ביום הקהל לאמר לא אסף לשמע את קול יהוה אלהי ואת האש הגדלה הזאת לא אראה עוד ולא אמות ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 17

And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

- L'Éternel me dit: Ce qu'il ont dit est bien. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρός με ὀρθω̃ς πάντα ὅσα ἐλάλησαν (Ⅲ)

- Et ait Dominus mihi : Bene omnia sunt locuti. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃18 ויאמר יהוה אלי היטיבו אשר דברו ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 18

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

- Je leur susciterai du milieu de leurs frères un prophète comme toi, je mettrai mes paroles dans sa bouche, et il leur dira tout ce que je lui commanderai. (Ⅱ)

- προφήτην ἀναστήσω αὐτοι̃ς ἐκ τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν αὐτω̃ν ὥσπερ σὲ καὶ δώσω τὸ ῥη̃μά μου ἐν τω̨̃ στόματι αὐτου̃ καὶ λαλήσει αὐτοι̃ς καθότι ἂν ἐντείλωμαι αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Prophetam suscitabo eis de medio fratrum suorum similem tui : et ponam verba mea in ore ejus, loqueturque ad eos omnia quæ præcepero illi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃18 נביא אקים להם מקרב אחיהם כמוך ונתתי דברי בפיו ודבר אליהם את כל אשר אצונו ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 19

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

- Et si quelqu'un n'écoute pas mes paroles qu'il dira en mon nom, c'est moi qui lui en demanderai compte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἐὰν μὴ ἀκούση̨ ὅσα ἐὰν λαλήση̨ ὁ προφήτης ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματί μου ἐγὼ ἐκδικήσω ἐξ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Qui autem verba ejus, quæ loquetur in nomine meo, audire noluerit, ego ultor existam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃18 והיה האיש אשר לא ישמע אל דברי אשר ידבר בשמי אנכי אדרש מעמו ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 20

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

- Mais le prophète qui aura l'audace de dire en mon nom une parole que je ne lui aurai point commandé de dire, ou qui parlera au nom d'autres dieux, ce prophète-là sera puni de mort. (Ⅱ)

- πλὴν ὁ προφήτης ὃς ἂν ἀσεβήση̨ λαλη̃σαι ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματί μου ῥη̃μα ὃ οὐ προσέταξα λαλη̃σαι καὶ ὃς ἂν λαλήση̨ ἐπ' ὀνόματι θεω̃ν ἑτέρων ἀποθανει̃ται ὁ προφήτης ἐκει̃νος (Ⅲ)

- Propheta autem qui arrogantia depravatus voluerit loqui in nomine meo, quæ ego non præcepi illi ut diceret, aut ex nomine alienorum deorum, interficietur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃18 אך הנביא אשר יזיד לדבר דבר בשמי את אשר לא צויתיו לדבר ואשר ידבר בשם אלהים אחרים ומת הנביא ההוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 21

And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

- Peut-être diras-tu dans ton coeur: Comment connaîtrons-nous la parole que l'Éternel n'aura point dite? (Ⅱ)

- ἐὰν δὲ εἴπη̨ς ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ σου πω̃ς γνωσόμεθα τὸ ῥη̃μα ὃ οὐκ ἐλάλησεν κύριος (Ⅲ)

- Quod si tacita cogitatione responderis : Quomodo possum intelligere verbum, quod Dominus non est locutus ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃18 וכי תאמר בלבבך איכה נדע את הדבר אשר לא דברו יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

18. 22

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

- Quand ce que dira le prophète n'aura pas lieu et n'arrivera pas, ce sera une parole que l'Éternel n'aura point dite. C'est par audace que le prophète l'aura dite: n'aie pas peur de lui. (Ⅱ)

- ὅσα ἐὰν λαλήση̨ ὁ προφήτης ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματι κυρίου καὶ μὴ γένηται τὸ ῥη̃μα καὶ μὴ συμβη̨̃ του̃το τὸ ῥη̃μα ὃ οὐκ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐν ἀσεβεία̨ ἐλάλησεν ὁ προφήτης ἐκει̃νος οὐκ ἀφέξεσθε αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- hoc habebis signum : quod in nomine Domini propheta ille prædixerit, et non evenerit : hoc Dominus non est locutus, sed per tumorem animi sui propheta confinxit : et idcirco non timebis eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃18 אשר ידבר הנביא בשם יהוה ולא יהיה הדבר ולא יבוא הוא הדבר אשר לא דברו יהוה בזדון דברו הנביא לא תגור ממנו ס‬ (Ⅴ)
