Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
- Que mes instructions se répandent comme la pluie, Que ma parole tombe comme la rosée, Comme des ondées sur la verdure, Comme des gouttes d'eau sur l'herbe! (Ⅱ) - προσδοκάσθω ὡς ὑετὸς τὸ ἀπόφθεγμά μου καὶ καταβήτω ὡς δρόσος τὰ ῥήματά μου ὡσεὶ ὄμβρος ἐπ' ἄγρωστιν καὶ ὡσεὶ νιφετὸς ἐπὶ χόρτον (Ⅲ) - Concrescat ut pluvia doctrina mea,/ fluat ut ros eloquium meum,/ quasi imber super herbam,/ et quasi stillæ super gramina./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃32 יערף כמטר לקחי תזל כטל אמרתי כשעירם עלי דשא וכרביבים עלי עשב (Ⅴ)

Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
- Il est le rocher; ses oeuvres sont parfaites, Car toutes ses voies sont justes; C'est un Dieu fidèle et sans iniquité, Il est juste et droit. They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
- S'ils se sont corrompus, à lui n'est point la faute; La honte est à ses enfants, Race fausse et perverse. Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
- Est-ce l'Éternel que vous en rendrez responsable, Peuple insensé et dépourvu de sagesse? N'est-il pas ton père, ton créateur? N'est-ce pas lui qui t'a formé, et qui t'a affermi? (Ⅱ) - ταυ̃τα κυρίω̨ ἀνταποδίδοτε οὕτω λαὸς μωρὸς καὶ οὐχὶ σοφός οὐκ αὐτὸς οὑ̃τός σου πατὴρ ἐκτήσατό σε καὶ ἐποίησέν σε καὶ ἔκτισέν σε (Ⅲ) - Hæccine reddis Domino,/ popule stulte et insipiens ?/ numquid non ipse est pater tuus,/ qui possedit te, et fecit, et creavit te ?/ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃32 ה ליהוה תגמלו זאת עם נבל ולא חכם הלוא הוא אביך קנך הוא עשך ויכננך (Ⅴ)

Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
- Rappelle à ton souvenir les anciens jours, Passe en revue les années, génération par génération, Interroge ton père, et il te l'apprendra, Tes vieillards, et ils te le diront. When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
- Quand le Très Haut donna un héritage aux nations, Quand il sépara les enfants des hommes, Il fixa les limites des peuples D'après le nombre des enfants d'Israël, (Ⅱ) - ὅτε διεμέριζεν ὁ ὕψιστος ἔθνη ὡς διέσπειρεν υἱοὺς Αδαμ ἔστησεν ὅρια ἐθνω̃ν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ἀγγέλων θεου̃ (Ⅲ) - Quando dividebat Altissimus gentes,/ quando separabat filios Adam,/ constituit terminos populorum/ juxta numerum filiorum Israël./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃32 בהנחל עליון גוים בהפרידו בני אדם יצב גבלת עמים למספר בני ישראל (Ⅴ)

For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
- Il l'a trouvé dans une contrée déserte, Dans une solitude aux effroyables hurlements; Il l'a entouré, il en a pris soin, Il l'a gardé comme la prunelle de son oeil, (Ⅱ) - αὐτάρκησεν αὐτὸν ἐν γη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ἐν δίψει καύματος ἐν ἀνύδρω̨ ἐκύκλωσεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐπαίδευσεν αὐτὸν καὶ διεφύλαξεν αὐτὸν ὡς κόραν ὀφθαλμου̃ (Ⅲ) - Invenit eum in terra deserta,/ in loco horroris, et vastæ solitudinis :/ circumduxit eum, et docuit :/ et custodivit quasi pupillam oculi sui./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃32 ימצאהו בארץ מדבר ובתהו ילל ישמן יסבבנהו יבוננהו יצרנהו כאישון עינו (Ⅴ)

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
- Pareil à l'aigle qui éveille sa couvée, Voltige sur ses petits, Déploie ses ailes, les prend, Les porte sur ses plumes. (Ⅱ) - ὡς ἀετὸς σκεπάσαι νοσσιὰν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπὶ τοι̃ς νεοσσοι̃ς αὐτου̃ ἐπεπόθησεν διεὶς τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτου̃ ἐδέξατο αὐτοὺς καὶ ἀνέλαβεν αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τω̃ν μεταφρένων αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Sicut aquila provocans ad volandum pullos suos,/ et super eos volitans,/ expandit alas suas, et assumpsit eum,/ atque portavit in humeris suis./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃32 כנשר יעיר קנו על גוזליו ירחף יפרש כנפיו יקחהו ישאהו על אברתו (Ⅴ)

So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
- Il l'a fait monter sur les hauteurs du pays, Et Israël a mangé les fruits des champs; Il lui a fait sucer le miel du rocher, L'huile qui sort du rocher le plus dur, (Ⅱ) - ἀνεβίβασεν αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τὴν ἰσχὺν τη̃ς γη̃ς ἐψώμισεν αὐτοὺς γενήματα ἀγρω̃ν ἐθήλασαν μέλι ἐκ πέτρας καὶ ἔλαιον ἐκ στερεα̃ς πέτρας (Ⅲ) - constituit eum super excelsam terram,/ ut comederet fructus agrorum :/ ut sugeret mel de petra,/ oleumque de saxo durissimo ;/ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃32 ירכבהו על *במותי **במתי[y] ארץ ויאכל תנובת שדי וינקהו דבש מסלע ושמן מחלמיש צור (Ⅴ)

Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.
- La crème des vaches et le lait des brebis, Avec la graisse des agneaux, Des béliers de Basan et des boucs, Avec la fleur du froment; Et tu as bu le sang du raisin, le vin. (Ⅱ) - βούτυρον βοω̃ν καὶ γάλα προβάτων μετὰ στέατος ἀρνω̃ν καὶ κριω̃ν υἱω̃ν ταύρων καὶ τράγων μετὰ στέατος νεφρω̃ν πυρου̃ καὶ αἱ̃μα σταφυλη̃ς ἔπιον οἰ̃νον (Ⅲ) - butyrum de armento, et lac de ovibus/ cum adipe agnorum,/ et arietum filiorum Basan : et hircos/ cum medulla tritici,/ et sanguinem uvæ biberet meracissimum.]\ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃32 חמאת בקר וחלב צאן עם חלב כרים ואילים בני בשן ועתודים עם חלב כליות חטה ודם ענב תשתה חמר (Ⅴ)

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
- Israël est devenu gras, et il a regimbé; Tu es devenu gras, épais et replet! -Et il a abandonné Dieu, son créateur, Il a méprisé le rocher de son salut, (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔφαγεν Ιακωβ καὶ ἐνεπλήσθη καὶ ἀπελάκτισεν ὁ ἠγαπημένος ἐλιπάνθη ἐπαχύνθη ἐπλατύνθη καὶ ἐγκατέλιπεν θεὸν τὸν ποιήσαντα αὐτὸν καὶ ἀπέστη ἀπὸ θεου̃ σωτη̃ρος αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Incrassatus est dilectus, et recalcitravit :/ incrassatus, impinguatus, dilatatus,/ dereliquit Deum factorem suum,/ et recessit a Deo salutari suo./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃32 וישמן ישרון ויבעט שמנת עבית כשית ויטש אלוה עשהו וינבל צור ישעתו (Ⅴ)

They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
- Ils ont excité sa jalousie par des dieux étrangers, Ils l'ont irrité par des abominations; (Ⅱ) - παρώξυνάν με ἐπ' ἀλλοτρίοις ἐν βδελύγμασιν αὐτω̃ν ἐξεπίκρανάν με (Ⅲ) - Provocaverunt eum in diis alienis,/ et in abominationibus ad iracundiam concitaverunt./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃32 יקנאהו בזרים בתועבת יכעיסהו (Ⅴ)

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
- Ils ont sacrifié à des idoles qui ne sont pas Dieu, A des dieux qu'ils ne connaissaient point, Nouveaux, venus depuis peu, Et que vos pères n'avaient pas craints. (Ⅱ) - ἔθυσαν δαιμονίοις καὶ οὐ θεω̨̃ θεοι̃ς οἱ̃ς οὐκ ἤ̨δεισαν καινοὶ πρόσφατοι ἥκασιν οὓς οὐκ ἤ̨δεισαν οἱ πατέρες αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Immolaverunt dæmoniis et non Deo,/ diis quos ignorabant :/ novi recentesque venerunt,/ quos non coluerunt patres eorum :/ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃32 יזבחו לשדים לא אלה אלהים לא ידעום חדשים מקרב באו לא שערום אבתיכם (Ⅴ)

Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
- Tu as abandonné le rocher qui t'a fait naître, Et tu as oublié le Dieu qui t'a engendré. (Ⅱ) - θεὸν τὸν γεννήσαντά σε ἐγκατέλιπες καὶ ἐπελάθου θεου̃ του̃ τρέφοντός σε (Ⅲ) - Deum qui te genuit dereliquisti,/ et oblitus es Domini creatoris tui.]\ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃32 צור ילדך תשי ותשכח אל מחללך (Ⅴ)

And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
- L'Éternel l'a vu, et il a été irrité, Indigné contre ses fils et ses filles. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃δεν κύριος καὶ ἐζήλωσεν καὶ παρωξύνθη δι' ὀργὴν υἱω̃ν αὐτου̃ καὶ θυγατέρων (Ⅲ) - Vidit Dominus, et ad iracundiam concitatus est :/ quia provocaverunt eum filii sui et filiæ./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃32 וירא יהוה וינאץ מכעס בניו ובנתיו (Ⅴ)

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
- Il a dit: Je leur cacherai ma face, Je verrai quelle sera leur fin; Car c'est une race perverse, Ce sont des enfants infidèles. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἀποστρέψω τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν καὶ δείξω τί ἔσται αὐτοι̃ς ἐπ' ἐσχάτων ὅτι γενεὰ ἐξεστραμμένη ἐστίν υἱοί οἱ̃ς οὐκ ἔστιν πίστις ἐν αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et ait : Abscondam faciem meam ab eis,/ et considerabo novissima eorum :/ generatio enim perversa est,/ et infideles filii./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃32 ויאמר אסתירה פני מהם אראה מה אחריתם כי דור תהפכת המה בנים לא אמן בם (Ⅴ)

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
- Ils ont excité ma jalousie par ce qui n'est point Dieu, Ils m'ont irrité par leurs vaines idoles; Et moi, j'exciterai leur jalousie par ce qui n'est point un peuple, Je les irriterai par une nation insensée. (Ⅱ) - αὐτοὶ παρεζήλωσάν με ἐπ' οὐ θεω̨̃ παρώργισάν με ἐν τοι̃ς εἰδώλοις αὐτω̃ν κἀγὼ παραζηλώσω αὐτοὺς ἐπ' οὐκ ἔθνει ἐπ' ἔθνει ἀσυνέτω̨ παροργιω̃ αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Ipsi me provocaverunt in eo qui non erat Deus,/ et irritaverunt in vanitatibus suis :/ et ego provocabo eos in eo qui non est populus,/ et in gente stulta irritabo illos./ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃32 הם קנאוני בלא אל כעסוני בהבליהם ואני אקניאם בלא עם בגוי נבל אכעיסם (Ⅴ)

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
- Car le feu de ma colère s'est allumé, Et il brûlera jusqu'au fond du séjour des morts; Il dévorera la terre et ses produits, Il embrasera les fondements des montagnes. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι πυ̃ρ ἐκκέκαυται ἐκ του̃ θυμου̃ μου καυθήσεται ἕως ἅ̨δου κάτω καταφάγεται γη̃ν καὶ τὰ γενήματα αὐτη̃ς φλέξει θεμέλια ὀρέων (Ⅲ) - Ignis succensus est in furore meo,/ et ardebit usque ad inferni novissima :/ devorabitque terram cum germine suo,/ et montium fundamenta comburet./ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃32 כי אש קדחה באפי ותיקד עד שאול תחתית ותאכל ארץ ויבלה ותלהט מוסדי הרים (Ⅴ)

I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
- J'accumulerai sur eux les maux, J'épuiserai mes traits contre eux. (Ⅱ) - συνάξω εἰς αὐτοὺς κακὰ καὶ τὰ βέλη μου συντελέσω εἰς αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Congregabo super eos mala,/ et sagittas meas complebo in eis./ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃32 אספה עלימו רעות חצי אכלה בם (Ⅴ)

They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
- Ils seront desséchés par la faim, consumés par la fièvre Et par des maladies violentes; J'enverrai parmi eux la dent des bêtes féroces Et le venin des serpents. (Ⅱ) - τηκόμενοι λιμω̨̃ καὶ βρώσει ὀρνέων καὶ ὀπισθότονος ἀνίατος ὀδόντας θηρίων ἀποστελω̃ εἰς αὐτοὺς μετὰ θυμου̃ συρόντων ἐπὶ γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Consumentur fame,/ et devorabunt eos aves morsu amarissimo :/ dentes bestiarum immittam in eos,/ cum furore trahentium super terram, atque serpentium./ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃32 מזי רעב ולחמי רשף וקטב מרירי ושן בהמות אשלח בם עם חמת זחלי עפר (Ⅴ)

The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
- Au dehors, on périra par l'épée, Et au dedans, par d'effrayantes calamités: Il en sera du jeune homme comme de la jeune fille, De l'enfant à la mamelle comme du vieillard. (Ⅱ) - ἔξωθεν ἀτεκνώσει αὐτοὺς μάχαιρα καὶ ἐκ τω̃ν ταμιείων φόβος νεανίσκος σὺν παρθένω̨ θηλάζων μετὰ καθεστηκότος πρεσβύτου (Ⅲ) - Foris vastabit eos gladius,/ et intus pavor,/ juvenem simul ac virginem,/ lactentem cum homine sene.]\ (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃32 מחוץ תשכל חרב ומחדרים אימה גם בחור גם בתולה יונק עם איש שיבה (Ⅴ)

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
- Je voudrais dire: Je les emporterai d'un souffle, Je ferai disparaître leur mémoire d'entre les hommes! (Ⅱ) - εἰ̃πα διασπερω̃ αὐτούς παύσω δὴ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Dixi : Ubinam sunt ?/ cessare faciam ex hominibus memoriam eorum./ (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃32 אמרתי אפאיהם אשביתה מאנוש זכרם (Ⅴ)

Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
- Mais je crains les insultes de l'ennemi, Je crains que leurs adversaires ne se méprennent, Et qu'ils ne disent: Notre main a été puissante, Et ce n'est pas l'Éternel qui a fait toutes ces choses. (Ⅱ) - εἰ μὴ δι' ὀργὴν ἐχθρω̃ν ἵνα μὴ μακροχρονίσωσιν καὶ ἵνα μὴ συνεπιθω̃νται οἱ ὑπεναντίοι μὴ εἴπωσιν ἡ χεὶρ ἡμω̃ν ἡ ὑψηλὴ καὶ οὐχὶ κύριος ἐποίησεν ταυ̃τα πάντα (Ⅲ) - Sed propter iram inimicorum distuli :/ ne forte superbirent hostes eorum,/ et dicerent : Manus nostra excelsa,/ et non Dominus, fecit hæc omnia./ (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃32 לולי כעס אויב אגור פן ינכרו צרימו פן יאמרו ידינו רמה ולא יהוה פעל כל זאת (Ⅴ)

For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
- C'est une nation qui a perdu le bon sens, Et il n'y a point en eux d'intelligence. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ἔθνος ἀπολωλεκὸς βουλήν ἐστιν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν αὐτοι̃ς ἐπιστήμη (Ⅲ) - Gens absque consilio est,/ et sine prudentia./ (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃32 כי גוי אבד עצות המה ואין בהם תבונה (Ⅴ)

O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
- Ces dieux qui mangeaient la graisse de leurs victimes, Qui buvaient le vin de leurs libations? Qu'ils se lèvent, qu'ils vous secourent, Qu'ils vous couvrent de leur protection! (Ⅱ) - ὡ̃ν τὸ στέαρ τω̃ν θυσιω̃ν αὐτω̃ν ἠσθίετε καὶ ἐπίνετε τὸν οἰ̃νον τω̃ν σπονδω̃ν αὐτω̃ν ἀναστήτωσαν καὶ βοηθησάτωσαν ὑμι̃ν καὶ γενηθήτωσαν ὑμι̃ν σκεπασταί (Ⅲ) - de quorum victimis comedebant adipes,/ et bibebant vinum libaminum :/ surgant, et opitulentur vobis,/ et in necessitate vos protegant./ (Ⅳ) - 38 ׃32 אשר חלב זבחימו יאכלו ישתו יין נסיכם יקומו ויעזרכם יהי עליכם סתרה (Ⅴ)

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
- Sachez donc que c'est moi qui suis Dieu, Et qu'il n'y a point de dieu près de moi; Je fais vivre et je fais mourir, Je blesse et je guéris, Et personne ne délivre de ma main. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
- Si j'aiguise l'éclair de mon épée Et si ma main saisit la justice, Je me vengerai de mes adversaires Et je punirai ceux qui me haïssent; (Ⅱ) - ὅτι παροξυνω̃ ὡς ἀστραπὴν τὴν μάχαιράν μου καὶ ἀνθέξεται κρίματος ἡ χείρ μου καὶ ἀνταποδώσω δίκην τοι̃ς ἐχθροι̃ς καὶ τοι̃ς μισου̃σίν με ἀνταποδώσω (Ⅲ) - Si acuero ut fulgur gladium meum,/ et arripuerit judicium manus mea :/ reddam ultionem hostibus meis,/ et his qui oderunt me retribuam./ (Ⅳ) - 41 ׃32 אם שנותי ברק חרבי ותאחז במשפט ידי אשיב נקם לצרי ולמשנאי אשלם (Ⅴ)

I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
- Mon épée dévorera leur chair, Et j'enivrerai mes flèches de sang, Du sang des blessés et des captifs, De la tête des chefs de l'ennemi. (Ⅱ) - μεθύσω τὰ βέλη μου ἀφ' αἵματος καὶ ἡ μάχαιρά μου καταφάγεται κρέα ἀφ' αἵματος τραυματιω̃ν καὶ αἰχμαλωσίας ἀπὸ κεφαλη̃ς ἀρχόντων ἐχθρω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Inebriabo sagittas meas sanguine,/ et gladius meus devorabit carnes ;/ de cruore occisorum et de captivitate,/ nudati inimicorum capitis./ (Ⅳ) - 42 ׃32 אשכיר חצי מדם וחרבי תאכל בשר מדם חלל ושביה מראש פרעות אויב (Ⅴ)

Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
- Nations, chantez les louanges de son peuple! Car l'Éternel venge le sang de ses serviteurs, Il se venge de ses adversaires, Et il fait l'expiation pour son pays, pour son peuple. (Ⅱ) - εὐφράνθητε οὐρανοί ἅμα αὐτω̨̃ καὶ προσκυνησάτωσαν αὐτω̨̃ πάντες υἱοὶ θεου̃ εὐφράνθητε ἔθνη μετὰ του̃ λαου̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐνισχυσάτωσαν αὐτω̨̃ πάντες ἄγγελοι θεου̃ ὅτι τὸ αἱ̃μα τω̃ν υἱω̃ν αὐτου̃ ἐκδικα̃ται καὶ ἐκδικήσει καὶ ἀνταποδώσει δίκην τοι̃ς ἐχθροι̃ς καὶ τοι̃ς μισου̃σιν ἀνταποδώσει καὶ ἐκκαθαριει̃ κύριος τὴν γη̃ν του̃ λαου̃ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Laudate, gentes, populum ejus,/ quia sanguinem servorum suorum ulciscetur :/ et vindictam retribuet in hostes eorum,/ et propitius erit terræ populi sui.]\ (Ⅳ) - 43 ׃32 הרנינו גוים עמו כי דם עבדיו יקום ונקם ישיב לצריו וכפר אדמתו עמו פ (Ⅴ)

And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
- Moïse vint et prononça toutes les paroles de ce cantique en présence du peuple; Josué, fils de Nun, était avec lui. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔγραψεν Μωυση̃ς τὴν ὠ̨δὴν ταύτην ἐν ἐκείνη̨ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ καὶ ἐδίδαξεν αὐτὴν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ εἰση̃λθεν Μωυση̃ς καὶ ἐλάλησεν πάντας τοὺς λόγους του̃ νόμου τούτου εἰς τὰ ὠ̃τα του̃ λαου̃ αὐτὸς καὶ 'Ιησου̃ς ὁ του̃ Ναυη (Ⅲ) - Venit ergo Moyses, et locutus est omnia verba cantici hujus in auribus populi, ipse et Josue filius Nun. (Ⅳ) - 44 ׃32 ויבא משה וידבר את כל דברי השירה הזאת באזני העם הוא והושע בן נון (Ⅴ)

And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
- Lorsque Moïse eut achevé de prononcer toutes ces paroles devant tout Israël, (Ⅱ) - καὶ συνετέλεσεν Μωυση̃ς λαλω̃ν παντὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Complevitque omnes sermones istos, loquens ad universum Israël, (Ⅳ) - 45 ׃32 ויכל משה לדבר את כל הדברים האלה אל כל ישראל (Ⅴ)

And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
- il leur dit: Prenez à coeur toutes les paroles que je vous conjure aujourd'hui de recommander à vos enfants, afin qu'ils observent et mettent en pratique toutes les paroles de cette loi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτούς προσέχετε τη̨̃ καρδία̨ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους οὓς ἐγὼ διαμαρτύρομαι ὑμι̃ν σήμερον ἃ ἐντελει̃σθε τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς ὑμω̃ν φυλάσσειν καὶ ποιει̃ν πάντας τοὺς λόγους του̃ νόμου τούτου (Ⅲ) - et dixit ad eos : Ponite corda vestra in omnia verba, quæ ego testificor vobis hodie : ut mandetis ea filiis vestris custodire et facere, et implere universa quæ scripta sunt legis hujus : (Ⅳ) - 46 ׃32 ויאמר אלהם שימו לבבכם לכל הדברים אשר אנכי מעיד בכם היום אשר תצום את בניכם לשמר לעשות את כל דברי התורה הזאת (Ⅴ)

For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
- Car ce n'est pas une chose sans importance pour vous; c'est votre vie, et c'est par là que vous prolongerez vos jours dans le pays dont vous aurez la possession, après avoir passé le Jourdain. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι οὐχὶ λόγος κενὸς οὑ̃τος ὑμι̃ν ὅτι αὕτη ἡ ζωὴ ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἕνεκεν του̃ λόγου τούτου μακροημερεύσετε ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς εἰς ἣν ὑμει̃ς διαβαίνετε τὸν Ιορδάνην ἐκει̃ κληρονομη̃σαι αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - quia non incassum præcepta sunt vobis, sed ut singuli in eis viverent : quæ facientes longo perseveretis tempore in terra, ad quam, Jordane transmisso, ingredimini possidendam. (Ⅳ) - 47 ׃32 כי לא דבר רק הוא מכם כי הוא חייכם ובדבר הזה תאריכו ימים על האדמה אשר אתם עברים את הירדן שמה לרשתה פ (Ⅴ)

And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
- Ce même jour, l'Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ταύτη̨ λέγων (Ⅲ) - Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen in eadem die, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 48 ׃32 וידבר יהוה אל משה בעצם היום הזה לאמר (Ⅴ)

Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
- Monte sur cette montagne d'Abarim, sur le mont Nebo, au pays de Moab, vis-à-vis de Jéricho; et regarde le pays de Canaan que je donne en propriété aux enfants d'Israël. (Ⅱ) - ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ Αβαριν του̃το ὄρος Ναβαυ ὅ ἐστιν ἐν γη̨̃ Μωαβ κατὰ πρόσωπον Ιεριχω καὶ ἰδὲ τὴν γη̃ν Χανααν ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ εἰς κατάσχεσιν (Ⅲ) - Ascende in montem istum Abarim, id est, transitum, in montem Nebo, qui est in terra Moab contra Jericho : et vide terram Chanaan, quam ego tradam filiis Israël obtinendam, et morere in monte. (Ⅳ) - 49 ׃32 עלה אל הר העברים הזה הר נבו אשר בארץ מואב אשר על פני ירחו וראה את ארץ כנען אשר אני נתן לבני ישראל לאחזה (Ⅴ)

And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
- Tu mourras sur la montagne où tu vas monter, et tu seras recueilli auprès de ton peuple, comme Aaron, ton frère, est mort sur la montagne de Hor et a été recueilli auprès de son peuple, (Ⅱ) - καὶ τελεύτα ἐν τω̨̃ ὄρει εἰς ὃ ἀναβαίνεις ἐκει̃ καὶ προστέθητι πρὸς τὸν λαόν σου ὃν τρόπον ἀπέθανεν Ααρων ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐν Ωρ τω̨̃ ὄρει καὶ προσετέθη πρὸς τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Quem conscendens jungeris populis tuis, sicut mortuus est Aaron frater tuus in monte Hor, et appositus populis suis : (Ⅳ) - 50 ׃32 ומת בהר אשר אתה עלה שמה והאסף אל עמיך כאשר מת אהרן אחיך בהר ההר ויאסף אל עמיו (Ⅴ)
