et abstulit sicut oves populum suum,/ et perduxit eos tamquam gregem in deserto :/
- Il fit partir son peuple comme des brebis, Il les conduisit comme un troupeau dans le désert. (Ⅱ) - But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπη̃ρεν ὡς πρόβατα τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀνήγαγεν αὐτοὺς ὡς ποίμνιον ἐν ἐρήμω̨ (Ⅳ) - 52 ׃78 ויסע כצאן עמו וינהגם כעדר במדבר (Ⅴ)

et deduxit eos in spe, et non timuerunt,/ et inimicos eorum operuit mare./
- Il les dirigea sûrement, pour qu'ils fussent sans crainte, Et la mer couvrit leurs ennemis. (Ⅱ) - And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ὡδήγησεν αὐτοὺς ἐν ἐλπίδι καὶ οὐκ ἐδειλίασαν καὶ τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτω̃ν ἐκάλυψεν θάλασσα (Ⅳ) - 53 ׃78 וינחם לבטח ולא פחדו ואת אויביהם כסה הים (Ⅴ)

Et induxit eos in montem sanctificationis suæ,/ montem quem acquisivit dextera ejus ;/ et ejecit a facie eorum gentes,/ et sorte divisit eis terram in funiculo distributionis ;/
- Il les amena vers sa frontière sainte, Vers cette montagne que sa droite a acquise. (Ⅱ) - And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτοὺς εἰς ὅριον ἁγιάσματος αὐτου̃ ὄρος του̃το ὃ ἐκτήσατο ἡ δεξιὰ αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - 54 ׃78 ויביאם אל גבול קדשו הר זה קנתה ימינו (Ⅴ)

et habitare fecit in tabernaculis eorum tribus Israël./
- Il chassa devant eux les nations, Leur distribua le pays en héritage, Et fit habiter dans leurs tentes les tribus d'Israël. (Ⅱ) - He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξέβαλεν ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτω̃ν ἔθνη καὶ ἐκληροδότησεν αὐτοὺς ἐν σχοινίω̨ κληροδοσίας καὶ κατεσκήνωσεν ἐν τοι̃ς σκηνώμασιν αὐτω̃ν τὰς φυλὰς του̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅳ) - 55 ׃78 ויגרש מפניהם גוים ויפילם בחבל נחלה וישכן באהליהם שבטי ישראל (Ⅴ)

Et tentaverunt, et exacerbaverunt Deum excelsum,/ et testimonia ejus non custodierunt./
- Mais ils tentèrent le Dieu Très Haut et se révoltèrent contre lui, Et ils n'observèrent point ses ordonnances. (Ⅱ) - Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies: (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐπείρασαν καὶ παρεπίκραναν τὸν θεὸν τὸν ὕψιστον καὶ τὰ μαρτύρια αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἐφυλάξαντο (Ⅳ) - 56 ׃78 וינסו וימרו את אלהים עליון ועדותיו לא שמרו (Ⅴ)

Et averterunt se, et non servaverunt pactum :/ quemadmodum patres eorum, conversi sunt in arcum pravum./
- Ils s'éloignèrent et furent infidèles, comme leurs pères, Ils tournèrent, comme un arc trompeur. (Ⅱ) - But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπέστρεψαν καὶ ἠσυνθέτησαν καθὼς καὶ οἱ πατέρες αὐτω̃ν καὶ μετεστράφησαν εἰς τόξον στρεβλὸν (Ⅳ) - 57 ׃78 ויסגו ויבגדו כאבותם נהפכו כקשת רמיה (Ⅴ)

In iram concitaverunt eum in collibus suis,/ et in sculptilibus suis ad æmulationem eum provocaverunt./
- Ils l'irritèrent par leurs hauts lieux, Et ils excitèrent sa jalousie par leurs idoles. (Ⅱ) - For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images. (Ⅲ) - καὶ παρώργισαν αὐτὸν ἐν τοι̃ς βουνοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς γλυπτοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν παρεζήλωσαν αὐτόν (Ⅳ) - 58 ׃78 ויכעיסוהו בבמותם ובפסיליהם יקניאוהו (Ⅴ)

Audivit Deus, et sprevit,/ et ad nihilum redegit valde Israël./
- Dieu entendit, et il fut irrité; Il repoussa fortement Israël. (Ⅱ) - When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel: (Ⅲ) - ἤκουσεν ὁ θεὸς καὶ ὑπερει̃δεν καὶ ἐξουδένωσεν σφόδρα τὸν Ισραηλ (Ⅳ) - 59 ׃78 שמע אלהים ויתעבר וימאס מאד בישראל (Ⅴ)

- Il abandonna la demeure de Silo, La tente où il habitait parmi les hommes; (Ⅱ) - So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men; (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπώσατο τὴν σκηνὴν Σηλωμ σκήνωμα αὐτου̃ οὑ̃ κατεσκήνωσεν ἐν ἀνθρώποις (Ⅳ) - 60 ׃78 ויטש משכן שלו אהל שכן באדם (Ⅴ)

Et tradidit in captivitatem virtutem eorum,/ et pulchritudinem eorum in manus inimici./
- Il livra sa gloire à la captivité, Et sa majesté entre les mains de l'ennemi. (Ⅱ) - And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy's hand. (Ⅲ) - καὶ παρέδωκεν εἰς αἰχμαλωσίαν τὴν ἰσχὺν αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὴν καλλονὴν αὐτω̃ν εἰς χει̃ρας ἐχθρου̃ (Ⅳ) - 61 ׃78 ויתן לשבי עזו ותפארתו ביד צר (Ⅴ)

- Il mit son peuple à la merci du glaive, Et il s'indigna contre son héritage. (Ⅱ) - He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συνέκλεισεν εἰς ῥομφαίαν τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτου̃ ὑπερει̃δεν (Ⅳ) - 62 ׃78 ויסגר לחרב עמו ובנחלתו התעבר (Ⅴ)

Juvenes eorum comedit ignis,/ et virgines eorum non sunt lamentatæ./
- Le feu dévora ses jeunes hommes, Et ses vierges ne furent pas célébrées; (Ⅱ) - The fire consumed their young men; and their maidens were not given to marriage. (Ⅲ) - τοὺς νεανίσκους αὐτω̃ν κατέφαγεν πυ̃ρ καὶ αἱ παρθένοι αὐτω̃ν οὐκ ἐπενθήθησαν (Ⅳ) - 63 ׃78 בחוריו אכלה אש ובתולתיו לא הוללו (Ⅴ)

Sacerdotes eorum in gladio ceciderunt,/ et viduæ eorum non plorabantur./
- Ses sacrificateurs tombèrent par l'épée, Et ses veuves ne pleurèrent pas. (Ⅱ) - Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation. (Ⅲ) - οἱ ἱερει̃ς αὐτω̃ν ἐν ῥομφαία̨ ἔπεσαν καὶ αἱ χη̃ραι αὐτω̃ν οὐ κλαυσθήσονται (Ⅳ) - 64 ׃78 כהניו בחרב נפלו ואלמנתיו לא תבכינה (Ⅴ)

Et excitatus est tamquam dormiens Dominus,/ tamquam potens crapulatus a vino./
- Le Seigneur s'éveilla comme celui qui a dormi, Comme un héros qu'a subjugué le vin. (Ⅱ) - Then the LORD awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξηγέρθη ὡς ὁ ὑπνω̃ν κύριος ὡς δυνατὸς κεκραιπαληκὼς ἐξ οἴνου (Ⅳ) - 65 ׃78 ויקץ כישן אדני כגבור מתרונן מיין (Ⅴ)

Et percussit inimicos suos in posteriora ;/ opprobrium sempiternum dedit illis./
- Il frappa ses adversaires en fuite, Il les couvrit d'un opprobre éternel. (Ⅱ) - And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to a perpetual reproach. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐπάταξεν τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτου̃ εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω ὄνειδος αἰώνιον ἔδωκεν αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅳ) - 66 ׃78 ויך צריו אחור חרפת עולם נתן למו (Ⅴ)

- Cependant il rejeta la tente de Joseph, Et il ne choisit point la tribu d'Éphraïm; (Ⅱ) - Moreover he refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim: (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπώσατο τὸ σκήνωμα Ιωσηφ καὶ τὴν φυλὴν Εφραιμ οὐκ ἐξελέξατο (Ⅳ) - 67 ׃78 וימאס באהל יוסף ובשבט אפרים לא בחר (Ⅴ)

- Il préféra la tribu de Juda, La montagne de Sion qu'il aimait. (Ⅱ) - But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξελέξατο τὴν φυλὴν Ιουδα τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σιων ὃ ἠγάπησεν (Ⅳ) - 68 ׃78 ויבחר את שבט יהודה את הר ציון אשר אהב (Ⅴ)

Et ædificavit sicut unicornium sanctificium suum,/ in terra quam fundavit in sæcula./
- Et il bâtit son sanctuaire comme les lieux élevés, Comme la terre qu'il a fondée pour toujours. (Ⅱ) - And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established for ever. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν ὡς μονοκερώτων τὸ ἁγίασμα αὐτου̃ ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ἐθεμελίωσεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να (Ⅳ) - 69 ׃78 ויבן כמו רמים מקדשו כארץ יסדה לעולם (Ⅴ)

- Il choisit David, son serviteur, Et il le tira des bergeries; (Ⅱ) - He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξελέξατο Δαυιδ τὸν δου̃λον αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀνέλαβεν αὐτὸν ἐκ τω̃ν ποιμνίων τω̃ν προβάτων (Ⅳ) - 70 ׃78 ויבחר בדוד עבדו ויקחהו ממכלאת צאן (Ⅴ)

- Il le prit derrière les brebis qui allaitent, Pour lui faire paître Jacob, son peuple, Et Israël, son héritage. (Ⅱ) - From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. (Ⅲ) - ἐξόπισθεν τω̃ν λοχευομένων ἔλαβεν αὐτὸν ποιμαίνειν Ιακωβ τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ Ισραηλ τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - 71 ׃78 מאחר עלות הביאו לרעות ביעקב עמו ובישראל נחלתו (Ⅴ)

Et pavit eos in innocentia cordis sui,/ et in intellectibus manuum suarum deduxit eos.]
- Et David les dirigea avec un coeur intègre, Et les conduisit avec des mains intelligentes. (Ⅱ) - So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐποίμανεν αὐτοὺς ἐν τη̨̃ ἀκακία̨ τη̃ς καρδίας αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐν ται̃ς συνέσεσι τω̃ν χειρω̃ν αὐτου̃ ὡδήγησεν αὐτούς (Ⅳ) - 72 ׃78 וירעם כתם לבבו ובתבונות כפיו ינחם (Ⅴ)
