Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;
- Ainsi a parlé l'Éternel: Va, achète d'un potier un vase de terre, et prends avec toi des anciens du peuple et des anciens des sacrificateurs. (Ⅱ) - τότε εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρός με βάδισον καὶ κτη̃σαι βι̃κον πεπλασμένον ὀστράκινον καὶ ἄξεις ἀπὸ τω̃ν πρεσβυτέρων του̃ λαου̃ καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν πρεσβυτέρων τω̃ν ἱερέων (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus : Vade, et accipe lagunculam figuli testeam a senioribus populi et a senioribus sacerdotum, (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃19 כה אמר יהוה הלוך וקנית בקבק יוצר חרש ומזקני העם ומזקני הכהנים (Ⅴ)

And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,
- Rends-toi dans la vallée de Ben Hinnom, qui est à l'entrée de la porte de la poterie; et là, tu publieras les paroles que je te dirai. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξελεύση̨ εἰς τὸ πολυάνδριον υἱω̃ν τω̃ν τέκνων αὐτω̃ν ὅ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τω̃ν προθύρων πύλης τη̃ς χαρσιθ καὶ ἀνάγνωθι ἐκει̃ πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἂν λαλήσω πρὸς σέ (Ⅲ) - et egredere ad vallem filii Ennom, quæ est juxta introitum portæ fictilis : et prædicabis ibi verba quæ ego loquar ad te. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃19 ויצאת אל גיא בן הנם אשר פתח שער *החרסות **החרסית וקראת שם את הדברים אשר אדבר אליך (Ⅴ)

And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
- Tu diras: Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel, rois de Juda, et vous, habitants de Jérusalem! Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je vais faire venir sur ce lieu un malheur Qui étourdira les oreilles de quiconque en entendra parler. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐρει̃ς αὐτοι̃ς ἀκούσατε τὸν λόγον κυρίου βασιλει̃ς Ιουδα καὶ ἄνδρες Ιουδα καὶ οἱ κατοικου̃ντες Ιερουσαλημ καὶ οἱ εἰσπορευόμενοι ἐν ται̃ς πύλαις ταύταις τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον του̃τον κακὰ ὥστε παντὸς ἀκούοντος αὐτὰ ἠχήσει ἀμφότερα τὰ ὠ̃τα αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et dices : [Audite verbum Domini,/ reges Juda, et habitatores Jerusalem./ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël :/ Ecce ego inducam afflictionem super locum istum,/ ita ut omnis qui audierit illam, tinniant aures ejus,/ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃19 ואמרת שמעו דבר יהוה מלכי יהודה וישבי ירושלם כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני מביא רעה על המקום הזה אשר כל שמעה תצלנה אזניו (Ⅴ)

Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
- Ils m'ont abandonné, ils ont profané ce lieu, Ils y ont offert de l'encens à d'autres dieux, Que ne connaissaient ni eux, ni leurs pères, ni les rois de Juda, Et ils ont rempli ce lieu de sang innocent; (Ⅱ) - ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἐγκατέλιπόν με καὶ ἀπηλλοτρίωσαν τὸν τόπον του̃τον καὶ ἐθυμίασαν ἐν αὐτω̨̃ θεοι̃ς ἀλλοτρίοις οἱ̃ς οὐκ ἤ̨δεισαν αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ πατέρες αὐτω̃ν καὶ οἱ βασιλει̃ς Ιουδα ἔπλησαν τὸν τόπον του̃τον αἱμάτων ἀθώ̨ων (Ⅲ) - eo quod dereliquerint me,/ et alienum fecerint locum istum,/ et libaverunt in eo diis alienis quos nescierunt,/ ipsi et patres eorum, et reges Juda :/ et repleverunt locum istum sanguine innocentum,/ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃19 יען אשר עזבני וינכרו את המקום הזה ויקטרו בו לאלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעום המה ואבותיהם ומלכי יהודה ומלאו את המקום הזה דם נקים (Ⅴ)

They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:
- Ils ont bâti des hauts lieux à Baal, Pour brûler leurs enfants au feu en holocaustes à Baal: Ce que je n'avais ni ordonné ni prescrit, Ce qui ne m'était point venu à la pensée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησαν ὑψηλὰ τη̨̃ Βααλ του̃ κατακαίειν τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτω̃ν ἐν πυρί ἃ οὐκ ἐνετειλάμην οὐδὲ ἐλάλησα οὐδὲ διενοήθην ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ μου (Ⅲ) - et ædificaverunt excelsa Baalim,/ ad comburendos filios suos igni in holocaustum Baalim :/ quæ non præcepi, nec locutus sum,/ nec ascenderunt in cor meum./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃19 ובנו את במות הבעל לשרף את בניהם באש עלות לבעל אשר לא צויתי ולא דברתי ולא עלתה על לבי פ (Ⅴ)

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.
- C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, Où ce lieu ne sera plus appelé Topheth et vallée de Ben Hinnom, Mais où on l'appellera vallée du carnage. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐ κληθήσεται τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ ἔτι διάπτωσις καὶ πολυάνδριον υἱου̃ Εννομ ἀλλ' ἢ πολυάνδριον τη̃ς σφαγη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Propterea ecce dies veniunt, dicit Dominus,/ et non vocabitur amplius locus iste Topheth,/ et vallis filii Ennom,/ sed vallis occisionis./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃19 לכן הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה ולא יקרא למקום הזה עוד התפת וגיא בן הנם כי אם גיא ההרגה (Ⅴ)

And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
- J'anéantirai dans ce lieu le conseil de Juda et de Jérusalem; Je les ferai tomber par l'épée devant leurs ennemis Et par la main de ceux qui en veulent à leur vie; Je donnerai leurs cadavres en pâture Aux oiseaux du ciel et aux bêtes de la terre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ σφάξω τὴν βουλὴν Ιουδα καὶ τὴν βουλὴν Ιερουσαλημ ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ καὶ καταβαλω̃ αὐτοὺς ἐν μαχαίρα̨ ἐναντίον τω̃ν ἐχθρω̃ν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐν χερσὶν τω̃ν ζητούντων τὰς ψυχὰς αὐτω̃ν καὶ δώσω τοὺς νεκροὺς αὐτω̃ν εἰς βρω̃σιν τοι̃ς πετεινοι̃ς του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ τοι̃ς θηρίοις τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et dissipabo consilium Juda et Jerusalem in loco isto,/ et subvertam eos gladio in conspectu inimicorum suorum,/ et in manu quærentium animas eorum :/ et dabo cadavera eorum escam volatilibus cæli et bestiis terræ./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃19 ובקתי את עצת יהודה וירושלם במקום הזה והפלתים בחרב לפני איביהם וביד מבקשי נפשם ונתתי את נבלתם למאכל לעוף השמים ולבהמת הארץ (Ⅴ)

And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.
- Je ferai de cette ville un objet de désolation et de moquerie; Tous ceux qui passeront près d'elle Seront dans l'étonnement et siffleront sur toutes ses plaies. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τάξω τὴν πόλιν ταύτην εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ εἰς συριγμόν πα̃ς ὁ παραπορευόμενος ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς σκυθρωπάσει καὶ συριει̃ ὑπὲρ πάσης τη̃ς πληγη̃ς αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Et ponam civitatem hanc in stuporem, et in sibilum :/ omnis qui præterierit per eam obstupescet,/ et sibilabit super universa plaga ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃19 ושמתי את העיר הזאת לשמה ולשרקה כל עבר עליה ישם וישרק על כל מכתה (Ⅴ)

And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.
- Je leur ferai manger la chair de leurs fils et la chair de leurs filles, Et les uns mangeront la chair des autres, Au milieu de l'angoisse et de la détresse Où les réduiront leurs ennemis Et ceux qui en veulent à leur vie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔδονται τὰς σάρκας τω̃ν υἱω̃ν αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὰς σάρκας τω̃ν θυγατέρων αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἕκαστος τὰς σάρκας του̃ πλησίον αὐτου̃ ἔδονται ἐν τη̨̃ περιοχη̨̃ καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ πολιορκία̨ ἡ̨̃ πολιορκήσουσιν αὐτοὺς οἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et cibabo eos carnibus filiorum suorum et carnibus filiarum suarum :/ et unusquisque carnem amici sui comedet in obsidione,/ et in angustia in qua concludent eos inimici eorum,/ et qui quærunt animas eorum.] (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃19 והאכלתים את בשר בניהם ואת בשר בנתיהם ואיש בשר רעהו יאכלו במצור ובמצוק אשר יציקו להם איביהם ומבקשי נפשם (Ⅴ)

Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,
- Tu briseras ensuite le vase, sous les yeux des hommes qui seront allés avec toi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ συντρίψεις τὸν βι̃κον κατ' ὀφθαλμοὺς τω̃ν ἀνδρω̃ν τω̃ν ἐκπορευομένων μετὰ σου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et conteres lagunculam in oculis virorum qui ibunt tecum, (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃19 ושברת הבקבק לעיני האנשים ההלכים אותך (Ⅴ)

And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.
- Et tu leur diras: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: C'est ainsi que je briserai ce peuple et cette ville, Comme on brise un vase de potier, Sans qu'il puisse être rétabli. Et l'on enterrera les morts à Topheth par défaut de place pour enterrer. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐρει̃ς τάδε λέγει κύριος οὕτως συντρίψω τὸν λαὸν του̃τον καὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην καθὼς συντρίβεται ἄγγος ὀστράκινον ὃ οὐ δυνήσεται ἰαθη̃ναι ἔτι (Ⅲ) - et dices ad eos : [Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Sic conteram populum istum, et civitatem istam,/ sicut conteritur vas figuli,/ quod non potest ultra instaurari :/ et in Topheth sepelientur,/ eo quod non sit alius locus ad sepeliendum./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃19 ואמרת[c] אליהם כה אמר יהוה צבאות ככה אשבר את העם הזה ואת העיר הזאת כאשר ישבר את כלי היוצר אשר לא יוכל להרפה עוד ובתפת יקברו מאין מקום לקבור (Ⅴ)

Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:
- C'est ainsi que je ferai à ce lieu, dit l'Éternel, et à ses habitants, Et je rendrai cette ville semblable à Topheth. (Ⅱ) - οὕτως ποιήσω λέγει κύριος τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ καὶ τοι̃ς κατοικου̃σιν ἐν αὐτω̨̃ του̃ δοθη̃ναι τὴν πόλιν ταύτην ὡς τὴν διαπίπτουσαν (Ⅲ) - Sic faciam loco huic, ait Dominus,/ et habitatoribus ejus,/ et ponam civitatem istam sicut Topheth./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃19 כן אעשה למקום הזה נאם יהוה וליושביו ולתת את העיר הזאת כתפת (Ⅴ)

And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
- Les maisons de Jérusalem et les maisons des rois de Juda Seront impures comme le lieu de Topheth, Toutes les maisons sur les toits desquelles on offrait de l'encens A toute l'armée des cieux, Et on faisait des libations à d'autres dieux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἱ οἰ̃κοι Ιερουσαλημ καὶ οἱ οἰ̃κοι βασιλέων Ιουδα ἔσονται καθὼς ὁ τόπος ὁ διαπίπτων τω̃ν ἀκαθαρσιω̃ν ἐν πάσαις ται̃ς οἰκίαις ἐν αἱ̃ς ἐθυμίασαν ἐπὶ τω̃ν δωμάτων αὐτω̃ν πάση̨ τη̨̃ στρατια̨̃ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ἔσπεισαν σπονδὰς θεοι̃ς ἀλλοτρίοις (Ⅲ) - Et erunt domus Jerusalem,/ et domus regum Juda,/ sicut locus Topheth, immundæ,/ omnes domus in quarum domatibus sacrificaverunt omni militiæ cæli,/ et libaverunt libamina diis alienis.]\ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃19 והיו בתי ירושלם ובתי מלכי יהודה כמקום התפת הטמאים לכל הבתים אשר קטרו על גגתיהם לכל צבא השמים והסך נסכים לאלהים אחרים פ (Ⅴ)

Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people,
- Jérémie revint de Topheth, où l'Éternel l'avait envoyé prophétiser. Puis il se tint dans le parvis de la maison de l'Éternel, et il dit à tout le peuple: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Ιερεμιας ἀπὸ τη̃ς διαπτώσεως οὑ̃ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν κύριος ἐκει̃ του̃ προφητευ̃σαι καὶ ἔστη ἐν τη̨̃ αὐλη̨̃ οἴκου κυρίου καὶ εἰ̃πε πρὸς πάντα τὸν λαόν (Ⅲ) - Venit autem Jeremias de Topheth, quo miserat eum Dominus ad prophetandum, et stetit in atrio domus Domini, et dixit ad omnem populum : (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃19 ויבא ירמיהו מהתפת אשר שלחו יהוה שם להנבא ויעמד בחצר בית יהוה ויאמר אל כל העם ס (Ⅴ)

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je vais faire venir sur cette ville et sur toutes les villes qui dépendent d'elle tous les malheurs que je lui ai prédits, parce qu'ils ont raidi leur cou, pour ne point écouter mes paroles. (Ⅱ) - τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην καὶ ἐπὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτη̃ς ἅπαντα τὰ κακά ἃ ἐλάλησα ἐπ' αὐτήν ὅτι ἐσκλήρυναν τὸν τράχηλον αὐτω̃ν του̃ μὴ εἰσακούειν τω̃ν λόγων μου (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël : Ecce ego inducam super civitatem hanc, et super omnes urbes ejus, universa mala quæ locutus sum adversum eam, quoniam induraverunt cervicem suam ut non audirent sermones meos. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃19 כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני *מבי **מביא אל העיר הזאת ועל כל עריה את כל הרעה אשר דברתי עליה כי הקשו את ערפם לבלתי שמוע את דברי (Ⅴ)
