The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
- La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Éternel, en ces mots: (Ⅱ) - Hoc verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam a Domino, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃30 הדבר אשר היה אל ירמיהו מאת יהוה לאמר (Ⅴ)

Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Écris dans un livre toutes les paroles que je t'ai dites. (Ⅱ) - Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël, dicens : Scribe tibi omnia verba quæ locutus sum ad te, in libro. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃30 כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל לאמר כתב לך את כל הדברים אשר דברתי אליך אל ספר (Ⅴ)

For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
- Voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, où je ramènerai les captifs de mon peuple d'Israël et de Juda, dit l'Éternel; je les ramènerai dans le pays que j'ai donné à leurs pères, et ils le posséderont. (Ⅱ) - Ecce enim dies veniunt, dicit Dominus, et convertam conversionem populi mei Israël et Juda, ait Dominus : et convertam eos ad terram quam dedi patribus eorum, et possidebunt eam. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃30 כי הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה ושבתי את שבות עמי ישראל ויהודה אמר יהוה והשבתים אל הארץ אשר נתתי לאבותם וירשוה פ (Ⅴ)

And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
- Ce sont ici les paroles que l'Éternel a prononcées sur Israël et sur Juda. (Ⅱ) - Et hæc verba quæ locutus est Dominus ad Israël et ad Judam : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃30 ואלה הדברים אשר דבר יהוה אל ישראל ואל יהודה (Ⅴ)

For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Nous entendons des cris d'effroi; C'est l'épouvante, ce n'est pas la paix. (Ⅱ) - Quoniam hæc dicit Dominus :/ Vocem terroris audivimus :/ formido, et non est pax./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃30 כי כה אמר יהוה קול חרדה שמענו פחד ואין שלום (Ⅴ)

Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
- Informez-vous, et regardez si un mâle enfante! Pourquoi vois-je tous les hommes les mains sur leurs reins, Comme une femme en travail? Pourquoi tous les visages sont-ils devenus pâles? (Ⅱ) - Interrogate, et videte si generat masculus :/ quare ergo vidi omnis viri manum/ super lumbum suum, quasi parturientis,/ et conversæ sunt universæ facies in auruginem ?/ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃30 שאלו נא וראו אם ילד זכר מדוע ראיתי כל גבר ידיו על חלציו כיולדה ונהפכו כל פנים לירקון (Ⅴ)

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
- Malheur! car ce jour est grand; Il n'y en a point eu de semblable. C'est un temps d'angoisse pour Jacob; Mais il en sera délivré. (Ⅱ) - Væ ! quia magna dies illa,/ nec est similis ejus :/ tempusque tribulationis est Jacob,/ et ex ipso salvabitur./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃30 הוי כי גדול היום ההוא מאין כמהו ועת צרה היא ליעקב וממנה יושע (Ⅴ)

For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
- En ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel des armées, Je briserai son joug de dessus ton cou, Je romprai tes liens, Et des étrangers ne t'assujettiront plus. (Ⅱ) - Et erit in die illa, ait Dominus exercituum :/ conteram jugum ejus de collo tuo,/ et vincula ejus dirumpam,/ et non dominabuntur ei amplius alieni :/ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃30 והיה ביום ההוא נאם יהוה צבאות אשבר עלו מעל צוארך ומוסרותיך אנתק ולא יעבדו בו עוד זרים (Ⅴ)

But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
- Ils serviront l'Éternel, leur Dieu, Et David, leur roi, que je leur susciterai. (Ⅱ) - sed servient Domino Deo suo,/ et David regi suo,/ quem suscitabo eis./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃30 ועבדו את יהוה אלהיהם ואת דוד מלכם אשר אקים להם ס (Ⅴ)

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
- Et toi, mon serviteur Jacob, ne crains pas, dit l'Éternel; Ne t'effraie pas, Israël! Car je te délivrerai de la terre lointaine, Je délivrerai ta postérité du pays où elle est captive; Jacob reviendra, il jouira du repos et de la tranquillité, Et il n'y aura personne pour le troubler. (Ⅱ) - Tu ergo ne timeas, serve meus Jacob, ait Dominus,/ neque paveas, Israël :/ quia ecce ego salvabo te de terra longinqua,/ et semen tuum de terra captivitatis eorum :/ et revertetur Jacob, et quiescet,/ et cunctis affluet bonis, et non erit quem formidet :/ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃30 ואתה אל תירא עבדי יעקב נאם יהוה ואל תחת ישראל כי הנני מושיעך מרחוק ואת זרעך מארץ שבים ושב יעקב ושקט ושאנן ואין מחריד (Ⅴ)

For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
- Car je suis avec toi, dit l'Éternel, pour te délivrer; J'anéantirai toutes les nations parmi lesquelles je t'ai dispersé, Mais toi, je ne t'anéantirai pas; Je te châtierai avec équité, Je ne puis pas te laisser impuni. (Ⅱ) - quoniam tecum ego sum, ait Dominus, ut salvem te./ Faciam enim consummationem in cunctis gentibus/ in quibus dispersi te :/ te autem non faciam in consummationem :/ sed castigabo te in judicio,/ ut non videaris tibi innoxius./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃30 כי אתך אני נאם יהוה להושיעך כי אעשה כלה בכל הגוים אשר הפצותיך שם אך אתך לא אעשה כלה ויסרתיך למשפט ונקה לא אנקך פ (Ⅴ)

For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Ta blessure est grave, Ta plaie est douloureuse. (Ⅱ) - Quia hæc dicit Dominus :/ Insanabilis fractura tua ;/ pessima plaga tua :/ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃30 כי כה אמר יהוה אנוש לשברך נחלה מכתך (Ⅴ)

There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
- Nul ne défend ta cause, pour bander ta plaie; Tu n'as ni remède, ni moyen de guérison. (Ⅱ) - non est qui judicet judicium tuum ad alligandum :/ curationum utilitas non est tibi./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃30 אין דן דינך למזור רפאות תעלה אין לך (Ⅴ)

All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
- Tous ceux qui t'aimaient t'oublient, Aucun ne prend souci de toi; Car je t'ai frappée comme frappe un ennemi, Je t'ai châtiée avec violence, A cause de la multitude de tes iniquités, Du grand nombre de tes péchés. (Ⅱ) - Omnes amatores tui obliti sunt tui,/ teque non quærent :/ plaga enim inimici percussi te castigatione crudeli :/ propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuæ dura facta sunt peccata tua./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃30 כל מאהביך שכחוך אותך לא ידרשו כי מכת אויב הכיתיך מוסר אכזרי על רב עונך עצמו חטאתיך (Ⅴ)

Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
- Pourquoi te plaindre de ta blessure, De la douleur que cause ton mal? C'est à cause de la multitude de tes iniquités, Du grand nombre de tes péchés, Que je t'ai fait souffrir ces choses. (Ⅱ) - Quid clamas super contritione tua ?/ insanabilis est dolor tuus :/ propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuæ,/ et propter dura peccata tua,/ feci hæc tibi./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃30 מה תזעק על שברך אנוש מכאבך על רב עונך עצמו חטאתיך עשיתי אלה לך (Ⅴ)

Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
- Cependant, tous ceux qui te dévorent seront dévorés, Et tout tes ennemis, tous, iront en captivité; Ceux qui te dépouillent seront dépouillés, Et j'abandonnerai au pillage tous ceux qui te pillent. (Ⅱ) - Propterea omnes qui comedunt te devorabuntur,/ et universi hostes tui in captivitatem ducentur :/ et qui te vastant vastabuntur,/ cunctosque prædatores tuos dabo in prædam./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃30 לכן כל אכליך יאכלו וכל צריך כלם בשבי ילכו והיו שאסיך למשסה וכל בזזיך אתן לבז (Ⅴ)

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
- Mais je te guérirai, je panserai tes plaies, Dit l'Éternel. Car ils t'appellent la repoussée, Cette Sion dont nul ne prend souci. (Ⅱ) - Obducam enim cicatricem tibi,/ et a vulneribus tuis sanabo te, dicit Dominus./ Quia ejectam vocaverunt te, Sion :/ hæc est, quæ non habebat requirentem./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃30 כי אעלה ארכה לך וממכותיך ארפאך נאם יהוה כי נדחה קראו לך ציון היא דרש אין לה ס (Ⅴ)

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je ramène les captifs des tentes de Jacob, J'ai compassion de ses demeures; La ville sera rebâtie sur ses ruines, Le palais sera rétabli comme il était. (Ⅱ) - Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Ecce ego convertam conversionem tabernaculorum Jacob,/ et tectis ejus miserebor :/ et ædificabitur civitas in excelso suo,/ et templum juxta ordinem suum fundabitur :/ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃30 כה אמר יהוה הנני שב שבות אהלי יעקוב ומשכנתיו ארחם ונבנתה עיר על תלה וארמון על משפטו ישב (Ⅴ)

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
- Du milieu d'eux s'élèveront des actions de grâces Et des cris de réjouissance; Je les multiplierai, et ils ne diminueront pas; Je les honorerai, et ils ne seront pas méprisés. (Ⅱ) - et egredietur de eis laus,/ voxque ludentium./ Et multiplicabo eos, et non minuentur :/ et glorificabo eos, et non attenuabuntur./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃30 ויצא מהם תודה וקול משחקים והרבתים ולא ימעטו והכבדתים ולא יצערו (Ⅴ)

Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
- Ses fils seront comme autrefois, Son assemblée subsistera devant moi, Et je châtierai tous ses oppresseurs. (Ⅱ) - Et erunt filii ejus sicut a principio,/ et cœtus ejus coram me permanebit,/ et visitabo adversum omnes qui tribulant eum./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃30 והיו בניו כקדם ועדתו לפני תכון ופקדתי על כל לחציו (Ⅴ)

And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.
- Son chef sera tiré de son sein, Son dominateur sortira du milieu de lui; Je le ferai approcher, et il viendra vers moi; Car qui oserait de lui-même s'approcher de moi? Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - Et erit dux ejus ex eo,/ et princeps de medio ejus producetur :/ et applicabo eum, et accedet ad me./ Quis enim iste est qui applicet cor suum/ ut appropinquet mihi ? ait Dominus :/ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃30 והיה אדירו ממנו ומשלו מקרבו יצא והקרבתיו ונגש אלי כי מי הוא זה ערב את לבו לגשת אלי נאם יהוה (Ⅴ)

And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
- Vous serez mon peuple, Et je serai votre Dieu. (Ⅱ) - et eritis mihi in populum, et ego ero vobis in Deum./ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃30 והייתם לי לעם ואנכי אהיה לכם לאלהים ס (Ⅴ)

Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
- Voici, la tempête de l'Éternel, la fureur éclate, L'orage se précipite, Il fond sur la tête des méchants. (Ⅱ) - Ecce turbo Domini, furor egrediens, procella ruens :/ in capite impiorum conquiescet./ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃30 הנה סערת יהוה חמה יצאה סער מתגורר על ראש רשעים יחול (Ⅴ)

The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
- La colère ardente de l'Éternel ne se calmera pas, Jusqu'à ce qu'il ait accompli, exécuté les desseins de son coeur. Vous le comprendrez dans la suite des temps. (Ⅱ) - Non avertet iram indignationis Dominus,/ donec faciat et compleat cogitationem cordis sui :/ in novissimo dierum intelligetis ea.] (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃30 לא ישוב חרון אף יהוה עד עשתו ועד הקימו מזמות לבו באחרית הימים תתבוננו בה (Ⅴ)
