32. 1  
The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.
- La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Éternel, la dixième année de Sédécias, roi de Juda. -C'était la dix-huitième année de Nebucadnetsar. (Ⅱ)
- Verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam a Domino, in anno decimo Sedeciæ regis Juda, ipse est annus decimusoctavus Nabuchodonosor. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃32  הדבר אשר היה אל ירמיהו מאת יהוה *בשנת **בשנה העשרית לצדקיהו מלך יהודה היא השנה שמנה עשרה שנה לנבוכדראצר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 2  
For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.
- L'armée du roi de Babylone assiégeait alors Jérusalem; et Jérémie, le prophète, était enfermé dans la cour de la prison qui était dans la maison du roi de Juda. (Ⅱ)
- Tunc exercitus regis Babylonis obsidebat Jerusalem, et Jeremias propheta erat clausus in atrio carceris qui erat in domo regis Juda. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃32  ואז חיל מלך בבל צרים על ירושלם וירמיהו הנביא היה כלוא בחצר המטרה אשר בית מלך יהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 3  
For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
- Sédécias, roi de Juda, l'avait fait enfermer, et lui avait dit: Pourquoi prophétises-tu, en disant: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je livre cette ville entre les mains du roi de Babylone, et il la prendra; (Ⅱ)
- Clauserat enim eum Sedecias rex Juda, dicens : Quare vaticinaris, dicens : Hæc dicit Dominus : Ecce ego dabo civitatem istam in manus regis Babylonis, et capiet eam : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃32  אשר כלאו צדקיהו מלך יהודה לאמר מדוע אתה נבא לאמר כה אמר יהוה הנני נתן את העיר הזאת ביד מלך בבל ולכדה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 4  
And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;
- Sédécias, roi de Juda, n'échappera pas aux Chaldéens, mais il sera livré entre les mains du roi de Babylone, il lui parlera bouche à bouche, et ses yeux verront ses yeux; (Ⅱ)
- et Sedecias rex Juda non effugiet de manu Chaldæorum, sed tradetur in manus regis Babylonis : et loquetur os ejus cum ore illius, et oculi ejus oculos illius videbunt : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃32  וצדקיהו מלך יהודה לא ימלט מיד הכשדים כי הנתן ינתן ביד מלך בבל ודבר פיו עם פיו ועיניו את *עינו **עיניו תראינה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 5  
And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.
- le roi de Babylone emmènera Sédécias à Babylone, où il restera jusqu'à ce que je me souvienne de lui, dit l'Éternel; si vous vous battez contre les Chaldéens, vous n'aurez point de succès. (Ⅱ)
- et in Babylonem ducet Sedeciam, et ibi erit donec visitem eum, ait Dominus : si autem dimicaveritis adversum Chaldæos, nihil prosperum habebitis ? (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃32  ובבל יולך את צדקיהו ושם יהיה עד פקדי אתו נאם יהוה כי תלחמו את הכשדים לא תצליחו פ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 6  
And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
- Jérémie dit: La parole de l'Éternel m'a été adressée, en ces mots: (Ⅱ)
- Et dixit Jeremias : Factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃32  ויאמר ירמיהו היה דבר יהוה אלי לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 7  
Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.
- Voici, Hanameel, fils de ton oncle Schallum, va venir auprès de toi pour te dire: Achète mon champ qui est à Anathoth, car tu as le droit de rachat pour l'acquérir. (Ⅱ)
- Ecce Hanameel filius Sellum, patruelis tuus, veniet ad te, dicens : Eme tibi agrum meum qui est in Anathoth, tibi enim competit ex propinquitate ut emas. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃32  הנה חנמאל בן שלם דדך בא אליך לאמר קנה לך את שדי אשר בענתות כי לך משפט הגאלה לקנות ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 8  
So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
- Et Hanameel, fils de mon oncle, vint auprès de moi, selon la parole de l'Éternel, dans la cour de la prison, et il me dit: Achète mon champ, qui est à Anathoth, dans le pays de Benjamin, car tu as le droit d'héritage et de rachat, achète-le! Je reconnus que c'était la parole de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Et venit ad me Hanameel filius patrui mei, secundum verbum Domini, ad vestibulum carceris, et ait ad me : Posside agrum meum qui est in Anathoth, in terra Benjamin, quia tibi competit hæreditas, et tu propinquus es ut possideas. Intellexi autem quod verbum Domini esset : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃32  ויבא אלי חנמאל בן דדי כדבר יהוה אל חצר המטרה ויאמר אלי קנה נא את שדי אשר בענתות אשר בארץ בנימין כי לך משפט הירשה ולך הגאלה קנה לך ואדע כי דבר יהוה הוא ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 9  
And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
- J'achetai de Hanameel, fils de mon oncle, le champ qui est à Anathoth, et je lui pesai l'argent, dix-sept sicles d'argent. (Ⅱ)
- et emi agrum ab Hanameel filio patrui mei, qui est in Anathoth, et appendi ei argentum : septem stateres, et decem argenteos. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃32  ואקנה את השדה מאת חנמאל בן דדי אשר בענתות ואשקלה לו את הכסף שבעה שקלים ועשרה הכסף ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 10  
And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
- J'écrivis un contrat, que je cachetai, je pris des témoins, et je pesai l'argent dans une balance. (Ⅱ)
- Et scripsi in libro, et signavi, et adhibui testes, et appendi argentum in statera. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃32  ואכתב בספר ואחתם ואעד עדים ואשקל הכסף במאזנים ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 11  
So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
- Je pris ensuite le contrat d'acquisition, celui qui était cacheté, conformément à la loi et aux usages, et celui qui était ouvert; (Ⅱ)
- Et accepi librum possessionis signatum, et stipulationes, et rata, et signa forinsecus : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃32  ואקח את ספר המקנה את החתום המצוה והחקים ואת הגלוי ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 12  
And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.
- et je remis le contrat d'acquisition à Baruc, fils de Nérija, fils de Machséja, en présence de Hanameel, fils de mon oncle, en présence des témoins qui avaient signé le contrat d'acquisition, et en présence de tous les juifs qui se trouvaient dans la cour de la prison. (Ⅱ)
- et dedi librum possessionis Baruch filio Neri filii Maasiæ, in oculis Hanameel patruelis mei, in oculis testium qui scripti erant in libro emptionis, et in oculis omnium Judæorum qui sedebant in atrio carceris. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃32  ואתן את הספר המקנה אל ברוך בן נריה בן מחסיה לעיני חנמאל דדי ולעיני העדים הכתבים בספר המקנה לעיני כל היהודים הישבים בחצר המטרה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 13  
And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
- Et je donnai devant eux cet ordre à Baruc: (Ⅱ)
- Et præcepi Baruch coram eis, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃32  ואצוה את‪[1]‬ ברוך לעיניהם לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 14  
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Prends ces écrits, ce contrat d'acquisition, celui qui est cacheté et celui qui est ouvert, et mets-les dans un vase de terre, afin qu'ils se conservent longtemps. (Ⅱ)
- Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël : Sume libros istos, librum emptionis hunc signatum, et librum hunc qui apertus est, et pone illos in vase fictili, ut permanere possint diebus multis : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃32  כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל לקוח את הספרים האלה את ספר המקנה הזה ואת החתום ואת ספר הגלוי הזה ונתתם בכלי חרש למען יעמדו ימים רבים ס‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 15  
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.
- Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: On achètera encore des maisons, des champs et des vignes, dans ce pays. (Ⅱ)
- hæc enim dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël : Adhuc possidebuntur domus, et agri, et vineæ in terra ista.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃32  כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל עוד יקנו בתים ושדות וכרמים בארץ הזאת פ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 16  
Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,
- Après que j'eus remis le contrat d'acquisition à Baruc, fils de Nérija, j'adressai cette prière à l'Éternel: (Ⅱ)
- Et oravi ad Dominum, postquam tradidi librum possessionis Baruch filio Neri, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃32  ואתפלל אל יהוה אחרי תתי את ספר המקנה אל ברוך בן נריה לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 17  
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
- Ah! Seigneur Éternel, Voici, tu as fait les cieux et la terre Par ta grande puissance et par ton bras étendu: Rien n'est étonnant de ta part. (Ⅱ)
- Heu ! heu ! heu ! Domine Deus,/ ecce tu fecisti cælum et terram/ in fortitudine tua magna, et in brachio tuo extento :/ non erit tibi difficile omne verbum :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃32  אהה אדני יהוה הנה אתה עשית את השמים ואת הארץ בכחך הגדול ובזרעך הנטויה לא יפלא ממך כל דבר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 18  
Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
- Tu fais miséricorde jusqu'à la millième génération, Et tu punis l'iniquité des pères dans le sein de leurs enfants après eux. Tu es le Dieu grand, le puissant, Dont le nom est l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ)
- qui facis misericordiam in millibus,/ et reddis iniquitatem patrum in sinum filiorum eorum post eos :/ fortissime, magne, et potens,/ Dominus exercituum nomen tibi./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃32  עשה חסד לאלפים ומשלם עון אבות אל חיק בניהם אחריהם האל הגדול הגבור יהוה צבאות שמו ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 19  
Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
- Tu es grand en conseil et puissant en action; Tu as les yeux ouverts sur toutes les voies des enfants des hommes, Pour rendre à chacun selon ses voies, Selon le fruit de ses oeuvres. (Ⅱ)
- Magnus consilio, et incomprehensibilis cogitatu :/ cujus oculi aperti sunt super omnes vias filiorum Adam,/ ut reddas unicuique secundum vias suas,/ et secundum fructum adinventionum ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃32  גדל העצה ורב העליליה אשר עיניך פקחות על כל דרכי בני אדם לתת לאיש כדרכיו וכפרי מעלליו ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 20  
Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;
- Tu as fait des miracles et des prodiges dans le pays d'Égypte jusqu'à ce jour, Et en Israël et parmi les hommes, Et tu t'es fait un nom comme il l'est aujourd'hui. (Ⅱ)
- Qui posuisti signa et portenta/ in terra Ægypti usque ad diem hanc,/ et in Israël, et in hominibus,/ et fecisti tibi nomen sicut est dies hæc./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃32  אשר שמת אתות ומפתים בארץ מצרים עד היום הזה ובישראל ובאדם ותעשה לך שם כיום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 21  
And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;
- Tu as fait sortir du pays d'Égypte ton peuple d'Israël, Avec des miracles et des prodiges, à main forte et à bras étendu, Et avec une grande terreur. (Ⅱ)
- Et eduxisti populum tuum Israël de terra Ægypti,/ in signis et in portentis,/ et in manu robusta et in brachio extento,/ et in terrore magno :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃32  ותצא את עמך את ישראל מארץ מצרים באתות ובמופתים וביד חזקה ובאזרוע נטויה ובמורא גדול ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 22  
And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
- Tu leur as donné ce pays, Que tu avais juré à leurs pères de leur donner, Pays où coulent le lait et le miel. (Ⅱ)
- et dedisti eis terram hanc,/ quam jurasti patribus eorum ut dares eis,/ terram fluentem lacte et melle./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃32  ותתן להם את הארץ הזאת אשר נשבעת לאבותם לתת להם ארץ זבת חלב ודבש ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 23  
And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:
- Ils sont venus, et ils en ont pris possession. Mais ils n'ont point obéi à ta voix, Ils n'ont point observé ta loi, Ils n'ont pas fait tout ce que tu leur avais ordonné de faire. Et c'est alors que tu as fait fondre sur eux tous ces malheurs! (Ⅱ)
- Et ingressi sunt, et possederunt eam,/ et non obedierunt voci tuæ,/ et in lege tua non ambulaverunt :/ omnia quæ mandasti eis ut facerent non fecerunt,/ et evenerunt eis omnia mala hæc./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃32  ויבאו וירשו אתה ולא שמעו בקולך *ובתרותך **ובתורתך לא הלכו את כל אשר צויתה להם לעשות לא עשו ותקרא אתם את כל הרעה הזאת ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 24  
Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.
- Voici, les terrasses s'élèvent contre la ville et la menacent; La ville sera livrée entre les mains des Chaldéens qui l'attaquent, Vaincue par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste. Ce que tu as dit est arrivé, et tu le vois. (Ⅱ)
- Ecce munitiones exstructæ sunt adversum civitatem ut capiatur,/ et urbs data est in manus Chaldæorum/ qui præliantur adversus eam,/ a facie gladii, et famis, et pestilentiæ :/ et quæcumque locutus es, acciderunt,/ ut tu ipse cernis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃32  הנה הסללות באו העיר ללכדה והעיר נתנה ביד הכשדים הנלחמים עליה מפני החרב והרעב והדבר ואשר דברת היה והנך ראה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 25  
And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
- Néanmoins, Seigneur Éternel, tu m'as dit: Achète un champ pour de l'argent, prends des témoins... Et la ville est livrée entre les mains des Chaldéens! (Ⅱ)
- Et tu dicis mihi, Domine Deus :/ Eme agrum argento, et adhibe testes,/ cum urbs data sit in manus Chaldæorum ?]\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃32  ואתה אמרת אלי אדני יהוה קנה לך השדה בכסף והעד עדים והעיר נתנה ביד הכשדים ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 26  
Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie, en ces mots: (Ⅱ)
- Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 26 ׃32  ויהי דבר יהוה אל ירמיהו לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 27  
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
- Voici, je suis l'Éternel, le Dieu de toute chair. Y a-t-il rien qui soit étonnant de ma part? (Ⅱ)
- Ecce ego Dominus Deus universæ carnis :/ numquid mihi difficile erit omne verbum ?/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 27 ׃32  הנה אני יהוה אלהי כל בשר הממני יפלא כל דבר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 28  
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
- C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je livre cette ville entre les mains des Chaldéens, Et entre les mains de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, Et il la prendra. (Ⅱ)
- Propterea hæc dicit Dominus :/ Ecce ego tradam civitatem istam in manus Chaldæorum,/ et in manus regis Babylonis,/ et capient eam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 28 ׃32  לכן כה אמר יהוה הנני נתן את העיר הזאת ביד הכשדים וביד נבוכדראצר מלך בבל ולכדה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 29  
And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.
- Les Chaldéens qui attaquent cette ville vont entrer, Ils y mettront le feu, et ils la brûleront, Avec les maisons sur les toits desquelles on a offert de l'encens à Baal Et fait des libations à d'autres dieux, Afin de m'irriter. (Ⅱ)
- Et venient Chaldæi præliantes adversum urbem hanc,/ et succendent eam igni, et comburent eam,/ et domos in quarum domatibus sacrificabant Baal,/ et libabant diis alienis libamina ad irritandum me./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 29 ׃32  ובאו הכשדים הנלחמים על העיר הזאת והציתו את העיר הזאת באש ושרפוה ואת הבתים אשר קטרו על גגותיהם לבעל והסכו נסכים לאלהים אחרים למען הכעסני ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 30  
For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.
- Car les enfants d'Israël et les enfants de Juda N'ont fait, dès leur jeunesse, que ce qui est mal à mes yeux; Les enfants d'Israël n'ont fait que m'irriter Par l'oeuvre de leurs mains, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Erant enim filii Israël et filii Juda/ jugiter facientes malum in oculis meis ab adolescentia sua :/ filii Israël, qui usque nunc exacerbant me/ in opere manuum suarum, dicit Dominus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 30 ׃32  כי היו בני ישראל ובני יהודה אך עשים הרע בעיני מנערתיהם כי בני ישראל אך מכעסים אתי במעשה ידיהם נאם יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 31  
For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
- Car cette ville excite ma colère et ma fureur, Depuis le jour où l'a bâtie jusqu'à ce jour; Aussi je veux l'ôter de devant ma face, (Ⅱ)
- Quia in furore et in indignatione mea facta est mihi civitas hæc,/ a die qua ædificaverunt eam/ usque ad diem istam qua auferetur de conspectu meo,/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 31 ׃32  כי על אפי ועל חמתי היתה לי העיר הזאת למן היום אשר בנו אותה ועד היום הזה להסירה מעל פני ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 32  
Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
- A cause de tout le mal que les enfants d'Israël et les enfants de Juda Ont fait pour m'irriter, Eux, leurs rois, leurs chefs, leurs sacrificateurs et leurs prophètes, Les hommes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ)
- propter malitiam filiorum Israël et filiorum Juda,/ quam fecerunt ad iracundiam me provocantes,/ ipsi et reges eorum,/ principes eorum, et sacerdotes eorum, et prophetæ eorum,/ viri Juda et habitatores Jerusalem./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 32 ׃32  על כל רעת בני ישראל ובני יהודה אשר עשו להכעסני המה מלכיהם שריהם כהניהם ונביאיהם ואיש יהודה וישבי ירושלם ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 33  
And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.
- Ils m'ont tourné le dos, ils ne m'ont pas regardé; On les a enseignés, on les a enseignés dès le matin; Mais ils n'ont pas écouté pour recevoir instruction. (Ⅱ)
- Et verterunt ad me terga, et non facies,/ cum docerem eos diluculo et erudirem,/ et nollent audire, ut acciperent disciplinam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 33 ׃32  ויפנו אלי ערף ולא פנים ולמד אתם השכם ולמד ואינם שמעים לקחת מוסר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 34  
But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.
- Ils ont placé leurs abominations Dans la maison sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué, Afin de la souiller. (Ⅱ)
- Et posuerunt idola sua in domo in qua invocatum est nomen meum,/ ut polluerent eam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 34 ׃32  וישימו שקוציהם בבית אשר נקרא שמי עליו לטמאו ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 35  
And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
- Ils ont bâti des hauts lieux à Baal dans la vallée de Ben Hinnom, Pour faire passer à Moloc leurs fils et leurs filles: Ce que je ne leur avais point ordonné; Et il me n'était point venu à la pensée Qu'ils commettraient de telles horreurs Pour faire pécher Juda. (Ⅱ)
- Et ædificaverunt excelsa Baal/ quæ sunt in valle filii Ennom,/ ut initiarent filios suos et filias suas Moloch,/ quod non mandavi eis,/ nec ascendit in cor meum ut facerent abominationem hanc :/ et in peccatum deducerent Judam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 35 ׃32  ויבנו את במות הבעל אשר בגיא בן הנם להעביר את בניהם ואת בנותיהם למלך אשר לא צויתים ולא עלתה על לבי לעשות התועבה הזאת למען *החטי **החטיא את יהודה ס‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 36  
And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;
- Et maintenant, ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, Sur cette ville dont vous dites: Elle sera livrée entre les mains du roi de Babylone, Vaincue par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste: (Ⅱ)
- Et nunc propter ista,/ hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël ad civitatem hanc,/ de qua vos dicitis quod tradetur in manus regis Babylonis,/ in gladio, et in fame, et in peste :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 36 ׃32  ועתה לכן כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל אל העיר הזאת אשר אתם אמרים נתנה ביד מלך בבל בחרב וברעב ובדבר ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 37  
Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:
- Voici, je les rassemblerai de tous les pays où je les ai chassés, Dans ma colère, dans ma fureur, et dans ma grande irritation; Je les ramènerai dans ce lieu, Et je les y ferai habiter en sûreté. (Ⅱ)
- Ecce ego congregabo eos de universis terris ad quas ejeci eos/ in furore meo, et in ira mea, et in indignatione grandi :/ et reducam eos ad locum istum,/ et habitare eos faciam confidenter :/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 37 ׃32  הנני מקבצם מכל הארצות אשר הדחתים שם באפי ובחמתי ובקצף גדול והשבתים אל המקום הזה והשבתים לבטח ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 38  
And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
- Ils seront mon peuple, Et je serai leur Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- et erunt mihi in populum,/ et ego ero eis in Deum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 38 ׃32  והיו לי לעם ואני אהיה להם לאלהים ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 39  
And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
- Je leur donnerai un même coeur et une même voie, Afin qu'ils me craignent toujours, Pour leur bonheur et celui de leurs enfants après eux. (Ⅱ)
- Et dabo eis cor unum, et viam unam,/ ut timeant me universis diebus,/ et bene sit eis, et filiis eorum post eos./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 39 ׃32  ונתתי להם לב אחד ודרך אחד ליראה אותי כל הימים לטוב להם ולבניהם אחריהם ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 40  
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
- Je traiterai avec eux une alliance éternelle, Je ne me détournerai plus d'eux, Je leur ferai du bien, Et je mettrai ma crainte dans leur coeur, Afin qu'ils ne s'éloignent pas de moi. (Ⅱ)
- Et feriam eis pactum sempiternum,/ et non desinam eis benefacere :/ et timorem meum dabo in corde eorum,/ ut non recedant a me./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 40 ׃32  וכרתי להם ברית עולם אשר לא אשוב מאחריהם להיטיבי אותם ואת יראתי אתן בלבבם לבלתי סור מעלי ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 41  
Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
- Je prendrai plaisir à leur faire du bien, Et je les planterai véritablement dans ce pays, De tout mon coeur et de toute mon âme. (Ⅱ)
- Et lætabor super eis, cum bene eis fecero :/ et plantabo eos in terra ista in veritate,/ in toto corde meo et in tota anima mea./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 41 ׃32  וששתי עליהם להטיב אותם ונטעתים בארץ הזאת באמת בכל לבי ובכל נפשי ס‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 42  
For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
- Car ainsi parle l'Éternel: De même que j'ai fait venir sur ce peuple tous ces grands malheurs, De même je ferai venir sur eux tout le bien que je leur promets. (Ⅱ)
- Quia hæc dicit Dominus :/ Sicut adduxi super populum istum omne malum hoc grande,/ sic adducam super eos/ omne bonum quod ego loquor ad eos./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 42 ׃32  כי כה אמר יהוה כאשר הבאתי אל העם הזה את כל הרעה הגדולה הזאת כן אנכי מביא עליהם את כל הטובה אשר אנכי דבר עליהם ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 43  
And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
- On achètera des champs dans ce pays Dont vous dites: C'est un désert, sans hommes ni bêtes, Il est livré entre les mains des Chaldéens. (Ⅱ)
- Et possidebuntur agri in terra ista,/ de qua vos dicitis quod deserta sit,/ eo quod non remanserit homo et jumentum,/ et data sit in manus Chaldæorum./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 43 ׃32  ונקנה השדה בארץ הזאת אשר אתם אמרים שממה היא מאין אדם ובהמה נתנה ביד הכשדים ‬ (Ⅴ)
32. 44  
Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
- On achètera des champs pour de l'argent, On écrira des contrats, on les cachètera, on prendra des témoins, Dans le pays de Benjamin et aux environs de Jérusalem, Dans les villes de Juda, dans les villes de la montagne, Dans les villes de la plaine et dans les villes du midi; Car je ramènerai leurs captifs, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)
- Agri ementur pecunia, et scribentur in libro,/ et imprimetur signum, et testis adhibebitur,/ in terra Benjamin et in circuitu Jerusalem,/ in civitatibus Juda, et in civitatibus montanis,/ et in civitatibus campestribus, et in civitatibus quæ ad austrum sunt,/ quia convertam captivitatem eorum, ait Dominus.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 44 ׃32  שדות בכסף יקנו וכתוב בספר וחתום והעד עדים בארץ בנימן ובסביבי ירושלם ובערי יהודה ובערי ההר ובערי השפלה ובערי הנגב כי אשיב את שבותם נאם יהוה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
