1. 1

Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:

- Il y avait un homme de Ramathaïm Tsophim, de la montagne d'Éphraïm, nommé Elkana, fils de Jeroham, fils d'Élihu, fils de Thohu, fils de Tsuph, Éphratien. (Ⅱ)

- ἄνθρωπος ἠ̃ν ἐξ Αρμαθαιμ Σιφα ἐξ ὄρους Εφραιμ καὶ ὄνομα αὐτω̨̃ Ελκανα υἱὸς Ιερεμεηλ υἱου̃ Ηλιου υἱου̃ Θοκε ἐν Νασιβ Εφραιμ (Ⅲ)

- Fuit vir unus de Ramathaimsophim, de monte Ephraim, et nomen ejus Elcana, filius Jeroham, filii Eliu, filii Thohu, filii Suph, Ephrathæus : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃1 ויהי איש אחד מן הרמתים צופים מהר אפרים ושמו אלקנה בן ירחם בן אליהוא בן תחו בן צוף אפרתי ‬ (Ⅴ)

And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

- Il avait deux femmes, dont l'une s'appelait Anne, et l'autre Peninna; Peninna avait des enfants, mais Anne n'en avait point. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τούτω̨ δύο γυναι̃κες ὄνομα τη̨̃ μια̨̃ Αννα καὶ ὄνομα τη̨̃ δευτέρα̨ Φεννανα καὶ ἠ̃ν τη̨̃ Φεννανα παιδία καὶ τη̨̃ Αννα οὐκ ἠ̃ν παιδίον (Ⅲ)

- et habuit duas uxores, nomen uni Anna, et nomen secundæ Phenenna. Fueruntque Phenennæ filii : Annæ autem non erant liberi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃1 ולו שתי נשים שם אחת חנה ושם השנית פננה ויהי לפננה ילדים ולחנה אין ילדים ‬ (Ⅴ)

And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.

- Chaque année, cet homme montait de sa ville à Silo, pour se prosterner devant l'Éternel des armées et pour lui offrir des sacrifices. Là se trouvaient les deux fils d'Éli, Hophni et Phinées, sacrificateurs de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβαινεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ἡμερω̃ν εἰς ἡμέρας ἐκ πόλεως αὐτου̃ ἐξ Αρμαθαιμ προσκυνει̃ν καὶ θύειν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θεω̨̃ σαβαωθ εἰς Σηλω καὶ ἐκει̃ Ηλι καὶ οἱ δύο υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ Οφνι καὶ Φινεες ἱερει̃ς του̃ κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Et ascendebat vir ille de civitate sua statutis diebus, ut adoraret et sacrificaret Domino exercituum in Silo. Erant autem ibi duo filii Heli, Ophni et Phinees, sacerdotes Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃1 ועלה האיש ההוא מעירו מימים ימימה להשתחות ולזבח ליהוה צבאות בשלה ושם שני בני עלי חפני ופנחס כהנים ליהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:

- Le jour où Elkana offrait son sacrifice, il donnait des portions à Peninna, sa femme, et à tous les fils et à toutes les filles qu'il avait d'elle. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡμέρα̨ καὶ ἔθυσεν Ελκανα καὶ ἔδωκεν τη̨̃ Φεννανα γυναικὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτη̃ς καὶ ται̃ς θυγατράσιν αὐτη̃ς μερίδας (Ⅲ)

- Venit ergo dies, et immolavit Elcana, deditque Phenennæ uxori suæ, et cunctis filiis ejus et filiabus, partes : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃1 ויהי היום ויזבח אלקנה ונתן לפננה אשתו ולכל בניה ובנותיה מנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.

- Mais il donnait à Anne une portion double; car il aimait Anne, que l'Éternel avait rendue stérile. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τη̨̃ Αννα ἔδωκεν μερίδα μίαν ὅτι οὐκ ἠ̃ν αὐτη̨̃ παιδίον πλὴν ὅτι τὴν Ανναν ἠγάπα Ελκανα ὑπὲρ ταύτην καὶ κύριος ἀπέκλεισεν τὰ περὶ τὴν μήτραν αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Annæ autem dedit partem unam tristis, quia Annam diligebat. Dominus autem concluserat vulvam ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃1 ולחנה יתן מנה אחת אפים כי את חנה אהב ויהוה סגר רחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb.

- Sa rivale lui prodiguait les mortifications, pour la porter à s'irriter de ce que l'Éternel l'avait rendue stérile. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι οὐκ ἔδωκεν αὐτη̨̃ κύριος παιδίον κατὰ τὴν θλι̃ψιν αὐτη̃ς καὶ κατὰ τὴν ἀθυμίαν τη̃ς θλίψεως αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἠθύμει διὰ του̃το ὅτι συνέκλεισεν κύριος τὰ περὶ τὴν μήτραν αὐτη̃ς του̃ μὴ δου̃ναι αὐτη̨̃ παιδίον (Ⅲ)

- Affligebat quoque eam æmula ejus, et vehementer angebat, in tantum ut exprobraret quod Dominus conclusisset vulvam ejus : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃1 וכעסתה צרתה גם כעס בעבור הרעמה כי סגר יהוה בעד רחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.

- Et toutes les années il en était ainsi. Chaque fois qu'Anne montait à la maison de l'Éternel, Peninna la mortifiait de la même manière. Alors elle pleurait et ne mangeait point. (Ⅱ)

- οὕτως ἐποίει ἐνιαυτὸν κατ' ἐνιαυτὸν ἐν τω̨̃ ἀναβαίνειν αὐτὴν εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου καὶ ἠθύμει καὶ ἔκλαιεν καὶ οὐκ ἤσθιεν (Ⅲ)

- sicque faciebat per singulos annos : cum redeunte tempore ascenderent ad templum Domini, et sic provocabat eam : porro illa flebat, et non capiebat cibum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃1 וכן יעשה שנה בשנה מדי עלתה בבית יהוה כן תכעסנה ותבכה ולא תאכל ‬ (Ⅴ)

Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?

- Elkana, son mari, lui disait: Anne, pourquoi pleures-tu, et ne manges-tu pas? pourquoi ton coeur est-il attristé? Est-ce que je ne vaux pas pour toi mieux que dix fils? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ Ελκανα ὁ ἀνὴρ αὐτη̃ς Αννα καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἰδοὺ ἐγώ κύριε καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ τί ἐστίν σοι ὅτι κλαίεις καὶ ἵνα τί οὐκ ἐσθίεις καὶ ἵνα τί τύπτει σε ἡ καρδία σου οὐκ ἀγαθὸς ἐγώ σοι ὑπὲρ δέκα τέκνα (Ⅲ)

- Dixit ergo ei Elcana vir suus : Anna, cur fles ? et quare non comedis ? et quam ob rem affligitur cor tuum ? numquid non ego melior tibi sum, quam decem filii ?\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃1 ויאמר לה אלקנה אישה חנה למה תבכי ולמה לא תאכלי ולמה ירע לבבך הלוא אנכי טוב לך מעשרה בנים ‬ (Ⅴ)

So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.

- Anne se leva, après que l'on eut mangé et bu à Silo. Le sacrificateur Éli était assis sur un siège, près de l'un des poteaux du temple de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέστη Αννα μετὰ τὸ φαγει̃ν αὐτοὺς ἐν Σηλω καὶ κατέστη ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ Ηλι ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐκάθητο ἐπὶ του̃ δίφρου ἐπὶ τω̃ν φλιω̃ν ναου̃ κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Surrexit autem Anna postquam comederat et biberat in Silo. Et Heli sacerdote sedente super sellam ante postes templi Domini, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃1 ותקם חנה אחרי אכלה בשלה ואחרי שתה ועלי הכהן ישב על הכסא על מזוזת היכל יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.

- Et, l'amertume dans l'âme, elle pria l'Éternel et versa des pleurs. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ αὐτὴ κατώδυνος ψυχη̨̃ καὶ προσηύξατο πρὸς κύριον καὶ κλαίουσα ἔκλαυσεν (Ⅲ)

- cum esset Anna amaro animo, oravit ad Dominum, flens largiter, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃1 והיא מרת נפש ותתפלל על יהוה ובכה תבכה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

- Elle fit un voeu, en disant: Éternel des armées! si tu daignes regarder l'affliction de ta servante, si tu te souviens de moi et n'oublies point ta servante, et si tu donnes à ta servante un enfant mâle, je le consacrerai à l'Éternel pour tous les jours de sa vie, et le rasoir ne passera point sur sa tête. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ηὔξατο εὐχὴν κυρίω̨ λέγουσα Αδωναι κύριε ελωαι σαβαωθ ἐὰν ἐπιβλέπων ἐπιβλέψη̨ς ἐπὶ τὴν ταπείνωσιν τη̃ς δούλης σου καὶ μνησθη̨̃ς μου καὶ δω̨̃ς τη̨̃ δούλη̨ σου σπέρμα ἀνδρω̃ν καὶ δώσω αὐτὸν ἐνώπιόν σου δοτὸν ἕως ἡμέρας θανάτου αὐτου̃ καὶ οἰ̃νον καὶ μέθυσμα οὐ πίεται καὶ σίδηρος οὐκ ἀναβήσεται ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- et votum vovit, dicens : Domine exercituum, si respiciens videris afflictionem famulæ tuæ, et recordatus mei fueris, nec oblitus ancillæ tuæ, dederisque servæ tuæ sexum virilem : dabo eum Domino omnibus diebus vitæ ejus, et novacula non ascendet super caput ejus.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃1 ותדר נדר ותאמר יהוה צבאות אם ראה תראה בעני אמתך וזכרתני ולא תשכח את אמתך ונתתה לאמתך זרע אנשים ונתתיו ליהוה כל ימי חייו ומורה לא יעלה על ראשו ‬ (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.

- Comme elle restait longtemps en prière devant l'Éternel, Éli observa sa bouche. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη ὅτε ἐπλήθυνεν προσευχομένη ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ Ηλι ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐφύλαξεν τὸ στόμα αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Factum est autem, cum illa multiplicaret preces coram Domino, ut Heli observaret os ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃1 והיה כי הרבתה להתפלל לפני יהוה ועלי שמר את פיה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

- Anne parlait dans son coeur, et ne faisait que remuer les lèvres, mais on n'entendait point sa voix. Éli pensa qu'elle était ivre, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ αὐτὴ ἐλάλει ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὰ χείλη αὐτη̃ς ἐκινει̃το καὶ φωνὴ αὐτη̃ς οὐκ ἠκούετο καὶ ἐλογίσατο αὐτὴν Ηλι εἰς μεθύουσαν (Ⅲ)

- Porro Anna loquebatur in corde suo, tantumque labia illius movebantur, et vox penitus non audiebatur. Æstimavit ergo eam Heli temulentam, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃1 וחנה היא מדברת על לבה רק שפתיה נעות וקולה לא ישמע ויחשבה עלי לשכרה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.

- et il lui dit: Jusques à quand seras-tu dans l'ivresse? Fais passer ton vin. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ τὸ παιδάριον Ηλι ἕως πότε μεθυσθήση̨ περιελου̃ τὸν οἰ̃νόν σου καὶ πορεύου ἐκ προσώπου κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- dixitque ei : Usquequo ebria eris ? digere paulisper vinum, quo mades. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃1 ויאמר אליה עלי עד מתי תשתכרין הסירי את יינך מעליך ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 15

And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

- Anne répondit: Non, mon seigneur, je suis une femme qui souffre en son coeur, et je n'ai bu ni vin ni boisson enivrante; mais je répandais mon âme devant l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αννα καὶ εἰ̃πεν οὐχί κύριε γυνή ἡ̨̃ σκληρὰ ἡμέρα ἐγώ εἰμι καὶ οἰ̃νον καὶ μέθυσμα οὐ πέπωκα καὶ ἐκχέω τὴν ψυχήν μου ἐνώπιον κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Respondens Anna : Nequaquam, inquit, domine mi : nam mulier infelix nimis ego sum : vinumque et omne quod inebriare potest, non bibi, sed effudi animam meam in conspectu Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃1 ותען חנה ותאמר לא אדני אשה קשת רוח אנכי ויין ושכר לא שתיתי ואשפך את נפשי לפני יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 16

Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.

- Ne prends pas ta servante pour une femme pervertie, car c'est l'excès de ma douleur et de mon chagrin qui m'a fait parler jusqu'à présent. (Ⅱ)

- μὴ δω̨̃ς τὴν δούλην σου εἰς θυγατέρα λοιμήν ὅτι ἐκ πλήθους ἀδολεσχίας μου ἐκτέτακα ἕως νυ̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Ne reputes ancillam tuam quasi unam de filiabus Belial : quia ex multitudine doloris et mœroris mei locuta sum usque in præsens. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃1 אל תתן את אמתך לפני בת בליעל כי מרב שיחי וכעסי דברתי עד הנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

- Éli reprit la parole, et dit: Va en paix, et que le Dieu d'Israël exauce la prière que tu lui as adressée! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Ηλι καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ πορεύου εἰς εἰρήνην ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ δώ̨η σοι πα̃ν αἴτημά σου ὃ ἠ̨τήσω παρ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Tunc Heli ait ei : Vade in pace : et Deus Israël det tibi petitionem tuam quam rogasti eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃1 ויען עלי ויאמר לכי לשלום ואלהי ישראל יתן את שלתך אשר שאלת מעמו ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 18

And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.

- Elle dit: Que ta servante trouve grâce à tes yeux! Et cette femme s'en alla. Elle mangea, et son visage ne fut plus le même. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν εὑ̃ρεν ἡ δούλη σου χάριν ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἡ γυνὴ εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτη̃ς καὶ εἰση̃λθεν εἰς τὸ κατάλυμα αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἔφαγεν μετὰ του̃ ἀνδρὸς αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἔπιεν καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτη̃ς οὐ συνέπεσεν ἔτι (Ⅲ)

- Et illa dixit : Utinam inveniat ancilla tua gratiam in oculis tuis. Et abiit mulier in viam suam, et comedit, vultusque illius non sunt amplius in diversa mutati. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃1 ותאמר תמצא שפחתך חן בעיניך ותלך האשה לדרכה ותאכל ופניה לא היו לה עוד ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 19

And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.

- Ils se levèrent de bon matin, et après s'être prosternés devant l'Éternel, ils s'en retournèrent et revinrent dans leur maison à Rama. Elkana connut Anne, sa femme, et l'Éternel se souvint d'elle. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὀρθρίζουσιν τὸ πρωὶ καὶ προσκυνου̃σιν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ πορεύονται τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτω̃ν καὶ εἰση̃λθεν Ελκανα εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον αὐτου̃ Αρμαθαιμ καὶ ἔγνω τὴν Ανναν γυναι̃κα αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐμνήσθη αὐτη̃ς κύριος (Ⅲ)

- Et surrexerunt mane, et adoraverunt coram Domino : reversique sunt, et venerunt in domum suam Ramatha.\ Cognovit autem Elcana Annam uxorem suam : et recordatus est ejus Dominus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃1 וישכמו בבקר וישתחוו לפני יהוה וישבו ויבאו אל ביתם הרמתה וידע אלקנה את חנה אשתו ויזכרה יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

- Dans le cours de l'année, Anne devint enceinte, et elle enfanta un fils, qu'elle nomma Samuel, car, dit-elle, je l'ai demandé à l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ συνέλαβεν καὶ ἐγενήθη τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱόν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Σαμουηλ καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὅτι παρὰ κυρίου θεου̃ σαβαωθ ἠ̨τησάμην αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Et factum est post circulum dierum, concepit Anna, et peperit filium : vocavitque nomen ejus Samuel, eo quod a Domino postulasset eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃1 ויהי לתקפות הימים ותהר חנה ותלד בן ותקרא את שמו שמואל כי מיהוה שאלתיו ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 21

And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the LORD the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.

- Son mari Elkana monta ensuite avec toute sa maison, pour offrir à l'Éternel le sacrifice annuel, et pour accomplir son voeu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβη ὁ ἄνθρωπος Ελκανα καὶ πα̃ς ὁ οἰ̃κος αὐτου̃ θυ̃σαι ἐν Σηλωμ τὴν θυσίαν τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν καὶ τὰς εὐχὰς αὐτου̃ καὶ πάσας τὰς δεκάτας τη̃ς γη̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Ascendit autem vir ejus Elcana, et omnis domus ejus, ut immolaret Domino hostiam solemnem, et votum suum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃1 ויעל האיש אלקנה וכל ביתו לזבח ליהוה את זבח הימים ואת נדרו ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 22

But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever.

- Mais Anne ne monta point, et elle dit à son mari: Lorsque l'enfant sera sevré, je le mènerai, afin qu'il soit présenté devant l'Éternel et qu'il reste là pour toujours. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Αννα οὐκ ἀνέβη μετ' αὐτου̃ ὅτι εἰ̃πεν τω̨̃ ἀνδρὶ αὐτη̃ς ἕως του̃ ἀναβη̃ναι τὸ παιδάριον ἐὰν ἀπογαλακτίσω αὐτό καὶ ὀφθήσεται τω̨̃ προσώπω̨ κυρίου καὶ καθήσεται ἐκει̃ ἕως αἰω̃νος (Ⅲ)

- Et Anna non ascendit : dixit enim viro suo : Non vadam donec ablactetur infans, et ducam eum, ut appareat ante conspectum Domini, et maneat ibi jugiter. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃1 וחנה לא עלתה כי אמרה לאישה עד יגמל הנער והבאתיו ונראה את פני יהוה וישב שם עד עולם ‬ (Ⅴ)

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.

- Elkana, son mari, lui dit: Fais ce qui te semblera bon, attends de l'avoir sevré. Veuille seulement l'Éternel accomplir sa parole! Et la femme resta et allaita son fils, jusqu'à ce qu'elle le sevrât. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ Ελκανα ὁ ἀνὴρ αὐτη̃ς ποίει τὸ ἀγαθὸν ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου κάθου ἕως ἂν ἀπογαλακτίση̨ς αὐτό ἀλλὰ στήσαι κύριος τὸ ἐξελθὸν ἐκ του̃ στόματός σου καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἐθήλασεν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτη̃ς ἕως ἂν ἀπογαλακτίση̨ αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Et ait ei Elcana vir suus : Fac quod bonum tibi videtur, et mane donec ablactes eum : precorque ut impleat Dominus verbum suum. Mansit ergo mulier, et lactavit filium suum, donec amoveret eum a lacte.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃1 ויאמר לה אלקנה אישה עשי הטוב בעיניך שבי עד גמלך אתו אך יקם יהוה את דברו ותשב האשה ותינק את בנה עד גמלה אתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.

- Quand elle l'eut sevré, elle le fit monter avec elle, et prit trois taureaux, un épha de farine, et une outre de vin. Elle le mena dans la maison de l'Éternel à Silo: l'enfant était encore tout jeune. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνέβη μετ' αὐτου̃ εἰς Σηλωμ ἐν μόσχω̨ τριετίζοντι καὶ ἄρτοις καὶ οιφι σεμιδάλεως καὶ νεβελ οἴνου καὶ εἰση̃λθεν εἰς οἰ̃κον κυρίου ἐν Σηλωμ καὶ τὸ παιδάριον μετ' αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Et adduxit eum secum, postquam ablactaverat, in vitulis tribus, et tribus modiis farinæ, et amphora vini, et adduxit eum ad domum Domini in Silo. Puer autem erat adhuc infantulus : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃1 ותעלהו עמה כאשר גמלתו בפרים שלשה ואיפה אחת קמח ונבל יין ותבאהו בית יהוה שלו והנער נער ‬ (Ⅴ)

And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli.

- Ils égorgèrent les taureaux, et ils conduisirent l'enfant à Éli. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ προσήγαγον ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἔσφαξεν ὁ πατὴρ αὐτου̃ τὴν θυσίαν ἣν ἐποίει ἐξ ἡμερω̃ν εἰς ἡμέρας τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ προσήγαγεν τὸ παιδάριον καὶ ἔσφαξεν τὸν μόσχον καὶ προσήγαγεν Αννα ἡ μήτηρ του̃ παιδαρίου πρὸς Ηλι (Ⅲ)

- et immolaverunt vitulum, et obtulerunt puerum Heli. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃1 וישחטו את הפר ויביאו את הנער אל עלי ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 26

And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the LORD.

- Anne dit: Mon seigneur, pardon! aussi vrai que ton âme vit, mon seigneur, je suis cette femme qui me tenais ici près de toi pour prier l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐν ἐμοί κύριε ζη̨̃ ἡ ψυχή σου ἐγὼ ἡ γυνὴ ἡ καταστα̃σα ἐνώπιόν σου ἐν τω̨̃ προσεύξασθαι πρὸς κύριον (Ⅲ)

- Et ait Anna : Obsecro mi domine, vivit anima tua, domine : ego sum illa mulier, quæ steti coram te hic orans Dominum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃1 ותאמר בי אדני חי נפשך אדני אני האשה הנצבת עמכה בזה להתפלל אל יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 27

For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

- C'était pour cet enfant que je priais, et l'Éternel a exaucé la prière que je lui adressais. (Ⅱ)

- ὑπὲρ του̃ παιδαρίου τούτου προσηυξάμην καὶ ἔδωκέν μοι κύριος τὸ αἴτημά μου ὃ ἠ̨τησάμην παρ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Pro puero isto oravi, et dedit mihi Dominus petitionem meam quam postulavi eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃1 אל הנער הזה התפללתי ויתן יהוה לי את שאלתי אשר שאלתי מעמו ‬ (Ⅴ)

1. 28

Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.

- Aussi je veux le prêter à l'Éternel: il sera toute sa vie prêté à l'Éternel. Et ils se prosternèrent là devant l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- κἀγὼ κιχρω̃ αὐτὸν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς ζη̨̃ αὐτός χρη̃σιν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Idcirco et ego commodavi eum Domino cunctis diebus quibus fuerit commodatus Domino. Et adoraverunt ibi Dominum.\ Et oravit Anna, et ait : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃1 וגם אנכי השאלתהו ליהוה כל הימים אשר היה הוא שאול ליהוה וישתחו שם ליהוה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
