12. 1  
And Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all that ye said unto me, and have made a king over you.
- Samuel dit à tout Israël: Voici, j'ai écouté votre voix dans tout ce que vous m'avez dit, et j'ai établi un roi sur vous. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς πάντα ἄνδρα Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἤκουσα φωνη̃ς ὑμω̃ν εἰς πάντα ὅσα εἴπατέ μοι καὶ ἐβασίλευσα ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς βασιλέα (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem Samuel ad universum Israël : Ecce audivi vocem vestram juxta omnia quæ locuti estis ad me, et constitui super vos regem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃12  ויאמר שמואל אל כל ישראל הנה שמעתי בקלכם לכל אשר אמרתם לי ואמליך עליכם מלך ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 2  
And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day.
- Et maintenant, voici le roi qui marchera devant vous. Pour moi, je suis vieux, j'ai blanchi, et mes fils sont avec vous; j'ai marché à votre tête, depuis ma jeunesse jusqu'à ce jour. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ νυ̃ν ἰδοὺ ὁ βασιλεὺς διαπορεύεται ἐνώπιον ὑμω̃ν κἀγὼ γεγήρακα καὶ καθήσομαι καὶ οἱ υἱοί μου ἰδοὺ ἐν ὑμι̃ν κἀγὼ ἰδοὺ διελήλυθα ἐνώπιον ὑμω̃ν ἐκ νεότητός μου καὶ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης (Ⅲ)
- Et nunc rex graditur ante vos : ego autem senui, et incanui : porro filii mei vobiscum sunt : itaque conversatus coram vobis ab adolescentia mea usque ad hanc diem, ecce præsto sum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃12  ועתה הנה המלך מתהלך לפניכם ואני זקנתי ושבתי ובני הנם אתכם ואני התהלכתי לפניכם מנערי עד היום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 3  
Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
- Me voici! Rendez témoignage contre moi, en présence de l'Éternel et en présence de son oint. De qui ai-je pris le boeuf et de qui ai-je pris l'âne? Qui ai-je opprimé, et qui ai-je traité durement? De qui ai-je reçu un présent, pour fermer les yeux sur lui? Je vous le rendrai. (Ⅱ)
- ἰδοὺ ἐγώ ἀποκρίθητε κατ' ἐμου̃ ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἐνώπιον χριστου̃ αὐτου̃ μόσχον τίνος εἴληφα ἢ ὄνον τίνος εἴληφα ἢ τίνα κατεδυνάστευσα ὑμω̃ν ἢ τίνα ἐξεπίεσα ἢ ἐκ χειρὸς τίνος εἴληφα ἐξίλασμα καὶ ὑπόδημα ἀποκρίθητε κατ' ἐμου̃ καὶ ἀποδώσω ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Loquimini de me coram Domino, et coram christo ejus, utrum bovem cujusquam tulerim, aut asinum : si quempiam calumniatus sum, si oppressi aliquem, si de manu cujusquam munus accepi : et contemnam illud hodie, restituamque vobis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃12  הנני ענו בי נגד יהוה ונגד משיחו את שור מי לקחתי וחמור מי לקחתי ואת מי עשקתי את מי רצותי ומיד מי לקחתי כפר ואעלים עיני בו ואשיב לכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 4  
And they said, Thou hast not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither hast thou taken ought of any man's hand.
- Ils répondirent: Tu ne nous as point opprimés, et tu ne nous as point traités durement, et tu n'as rien reçu de la main de personne. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃παν πρὸς Σαμουηλ οὐκ ἠδίκησας ἡμα̃ς καὶ οὐ κατεδυνάστευσας καὶ οὐκ ἔθλασας ἡμα̃ς καὶ οὐκ εἴληφας ἐκ χειρὸς οὐδενὸς οὐδέν (Ⅲ)
- Et dixerunt : Non es calumniatus nos, neque oppressisti, neque tulisti de manu alicujus quippiam. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃12  ויאמרו לא עשקתנו ולא רצותנו ולא לקחת מיד איש מאומה ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 5  
And he said unto them, The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.
- Il leur dit encore: L'Éternel est témoin contre vous, et son oint est témoin, en ce jour, que vous n'avez rien trouvé dans mes mains. Et ils répondirent: Ils en sont témoins. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς τὸν λαόν μάρτυς κύριος ἐν ὑμι̃ν καὶ μάρτυς χριστὸς αὐτου̃ σήμερον ἐν ταύτη̨ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ὅτι οὐχ εὑρήκατε ἐν χειρί μου οὐθέν καὶ εἰ̃παν μάρτυς (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque ad eos : Testis est Dominus adversum vos, et testis christus ejus in die hac, quia non inveneritis in manu mea quippiam. Et dixerunt : Testis.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃12  ויאמר אליהם עד יהוה בכם ועד משיחו היום הזה כי לא מצאתם בידי מאומה ויאמר עד פ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 6  
And Samuel said unto the people, It is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
- Alors Samuel dit au peuple: C'est l'Éternel qui a établi Moïse et Aaron, et qui a fait monter vos pères du pays d'Égypte. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς τὸν λαὸν λέγων μάρτυς κύριος ὁ ποιήσας τὸν Μωυση̃ν καὶ τὸν Ααρων ὁ ἀναγαγὼν τοὺς πατέρας ἡμω̃ν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου (Ⅲ)
- Et ait Samuel ad populum : Dominus, qui fecit Moysen et Aaron, et eduxit patres nostros de terra Ægypti. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃12  ויאמר שמואל אל העם יהוה אשר עשה את משה ואת אהרן ואשר העלה את אבתיכם מארץ מצרים ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 7  
Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers.
- Maintenant, présentez-vous, et je vous jugerai devant l'Éternel sur tous les bienfaits que l'Éternel vous a accordés, à vous et à vos pères. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ νυ̃ν κατάστητε καὶ δικάσω ὑμα̃ς ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἀπαγγελω̃ ὑμι̃ν τὴν πα̃σαν δικαιοσύνην κυρίου ἃ ἐποίησεν ἐν ὑμι̃ν καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς πατράσιν ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Nunc ergo state, ut judicio contendam adversum vos coram Domino de omnibus misericordiis Domini quas fecit vobiscum et cum patribus vestris : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃12  ועתה התיצבו ואשפטה אתכם לפני יהוה את כל צדקות יהוה אשר עשה אתכם ואת אבותיכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 8  
When Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this place.
- Après que Jacob fut venu en Égypte, vos pères crièrent à l'Éternel, et l'Éternel envoya Moïse et Aaron, qui firent sortir vos pères d'Égypte et les firent habiter dans ce lieu. (Ⅱ)
- ὡς εἰση̃λθεν Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ ἐταπείνωσεν αὐτοὺς Αἴγυπτος καὶ ἐβόησαν οἱ πατέρες ἡμω̃ν πρὸς κύριον καὶ ἀπέστειλεν κύριος τὸν Μωυση̃ν καὶ τὸν Ααρων καὶ ἐξήγαγεν τοὺς πατέρας ἡμω̃ν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ κατώ̨κισεν αὐτοὺς ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ (Ⅲ)
- quomodo Jacob ingressus est in Ægyptum, et clamaverunt patres vestri ad Dominum : et misit Dominus Moysen et Aaron, et eduxit patres vestros de Ægypto, et collocavit eos in loco hoc. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃12  כאשר בא יעקב מצרים ויזעקו אבותיכם אל יהוה וישלח יהוה את משה ואת אהרן ויוציאו את אבתיכם ממצרים וישבום במקום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 9  
And when they forgat the LORD their God, he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the host of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.
- Mais ils oublièrent l'Éternel, leur Dieu; et ils les vendit entre les mains de Sisera, chef de l'armée de Hatsor, entre les mains des Philistins, et entre les mains du roi de Moab, qui leur firent la guerre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπελάθοντο κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἀπέδοτο αὐτοὺς εἰς χει̃ρας Σισαρα ἀρχιστρατήγου Ιαβιν βασιλέως Ασωρ καὶ εἰς χει̃ρας ἀλλοφύλων καὶ εἰς χει̃ρας βασιλέως Μωαβ καὶ ἐπολέμησαν ἐν αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Qui obliti sunt Domini Dei sui, et tradidit eos in manu Sisaræ magistri militiæ Hasor, et in manu Philisthinorum, et in manu regis Moab : et pugnaverunt adversum eos. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃12  וישכחו את יהוה אלהיהם וימכר אתם ביד סיסרא שר צבא חצור וביד פלשתים וביד מלך מואב וילחמו בם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 10  
And they cried unto the LORD, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served Baalim and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.
- Ils crièrent encore à l'Éternel, et dirent: Nous avons péché, car nous avons abandonné l'Éternel, et nous avons servi les Baals et les Astartés; délivre-nous maintenant de la main de nos ennemis, et nous te servirons. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐβόησαν πρὸς κύριον καὶ ἔλεγον ἡμάρτομεν ὅτι ἐγκατελίπομεν τὸν κύριον καὶ ἐδουλεύσαμεν τοι̃ς Βααλιμ καὶ τοι̃ς ἄλσεσιν καὶ νυ̃ν ἐξελου̃ ἡμα̃ς ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθρω̃ν ἡμω̃ν καὶ δουλεύσομέν σοι (Ⅲ)
- Postea autem clamaverunt ad Dominum, et dixerunt : Peccavimus, quia dereliquimus Dominum, et servivimus Baalim et Astaroth : nunc ergo erue nos de manu inimicorum nostrorum, et serviemus tibi. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃12  ויזעקו אל יהוה *ויאמר **ויאמרו חטאנו כי עזבנו את יהוה ונעבד את הבעלים ואת העשתרות ועתה הצילנו מיד איבינו ונעבדך ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 11  
And the LORD sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side, and ye dwelled safe.
- Et l'Éternel envoya Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthé et Samuel, et il vous délivra de la main de vos ennemis qui vous entouraient, et vous demeurâtes en sécurité. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀπέστειλεν κύριος τὸν Ιεροβααλ καὶ τὸν Βαρακ καὶ τὸν Ιεφθαε καὶ τὸν Σαμουηλ καὶ ἐξείλατο ὑμα̃ς ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθρω̃ν ὑμω̃ν τω̃ν κυκλόθεν καὶ κατω̨κει̃τε πεποιθότες (Ⅲ)
- Et misit Dominus Jerobaal, et Badan, et Jephte, et Samuel, et eruit vos de manu inimicorum vestrorum per circuitum, et habitastis confidenter. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃12  וישלח יהוה את ירבעל ואת בדן ואת יפתח ואת שמואל ויצל אתכם מיד איביכם מסביב ותשבו בטח ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 12  
And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the LORD your God was your king.
- Puis, voyant que Nachasch, roi des fils d'Ammon, marchait contre vous, vous m'avez dit: Non! mais un roi régnera sur nous. Et cependant l'Éternel, votre Dieu, était votre roi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἴδετε ὅτι Ναας βασιλεὺς υἱω̃ν Αμμων ἠ̃λθεν ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς καὶ εἴπατε οὐχί ἀλλ' ἢ ὅτι βασιλεὺς βασιλεύσει ἐφ' ἡμω̃ν καὶ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν βασιλεὺς ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Videntes autem quod Naas rex filiorum Ammon venisset adversum vos, dixistis mihi : Nequaquam, sed rex imperabit nobis : cum Dominus Deus vester regnaret in vobis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃12  ותראו כי נחש מלך בני עמון בא עליכם ותאמרו לי לא כי מלך ימלך עלינו ויהוה אלהיכם מלככם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 13  
Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.
- Voici donc le roi que vous avez choisi, que vous avez demandé; voici, l'Éternel a mis sur vous un roi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ νυ̃ν ἰδοὺ ὁ βασιλεύς ὃν ἐξελέξασθε καὶ ἰδοὺ δέδωκεν κύριος ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς βασιλέα (Ⅲ)
- Nunc ergo præsto est rex vester, quem elegistis et petistis : ecce dedit vobis Dominus regem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃12  ועתה הנה המלך אשר בחרתם אשר שאלתם והנה נתן יהוה עליכם מלך ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 14  
If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God:
- Si vous craignez l'Éternel, si vous le servez, si vous obéissez à sa voix, et si vous n'êtes point rebelles à la parole de l'Éternel, vous vous attacherez à l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous et le roi qui règne sur vous. (Ⅱ)
- ἐὰν φοβηθη̃τε τὸν κύριον καὶ δουλεύσητε αὐτω̨̃ καὶ ἀκούσητε τη̃ς φωνη̃ς αὐτου̃ καὶ μὴ ἐρίσητε τω̨̃ στόματι κυρίου καὶ ἠ̃τε καὶ ὑμει̃ς καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς ὁ βασιλεύων ἐφ' ὑμω̃ν ὀπίσω κυρίου πορευόμενοι (Ⅲ)
- Si timueritis Dominum, et servieritis ei, et audieritis vocem ejus, et non exasperaveritis os Domini, eritis et vos, et rex qui imperat vobis, sequentes Dominum Deum vestrum : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃12  אם תיראו את יהוה ועבדתם אתו ושמעתם בקלו ולא תמרו את פי יהוה והיתם גם אתם וגם המלך אשר מלך עליכם אחר יהוה אלהיכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 15  
But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
- Mais si vous n'obéissez pas à la voix de l'Éternel, et si vous êtes rebelles à la parole de l'Éternel, la main de l'Éternel sera contre vous, comme elle a été contre vos pères. (Ⅱ)
- ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀκούσητε τη̃ς φωνη̃ς κυρίου καὶ ἐρίσητε τω̨̃ στόματι κυρίου καὶ ἔσται χεὶρ κυρίου ἐπὶ ὑμα̃ς καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- si autem non audieritis vocem Domini, sed exasperaveritis sermones ejus, erit manus Domini super vos, et super patres vestros. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃12  ואם לא תשמעו בקול יהוה ומריתם את פי יהוה והיתה יד יהוה בכם ובאבתיכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 16  
Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
- Attendez encore ici, et voyez le prodige que l'Éternel va opérer sous vos yeux. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ νυ̃ν κατάστητε καὶ ἴδετε τὸ ῥη̃μα τὸ μέγα του̃το ὃ ὁ κύριος ποιήσει ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Sed et nunc state, et videte rem istam grandem quam facturus est Dominus in conspectu vestro. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃12  גם עתה התיצבו וראו את הדבר הגדול הזה אשר יהוה עשה לעיניכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 17  
Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.
- Ne sommes-nous pas à la moisson des blés? J'invoquerai l'Éternel, et il enverra du tonnerre et de la pluie. Sachez alors et voyez combien vous avez eu tort aux yeux de l'Éternel de demander pour vous un roi. (Ⅱ)
- οὐχὶ θερισμὸς πυρω̃ν σήμερον ἐπικαλέσομαι κύριον καὶ δώσει φωνὰς καὶ ὑετόν καὶ γνω̃τε καὶ ἴδετε ὅτι ἡ κακία ὑμω̃ν μεγάλη ἣν ἐποιήσατε ἐνώπιον κυρίου αἰτήσαντες ἑαυτοι̃ς βασιλέα (Ⅲ)
- Numquid non messis tritici est hodie ? invocabo Dominum, et dabit voces et pluvias : et scietis, et videbitis, quia grande malum feceritis vobis in conspectu Domini, petentes super vos regem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃12  הלוא קציר חטים היום אקרא אל יהוה ויתן קלות ומטר ודעו וראו כי רעתכם רבה אשר עשיתם בעיני יהוה לשאול לכם מלך ס‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 18  
So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
- Samuel invoqua l'Éternel, et l'Éternel envoya ce même jour du tonnerre et de la pluie. Tout le peuple eut une grande crainte de l'Éternel et de Samuel. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο Σαμουηλ τὸν κύριον καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος φωνὰς καὶ ὑετὸν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς τὸν κύριον σφόδρα καὶ τὸν Σαμουηλ (Ⅲ)
- Et clamavit Samuel ad Dominum, et dedit Dominus voces et pluvias in illa die.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃12  ויקרא שמואל אל יהוה ויתן יהוה קלת ומטר ביום ההוא ויירא כל העם מאד את יהוה ואת שמואל ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 19  
And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.
- Et tout le peuple dit à Samuel: Prie l'Éternel, ton Dieu, pour tes serviteurs, afin que nous ne mourions pas; car nous avons ajouté à tous nos péchés le tort de demander pour nous un roi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃παν πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Σαμουηλ πρόσευξαι ὑπὲρ τω̃ν δούλων σου πρὸς κύριον θεόν σου καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν ὅτι προστεθείκαμεν πρὸς πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμω̃ν κακίαν αἰτήσαντες ἑαυτοι̃ς βασιλέα (Ⅲ)
- Et timuit omnis populus nimis Dominum et Samuelem, et dixit universus populus ad Samuelem : Ora pro servis tuis ad Dominum Deum tuum, ut non moriamur : addidimus enim universis peccatis nostris malum, ut peteremus nobis regem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃12  ויאמרו כל העם אל שמואל התפלל בעד עבדיך אל יהוה אלהיך ואל נמות כי יספנו על כל חטאתינו רעה לשאל לנו מלך ס‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 20  
And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;
- Samuel dit au peuple: N'ayez point de crainte! Vous avez fait tout ce mal; mais ne vous détournez pas de l'Éternel, et servez l'Éternel de tout votre coeur. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς τὸν λαόν μὴ φοβει̃σθε ὑμει̃ς πεποιήκατε τὴν πα̃σαν κακίαν ταύτην πλὴν μὴ ἐκκλίνητε ἀπὸ ὄπισθεν κυρίου καὶ δουλεύσατε τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐν ὅλη̨ καρδία̨ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem Samuel ad populum : Nolite timere : vos fecistis universum malum hoc, verumtamen nolite recedere a tergo Domini, sed servite Domino in omni corde vestro. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃12  ויאמר שמואל אל העם אל תיראו אתם עשיתם את כל הרעה הזאת אך אל תסורו מאחרי יהוה ועבדתם את יהוה בכל לבבכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 21  
And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
- Ne vous en détournez pas; sinon, vous iriez après des choses de néant, qui n'apportent ni profit ni délivrance, parce que ce sont des choses de néant. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ μὴ παραβη̃τε ὀπίσω τω̃ν μηθὲν ὄντων οἳ οὐ περανου̃σιν οὐθὲν καὶ οἳ οὐκ ἐξελου̃νται ὅτι οὐθέν εἰσιν (Ⅲ)
- Et nolite declinare post vana, quæ non proderunt vobis, neque eruent vos, quia vana sunt. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃12  ולא תסורו כי אחרי התהו אשר לא יועילו ולא יצילו כי תהו המה ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 22  
For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.
- L'Éternel n'abandonnera point son peuple, à cause de son grand nom, car l'Éternel a résolu de faire de vous son peuple. (Ⅱ)
- ὅτι οὐκ ἀπώσεται κύριος τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ διὰ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ τὸ μέγα ὅτι ἐπιεικέως κύριος προσελάβετο ὑμα̃ς αὑτω̨̃ εἰς λαόν (Ⅲ)
- Et non derelinquet Dominus populum suum propter nomen suum magnum : quia juravit Dominus facere vos sibi populum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃12  כי לא יטש יהוה את עמו בעבור שמו הגדול כי הואיל יהוה לעשות אתכם לו לעם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 23  
Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
- Loin de moi aussi de pécher contre l'Éternel, de cesser de prier pour vous! Je vous enseignerai le bon et le droit chemin. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐμοὶ μηδαμω̃ς του̃ ἁμαρτει̃ν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἀνιέναι του̃ προσεύχεσθαι περὶ ὑμω̃ν καὶ δουλεύσω τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ δείξω ὑμι̃ν τὴν ὁδὸν τὴν ἀγαθὴν καὶ τὴν εὐθει̃αν (Ⅲ)
- Absit autem a me hoc peccatum in Dominum, ut cessem orare pro vobis, et docebo vos viam bonam et rectam. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃12  גם אנכי חלילה לי מחטא ליהוה מחדל להתפלל בעדכם והוריתי אתכם בדרך הטובה והישרה ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 24  
Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- Craignez seulement l'Éternel, et servez-le fidèlement de tout votre coeur; car voyez quelle puissance il déploie parmi vous. (Ⅱ)
- πλὴν φοβει̃σθε τὸν κύριον καὶ δουλεύσατε αὐτω̨̃ ἐν ἀληθεία̨ καὶ ἐν ὅλη̨ καρδία̨ ὑμω̃ν ὅτι εἴδετε ἃ ἐμεγάλυνεν μεθ' ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Igitur timete Dominum, et servite ei in veritate, et ex toto corde vestro : vidistis enim magnifica quæ in vobis gesserit. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃12  אך יראו את יהוה ועבדתם אתו באמת בכל לבבכם כי ראו את אשר הגדל עמכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
12. 25  
But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.
- Mais si vous faites le mal, vous périrez, vous et votre roi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐὰν κακία̨ κακοποιήσητε καὶ ὑμει̃ς καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς ὑμω̃ν προστεθήσεσθε (Ⅲ)
- Quod si perseveraveritis in malitia, et vos et rex vester pariter peribitis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃12  ואם הרע תרעו גם אתם גם מלככם תספו פ‬ (Ⅴ)
