4. 1  
And the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out against the Philistines to battle, and pitched beside Ebenezer: and the Philistines pitched in Aphek.
- La parole de Samuel s'adressait à tout Israël. Israël sortit à la rencontre des Philistins, pour combattre. Ils campèrent près d'Ében Ézer, et les Philistins étaient campés à Aphek. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις καὶ συναθροίζονται ἀλλόφυλοι εἰς πόλεμον ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ισραηλ εἰς ἀπάντησιν αὐτοι̃ς εἰς πόλεμον καὶ παρεμβάλλουσιν ἐπὶ Αβενεζερ καὶ οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι παρεμβάλλουσιν ἐν Αφεκ (Ⅲ)
- Et factum est in diebus illis, convenerunt Philisthiim in pugnam : et egressus est Israël obviam Philisthiim in prælium, et castrametatus est juxta lapidem Adjutorii. Porro Philisthiim venerunt in Aphec, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃4   ויהי דבר שמואל לכל ישראל ויצא ישראל לקראת פלשתים למלחמה ויחנו על האבן העזר ופלשתים חנו באפק ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 2  
And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about four thousand men.
- Les Philistins se rangèrent en bataille contre Israël, et le combat s'engagea. Israël fut battu par les Philistins, qui tuèrent sur le champ de bataille environ quatre mille hommes. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ παρατάσσονται οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι εἰς πόλεμον ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἔκλινεν ὁ πόλεμος καὶ ἔπταισεν ἀνὴρ Ισραηλ ἐνώπιον ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἐπλήγησαν ἐν τη̨̃ παρατάξει ἐν ἀγρω̨̃ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες ἀνδρω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- et instruxerunt aciem contra Israël. Inito autem certamine, terga vertit Israël Philisthæis : et cæsa sunt in illo certamine passim per agros, quasi quatuor millia virorum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃4   ויערכו פלשתים לקראת ישראל ותטש המלחמה וינגף ישראל לפני פלשתים ויכו במערכה בשדה כארבעת אלפים איש ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 3  
And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.
- Le peuple rentra au camp, et les anciens d'Israël dirent: Pourquoi l'Éternel nous a-t-il laissé battre aujourd'hui par les Philistins? Allons chercher à Silo l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel; qu'elle vienne au milieu de nous, et qu'elle nous délivre de la main de nos ennemis. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠ̃λθεν ὁ λαὸς εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν καὶ εἰ̃παν οἱ πρεσβύτεροι Ισραηλ κατὰ τί ἔπταισεν ἡμα̃ς κύριος σήμερον ἐνώπιον ἀλλοφύλων λάβωμεν τὴν κιβωτὸν του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν ἐκ Σηλωμ καὶ ἐξελθέτω ἐν μέσω̨ ἡμω̃ν καὶ σώσει ἡμα̃ς ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθρω̃ν ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Et reversus est populus ad castra : dixeruntque majores natu de Israël : Quare percussit nos Dominus hodie coram Philisthiim ? afferamus ad nos de Silo arcam fœderis Domini, et veniat in medium nostri, ut salvet nos de manu inimicorum nostrorum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃4   ויבא העם אל המחנה ויאמרו זקני ישראל למה נגפנו יהוה היום לפני פלשתים נקחה אלינו משלה את ארון ברית יהוה ויבא בקרבנו וישענו מכף איבינו ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 4  
So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubim: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
- Le peuple envoya à Silo, d'où l'on apporta l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel des armées qui siège entre les chérubins. Les deux fils d'Éli, Hophni et Phinées, étaient là, avec l'arche de l'alliance de Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ λαὸς εἰς Σηλωμ καὶ αἴρουσιν ἐκει̃θεν τὴν κιβωτὸν κυρίου καθημένου χερουβιμ καὶ ἀμφότεροι οἱ υἱοὶ Ηλι μετὰ τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ Οφνι καὶ Φινεες (Ⅲ)
- Misit ergo populus in Silo, et tulerunt inde arcam fœderis Domini exercituum sedentis super cherubim : erantque duo filii Heli cum arca fœderis Dei, Ophni et Phinees. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃4   וישלח העם שלה וישאו משם את ארון ברית יהוה צבאות ישב הכרבים ושם שני בני עלי עם ארון ברית האלהים חפני ופינחס ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 5  
And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again.
- Lorsque l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel entra dans le camp, tout Israël poussa de grands cris de joie, et la terre en fut ébranlée. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγενήθη ὡς ἠ̃λθεν κιβωτὸς κυρίου εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν καὶ ἀνέκραξεν πα̃ς Ισραηλ φωνη̨̃ μεγάλη̨ καὶ ἤχησεν ἡ γη̃ (Ⅲ)
- Cumque venisset arca fœderis Domini in castra, vociferatus est omnis Israël clamore grandi, et personuit terra. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃4   ויהי כבוא ארון ברית יהוה אל המחנה וירעו כל ישראל תרועה גדולה ותהם הארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 6  
And when the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, What meaneth the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews? And they understood that the ark of the LORD was come into the camp.
- Le retentissement de ces cris fut entendu des Philistins, et ils dirent: Que signifient ces grands cris qui retentissent dans le camp des Hébreux? Et ils apprirent que l'arche de l'Éternel était arrivée au camp. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι τη̃ς κραυγη̃ς καὶ εἰ̃πον οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι τίς ἡ κραυγὴ ἡ μεγάλη αὕτη ἐν παρεμβολη̨̃ τω̃ν Εβραίων καὶ ἔγνωσαν ὅτι κιβωτὸς κυρίου ἥκει εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν (Ⅲ)
- Et audierunt Philisthiim vocem clamoris, dixeruntque : Quænam est hæc vox clamoris magni in castris Hebræorum ? Et cognoverunt quod arca Domini venisset in castra. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃4   וישמעו פלשתים את קול התרועה ויאמרו מה קול התרועה הגדולה הזאת במחנה העברים וידעו כי ארון יהוה בא אל המחנה ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 7  
And the Philistines were afraid, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore.
- Les Philistins eurent peur, parce qu'ils crurent que Dieu était venu dans le camp. Malheur à nous! dirent-ils, car il n'en a pas été ainsi jusqu'à présent. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι καὶ εἰ̃πον οὑ̃τοι οἱ θεοὶ ἥκασιν πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν οὐαὶ ἡμι̃ν ἐξελου̃ ἡμα̃ς κύριε σήμερον ὅτι οὐ γέγονεν τοιαύτη ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην (Ⅲ)
- Timueruntque Philisthiim, dicentes : Venit Deus in castra. Et ingemuerunt, dicentes : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃4   ויראו הפלשתים כי אמרו בא אלהים אל המחנה ויאמרו אוי לנו כי לא היתה כזאת אתמול שלשם ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 8  
Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.
- Malheur à nous! Qui nous délivrera de la main de ces dieux puissants? Ce sont ces dieux qui ont frappé les Égyptiens de toutes sortes de plaies dans le désert. (Ⅱ)
- οὐαὶ ἡμι̃ν τίς ἐξελει̃ται ἡμα̃ς ἐκ χειρὸς τω̃ν θεω̃ν τω̃ν στερεω̃ν τούτων οὑ̃τοι οἱ θεοὶ οἱ πατάξαντες τὴν Αἴγυπτον ἐν πάση̨ πληγη̨̃ καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ (Ⅲ)
- Væ nobis : non enim fuit tanta exultatio heri et nudiustertius : væ nobis. Quis nos salvabit de manu deorum sublimium istorum ? hi sunt dii, qui percusserunt Ægyptum omni plaga in deserto. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃4   אוי לנו מי יצילנו מיד האלהים האדירים האלה אלה הם האלהים המכים את מצרים בכל מכה במדבר ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 9  
Be strong and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.
- Fortifiez-vous et soyez des hommes, Philistins, de peur que vous ne soyez asservis aux Hébreux comme ils vous ont été asservis; soyez des hommes et combattez! (Ⅱ)
- κραταιου̃σθε καὶ γίνεσθε εἰς ἄνδρας ἀλλόφυλοι μήποτε δουλεύσητε τοι̃ς Εβραίοις καθὼς ἐδούλευσαν ἡμι̃ν καὶ ἔσεσθε εἰς ἄνδρας καὶ πολεμήσατε αὐτούς (Ⅲ)
- Confortamini, et estote viri, Philisthiim, ne serviatis Hebræis, sicut et illi servierunt vobis : confortamini, et bellate. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃4   התחזקו והיו לאנשים פלשתים פן תעבדו לעברים כאשר עבדו לכם והייתם לאנשים ונלחמתם ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 10  
And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.
- Les Philistins livrèrent bataille, et Israël fut battu. Chacun s'enfuit dans sa tente. La défaite fut très grande, et il tomba d'Israël trente mille hommes de pied. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπολέμησαν αὐτούς καὶ πταίει ἀνὴρ Ισραηλ καὶ ἔφυγεν ἕκαστος εἰς σκήνωμα αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐγένετο πληγὴ μεγάλη σφόδρα καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐξ Ισραηλ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες ταγμάτων (Ⅲ)
- Pugnaverunt ergo Philisthiim, et cæsus est Israël, et fugit unusquisque in tabernaculum suum : et facta est plaga magna nimis, et ceciderunt de Israël triginta millia peditum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃4   וילחמו פלשתים וינגף ישראל וינסו איש לאהליו ותהי המכה גדולה מאד ויפל מישראל שלשים אלף רגלי ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 11  
And the ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.
- L'arche de Dieu fut prise, et les deux fils d'Éli, Hophni et Phinées, moururent. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ κιβωτὸς θεου̃ ἐλήμφθη καὶ ἀμφότεροι υἱοὶ Ηλι ἀπέθανον Οφνι καὶ Φινεες (Ⅲ)
- Et arca Dei capta est : duo quoque filii Heli mortui sunt, Ophni et Phinees.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃4   וארון אלהים נלקח ושני בני עלי מתו חפני ופינחס ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 12  
And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head.
- Un homme de Benjamin accourut du champ de bataille et vint à Silo le même jour, les vêtements déchirés et la tête couverte de terre. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔδραμεν ἀνὴρ Ιεμιναι̃ος ἐκ τη̃ς παρατάξεως καὶ ἠ̃λθεν εἰς Σηλωμ ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ καὶ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτου̃ διερρηγότα καὶ γη̃ ἐπὶ τη̃ς κεφαλη̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Currens autem vir de Benjamin ex acie, venit in Silo in die illa, scissa veste, et conspersus pulvere caput. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃4   וירץ איש בנימן מהמערכה ויבא שלה ביום ההוא ומדיו קרעים ואדמה על ראשו ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 13  
And when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all the city cried out.
- Lorsqu'il arriva, Éli était dans l'attente, assis sur un siège près du chemin, car son coeur était inquiet pour l'arche de Dieu. A son entrée dans la ville, cet homme donna la nouvelle, et toute la ville poussa des cris. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἠ̃λθεν καὶ ἰδοὺ Ηλι ἐκάθητο ἐπὶ του̃ δίφρου παρὰ τὴν πύλην σκοπεύων τὴν ὁδόν ὅτι ἠ̃ν ἡ καρδία αὐτου̃ ἐξεστηκυι̃α περὶ τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος εἰση̃λθεν εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀπαγγει̃λαι καὶ ἀνεβόησεν ἡ πόλις (Ⅲ)
- Cumque ille venisset, Heli sedebat super sellam contra viam spectans. Erat enim cor ejus pavens pro arca Dei. Vir autem ille postquam ingressus est, nuntiavit urbi : et ululavit omnis civitas. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃4   ויבוא והנה עלי ישב על הכסא *יך **יד דרך מצפה כי היה לבו חרד על ארון האלהים והאיש בא להגיד בעיר ותזעק כל העיר ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 14  
And when Eli heard the noise of the crying, he said, What meaneth the noise of this tumult? And the man came in hastily, and told Eli.
- Éli, entendant ces cris, dit: Que signifie ce tumulte? Et aussitôt l'homme vint apporter la nouvelle à Éli. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἤκουσεν Ηλι τὴν φωνὴν τη̃ς βοη̃ς καὶ εἰ̃πεν τίς ἡ βοὴ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς ταύτης καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος σπεύσας εἰση̃λθεν καὶ ἀπήγγειλεν τω̨̃ Ηλι (Ⅲ)
- Et audivit Heli sonitum clamoris, dixitque : Quis est hic sonitus tumultus hujus ? At ille festinavit, et venit, et nuntiavit Heli. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃4   וישמע עלי את קול הצעקה ויאמר מה קול ההמון הזה והאיש מהר ויבא ויגד לעלי ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 15  
Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see.
- Or Éli était âgé de quatre-vingt-dix-huit ans, il avait les yeux fixes et ne pouvait plus voir. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ Ηλι υἱὸς ἐνενήκοντα ἐτω̃ν καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτου̃ ἐπανέστησαν καὶ οὐκ ἔβλεπεν καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ηλὶ τοι̃ς ἀνδράσιν τοι̃ς περιεστηκόσιν αὐτω̨̃ τίς ἡ φωνὴ του̃ ἤχους τούτου (Ⅲ)
- Heli autem erat nonaginta et octo annorum, et oculi ejus caligaverant, et videre non poterat. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃4   ועלי בן תשעים ושמנה שנה ועיניו קמה ולא יכול לראות ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 16  
And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?
- L'homme dit à Éli: J'arrive du champ de bataille, et c'est du champ de bataille que je me suis enfui aujourd'hui. Éli dit: Que s'est-il passé, mon fils? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὁ ἀνὴρ σπεύσας προση̃λθεν πρὸς Ηλι καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ἥκων ἐκ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς κἀγὼ πέφευγα ἐκ τη̃ς παρατάξεως σήμερον καὶ εἰ̃πεν τί τὸ γεγονὸς ῥη̃μα τέκνον (Ⅲ)
- Et dixit ad Heli : Ego sum qui veni de prælio, et ego qui de acie fugi hodie. Cui ille ait : Quid actum est, fili mi ? (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃4   ויאמר האיש אל עלי אנכי הבא מן המערכה ואני מן המערכה נסתי היום ויאמר מה היה הדבר בני ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 17  
And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.
- Celui qui apportait la nouvelle dit en réponse: Israël a fui devant les Philistins, et le peuple a éprouvé une grande défaite; et même tes deux fils, Hophni et Phinées, sont morts, et l'arche de Dieu a été prise. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀπεκρίθη τὸ παιδάριον καὶ εἰ̃πεν πέφευγεν ἀνὴρ Ισραηλ ἐκ προσώπου ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἐγένετο πληγὴ μεγάλη ἐν τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ καὶ ἀμφότεροι οἱ υἱοί σου τεθνήκασιν καὶ ἡ κιβωτὸς του̃ θεου̃ ἐλήμφθη (Ⅲ)
- Respondens autem ille qui nuntiabat : Fugit, inquit, Israël coram Philisthiim, et ruina magna facta est in populo : insuper et duo filii tui mortui sunt, Ophni et Phinees, et arca Dei capta est. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃4   ויען המבשר ויאמר נס ישראל לפני פלשתים וגם מגפה גדולה היתה בעם וגם שני בניך מתו חפני ופינחס וארון האלהים נלקחה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 18  
And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.
- A peine eut-il fait mention de l'arche de Dieu, qu'Éli tomba de son siège à la renverse, à côté de la porte; il se rompit la nuque et mourut, car c'était un homme vieux et pesant. Il avait été juge en Israël pendant quarante ans. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐμνήσθη τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ἔπεσεν ἀπὸ του̃ δίφρου ὀπισθίως ἐχόμενος τη̃ς πύλης καὶ συνετρίβη ὁ νω̃τος αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀπέθανεν ὅτι πρεσβύτης ὁ ἄνθρωπος καὶ βαρύς καὶ αὐτὸς ἔκρινεν τὸν Ισραηλ εἴκοσι ἔτη (Ⅲ)
- Cumque ille nominasset arcam Dei, cecidit de sella retrorsum juxta ostium, et fractis cervicibus mortuus est. Senex enim erat vir et grandævus : et ipse judicavit Israël quadraginta annis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃4   ויהי כהזכירו את ארון האלהים ויפל מעל הכסא אחרנית בעד יד השער ותשבר מפרקתו וימת כי זקן האיש וכבד והוא שפט את ישראל ארבעים שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 19  
And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.
- Sa belle-fille, femme de Phinées, était enceinte et sur le point d'accoucher. Lorsqu'elle entendit la nouvelle de la prise de l'arche de Dieu, de la mort de son beau-père et de celle de son mari, elle se courba et accoucha, car les douleurs la surprirent. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ νύμφη αὐτου̃ γυνὴ Φινεες συνειληφυι̃α του̃ τεκει̃ν καὶ ἤκουσεν τὴν ἀγγελίαν ὅτι ἐλήμφθη ἡ κιβωτὸς του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ὅτι τέθνηκεν ὁ πενθερὸς αὐτη̃ς καὶ ὁ ἀνὴρ αὐτη̃ς καὶ ὤκλασεν καὶ ἔτεκεν ὅτι ἐπεστράφησαν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ὠδι̃νες αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Nurus autem ejus, uxor Phinees, prægnans erat, vicinaque partui : et audito nuntio quod capta esset arca Dei, et mortuus esset socer suus et vir suus, incurvavit se et peperit : irruerant enim in eam dolores subiti. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃4   וכלתו אשת פינחס הרה ללת ותשמע את השמעה אל הלקח ארון האלהים ומת חמיה ואישה ותכרע ותלד כי נהפכו עליה צריה ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 20  
And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.
- Comme elle allait mourir, les femmes qui étaient auprès d'elle lui dirent: Ne crains point, car tu as enfanté un fils! Mais elle ne répondit pas et n'y fit pas attention. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ αὐτη̃ς ἀποθνή̨σκει καὶ εἰ̃πον αὐτη̨̃ αἱ γυναι̃κες αἱ παρεστηκυι̃αι αὐτη̨̃ μὴ φοβου̃ ὅτι υἱὸν τέτοκας καὶ οὐκ ἀπεκρίθη καὶ οὐκ ἐνόησεν ἡ καρδία αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- In ipso autem momento mortis ejus, dixerunt ei quæ stabant circa eam : Ne timeas, quia filium peperisti. Quæ non respondit eis, neque animadvertit. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃4   וכעת מותה ותדברנה הנצבות עליה אל תיראי כי בן ילדת ולא ענתה ולא שתה לבה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.
- Elle appela l'enfant I Kabod, en disant: La gloire est bannie d'Israël! C'était à cause de la prise de l'arche de Dieu, et à cause de son beau-père et de son mari. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ παιδάριον Οὐαὶ βαρχαβωθ ὑπὲρ τη̃ς κιβωτου̃ του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ὑπὲρ του̃ πενθερου̃ αὐτη̃ς καὶ ὑπὲρ του̃ ἀνδρὸς αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Et vocabit puerum Ichabod, dicens : Translata est gloria de Israël, quia capta est arca Dei, et pro socero suo et pro viro suo ; (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃4   ותקרא לנער אי כבוד לאמר גלה כבוד מישראל אל הלקח ארון האלהים ואל חמיה ואישה ‬ (Ⅴ)
4. 22  
And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.
- Elle dit: La gloire est bannie d'Israël, car l'arche de Dieu est prise! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃παν ἀπώ̨κισται δόξα Ισραηλ ἐν τω̨̃ λημφθη̃ναι τὴν κιβωτὸν κυρίου (Ⅲ)
- et ait : Translata est gloria ab Israël, eo quod capta esset arca Dei. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃4   ותאמר גלה כבוד מישראל כי נלקח ארון האלהים פ‬ (Ⅴ)
