Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel.
- Les Philistins rassemblèrent toutes leurs troupes à Aphek, et Israël campa près de la source de Jizreel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ συναθροίζουσιν ἀλλόφυλοι πάσας τὰς παρεμβολὰς αὐτω̃ν εἰς Αφεκ καὶ Ισραηλ παρενέβαλεν ἐν Αενδωρ τη̨̃ ἐν Ιεζραελ (Ⅲ) - Congregata sunt ergo Philisthiim universa agmina in Aphec : sed et Israël castrametatus est super fontem qui erat in Jezrahel. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃29 ויקבצו פלשתים את כל מחניהם אפקה וישראל חנים בעין אשר ביזרעאל (Ⅴ)

And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rearward with Achish.
- Les princes des Philistins s'avancèrent avec leurs centaines et leurs milliers, et David et ses gens marchaient à l'arrière-garde avec Akisch. (Ⅱ) - καὶ σατράπαι ἀλλοφύλων παρεπορεύοντο εἰς ἑκατοντάδας καὶ χιλιάδας καὶ Δαυιδ καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες αὐτου̃ παρεπορεύοντο ἐπ' ἐσχάτων μετὰ Αγχους (Ⅲ) - Et satrapæ quidem Philisthiim incedebant in centuriis et millibus : David autem et viri ejus erant in novissimo agmine cum Achis. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃29 וסרני פלשתים עברים למאות ולאלפים ודוד ואנשיו עברים באחרנה עם אכיש (Ⅴ)

Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?
- Les princes des Philistins dirent: Que font ici ces Hébreux? Et Akisch répondit aux princes des Philistins: N'est-ce pas David, serviteur de Saül, roi d'Israël? il y a longtemps qu'il est avec moi, et je n'ai pas trouvé la moindre chose à lui reprocher depuis son arrivée jusqu'à ce jour. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πον οἱ σατράπαι τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων τίνες οἱ διαπορευόμενοι οὑ̃τοι καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αγχους πρὸς τοὺς στρατηγοὺς τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων οὐχ οὑ̃τος Δαυιδ ὁ δου̃λος Σαουλ βασιλέως Ισραηλ γέγονεν μεθ' ἡμω̃ν ἡμέρας του̃το δεύτερον ἔτος καὶ οὐχ εὕρηκα ἐν αὐτω̨̃ οὐθὲν ἀφ' ἡ̃ς ἡμέρας ἐνέπεσεν πρός με καὶ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης (Ⅲ) - Dixeruntque principes Philisthiim ad Achis : Quid sibi volunt Hebræi isti ? Et ait Achis ad principes Philisthiim : Num ignoratis David, qui fuit servus Saul regis Israël, et est apud me multis diebus, vel annis, et non inveni in eo quidquam ex die qua transfugit ad me usque ad diem hanc ? (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃29 ויאמרו שרי פלשתים מה העברים האלה ויאמר אכיש אל שרי פלשתים הלוא זה דוד עבד שאול מלך ישראל אשר היה אתי זה ימים או זה שנים ולא מצאתי בו מאומה מיום נפלו עד היום הזה פ (Ⅴ)

And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
- Mais les princes des Philistins s'irritèrent contre Akisch, et lui dirent: Renvoie cet homme, et qu'il retourne dans le lieu où tu l'as établi; qu'il ne descende pas avec nous sur le champ de bataille, afin qu'il ne soit pas pour nous un ennemi pendant le combat. Et comment cet homme rentrerait-il en grâce auprès de son maître, si ce n'est au moyen des têtes de nos gens? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλυπήθησαν ἐπ' αὐτω̨̃ οἱ στρατηγοὶ τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτω̨̃ ἀπόστρεψον τὸν ἄνδρα εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτου̃ οὑ̃ κατέστησας αὐτὸν ἐκει̃ καὶ μὴ ἐρχέσθω μεθ' ἡμω̃ν εἰς τὸν πόλεμον καὶ μὴ γινέσθω ἐπίβουλος τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς καὶ ἐν τίνι διαλλαγήσεται οὑ̃τος τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ αὐτου̃ οὐχὶ ἐν ται̃ς κεφαλαι̃ς τω̃ν ἀνδρω̃ν ἐκείνων (Ⅲ) - Irati sunt autem adversus eum principes Philisthiim, et dixerunt ei : Revertatur vir iste, et sedeat in loco suo in quo constituisti eum, et non descendat nobiscum in prælium, ne fiat nobis adversarius, cum præliari cœperimus : quomodo enim aliter poterit placare dominum suum, nisi in capitibus nostris ? (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃29 ויקצפו עליו שרי פלשתים ויאמרו לו שרי פלשתים השב את האיש וישב אל מקומו אשר הפקדתו שם ולא ירד עמנו במלחמה ולא יהיה לנו לשטן במלחמה ובמה יתרצה זה אל אדניו הלוא בראשי האנשים ההם (Ⅴ)

Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
- N'est-ce pas ce David pour qui l'on chantait en dansant: Saül a frappé ses mille, Et David ses dix mille? (Ⅱ) - οὐχ οὑ̃τος Δαυιδ ὡ̨̃ ἐξη̃ρχον ἐν χοροι̃ς λέγοντες ἐπάταξεν Σαουλ ἐν χιλιάσιν αὐτου̃ καὶ Δαυιδ ἐν μυριάσιν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Nonne iste est David, cui cantabant in choris, dicentes : [Percussit Saul in millibus suis,/ et David in decem millibus suis ?] (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃29 הלוא זה דוד אשר יענו לו במחלות לאמר הכה שאול באלפיו ודוד *ברבבתו **ברבבתיו ס (Ⅴ)

Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favor thee not.
- Akisch appela David, et lui dit: L'Éternel est vivant! tu es un homme droit, et j'aime à te voir aller et venir avec moi dans le camp, car je n'ai rien trouvé de mauvais en toi depuis ton arrivée auprès de moi jusqu'à ce jour; mais tu ne plais pas aux princes. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Αγχους τὸν Δαυιδ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ζη̨̃ κύριος ὅτι εὐθὴς σὺ καὶ ἀγαθὸς ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς μου καὶ ἡ ἔξοδός σου καὶ ἡ εἴσοδός σου μετ' ἐμου̃ ἐν τη̨̃ παρεμβολη̨̃ καὶ ὅτι οὐχ εὕρηκα κατὰ σου̃ κακίαν ἀφ' ἡ̃ς ἡμέρας ἥκεις πρός με ἕως τη̃ς σήμερον ἡμέρας καὶ ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς τω̃ν σατραπω̃ν οὐκ ἀγαθὸς σύ (Ⅲ) - Vocavit ergo Achis David, et ait ei : Vivit Dominus, quia rectus es tu, et bonus in conspectu meo : et exitus tuus, et introitus tuus mecum est in castris : et non inveni in te quidquam mali ex die qua venisti ad me usque in diem hanc : sed satrapis non places. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃29 ויקרא אכיש אל דוד ויאמר אליו חי יהוה כי ישר אתה וטוב בעיני צאתך[c] ובאך אתי במחנה כי לא מצאתי בך רעה מיום באך אלי עד היום הזה ובעיני הסרנים לא טוב אתה (Ⅴ)

Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.
- Retourne donc et va-t'en en paix, pour ne rien faire de désagréable aux yeux des princes des Philistins. (Ⅱ) - καὶ νυ̃ν ἀνάστρεφε καὶ πορεύου εἰς εἰρήνην καὶ οὐ μὴ ποιήσεις κακίαν ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς τω̃ν σατραπω̃ν τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων (Ⅲ) - Revertere ergo, et vade in pace, et non offendas oculos satraparum Philisthiim. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃29 ועתה שוב ולך בשלום ולא תעשה רע בעיני סרני פלשתים ס (Ⅴ)

And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
- David dit à Akisch: Mais qu'ai-je fait, et qu'as-tu trouvé en ton serviteur depuis que je suis auprès de toi jusqu'à ce jour, pour que je n'aille pas combattre les ennemis de mon seigneur le roi? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Αγχους τί πεποίηκά σοι καὶ τί εὑ̃ρες ἐν τω̨̃ δούλω̨ σου ἀφ' ἡ̃ς ἡμέρας ἤμην ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἔλθω πολεμη̃σαι τοὺς ἐχθροὺς του̃ κυρίου μου του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ) - Dixitque David ad Achis : Quid enim feci, et quid invenisti in me servo tuo, a die qua fui in conspectu tuo usque in diem hanc, ut non veniam et pugnem contra inimicos domini mei regis ? (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃29 ויאמר דוד אל אכיש כי מה עשיתי ומה מצאת בעבדך מיום אשר הייתי לפניך עד היום הזה כי לא אבוא ונלחמתי באיבי אדני המלך (Ⅴ)

And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
- Akisch répondit à David: Je le sais, car tu es agréable à mes yeux comme un ange de Dieu; mais les princes des Philistins disent: Il ne montera point avec nous pour combattre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αγχους πρὸς Δαυιδ οἰ̃δα ὅτι ἀγαθὸς σὺ ἐν ὀφθαλμοι̃ς μου ἀλλ' οἱ σατράπαι τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων λέγουσιν οὐχ ἥξει μεθ' ἡμω̃ν εἰς πόλεμον (Ⅲ) - Respondens autem Achis, locutus est ad David : Scio quia bonus es tu in oculis meis, sicut angelus Dei : sed principes Philisthinorum dixerunt : Non ascendet nobiscum in prælium. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃29 ויען אכיש ויאמר אל דוד ידעתי כי טוב אתה בעיני כמלאך אלהים אך שרי פלשתים אמרו לא יעלה עמנו במלחמה (Ⅴ)

Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy master's servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.
- Ainsi lève-toi de bon matin, toi et les serviteurs de ton maître qui sont venus avec toi; levez-vous de bon matin, et partez dès que vous verrez la lumière. (Ⅱ) - καὶ νυ̃ν ὄρθρισον τὸ πρωί σὺ καὶ οἱ παι̃δες του̃ κυρίου σου οἱ ἥκοντες μετὰ σου̃ καὶ πορεύεσθε εἰς τὸν τόπον οὑ̃ κατέστησα ὑμα̃ς ἐκει̃ καὶ λόγον λοιμὸν μὴ θη̨̃ς ἐν καρδία̨ σου ὅτι ἀγαθὸς σὺ ἐνώπιόν μου καὶ ὀρθρίσατε ἐν τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ καὶ φωτισάτω ὑμι̃ν καὶ πορεύθητε (Ⅲ) - Igitur consurge mane tu, et servi domini tui qui venerunt tecum : et cum de nocte surrexeritis, et cœperit dilucescere, pergite. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃29 ועתה השכם בבקר ועבדי אדניך אשר באו אתך והשכמתם בבקר ואור לכם ולכו (Ⅴ)

So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
- David et ses gens se levèrent de bonne heure, pour partir dès le matin, et retourner dans le pays des Philistins. Et les Philistins montèrent à Jizreel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὤρθρισεν Δαυιδ αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες αὐτου̃ ἀπελθει̃ν καὶ φυλάσσειν τὴν γη̃ν τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἀνέβησαν πολεμει̃ν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Surrexit itaque de nocte David, ipse et viri ejus, ut proficiscerentur mane, et reverterentur ad terram Philisthiim : Philisthiim autem ascenderunt in Jezrahel. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃29 וישכם דוד הוא ואנשיו ללכת בבקר לשוב אל ארץ פלשתים ופלשתים עלו יזרעאל ס (Ⅴ)
