And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.
- David se leva, et s'en alla, et Jonathan rentra dans la ville. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέστη Δαυιδ καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν καὶ Ιωναθαν εἰση̃λθεν εἰς τὴν πόλιν (Ⅲ) - Et surrexit David, et abiit : sed et Jonathas ingressus est civitatem. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃21 ויקם וילך ויהונתן בא העיר (Ⅴ)

Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
- David se rendit à Nob, vers le sacrificateur Achimélec, qui accourut effrayé au-devant de lui et lui dit: Pourquoi es-tu seul et n'y a-t-il personne avec toi? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔρχεται Δαυιδ εἰς Νομβα πρὸς Αβιμελεχ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ἐξέστη Αβιμελεχ τη̨̃ ἀπαντήσει αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ τί ὅτι σὺ μόνος καὶ οὐθεὶς μετὰ σου̃ (Ⅲ) - Venit autem David in Nobe ad Achimelech sacerdotem : et obstupuit Achimelech, eo quod venisset David. Et dixit ei : Quare tu solus, et nullus est tecum ? (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃21 ויבא דוד נבה אל אחימלך הכהן ויחרד אחימלך לקראת דוד ויאמר לו מדוע אתה לבדך ואיש אין אתך (Ⅴ)

And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place.
- David répondit au sacrificateur Achimélec: Le roi m'a donné un ordre et m'a dit: Que personne ne sache rien de l'affaire pour laquelle je t'envoie et de l'ordre que je t'ai donné. J'ai fixé un rendez-vous à mes gens. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ τω̨̃ ἱερει̃ ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐντέταλταί μοι ῥη̃μα σήμερον καὶ εἰ̃πέν μοι μηδεὶς γνώτω τὸ ῥη̃μα περὶ οὑ̃ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω σε καὶ ὑπὲρ οὑ̃ ἐντέταλμαί σοι καὶ τοι̃ς παιδαρίοις διαμεμαρτύρημαι ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τω̨̃ λεγομένω̨ θεου̃ πίστις Φελλανι Αλεμωνι (Ⅲ) - Et ait David ad Achimelech sacerdotem : Rex præcepit mihi sermonem, et dixit : Nemo sciat rem propter quam missus es a me, et cujusmodi præcepta tibi dederim : nam et pueris condixi in illum et illum locum. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃21 ויאמר דוד לאחימלך הכהן המלך צוני דבר ויאמר אלי איש אל ידע מאומה את הדבר אשר אנכי שלחך ואשר צויתך ואת הנערים יודעתי אל מקום פלני אלמוני (Ⅴ)

Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present.
- Maintenant qu'as-tu sous la main? Donne-moi cinq pains, ou ce qui se trouvera. (Ⅱ) - καὶ νυ̃ν εἰ εἰσὶν ὑπὸ τὴν χει̃ρά σου πέντε ἄρτοι δὸς εἰς χει̃ρά μου τὸ εὑρεθέν (Ⅲ) - Nunc ergo si quid habes ad manum, vel quinque panes, da mihi, aut quidquid inveneris. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃21 ועתה מה יש תחת ידך חמשה לחם תנה בידי או הנמצא (Ⅴ)

And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
- Le sacrificateur répondit à David: Je n'ai pas de pain ordinaire sous la main, mais il y a du pain consacré; si du moins tes gens se sont abstenus de femmes! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ ἱερεὺς τω̨̃ Δαυιδ καὶ εἰ̃πεν οὐκ εἰσὶν ἄρτοι βέβηλοι ὑπὸ τὴν χει̃ρά μου ὅτι ἀλλ' ἢ ἄρτοι ἅγιοι εἰσίν εἰ πεφυλαγμένα τὰ παιδάριά ἐστιν ἀπὸ γυναικός καὶ φάγεται (Ⅲ) - Et respondens sacerdos ad David, ait illi : Non habeo laicos panes ad manum, sed tantum panem sanctum : si mundi sunt pueri, maxime a mulieribus ? (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃21 ויען הכהן את דוד ויאמר אין לחם חל אל תחת ידי כי אם לחם קדש יש אם נשמרו הנערים אך מאשה פ (Ⅴ)

And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
- David répondit au sacrificateur: Nous nous sommes abstenus de femmes depuis trois jours que je suis parti, et tous mes gens sont purs: d'ailleurs, si c'est là un acte profane, il sera certainement aujourd'hui sanctifié par celui qui en sera l'instrument. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Δαυιδ τω̨̃ ἱερει̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἀλλὰ ἀπὸ γυναικὸς ἀπεσχήμεθα ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην ἡμέραν ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξελθει̃ν με εἰς ὁδὸν γέγονε πάντα τὰ παιδάρια ἡγνισμένα καὶ αὐτὴ ἡ ὁδὸς βέβηλος διότι ἁγιασθήσεται σήμερον διὰ τὰ σκεύη μου (Ⅲ) - Et respondit David sacerdoti, et dixit ei : Equidem, si de mulieribus agitur : continuimus nos ab heri et nudiustertius quando egrediebamur, et fuerunt vasa puerorum sancta. Porro via hæc polluta est, sed et ipsa hodie sanctificabitur in vasis. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃21 ויען דוד את הכהן ויאמר לו כי אם אשה עצרה לנו כתמול שלשם בצאתי ויהיו כלי הנערים קדש והוא דרך חל ואף כי היום יקדש בכלי (Ⅴ)

So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the showbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
- Alors le sacrificateur lui donna du pain consacré, car il n'y avait là d'autre pain que du pain de proposition, qu'on avait ôté de devant l'Éternel pour le remplacer par du pain chaud au moment où on l'avait pris. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτω̨̃ Αβιμελεχ ὁ ἱερεὺς τοὺς ἄρτους τη̃ς προθέσεως ὅτι οὐκ ἠ̃ν ἐκει̃ ἄρτος ὅτι ἀλλ' ἢ ἄρτοι του̃ προσώπου οἱ ἀφη̨ρημένοι ἐκ προσώπου κυρίου παρατεθη̃ναι ἄρτον θερμὸν ἡ̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἔλαβεν αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Dedit ergo ei sacerdos sanctificatum panem : neque enim erat ibi panis, nisi tantum panes propositionis, qui sublati fuerant a facie Domini, ut ponerentur panes calidi. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃21 ויתן לו הכהן קדש כי לא היה שם לחם כי אם לחם הפנים המוסרים מלפני יהוה לשום לחם חם ביום הלקחו (Ⅴ)

Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.
- Là, ce même jour, un homme d'entre les serviteurs de Saül se trouvait enfermé devant l'Éternel; c'était un Édomite, nommé Doëg, chef des bergers de Saül. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκει̃ ἠ̃ν ἓν τω̃ν παιδαρίων του̃ Σαουλ ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ συνεχόμενος νεεσσαραν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ὄνομα αὐτω̨̃ Δωηκ ὁ Σύρος νέμων τὰς ἡμιόνους Σαουλ (Ⅲ) - Erat autem ibi vir quidam de servis Saul in die illa, intus in tabernaculo Domini : et nomen ejus Doëg Idumæus, potentissimus pastorum Saul. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃21 ושם איש מעבדי שאול ביום ההוא נעצר לפני יהוה ושמו דאג האדמי אביר הרעים אשר לשאול (Ⅴ)

And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste.
- David dit à Achimélec: N'as-tu pas sous la main une lance ou une épée? car je n'ai pris avec moi ni mon épée ni mes armes, parce que l'ordre du roi était pressant. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Αβιμελεχ ἰδὲ εἰ ἔστιν ἐνταυ̃θα ὑπὸ τὴν χει̃ρά σου δόρυ ἢ ῥομφαία ὅτι τὴν ῥομφαίαν μου καὶ τὰ σκεύη οὐκ εἴληφα ἐν τη̨̃ χειρί μου ὅτι ἠ̃ν τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃ βασιλέως κατὰ σπουδήν (Ⅲ) - Dixit autem David ad Achimelech : Si habes hic ad manum hastam aut gladium ? quia gladium meum et arma mea non tuli mecum : sermo enim regis urgebat. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃21 ויאמר דוד לאחימלך ואין יש פה תחת ידך חנית או חרב כי גם חרבי וגם כלי לא לקחתי בידי כי היה דבר המלך נחוץ ס (Ⅴ)

And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.
- Le sacrificateur répondit: Voici l'épée de Goliath, le Philistin, que tu as tué dans la vallée des térébinthes; elle est enveloppée dans un drap, derrière l'éphod; si tu veux la prendre, prends-la, car il n'y en a pas d'autre ici. Et David dit: Il n'y en a point de pareille; donne-la-moi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ ἱερεύς ἰδοὺ ἡ ῥομφαία Γολιαθ του̃ ἀλλοφύλου ὃν ἐπάταξας ἐν τη̨̃ κοιλάδι Ηλα καὶ αὐτὴ ἐνειλημένη ἐν ἱματίω̨ εἰ ταύτην λήμψη̨ σεαυτω̨̃ λαβέ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἑτέρα πάρεξ ταύτης ἐνταυ̃θα καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἔστιν ὥσπερ αὐτή δός μοι αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Et dixit sacerdos : Ecce hic gladius Goliath Philisthæi, quem percussisti in Valle terebinthi : est involutus pallio post ephod : si istum vis tollere, tolle : neque enim hic est alius absque eo. Et ait David : Non est huic alter similis : da mihi eum.\ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃21 ויאמר הכהן חרב גלית הפלשתי אשר הכית בעמק האלה הנה היא לוטה בשמלה אחרי האפוד אם אתה תקח לך קח כי אין אחרת זולתה בזה ויאמר דוד אין כמוה תננה לי (Ⅴ)

And David arose and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.
- David se leva et s'enfuit le même jour loin de Saül. Il arriva chez Akisch, roi de Gath. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν αὐτω̨̃ καὶ ἀνέστη Δαυιδ καὶ ἔφυγεν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἐκ προσώπου Σαουλ καὶ ἠ̃λθεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Αγχους βασιλέα Γεθ (Ⅲ) - Surrexit itaque David, et fugit in die illa a facie Saul : et venit ad Achis regem Geth. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃21 ויקם דוד ויברח ביום ההוא מפני שאול ויבא אל אכיש מלך גת (Ⅴ)

And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
- Les serviteurs d'Akisch lui dirent: N'est-ce pas là David, roi du pays? n'est-ce pas celui pour qui l'on chantait en dansant: Saül a frappé ses mille, -Et David ses dix mille? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃παν οἱ παι̃δες Αγχους πρὸς αὐτόν οὐχὶ οὑ̃τος Δαυιδ ὁ βασιλεὺς τη̃ς γη̃ς οὐχὶ τούτω̨ ἐξη̃ρχον αἱ χορεύουσαι λέγουσαι ἐπάταξεν Σαουλ ἐν χιλιάσιν αὐτου̃ καὶ Δαυιδ ἐν μυριάσιν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Dixeruntque servi Achis ad eum cum vidissent David : Numquid non iste est David rex terræ ? nonne huic cantabant per choros, dicentes : [Percussit Saul mille,/ et David decem millia ?] (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃21 ויאמרו עבדי אכיש אליו הלוא זה דוד מלך הארץ הלוא לזה יענו במחלות לאמר הכה שאול *באלפו **באלפיו ודוד *ברבבתו **ברבבתיו (Ⅴ)

And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath.
- David prit à coeur ces paroles, et il eut une grande crainte d'Akisch, roi de Gath. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔθετο Δαυιδ τὰ ῥήματα ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐφοβήθη σφόδρα ἀπὸ προσώπου Αγχους βασιλέως Γεθ (Ⅲ) - Posuit autem David sermones istos in corde suo, et extimuit valde a facie Achis regis Geth. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃21 וישם דוד את הדברים האלה בלבבו וירא מאד מפני אכיש מלך גת (Ⅴ)

And he changed his behavior before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.
- Il se montra comme fou à leurs yeux, et fit devant eux des extravagances; il faisait des marques sur les battants des portes, et il laissait couler sa salive sur sa barbe. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠλλοίωσεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ ἐνώπιον αὐτου̃ καὶ προσεποιήσατο ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ καὶ ἐτυμπάνιζεν ἐπὶ ται̃ς θύραις τη̃ς πόλεως καὶ παρεφέρετο ἐν ται̃ς χερσὶν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔπιπτεν ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τη̃ς πύλης καὶ τὰ σίελα αὐτου̃ κατέρρει ἐπὶ τὸν πώγωνα αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et immutavit os suum coram eis, et collabebatur inter manus eorum : et impingebat in ostia portæ, defluebantque salivæ ejus in barbam. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃21 וישנו את טעמו בעיניהם ויתהלל בידם *ויתו **ויתיו על דלתות השער ויורד רירו אל זקנו (Ⅴ)

Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?
- Akisch dit à ses serviteurs: Vous voyez bien que cet homme a perdu la raison; pourquoi me l'amenez-vous? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Αγχους πρὸς τοὺς παι̃δας αὐτου̃ ἰδοὺ ἴδετε ἄνδρα ἐπίλημπτον ἵνα τί εἰσηγάγετε αὐτὸν πρός με (Ⅲ) - Et ait Achis ad servos suos : Vidistis hominem insanum : quare adduxistis eum ad me ? (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃21 ויאמר אכיש אל עבדיו הנה תראו איש משתגע למה תביאו אתו אלי (Ⅴ)

Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?
- Est-ce que je manque de fous, pour que vous m'ameniez celui-ci et me rendiez témoin de ses extravagances? Faut-il qu'il entre dans ma maison? (Ⅱ) - ἠ̃ ἐλαττου̃μαι ἐπιλήμπτων ἐγώ ὅτι εἰσαγειόχατε αὐτὸν ἐπιλημπτεύεσθαι πρός με οὑ̃τος οὐκ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς οἰκίαν (Ⅲ) - an desunt nobis furiosi, quod introduxistis istum, ut fureret me præsente ? hiccine ingredietur domum meam ? (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃21 חסר משגעים אני כי הבאתם את זה להשתגע עלי הזה יבוא אל ביתי ס (Ⅴ)
