Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
- Lève-toi, sois éclairée, car ta lumière arrive, Et la gloire de l'Éternel se lève sur toi. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
- Voici, les ténèbres couvrent la terre, Et l'obscurité les peuples; Mais sur toi l'Éternel se lève, Sur toi sa gloire apparaît. (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ σκότος καὶ γνόφος καλύψει γη̃ν ἐπ' ἔθνη ἐπὶ δὲ σὲ φανήσεται κύριος καὶ ἡ δόξα αὐτου̃ ἐπὶ σὲ ὀφθήσεται (Ⅲ) - Quia ecce tenebræ operient terram,/ et caligo populos ;/ super te autem orietur Dominus,/ et gloria ejus in te videbitur./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃60 כי הנה החשך יכסה ארץ וערפל לאמים ועליך יזרח יהוה וכבודו עליך יראה (Ⅴ)

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
- Des nations marchent à ta lumière, Et des rois à la clarté de tes rayons. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πορεύσονται βασιλει̃ς τω̨̃ φωτί σου καὶ ἔθνη τη̨̃ λαμπρότητί σου (Ⅲ) - Et ambulabunt gentes in lumine tuo,/ et reges in splendore ortus tui./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃60 והלכו גוים לאורך ומלכים לנגה זרחך (Ⅴ)

Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
- Porte tes yeux alentour, et regarde: Tous ils s'assemblent, ils viennent vers toi; Tes fils arrivent de loin, Et tes filles sont portées sur les bras. (Ⅱ) - ἀ̃ρον κύκλω̨ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἰδὲ συνηγμένα τὰ τέκνα σου ἰδοὺ ἥκασιν πάντες οἱ υἱοί σου μακρόθεν καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου ἐπ' ὤμων ἀρθήσονται (Ⅲ) - Leva in circuitu oculos tuos, et vide :/ omnes isti congregati sunt, venerunt tibi ;/ filii tui de longe venient/ et filiæ tuæ de latere surgent./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃60 שאי סביב עיניך וראי כלם נקבצו באו לך בניך מרחוק יבאו ובנתיך על צד תאמנה (Ⅴ)

Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
- Tu tressailliras alors et tu te réjouiras, Et ton coeur bondira et se dilatera, Quand les richesses de la mer se tourneront vers toi, Quand les trésors des nations viendront à toi. (Ⅱ) - τότε ὄψη̨ καὶ φοβηθήση̨ καὶ ἐκστήση̨ τη̨̃ καρδία̨ ὅτι μεταβαλει̃ εἰς σὲ πλου̃τος θαλάσσης καὶ ἐθνω̃ν καὶ λαω̃ν καὶ ἥξουσίν σοι (Ⅲ) - Tunc videbis, et afflues ;/ mirabitur et dilatabitur cor tuum :/ quando conversa fuerit ad te multitudo maris ;/ fortitudo gentium venerit tibi./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃60 אז תראי ונהרת ופחד ורחב לבבך כי יהפך עליך המון ים חיל גוים יבאו לך (Ⅴ)

The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
- Tu seras couverte d'une foule de chameaux, De dromadaires de Madian et d'Épha; Ils viendront tous de Séba; Ils porteront de l'or et de l'encens, Et publieront les louanges de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἀγέλαι καμήλων καὶ καλύψουσίν σε κάμηλοι Μαδιαμ καὶ Γαιφα πάντες ἐκ Σαβα ἥξουσιν φέροντες χρυσίον καὶ λίβανον οἴσουσιν καὶ τὸ σωτήριον κυρίου εὐαγγελιου̃νται (Ⅲ) - Inundatio camelorum operiet te,/ dromedarii Madian et Epha ;/ omnes de Saba venient,/ aurum et thus deferentes,/ et laudem Domino annuntiantes./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃60 שפעת גמלים תכסך בכרי מדין ועיפה כלם משבא יבאו זהב ולבונה ישאו ותהלת יהוה יבשרו (Ⅴ)

All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
- Les troupeaux de Kédar se réuniront tous chez toi; Les béliers de Nebajoth seront à ton service; Ils monteront sur mon autel et me seront agréables, Et je glorifierai la maison de ma gloire. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πάντα τὰ πρόβατα Κηδαρ συναχθήσονταί σοι καὶ κριοὶ Ναβαιωθ ἥξουσίν σοι καὶ ἀνενεχθήσεται δεκτὰ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν μου καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κος τη̃ς προσευχη̃ς μου δοξασθήσεται (Ⅲ) - Omne pecus Cedar congregabitur tibi ;/ arietes Nabaioth ministrabunt tibi :/ offerentur super placabili altari meo,/ et domum majestatis meæ glorificabo./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃60 כל צאן קדר יקבצו לך אילי נביות ישרתונך יעלו על רצון מזבחי ובית תפארתי אפאר (Ⅴ)

Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
- Qui sont ceux-là qui volent comme des nuées, Comme des colombes vers leur colombier? (Ⅱ) - τίνες οἵδε ὡς νεφέλαι πέτανται καὶ ὡς περιστεραὶ σὺν νεοσσοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - Qui sunt isti qui ut nubes volant,/ et quasi columbæ ad fenestras suas ?/ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃60 מי אלה כעב תעופינה וכיונים אל ארבתיהם (Ⅴ)

Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
- Car les îles espèrent en moi, Et les navires de Tarsis sont en tête, Pour ramener de loin tes enfants, Avec leur argent et leur or, A cause du nom de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, Du Saint d'Israël qui te glorifie. (Ⅱ) - ἐμὲ νη̃σοι ὑπέμειναν καὶ πλοι̃α Θαρσις ἐν πρώτοις ἀγαγει̃ν τὰ τέκνα σου μακρόθεν καὶ τὸν ἄργυρον καὶ τὸν χρυσὸν μετ' αὐτω̃ν διὰ τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου τὸ ἅγιον καὶ διὰ τὸ τὸν ἅγιον του̃ Ισραηλ ἔνδοξον εἰ̃ναι (Ⅲ) - Me enim insulæ exspectant,/ et naves maris in principio,/ ut adducam filios tuos de longe ;/ argentum eorum, et aurum eorum cum eis,/ nomini Domini Dei tui,/ et Sancto Israël, quia glorificavit te./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃60 כי לי איים יקוו ואניות תרשיש בראשנה להביא בניך מרחוק כספם וזהבם אתם לשם יהוה אלהיך ולקדוש ישראל כי פארך (Ⅴ)

And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
- Les fils de l'étranger rebâtiront tes murs, Et leurs rois seront tes serviteurs; Car je t'ai frappée dans ma colère, Mais dans ma miséricorde j'ai pitié de toi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἰκοδομήσουσιν ἀλλογενει̃ς τὰ τείχη σου καὶ οἱ βασιλει̃ς αὐτω̃ν παραστήσονταί σοι διὰ γὰρ ὀργήν μου ἐπάταξά σε καὶ διὰ ἔλεον ἠγάπησά σε (Ⅲ) - Et ædificabunt filii peregrinorum muros tuos,/ et reges eorum ministrabunt tibi ;/ in indignatione enim mea percussi te,/ et in reconciliatione mea misertus sum tui./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃60 ובנו בני נכר חמתיך ומלכיהם ישרתונך כי בקצפי הכיתיך וברצוני רחמתיך (Ⅴ)

Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
- Tes portes seront toujours ouvertes, Elles ne seront fermées ni jour ni nuit, Afin de laisser entrer chez toi les trésors des nations, Et leurs rois avec leur suite. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνοιχθήσονται αἱ πύλαι σου διὰ παντός ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς οὐ κλεισθήσονται εἰσαγαγει̃ν πρὸς σὲ δύναμιν ἐθνω̃ν καὶ βασιλει̃ς ἀγομένους (Ⅲ) - Et aperientur portæ tuæ jugiter ;/ die ac nocte non claudentur,/ ut afferatur ad te fortitudo gentium,/ et reges earum adducantur./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃60 ופתחו שעריך תמיד יומם ולילה לא יסגרו להביא אליך חיל גוים ומלכיהם נהוגים (Ⅴ)

For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
- Car la nation et le royaume qui ne te serviront pas périront, Ces nations-là seront exterminées. (Ⅱ) - τὰ γὰρ ἔθνη καὶ οἱ βασιλει̃ς οἵτινες οὐ δουλεύσουσίν σοι ἀπολου̃νται καὶ τὰ ἔθνη ἐρημία̨ ἐρημωθήσονται (Ⅲ) - Gens enim et regnum quod non servierit tibi peribit,/ et gentes solitudine vastabuntur./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃60 כי הגוי והממלכה אשר לא יעבדוך יאבדו והגוים חרב יחרבו (Ⅴ)

The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
- La gloire du Liban viendra chez toi, Le cyprès, l'orme et le buis, tous ensemble, Pour orner le lieu de mon sanctuaire, Et je glorifierai la place où reposent mes pieds. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἡ δόξα του̃ Λιβάνου πρὸς σὲ ἥξει ἐν κυπαρίσσω̨ καὶ πεύκη̨ καὶ κέδρω̨ ἅμα δοξάσαι τὸν τόπον τὸν ἅγιόν μου (Ⅲ) - Gloria Libani ad te veniet,/ abies, et buxus, et pinus simul/ ad ornandum locum sanctificationis meæ ;/ et locum pedum meorum glorificabo./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃60 כבוד הלבנון אליך יבוא ברוש תדהר ותאשור יחדו לפאר מקום מקדשי ומקום רגלי אכבד (Ⅴ)

The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
- Les fils de tes oppresseurs viendront s'humilier devant toi, Et tous ceux qui te méprisaient se prosterneront à tes pieds; Ils t'appelleront ville de l'Éternel, Sion du Saint d'Israël. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πορεύσονται πρὸς σὲ δεδοικότες υἱοὶ ταπεινωσάντων σε καὶ παροξυνάντων σε καὶ κληθήση̨ πόλις κυρίου Σιων ἁγίου Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Et venient ad te curvi filii eorum qui humiliaverunt te,/ et adorabunt vestigia pedum tuorum omnes qui detrahebant tibi :/ et vocabunt te civitatem Domini,/ Sion Sancti Israël./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃60 והלכו אליך שחוח בני מעניך והשתחוו על כפות רגליך כל מנאציך וקראו לך עיר יהוה ציון קדוש ישראל (Ⅴ)

Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
- Au lieu que tu étais délaissée et haïe, Et que personne ne te parcourait, Je ferai de toi un ornement pour toujours, Un sujet de joie de génération en génération. (Ⅱ) - διὰ τὸ γεγενη̃σθαί σε ἐγκαταλελειμμένην καὶ μεμισημένην καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν ὁ βοηθω̃ν καὶ θήσω σε ἀγαλλίαμα αἰώνιον εὐφροσύνην γενεω̃ν γενεαι̃ς (Ⅲ) - Pro eo quod fuisti derelicta/ et odio habita,/ et non erat qui per te transiret :/ ponam te in superbiam sæculorum,/ gaudium in generationem et generationem :/ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃60 תחת היותך עזובה ושנואה ואין עובר ושמתיך לגאון עולם משוש דור ודור (Ⅴ)

Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
- Tu suceras le lait des nations, Tu suceras la mamelle des rois; Et tu sauras que je suis l'Éternel, ton sauveur, Ton rédempteur, le puissant de Jacob. (Ⅱ) - καὶ θηλάσεις γάλα ἐθνω̃ν καὶ πλου̃τον βασιλέων φάγεσαι καὶ γνώση̨ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ σώ̨ζων σε καὶ ἐξαιρούμενός σε θεὸς Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - et suges lac gentium,/ et mamilla regum lactaberis ;/ et scies quia ego Dominus salvans te,/ et redemptor tuus, Fortis Jacob./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃60 וינקת חלב גוים ושד מלכים תינקי וידעת כי אני יהוה מושיעך וגאלך אביר יעקב (Ⅴ)

For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
- Au lieu de l'airain je ferai venir de l'or, Au lieu du fer je ferai venir de l'argent, Au lieu du bois, de l'airain, Et au lieu des pierres, du fer; Je ferai régner sur toi la paix, Et dominer la justice. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀντὶ χαλκου̃ οἴσω σοι χρυσίον ἀντὶ δὲ σιδήρου οἴσω σοι ἀργύριον ἀντὶ δὲ ξύλων οἴσω σοι χαλκόν ἀντὶ δὲ λίθων σίδηρον καὶ δώσω τοὺς ἄρχοντάς σου ἐν εἰρήνη̨ καὶ τοὺς ἐπισκόπους σου ἐν δικαιοσύνη̨ (Ⅲ) - Pro ære afferam aurum,/ et pro ferro afferam argentum,/ et pro lignis æs,/ et pro lapidibus ferrum :/ et ponam visitationem tuam pacem,/ et præpositos tuos justitiam./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃60 תחת הנחשת אביא זהב ותחת הברזל אביא כסף ותחת העצים נחשת ותחת האבנים ברזל ושמתי פקדתך שלום ונגשיך צדקה (Ⅴ)

Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
- On n'entendra plus parler de violence dans ton pays, Ni de ravage et de ruine dans ton territoire; Tu donneras à tes murs le nom de salut, Et à tes portes celui de gloire. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐκ ἀκουσθήσεται ἔτι ἀδικία ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ σου οὐδὲ σύντριμμα οὐδὲ ταλαιπωρία ἐν τοι̃ς ὁρίοις σου ἀλλὰ κληθήσεται σωτήριον τὰ τείχη σου καὶ αἱ πύλαι σου γλύμμα (Ⅲ) - Non audietur ultra iniquitas in terra tua ;/ vastitas et contritio in terminis tuis :/ et occupabit salus muros tuos,/ et portas tuas laudatio./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃60 לא ישמע עוד חמס בארצך שד ושבר בגבוליך וקראת ישועה חומתיך ושעריך תהלה (Ⅴ)

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
- Ce ne sera plus le soleil qui te servira de lumière pendant le jour, Ni la lune qui t'éclairera de sa lueur; Mais l'Éternel sera ta lumière à toujours, Ton Dieu sera ta gloire. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σοι ὁ ἥλιος εἰς φω̃ς ἡμέρας οὐδὲ ἀνατολὴ σελήνης φωτιει̃ σοι τὴν νύκτα ἀλλ' ἔσται σοι κύριος φω̃ς αἰώνιον καὶ ὁ θεὸς δόξα σου (Ⅲ) - Non erit tibi amplius sol ad lucendum per diem,/ nec splendor lunæ illuminabit te :/ sed erit tibi Dominus in lucem sempiternam,/ et Deus tuus in gloriam tuam./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃60 לא יהיה לך עוד השמש לאור יומם ולנגה הירח לא יאיר לך והיה לך יהוה לאור עולם ואלהיך לתפארתך (Ⅴ)

Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
- Ton soleil ne se couchera plus, Et ta lune ne s'obscurcira plus; Car l'Éternel sera ta lumière à toujours, Et les jours de ton deuil seront passés. (Ⅱ) - οὐ γὰρ δύσεται ὁ ἥλιός σοι καὶ ἡ σελήνη σοι οὐκ ἐκλείψει ἔσται γὰρ κύριός σοι φω̃ς αἰώνιον καὶ ἀναπληρωθήσονται αἱ ἡμέραι του̃ πένθους σου (Ⅲ) - Non occidet ultra sol tuus,/ et luna tua non minuetur,/ quia erit tibi Dominus in lucem sempiternam,/ et complebuntur dies luctus tui./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃60 לא יבוא עוד שמשך וירחך לא יאסף כי יהוה יהיה לך לאור עולם ושלמו ימי אבלך (Ⅴ)

Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
- Il n'y aura plus que des justes parmi ton peuple, Ils posséderont à toujours le pays; C'est le rejeton que j'ai planté, l'oeuvre de mes mains, Pour servir à ma gloire. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὁ λαός σου πα̃ς δίκαιος καὶ δι' αἰω̃νος κληρονομήσουσιν τὴν γη̃ν φυλάσσων τὸ φύτευμα ἔργα χειρω̃ν αὐτου̃ εἰς δόξαν (Ⅲ) - Populus autem tuus omnes justi ;/ in perpetuum hæreditabunt terram :/ germen plantationis meæ,/ opus manus meæ ad glorificandum./ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃60 ועמך כלם צדיקים לעולם יירשו ארץ נצר *מטעו **מטעי מעשה ידי להתפאר (Ⅴ)

A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
- Le plus petit deviendra un millier, Et le moindre une nation puissante. Moi, l'Éternel, je hâterai ces choses en leur temps. (Ⅱ) - ὁ ὀλιγοστὸς ἔσται εἰς χιλιάδας καὶ ὁ ἐλάχιστος εἰς ἔθνος μέγα ἐγὼ κύριος κατὰ καιρὸν συνάξω αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Minimus erit in mille,/ et parvulus in gentem fortissimam./ Ego Dominus in tempore ejus/ subito faciam istud.] (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃60 הקטן יהיה לאלף והצעיר לגוי עצום אני יהוה בעתה אחישנה ס (Ⅴ)
