The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
- L'esprit du Seigneur, l'Éternel, est sur moi, Car l'Éternel m'a oint pour porter de bonnes nouvelles aux malheureux; Il m'a envoyé pour guérir ceux qui ont le coeur brisé, Pour proclamer aux captifs la liberté, Et aux prisonniers la délivrance; (Ⅱ) - πνευ̃μα κυρίου ἐπ' ἐμέ οὑ̃ εἵνεκεν ἔχρισέν με εὐαγγελίσασθαι πτωχοι̃ς ἀπέσταλκέν με ἰάσασθαι τοὺς συντετριμμένους τη̨̃ καρδία̨ κηρύξαι αἰχμαλώτοις ἄφεσιν καὶ τυφλοι̃ς ἀνάβλεψιν (Ⅲ) - Spiritus Domini super me,/ eo quod unxerit Dominus me ;/ ad annuntiandum mansuetis misit me,/ ut mederer contritis corde,/ et prædicarem captivis indulgentiam,/ et clausis apertionem ;/ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃61 רוח אדני יהוה עלי יען משח יהוה אתי לבשר ענוים שלחני לחבש לנשברי לב לקרא לשבוים דרור ולאסורים פקח קוח (Ⅴ)

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
- Pour publier une année de grâce de l'Éternel, Et un jour de vengeance de notre Dieu; Pour consoler tous les affligés; (Ⅱ) - καλέσαι ἐνιαυτὸν κυρίου δεκτὸν καὶ ἡμέραν ἀνταποδόσεως παρακαλέσαι πάντας τοὺς πενθου̃ντας (Ⅲ) - ut prædicarem annum placabilem Domino,/ et diem ultionis Deo nostro ;/ ut consolarer omnes lugentes,/ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃61 לקרא שנת רצון ליהוה ויום נקם לאלהינו לנחם כל אבלים (Ⅴ)

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
- Pour accorder aux affligés de Sion, Pour leur donner un diadème au lieu de la cendre, Une huile de joie au lieu du deuil, Un vêtement de louange au lieu d'un esprit abattu, Afin qu'on les appelle des térébinthes de la justice, Une plantation de l'Éternel, pour servir à sa gloire. (Ⅱ) - δοθη̃ναι τοι̃ς πενθου̃σιν Σιων δόξαν ἀντὶ σποδου̃ ἄλειμμα εὐφροσύνης τοι̃ς πενθου̃σιν καταστολὴν δόξης ἀντὶ πνεύματος ἀκηδίας καὶ κληθήσονται γενεαὶ δικαιοσύνης φύτευμα κυρίου εἰς δόξαν (Ⅲ) - ut ponerem lugentibus Sion,/ et darem eis coronam pro cinere,/ oleum gaudii pro luctu,/ pallium laudis pro spiritu mœroris ;/ et vocabuntur in ea fortes justitiæ,/ plantatio Domini ad glorificandum./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃61 לשום לאבלי ציון לתת להם פאר תחת אפר שמן ששון תחת אבל מעטה תהלה תחת רוח כהה וקרא להם אילי הצדק מטע יהוה להתפאר (Ⅴ)

And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
- Ils rebâtiront sur d'anciennes ruines, Ils relèveront d'antiques décombres, Ils renouvelleront des villes ravagées, Dévastées depuis longtemps. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἰκοδομήσουσιν ἐρήμους αἰωνίας ἐξηρημωμένας πρότερον ἐξαναστήσουσιν καὶ καινιου̃σιν πόλεις ἐρήμους ἐξηρημωμένας εἰς γενεάς (Ⅲ) - Et ædificabunt deserta a sæculo,/ et ruinas antiquas erigent,/ et instaurabunt civitates desertas,/ dissipatas in generationem et generationem./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃61 ובנו חרבות עולם שממות ראשנים יקוממו וחדשו ערי חרב שממות דור ודור (Ⅴ)

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
- Des étrangers seront là et feront paître vos troupeaux, Des fils de l'étranger seront vos laboureurs et vos vignerons. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἥξουσιν ἀλλογενει̃ς ποιμαίνοντες τὰ πρόβατά σου καὶ ἀλλόφυλοι ἀροτη̃ρες καὶ ἀμπελουργοί (Ⅲ) - Et stabunt alieni, et pascent pecora vestra,/ et filii peregrinorum agricolæ et vinitores vestri erunt./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃61 ועמדו זרים ורעו צאנכם ובני נכר אכריכם וכרמיכם (Ⅴ)

But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
- Mais vous, on vous appellera sacrificateurs de l'Éternel, On vous nommera serviteurs de notre Dieu; Vous mangerez les richesses des nations, Et vous vous glorifierez de leur gloire. (Ⅱ) - ὑμει̃ς δὲ ἱερει̃ς κυρίου κληθήσεσθε λειτουργοὶ θεου̃ ἰσχὺν ἐθνω̃ν κατέδεσθε καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ πλούτω̨ αὐτω̃ν θαυμασθήσεσθε (Ⅲ) - Vos autem sacerdotes Domini vocabimini :/ Ministri Dei nostri, dicetur vobis,/ fortitudinem gentium comedetis,/ et in gloria earum superbietis./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃61 ואתם כהני יהוה תקראו משרתי אלהינו יאמר לכם חיל גוים תאכלו ובכבודם תתימרו (Ⅴ)

For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
- Au lieu de votre opprobre, vous aurez une portion double; Au lieu de l'ignominie, ils seront joyeux de leur part; Ils posséderont ainsi le double dans leur pays, Et leur joie sera éternelle. (Ⅱ) - οὕτως ἐκ δευτέρας κληρονομήσουσιν τὴν γη̃ν καὶ εὐφροσύνη αἰώνιος ὑπὲρ κεφαλη̃ς αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Pro confusione vestra duplici et rubore,/ laudabunt partem suam ;/ propter hoc in terra sua duplicia possidebunt,/ lætitia sempiterna erit eis./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃61 תחת בשתכם משנה וכלמה ירנו חלקם לכן בארצם משנה יירשו שמחת עולם תהיה להם (Ⅴ)

For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
- Car moi, l'Éternel, j'aime la justice, Je hais la rapine avec l'iniquité; Je leur donnerai fidèlement leur récompense, Et je traiterai avec eux une alliance éternelle. (Ⅱ) - ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι κύριος ὁ ἀγαπω̃ν δικαιοσύνην καὶ μισω̃ν ἁρπάγματα ἐξ ἀδικίας καὶ δώσω τὸν μόχθον αὐτω̃ν δικαίοις καὶ διαθήκην αἰώνιον διαθήσομαι αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - Quia ego Dominus diligens judicium,/ et odio habens rapinam in holocausto ;/ et dabo opus eorum in veritate,/ et fœdus perpetuum feriam eis./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃61 כי אני יהוה אהב משפט שנא גזל בעולה ונתתי פעלתם באמת וברית עולם אכרות להם (Ⅴ)

And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
- Leur race sera connue parmi les nations, Et leur postérité parmi les peuples; Tous ceux qui les verront reconnaîtront Qu'ils sont une race bénie de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ γνωσθήσεται ἐν τοι̃ς ἔθνεσιν τὸ σπέρμα αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὰ ἔκγονα αὐτω̃ν πα̃ς ὁ ὁρω̃ν αὐτοὺς ἐπιγνώσεται αὐτούς ὅτι οὑ̃τοί εἰσιν σπέρμα ηὐλογημένον ὑπὸ θεου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et scient in gentibus semen eorum,/ et germen eorum in medio populorum ;/ omnes qui viderint eos cognoscent illos,/ quia isti sunt semen cui benedixit Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃61 ונודע בגוים זרעם וצאצאיהם בתוך העמים כל ראיהם יכירום כי הם זרע ברך יהוה ס (Ⅴ)

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
- Je me réjouirai en l'Éternel, Mon âme sera ravie d'allégresse en mon Dieu; Car il m'a revêtu des vêtements du salut, Il m'a couvert du manteau de la délivrance, Comme le fiancé s'orne d'un diadème, Comme la fiancée se pare de ses joyaux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εὐφροσύνη̨ εὐφρανθήσονται ἐπὶ κύριον ἀγαλλιάσθω ἡ ψυχή μου ἐπὶ τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐνέδυσεν γάρ με ἱμάτιον σωτηρίου καὶ χιτω̃να εὐφροσύνης ὡς νυμφίω̨ περιέθηκέν μοι μίτραν καὶ ὡς νύμφην κατεκόσμησέν με κόσμω̨ (Ⅲ) - Gaudens gaudebo in Domino,/ et exsultabit anima mea in Deo meo,/ quia induit me vestimentis salutis,/ et indumento justitiæ circumdedit me,/ quasi sponsum decoratum corona,/ et quasi sponsam ornatam monilibus suis./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃61 שוש אשיש ביהוה תגל נפשי באלהי כי הלבישני בגדי ישע מעיל צדקה יעטני כחתן יכהן פאר וככלה תעדה כליה (Ⅴ)

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
- Car, comme la terre fait éclore son germe, Et comme un jardin fait pousser ses semences, Ainsi le Seigneur, l'Éternel, fera germer le salut et la louange, En présence de toutes les nations. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὡς γη̃ν αὔξουσαν τὸ ἄνθος αὐτη̃ς καὶ ὡς κη̃πος τὰ σπέρματα αὐτου̃ οὕτως ἀνατελει̃ κύριος δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἀγαλλίαμα ἐναντίον πάντων τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Sicut enim terra profert germen suum,/ et sicut hortus semen suum germinat,/ sic Dominus Deus germinabit justitiam/ et laudem coram universis gentibus.] (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃61 כי כארץ תוציא צמחה וכגנה זרועיה תצמיח כן אדני יהוה יצמיח צדקה ותהלה נגד כל הגוים (Ⅴ)
