And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
- Abram remonta d'Égypte vers le midi, lui, sa femme, et tout ce qui lui appartenait, et Lot avec lui. (Ⅱ) - ἀνέβη δὲ Αβραμ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου αὐτὸς καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτου̃ καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτου̃ καὶ Λωτ μετ' αὐτου̃ εἰς τὴν ἔρημον (Ⅲ) - Ascendit ergo Abram de Ægypto, ipse et uxor ejus, et omnia quæ habebat, et Lot cum eo, ad australem plagam. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃13 ויעל אברם ממצרים הוא ואשתו וכל אשר לו ולוט עמו הנגבה (Ⅴ)

And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
- Abram était très riche en troupeaux, en argent et en or. (Ⅱ) - Αβραμ δὲ ἠ̃ν πλούσιος σφόδρα κτήνεσιν καὶ ἀργυρίω̨ καὶ χρυσίω̨ (Ⅲ) - Erat autem dives valde in possessione auri et argenti. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃13 ואברם כבד מאד במקנה בכסף ובזהב (Ⅴ)

And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;
- Il dirigea ses marches du midi jusqu'à Béthel, jusqu'au lieu où était sa tente au commencement, entre Béthel et Aï, (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπορεύθη ὅθεν ἠ̃λθεν εἰς τὴν ἔρημον ἕως Βαιθηλ ἕως του̃ τόπου οὑ̃ ἠ̃ν ἡ σκηνὴ αὐτου̃ τὸ πρότερον ἀνὰ μέσον Βαιθηλ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Αγγαι (Ⅲ) - Reversusque est per iter, quo venerat, a meridie in Bethel, usque ad locum ubi prius fixerat tabernaculum inter Bethel et Hai, (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃13 וילך למסעיו מנגב ועד בית אל עד המקום אשר היה שם *אהלה **אהלו בתחלה בין בית אל ובין העי (Ⅴ)

Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
- au lieu où était l'autel qu'il avait fait précédemment. Et là, Abram invoqua le nom de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - εἰς τὸν τόπον του̃ θυσιαστηρίου οὑ̃ ἐποίησεν ἐκει̃ τὴν ἀρχήν καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο ἐκει̃ Αβραμ τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου (Ⅲ) - in loco altaris quod fecerat prius : et invocavit ibi nomen Domini. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃13 אל מקום המזבח אשר עשה שם בראשנה ויקרא שם אברם בשם יהוה (Ⅴ)

And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
- Lot, qui voyageait avec Abram, avait aussi des brebis, des boeufs et des tentes. (Ⅱ) - καὶ Λωτ τω̨̃ συμπορευομένω̨ μετὰ Αβραμ ἠ̃ν πρόβατα καὶ βόες καὶ σκηναί (Ⅲ) - Sed et Lot qui erat cum Abram, fuerunt greges ovium, et armenta, et tabernacula. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃13 וגם ללוט ההלך את אברם היה צאן ובקר ואהלים (Ⅴ)

And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
- Et la contrée était insuffisante pour qu'ils demeurassent ensemble, car leurs biens étaient si considérables qu'ils ne pouvaient demeurer ensemble. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐκ ἐχώρει αὐτοὺς ἡ γη̃ κατοικει̃ν ἅμα ὅτι ἠ̃ν τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτω̃ν πολλά καὶ οὐκ ἐδύναντο κατοικει̃ν ἅμα (Ⅲ) - Nec poterat eos capere terra, ut habitarent simul : erat quippe substantia eorum multa, et nequibant habitare communiter. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃13 ולא נשא אתם הארץ לשבת יחדו כי היה רכושם רב ולא יכלו לשבת יחדו (Ⅴ)

And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
- Il y eut querelle entre les bergers des troupeaux d'Abram et les bergers des troupeaux de Lot. Les Cananéens et les Phérésiens habitaient alors dans le pays. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο μάχη ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν ποιμένων τω̃ν κτηνω̃ν του̃ Αβραμ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν ποιμένων τω̃ν κτηνω̃ν του̃ Λωτ οἱ δὲ Χαναναι̃οι καὶ οἱ Φερεζαι̃οι τότε κατώ̨κουν τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ) - Unde et facta est rixa inter pastores gregum Abram et Lot. Eo autem tempore Chananæus et Pherezæus habitabant in terra illa. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃13 ויהי ריב בין רעי מקנה אברם ובין רעי מקנה לוט והכנעני והפרזי אז ישב בארץ (Ⅴ)

And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
- Abram dit à Lot: Qu'il n'y ait point, je te prie, de dispute entre moi et toi, ni entre mes bergers et tes bergers; car nous sommes frères. (Ⅱ) - εἰ̃πεν δὲ Αβραμ τω̨̃ Λωτ μὴ ἔστω μάχη ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμου̃ καὶ σου̃ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν ποιμένων μου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν ποιμένων σου ὅτι ἄνθρωποι ἀδελφοὶ ἡμει̃ς ἐσμεν (Ⅲ) - Dixit ergo Abram ad Lot : Ne quæso sit jurgium inter me et te, et inter pastores meos et pastores tuos : fratres enim sumus. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃13 ויאמר אברם אל לוט אל נא תהי מריבה ביני וביניך ובין רעי ובין רעיך כי אנשים אחים אנחנו (Ⅴ)

Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
- Tout le pays n'est-il pas devant toi? Sépare-toi donc de moi: si tu vas à gauche, j'irai à droite; si tu vas à droite, j'irai à gauche. (Ⅱ) - οὐκ ἰδοὺ πα̃σα ἡ γη̃ ἐναντίον σού ἐστιν διαχωρίσθητι ἀπ' ἐμου̃ εἰ σὺ εἰς ἀριστερά ἐγὼ εἰς δεξιά εἰ δὲ σὺ εἰς δεξιά ἐγὼ εἰς ἀριστερά (Ⅲ) - Ecce universa terra coram te est : recede a me, obsecro : si ad sinistram ieris, ego dexteram tenebo : si tu dexteram elegeris, ego ad sinistram pergam. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃13 הלא כל הארץ לפניך הפרד נא מעלי אם השמאל ואימנה ואם הימין ואשמאילה (Ⅴ)

And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
- Lot leva les yeux, et vit toute la plaine du Jourdain, qui était entièrement arrosée. Avant que l'Éternel eût détruit Sodome et Gomorrhe, c'était, jusqu'à Tsoar, comme un jardin de l'Éternel, comme le pays d'Égypte. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπάρας Λωτ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτου̃ εἰ̃δεν πα̃σαν τὴν περίχωρον του̃ Ιορδάνου ὅτι πα̃σα ἠ̃ν ποτιζομένη πρὸ του̃ καταστρέψαι τὸν θεὸν Σοδομα καὶ Γομορρα ὡς ὁ παράδεισος του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ὡς ἡ γη̃ Αἰγύπτου ἕως ἐλθει̃ν εἰς Ζογορα (Ⅲ) - Elevatis itaque Lot oculis, vidit omnem circa regionem Jordanis, quæ universa irrigabatur antequam subverteret Dominus Sodomam et Gomorrham, sicut paradisus Domini, et sicut Ægyptus venientibus in Segor. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃13 וישא לוט את עיניו וירא את כל ככר הירדן כי כלה משקה לפני שחת יהוה את סדם ואת עמרה כגן יהוה כארץ מצרים באכה צער (Ⅴ)

Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.
- Lot choisit pour lui toute la plaine du Jourdain, et il s'avança vers l'orient. C'est ainsi qu'ils se séparèrent l'un de l'autre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτω̨̃ Λωτ πα̃σαν τὴν περίχωρον του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἀπη̃ρεν Λωτ ἀπὸ ἀνατολω̃ν καὶ διεχωρίσθησαν ἕκαστος ἀπὸ του̃ ἀδελφου̃ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Elegitque sibi Lot regionem circa Jordanem, et recessit ab oriente : divisique sunt alterutrum a fratre suo. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃13 ויבחר לו לוט את כל ככר הירדן ויסע לוט מקדם ויפרדו איש מעל אחיו (Ⅴ)

Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
- Abram habita dans le pays de Canaan; et Lot habita dans les villes de la plaine, et dressa ses tentes jusqu'à Sodome. (Ⅱ) - Αβραμ δὲ κατώ̨κησεν ἐν γη̨̃ Χανααν Λωτ δὲ κατώ̨κησεν ἐν πόλει τω̃ν περιχώρων καὶ ἐσκήνωσεν ἐν Σοδομοις (Ⅲ) - Abram habitavit in terra Chanaan ; Lot vero moratus est in oppidis, quæ erant circa Jordanem, et habitavit in Sodomis. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃13 אברם ישב בארץ כנען ולוט ישב בערי הככר ויאהל עד סדם (Ⅴ)

But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
- Les gens de Sodome étaient méchants, et de grands pécheurs contre l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - οἱ δὲ ἄνθρωποι οἱ ἐν Σοδομοις πονηροὶ καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐναντίον του̃ θεου̃ σφόδρα (Ⅲ) - Homines autem Sodomitæ pessimi erant, et peccatores coram Domino nimis.\ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃13 ואנשי סדם רעים וחטאים ליהוה מאד (Ⅴ)

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
- L'Éternel dit à Abram, après que Lot se fut séparé de lui: Lève les yeux, et, du lieu où tu es, regarde vers le nord et le midi, vers l'orient et l'occident; (Ⅱ) - ὁ δὲ θεὸς εἰ̃πεν τω̨̃ Αβραμ μετὰ τὸ διαχωρισθη̃ναι τὸν Λωτ ἀπ' αὐτου̃ ἀναβλέψας τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου ἰδὲ ἀπὸ του̃ τόπου οὑ̃ νυ̃ν σὺ εἰ̃ πρὸς βορρα̃ν καὶ λίβα καὶ ἀνατολὰς καὶ θάλασσαν (Ⅲ) - Dixitque Dominus ad Abram, postquam divisus est ab eo Lot : Leva oculos tuos et vide a loco, in quo nunc es, ad aquilonem et meridiem, ad orientem et occidentem. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃13 ויהוה אמר אל אברם אחרי הפרד לוט מעמו שא נא עיניך וראה מן המקום אשר אתה שם צפנה ונגבה וקדמה וימה (Ⅴ)

For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
- car tout le pays que tu vois, je le donnerai à toi et à ta postérité pour toujours. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι πα̃σαν τὴν γη̃ν ἣν σὺ ὁρα̨̃ς σοὶ δώσω αὐτὴν καὶ τω̨̃ σπέρματί σου ἕως του̃ αἰω̃νος (Ⅲ) - Omnem terram, quam conspicis, tibi dabo, et semini tuo usque in sempiternum. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃13 כי את כל הארץ אשר אתה ראה לך אתננה ולזרעך עד עולם (Ⅴ)

And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
- Je rendrai ta postérité comme la poussière de la terre, en sorte que, si quelqu'un peut compter la poussière de la terre, ta postérité aussi sera comptée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ποιήσω τὸ σπέρμα σου ὡς τὴν ἄμμον τη̃ς γη̃ς εἰ δύναταί τις ἐξαριθμη̃σαι τὴν ἄμμον τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ τὸ σπέρμα σου ἐξαριθμηθήσεται (Ⅲ) - Faciamque semen tuum sicut pulverem terræ : si quis potest hominum numerare pulverem terræ, semen quoque tuum numerare poterit. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃13 ושמתי את זרעך כעפר הארץ אשר אם יוכל איש למנות את עפר הארץ גם זרעך ימנה (Ⅴ)

Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
- Lève-toi, parcours le pays dans sa longueur et dans sa largeur; car je te le donnerai. (Ⅱ) - ἀναστὰς διόδευσον τὴν γη̃ν εἴς τε τὸ μη̃κος αὐτη̃ς καὶ εἰς τὸ πλάτος ὅτι σοὶ δώσω αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Surge, et perambula terram in longitudine et in latitudine sua : quia tibi daturus sum eam. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃13 קום התהלך בארץ לארכה ולרחבה כי לך אתננה (Ⅴ)

Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.
- Abram leva ses tentes, et vint habiter parmi les chênes de Mamré, qui sont près d'Hébron. Et il bâtit là un autel à l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀποσκηνώσας Αβραμ ἐλθὼν κατώ̨κησεν παρὰ τὴν δρυ̃ν τὴν Μαμβρη ἣ ἠ̃ν ἐν Χεβρων καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησεν ἐκει̃ θυσιαστήριον κυρίω̨ (Ⅲ) - Movens igitur tabernaculum suum Abram, venit, et habitavit juxta convallem Mambre, quæ est in Hebron : ædificavitque ibi altare Domino. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃13 ויאהל אברם ויבא וישב באלני ממרא אשר בחברון ויבן שם מזבח ליהוה פ (Ⅴ)
