5. 1

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

- Voici le livre de la postérité d'Adam. Lorsque Dieu créa l'homme, il le fit à la ressemblance de Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- αὕτη ἡ βίβλος γενέσεως ἀνθρώπων ἡ̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Αδαμ κατ' εἰκόνα θεου̃ ἐποίησεν αὐτόν (Ⅲ)

- Hic est liber generationis Adam. In die qua creavit Deus hominem, ad similitudinem Dei fecit illum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃5 זה ספר תולדת אדם ביום ברא אלהים אדם בדמות אלהים עשה אתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 2

Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

- Il créa l'homme et la femme, il les bénit, et il les appela du nom d'homme, lorsqu'ils furent créés. (Ⅱ)

- ἄρσεν καὶ θη̃λυ ἐποίησεν αὐτοὺς καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτω̃ν Αδαμ ἡ̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐποίησεν αὐτούς (Ⅲ)

- Masculum et feminam creavit eos, et benedixit illis : et vocavit nomen eorum Adam, in die quo creati sunt. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃5 זכר ונקבה בראם ויברך אתם ויקרא את שמם אדם ביום הבראם ס‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 3

And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:

- Adam, âgé de cent trente ans, engendra un fils à sa ressemblance, selon son image, et il lui donna le nom de Seth. (Ⅱ)

- ἔζησεν δὲ Αδαμ διακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν κατὰ τὴν ἰδέαν αὐτου̃ καὶ κατὰ τὴν εἰκόνα αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Σηθ (Ⅲ)

- Vixit autem Adam centum triginta annis : et genuit ad imaginem et similitudinem suam, vocavitque nomen ejus Seth. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃5 ויחי אדם שלשים ומאת שנה ויולד בדמותו כצלמו ויקרא את שמו שת ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 4

And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

- Les jours d'Adam, après la naissance de Seth, furent de huit cents ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- ἐγένοντο δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Σηθ ἑπτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt dies Adam, postquam genuit Seth, octingenti anni : genuitque filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃5 ויהיו ימי אדם אחרי הולידו את שת שמנה מאת שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

- Tous les jours qu'Adam vécut furent de neuf cent trente ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Et factum est omne tempus quod vixit Adam, anni nongenti triginta, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃5 ויהיו כל ימי אדם אשר חי תשע מאות שנה ושלשים שנה וימת ס‬ (Ⅴ)

And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:

- Seth, âgé de cent cinq ans, engendra Énosch. (Ⅱ)

- ἔζησεν δὲ Σηθ διακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενως (Ⅲ)

- Vixit quoque Seth centum quinque annis, et genuit Enos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃5 ויחי שת חמש שנים ומאת שנה ויולד את אנוש ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 7

And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Seth vécut, après la naissance d'Énosch, huit cent sept ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Σηθ μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενως ἑπτακόσια καὶ ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Vixitque Seth, postquam genuit Enos, octingentis septem annis, genuitque filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃5 ויחי שת אחרי הולידו את אנוש שבע שנים ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 8

And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

- Tous les jours de Seth furent de neuf cent douze ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Σηθ ἐννακόσια καὶ δώδεκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt omnes dies Seth nongentorum duodecim annorum, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃5 ויהיו כל ימי שת שתים עשרה שנה ותשע מאות שנה וימת ס‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 9

And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

- Énosch, âgé de quatre-vingt-dix ans, engendra Kénan. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως ἑκατὸν ἐνενήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν (Ⅲ)

- Vixit vero Enos nonaginta annis, et genuit Cainan. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃5 ויחי אנוש תשעים שנה ויולד את קינן ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 10

And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Énosch vécut, après la naissance de Kénan, huit cent quinze ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Καιναν ἑπτακόσια καὶ δέκα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Post cujus ortum vixit octingentis quindecim annis, et genuit filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃5 ויחי אנוש אחרי הולידו את קינן חמש עשרה שנה ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 11

And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

- Tous les jours d'Énosch furent de neuf cent cinq ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενως ἐννακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Factique sunt omnes dies Enos nongenti quinque anni, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃5 ויהיו כל ימי אנוש חמש שנים ותשע מאות שנה וימת ס‬ (Ⅴ)

And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel:

- Kénan, âgé de soixante-dix ans, engendra Mahalaleel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαλελεηλ (Ⅲ)

- Vixit quoque Cainan septuaginta annis, et genuit Malaleel. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃5 ויחי קינן שבעים שנה ויולד את מהללאל ‬ (Ⅴ)

And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Kénan vécut, après la naissance de Mahalaleel, huit cent quarante ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαλελεηλ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Et vixit Cainan, postquam genuit Malaleel, octingentis quadraginta annis, genuitque filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃5 ויחי קינן אחרי הולידו את מהללאל ארבעים שנה ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 14

And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

- Tous les jours de Kénan furent de neuf cent dix ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Καιναν ἐννακόσια καὶ δέκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt omnes dies Cainan nongenti decem anni, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃5 ויהיו כל ימי קינן עשר שנים ותשע מאות שנה וימת ס‬ (Ⅴ)

And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:

- Mahalaleel, âgé de soixante-cinq ans, engendra Jéred. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαρεδ (Ⅲ)

- Vixit autem Malaleel sexaginta quinque annis, et genuit Jared. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃5 ויחי מהללאל חמש שנים וששים שנה ויולד את ירד ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 16

And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Mahalaleel vécut, après la naissance de Jéred, huit cent trente ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ιαρεδ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Et vixit Malaleel, postquam genuit Jared, octingentis triginta annis, et genuit filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃5 ויחי מהללאל אחרי הולידו את ירד שלשים שנה ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 17

And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

- Tous les jours de Mahalaleel furent de huit cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαλελεηλ ὀκτακόσια καὶ ἐνενήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt omnes dies Malaleel octingenti nonaginta quinque anni, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃5 ויהיו כל ימי מהללאל חמש ותשעים שנה ושמנה מאות שנה וימת ס‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 18

And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:

- Jéred, âgé de cent soixante-deux ans, engendra Hénoc. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενωχ (Ⅲ)

- Vixitque Jared centum sexaginta duobus annis, et genuit Henoch. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃5 ויחי ירד שתים וששים שנה ומאת שנה ויולד את חנוך ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 19

And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Jéred vécut, après la naissance d'Hénoc, huit cents ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενωχ ὀκτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Et vixit Jared, postquam genuit Henoch, octingentis annis, et genuit filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃5 ויחי ירד אחרי הולידו את חנוך שמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 20

And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

- Tous les jours de Jéred furent de neuf cent soixante-deux ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ιαρεδ ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt omnes dies Jared nongenti sexaginta duo anni, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃5 ויהיו כל ימי ירד שתים וששים שנה ותשע מאות שנה וימת פ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 21

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

- Hénoc, âgé de soixante-cinq ans, engendra Metuschélah. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Ενωχ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαθουσαλα (Ⅲ)

- Porro Henoch vixit sexaginta quinque annis, et genuit Mathusalam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃5 ויחי חנוך חמש וששים שנה ויולד את מתושלח ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 22

And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Hénoc, après la naissance de Metuschélah, marcha avec Dieu trois cents ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- εὐηρέστησεν δὲ Ενωχ τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαθουσαλα διακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Et ambulavit Henoch cum Deo : et vixit, postquam genuit Mathusalam, trecentis annis, et genuit filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃5 ויתהלך חנוך את האלהים אחרי הולידו את מתושלח שלש מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 23

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

- Tous les jours d'Hénoc furent de trois cent soixante-cinq ans. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενωχ τριακόσια ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt omnes dies Henoch trecenti sexaginta quinque anni. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃5 ויהי כל ימי חנוך חמש וששים שנה ושלש מאות שנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 24

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

- Hénoc marcha avec Dieu; puis il ne fut plus, parce que Dieu le prit. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εὐηρέστησεν Ενωχ τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ καὶ οὐχ ηὑρίσκετο ὅτι μετέθηκεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεός (Ⅲ)

- Ambulavitque cum Deo, et non apparuit : quia tulit eum Deus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃5 ויתהלך חנוך את האלהים ואיננו כי לקח אתו אלהים פ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 25

And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech.

- Metuschélah, âgé de cent quatre-vingt-sept ans, engendra Lémec. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Λαμεχ (Ⅲ)

- Vixit quoque Mathusala centum octoginta septem annis, et genuit Lamech. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃5 ויחי מתושלח שבע ושמנים שנה ומאת שנה ויולד את למך ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 26

And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Metuschélah vécut, après la naissance de Lémec, sept cent quatre-vingt deux ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Λαμεχ ὀκτακόσια δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Et vixit Mathusala, postquam genuit Lamech, septingentis octoginta duobus annis, et genuit filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃5 ויחי מתושלח אחרי הולידו את למך שתים ושמונים שנה ושבע מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 27

And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

- Tous les jours de Metuschélah furent de neuf cent soixante-neuf ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαθουσαλα ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἐννέα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt omnes dies Mathusala nongenti sexaginta novem anni, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃5 ויהיו כל ימי מתושלח תשע וששים שנה ותשע מאות שנה וימת פ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 28

And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

- Lémec, âgé de cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, engendra un fils. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα ὀκτὼ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱὸν (Ⅲ)

- Vixit autem Lamech centum octoginta duobus annis, et genuit filium : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃5 ויחי למך שתים ושמנים שנה ומאת שנה ויולד בן ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 29

And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

- Il lui donna le nom de Noé, en disant: Celui-ci nous consolera de nos fatigues et du travail pénible de nos mains, provenant de cette terre que l'Éternel a maudite. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ Νωε λέγων οὑ̃τος διαναπαύσει ἡμα̃ς ἀπὸ τω̃ν ἔργων ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν λυπω̃ν τω̃ν χειρω̃ν ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς ἡ̃ς κατηράσατο κύριος ὁ θεός (Ⅲ)

- vocavitque nomen ejus Noë, dicens : Iste consolabitur nos ab operibus et laboribus manuum nostrarum in terra, cui maledixit Dominus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃5 ויקרא את שמו נח לאמר זה ינחמנו ממעשנו ומעצבון ידינו מן האדמה אשר אררה יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 30

And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

- Lémec vécut, après la naissance de Noé, cinq cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ μετὰ τὸ γεννη̃σαι αὐτὸν τὸν Νωε πεντακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας (Ⅲ)

- Vixitque Lamech, postquam genuit Noë, quingentis nonaginta quinque annis, et genuit filios et filias. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃5 ויחי למך אחרי הולידו את נח חמש ותשעים שנה וחמש מאת שנה ויולד בנים ובנות ‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 31

And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

- Tous les jours de Lémec furent de sept cent soixante-dix sept ans; puis il mourut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένοντο πα̃σαι αἱ ἡμέραι Λαμεχ ἑπτακόσια καὶ πεντήκοντα τρία ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (Ⅲ)

- Et facti sunt omnes dies Lamech septingenti septuaginta septem anni, et mortuus est. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃5 ויהי כל ימי למך שבע ושבעים שנה ושבע מאות שנה וימת ס‬ (Ⅴ)

5. 32

And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

- Noé, âgé de cinq cents ans, engendra Sem, Cham et Japhet. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃ν Νωε ἐτω̃ν πεντακοσίων καὶ ἐγέννησεν Νωε τρει̃ς υἱούς τὸν Σημ τὸν Χαμ τὸν Ιαφεθ (Ⅲ)

- Noë vero cum quingentorum esset annorum, genuit Sem, Cham et Japheth. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃5 ויהי נח בן חמש מאות שנה ויולד נח את שם את חם ואת יפת ‬ (Ⅴ)
