14. 1

And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;

- Dans le temps d'Amraphel, roi de Schinear, d'Arjoc, roi d'Ellasar, de Kedorlaomer, roi d'Élam, et de Tideal, roi de Gojim, (Ⅱ)

- ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τη̨̃ βασιλεία̨ τη̨̃ Αμαρφαλ βασιλέως Σεννααρ Αριωχ βασιλεὺς Ελλασαρ καὶ Χοδολλογομορ βασιλεὺς Αιλαμ καὶ Θαργαλ βασιλεὺς ἐθνω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Factum est autem in illo tempore, ut Amraphel rex Sennaar, et Arioch rex Ponti, et Chodorlahomor rex Elamitarum, et Thadal rex gentium (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃14 ויהי בימי אמרפל מלך שנער אריוך מלך אלסר כדרלעמר מלך עילם ותדעל מלך גוים ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 2

That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.

- il arriva qu'ils firent la guerre à Béra, roi de Sodome, à Birscha, roi de Gomorrhe, à Schineab, roi d'Adma, à Schémeéber, roi de Tseboïm, et au roi de Béla, qui est Tsoar. (Ⅱ)

- ἐποίησαν πόλεμον μετὰ Βαλλα βασιλέως Σοδομων καὶ μετὰ Βαρσα βασιλέως Γομορρας καὶ Σεννααρ βασιλέως Αδαμα καὶ Συμοβορ βασιλέως Σεβωιμ καὶ βασιλέως Βαλακ αὕτη ἐστὶν Σηγωρ (Ⅲ)

- inirent bellum contra Bara regem Sodomorum, et contra Bersa regem Gomorrhæ, et contra Sennaab regem Adamæ, et contra Semeber regem Seboim, contraque regem Balæ, ipsa est Segor. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃14 עשו מלחמה את ברע מלך סדם ואת ברשע מלך עמרה שנאב מלך אדמה ושמאבר מלך *צביים **צבויים‪[k]‬ ומלך בלע היא צער ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 3

All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.

- Ces derniers s'assemblèrent tous dans la vallée de Siddim, qui est la mer Salée. (Ⅱ)

- πάντες οὑ̃τοι συνεφώνησαν ἐπὶ τὴν φάραγγα τὴν ἁλυκήν αὕτη ἡ θάλασσα τω̃ν ἁλω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Omnes hi convenerunt in vallem Silvestrem, quæ nunc est mare salis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃14 כל אלה חברו אל עמק השדים הוא ים המלח ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 4

Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

- Pendant douze ans, ils avaient été soumis à Kedorlaomer; et la treizième année, ils s'étaient révoltés. (Ⅱ)

- δώδεκα ἔτη ἐδούλευον τω̨̃ Χοδολλογομορ τω̨̃ δὲ τρισκαιδεκάτω̨ ἔτει ἀπέστησαν (Ⅲ)

- Duodecim enim annis servierunt Chodorlahomor, et tertiodecimo anno recesserunt ab eo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃14 שתים עשרה שנה עבדו את כדרלעמר ושלש עשרה שנה מרדו ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 5

And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emins in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

- Mais, la quatorzième année, Kedorlaomer et les rois qui étaient avec lui se mirent en marche, et ils battirent les Rephaïm à Aschteroth Karnaïm, les Zuzim à Ham, les Émim à Schavé Kirjathaïm, (Ⅱ)

- ἐν δὲ τω̨̃ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτω̨ ἔτει ἠ̃λθεν Χοδολλογομορ καὶ οἱ βασιλει̃ς οἱ μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ κατέκοψαν τοὺς γίγαντας τοὺς ἐν Ασταρωθ Καρναιν καὶ ἔθνη ἰσχυρὰ ἅμα αὐτοι̃ς καὶ τοὺς Ομμαίους τοὺς ἐν Σαυη τη̨̃ πόλει (Ⅲ)

- Igitur quartodecimo anno venit Chodorlahomor, et reges qui erant cum eo : percusseruntque Raphaim in Astarothcarnaim, et Zuzim cum eis, et Emim in Save Cariathaim, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃14 ובארבע עשרה שנה בא כדרלעמר והמלכים אשר אתו ויכו את רפאים בעשתרת קרנים ואת הזוזים בהם ואת האימים בשוה קריתים ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 6

And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which is by the wilderness.

- et les Horiens dans leur montagne de Séir, jusqu'au chêne de Paran, qui est près du désert. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τοὺς Χορραίους τοὺς ἐν τοι̃ς ὄρεσιν Σηιρ ἕως τη̃ς τερεμίνθου τη̃ς Φαραν ἥ ἐστιν ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ (Ⅲ)

- et Chorræos in montibus Seir, usque ad Campestria Pharan, quæ est in solitudine. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃14 ואת החרי בהררם שעיר עד איל פארן אשר על המדבר ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 7

And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.

- Puis ils s'en retournèrent, vinrent à En Mischpath, qui est Kadès, et battirent les Amalécites sur tout leur territoire, ainsi que les Amoréens établis à Hatsatson Thamar. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀναστρέψαντες ἤλθοσαν ἐπὶ τὴν πηγὴν τη̃ς κρίσεως αὕτη ἐστὶν Καδης καὶ κατέκοψαν πάντας τοὺς ἄρχοντας Αμαληκ καὶ τοὺς Αμορραίους τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας ἐν Ασασανθαμαρ (Ⅲ)

- Reversique sunt, et venerunt ad fontem Misphat, ipsa est Cades : et percusserunt omnem regionem Amalecitarum, et Amorrhæum, qui habitabat in Asasonthamar. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃14 וישבו ויבאו אל עין משפט הוא קדש ויכו את כל שדה העמלקי וגם את האמרי הישב בחצצן תמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 8

And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;

- Alors s'avancèrent le roi de Sodome, le roi de Gomorrhe, le roi d'Adma, le roi de Tseboïm, et le roi de Béla, qui est Tsoar; et ils se rangèrent en bataille contre eux, dans la vallée de Siddim, (Ⅱ)

- ἐξη̃λθεν δὲ βασιλεὺς Σοδομων καὶ βασιλεὺς Γομορρας καὶ βασιλεὺς Αδαμα καὶ βασιλεὺς Σεβωιμ καὶ βασιλεὺς Βαλακ αὕτη ἐστὶν Σηγωρ καὶ παρετάξαντο αὐτοι̃ς εἰς πόλεμον ἐν τη̨̃ κοιλάδι τη̨̃ ἁλυκη̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et egressi sunt rex Sodomorum, et rex Gomorrhæ, rexque Adamæ, et rex Seboim, necnon et rex Balæ, quæ est Segor : et direxerunt aciem contra eos in valle Silvestri : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃14 ויצא מלך סדם ומלך עמרה ומלך אדמה ומלך *צביים **צבוים ומלך בלע הוא צער ויערכו אתם מלחמה בעמק השדים ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 9

With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.

- contre Kedorlaomer, roi d'Élam, Tideal, roi de Gojim, Amraphel, roi de Schinear, et Arjoc, roi d'Ellasar: quatre rois contre cinq. (Ⅱ)

- πρὸς Χοδολλογομορ βασιλέα Αιλαμ καὶ Θαργαλ βασιλέα ἐθνω̃ν καὶ Αμαρφαλ βασιλέα Σεννααρ καὶ Αριωχ βασιλέα Ελλασαρ οἱ τέσσαρες βασιλει̃ς πρὸς τοὺς πέντε (Ⅲ)

- scilicet adversus Chodorlahomor regem Elamitarum, et Thadal regem Gentium, et Amraphel regem Sennaar, et Arioch regem Ponti : quatuor reges adversus quinque. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃14 את כדרלעמר מלך עילם ותדעל מלך גוים ואמרפל מלך שנער ואריוך מלך אלסר ארבעה מלכים את החמשה ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 10

And the vale of Siddim was full of slime pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.

- La vallée de Siddim était couverte de puits de bitume; le roi de Sodome et celui de Gomorrhe prirent la fuite, et y tombèrent; le reste s'enfuit vers la montagne. (Ⅱ)

- ἡ δὲ κοιλὰς ἡ ἁλυκὴ φρέατα φρέατα ἀσφάλτου ἔφυγεν δὲ βασιλεὺς Σοδομων καὶ βασιλεὺς Γομορρας καὶ ἐνέπεσαν ἐκει̃ οἱ δὲ καταλειφθέντες εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν ἔφυγον (Ⅲ)

- Vallis autem Silvestris habebat puteos multos bituminis. Itaque rex Sodomorum, et Gomorrhæ, terga verterunt, cecideruntque ibi : et qui remanserant, fugerunt ad montem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃14 ועמק השדים‪[1]‬ בארת בארת חמר וינסו מלך סדם ועמרה ויפלו שמה והנשארים הרה נסו ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 11

And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.

- Les vainqueurs enlevèrent toutes les richesses de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, et toutes leurs provisions; et ils s'en allèrent. (Ⅱ)

- ἔλαβον δὲ τὴν ἵππον πα̃σαν τὴν Σοδομων καὶ Γομορρας καὶ πάντα τὰ βρώματα αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἀπη̃λθον (Ⅲ)

- Tulerunt autem omnem substantiam Sodomorum et Gomorrhæ, et universa quæ ad cibum pertinent, et abierunt : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃14 ויקחו את כל רכש סדם ועמרה ואת כל אכלם וילכו ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 12

And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.

- Ils enlevèrent aussi, avec ses biens, Lot, fils du frère d'Abram, qui demeurait à Sodome; et ils s'en allèrent. (Ⅱ)

- ἔλαβον δὲ καὶ τὸν Λωτ υἱὸν του̃ ἀδελφου̃ Αβραμ καὶ τὴν ἀποσκευὴν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀπώ̨χοντο ἠ̃ν γὰρ κατοικω̃ν ἐν Σοδομοις (Ⅲ)

- necnon et Lot, et substantiam ejus, filium fratris Abram, qui habitabat in Sodomis.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃14 ויקחו את לוט ואת רכשו בן אחי אברם וילכו והוא ישב בסדם ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 13

And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.

- Un fuyard vint l'annoncer à Abram, l'Hébreu; celui-ci habitait parmi les chênes de Mamré, l'Amoréen, frère d'Eschcol et frère d'Aner, qui avaient fait alliance avec Abram. (Ⅱ)

- παραγενόμενος δὲ τω̃ν ἀνασωθέντων τις ἀπήγγειλεν Αβραμ τω̨̃ περάτη̨ αὐτὸς δὲ κατώ̨κει πρὸς τη̨̃ δρυὶ τη̨̃ Μαμβρη ὁ Αμορις του̃ ἀδελφου̃ Εσχωλ καὶ ἀδελφου̃ Αυναν οἳ ἠ̃σαν συνωμόται του̃ Αβραμ (Ⅲ)

- Et ecce unus, qui evaserat, nuntiavit Abram Hebræo, qui habitabat in convalle Mambre Amorrhæi, fratris Escol, et fratris Aner : hi enim pepigerant fœdus cum Abram. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃14 ויבא הפליט ויגד לאברם העברי והוא שכן באלני ממרא האמרי אחי אשכל ואחי ענר והם בעלי ברית אברם ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 14

And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.

- Dès qu'Abram eut appris que son frère avait été fait prisonnier, il arma trois cent dix-huit de ses plus braves serviteurs, nés dans sa maison, et il poursuivit les rois jusqu'à Dan. (Ⅱ)

- ἀκούσας δὲ Αβραμ ὅτι ἠ̨χμαλώτευται Λωτ ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτου̃ ἠρίθμησεν τοὺς ἰδίους οἰκογενει̃ς αὐτου̃ τριακοσίους δέκα καὶ ὀκτώ καὶ κατεδίωξεν ὀπίσω αὐτω̃ν ἕως Δαν (Ⅲ)

- Quod cum audisset Abram, captum videlicet Lot fratrem suum, numeravit expeditos vernaculos suos trecentos decem et octo : et persecutus est usque Dan. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃14 וישמע אברם כי נשבה אחיו וירק את חניכיו ילידי ביתו שמנה עשר ושלש מאות וירדף עד דן ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 15

And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.

- Il divisa sa troupe, pour les attaquer de nuit, lui et ses serviteurs; il les battit, et les poursuivit jusqu'à Choba, qui est à la gauche de Damas. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπέπεσεν ἐπ' αὐτοὺς τὴν νύκτα αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ παι̃δες αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐδίωξεν αὐτοὺς ἕως Χωβα ἥ ἐστιν ἐν ἀριστερα̨̃ Δαμασκου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Et divisis sociis, irruit super eos nocte : percussitque eos, et persecutus est eos usque Hoba, quæ est ad lævam Damasci. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃14 ויחלק עליהם לילה הוא ועבדיו ויכם וירדפם עד חובה אשר משמאל לדמשק ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 16

And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

- Il ramena toutes les richesses; il ramena aussi Lot, son frère, avec ses biens, ainsi que les femmes et le peuple. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν πα̃σαν τὴν ἵππον Σοδομων καὶ Λωτ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτου̃ ἀπέστρεψεν καὶ τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτου̃ καὶ τὰς γυναι̃κας καὶ τὸν λαόν (Ⅲ)

- Reduxitque omnem substantiam, et Lot fratrem suum cum substantia illius, mulieres quoque et populum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃14 וישב את כל הרכש וגם את לוט אחיו ורכשו השיב וגם את הנשים ואת העם ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 17

And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.

- Après qu'Abram fut revenu vainqueur de Kedorlaomer et des rois qui étaient avec lui, le roi de Sodome sortit à sa rencontre dans la vallée de Schavé, qui est la vallée du roi. (Ⅱ)

- ἐξη̃λθεν δὲ βασιλεὺς Σοδομων εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτω̨̃ μετὰ τὸ ἀναστρέψαι αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τη̃ς κοπη̃ς του̃ Χοδολλογομορ καὶ τω̃ν βασιλέων τω̃ν μετ' αὐτου̃ εἰς τὴν κοιλάδα τὴν Σαυη του̃το ἠ̃ν τὸ πεδίον βασιλέως (Ⅲ)

- Egressus est autem rex Sodomorum in occursum ejus postquam reversus est a cæde Chodorlahomor, et regum qui cum eo erant in valle Save, quæ est vallis regis.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃14 ויצא מלך סדם לקראתו אחרי שובו מהכות את כדרלעמר‪[n]‬‪[p]‬ ואת המלכים אשר אתו אל עמק שוה הוא עמק המלך ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 18

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

- Melchisédek, roi de Salem, fit apporter du pain et du vin: il était sacrificateur du Dieu Très Haut. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Μελχισεδεκ βασιλεὺς Σαλημ ἐξήνεγκεν ἄρτους καὶ οἰ̃νον ἠ̃ν δὲ ἱερεὺς του̃ θεου̃ του̃ ὑψίστου (Ⅲ)

- At vero Melchisedech rex Salem, proferens panem et vinum, erat enim sacerdos Dei altissimi, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃14 ומלכי צדק מלך שלם הוציא לחם ויין והוא כהן לאל עליון ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 19

And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

- Il bénit Abram, et dit: Béni soit Abram par le Dieu Très Haut, maître du ciel et de la terre! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ηὐλόγησεν τὸν Αβραμ καὶ εἰ̃πεν εὐλογημένος Αβραμ τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ τω̨̃ ὑψίστω̨ ὃς ἔκτισεν τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)

- benedixit ei, et ait : Benedictus Abram Deo excelso, qui creavit cælum et terram : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃14 ויברכהו ויאמר ברוך אברם לאל עליון קנה שמים וארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 20

And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

- Béni soit le Dieu Très Haut, qui a livré tes ennemis entre tes mains! Et Abram lui donna la dîme de tout. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εὐλογητὸς ὁ θεὸς ὁ ὕψιστος ὃς παρέδωκεν τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποχειρίους σοι καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτω̨̃ δεκάτην ἀπὸ πάντων (Ⅲ)

- et benedictus Deus excelsus, quo protegente, hostes in manibus tuis sunt. Et dedit ei decimas ex omnibus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃14 וברוך אל עליון אשר מגן צריך בידך ויתן לו מעשר מכל ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 21

And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

- Le roi de Sodome dit à Abram: Donne-moi les personnes, et prends pour toi les richesses. (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ βασιλεὺς Σοδομων πρὸς Αβραμ δός μοι τοὺς ἄνδρας τὴν δὲ ἵππον λαβὲ σεαυτω̨̃ (Ⅲ)

- Dixit autem rex Sodomorum ad Abram : Da mihi animas, cetera tolle tibi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃14 ויאמר מלך סדם אל אברם תן לי הנפש והרכש קח לך ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 22

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

- Abram répondit au roi de Sodome: Je lève la main vers l'Éternel, le Dieu Très Haut, maître du ciel et de la terre: (Ⅱ)

- εἰ̃πεν δὲ Αβραμ πρὸς βασιλέα Σοδομων ἐκτενω̃ τὴν χει̃ρά μου πρὸς τὸν θεὸν τὸν ὕψιστον ὃς ἔκτισεν τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Qui respondit ei : Levo manum meam ad Dominum Deum excelsum possessorem cæli et terræ, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃14 ויאמר אברם אל מלך סדם הרימתי ידי אל יהוה אל עליון קנה שמים וארץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 23

That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

- je ne prendrai rien de tout ce qui est à toi, pas même un fil, ni un cordon de soulier, afin que tu ne dises pas: J'ai enrichi Abram. Rien pour moi! (Ⅱ)

- εἰ ἀπὸ σπαρτίου ἕως σφαιρωτη̃ρος ὑποδήματος λήμψομαι ἀπὸ πάντων τω̃ν σω̃ν ἵνα μὴ εἴπη̨ς ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐπλούτισα τὸν Αβραμ (Ⅲ)

- quod a filo subtegminis usque ad corigiam caligæ, non accipiam ex omnibus quæ tua sunt, ne dicas : Ego ditavi Abram : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃14 אם מחוט ועד שרוך נעל ואם אקח מכל אשר לך ולא תאמר אני העשרתי את אברם ‬ (Ⅴ)

14. 24

Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

- Seulement, ce qu'ont mangé les jeunes gens, et la part des hommes qui ont marché avec moi, Aner, Eschcol et Mamré: eux, ils prendront leur part. (Ⅱ)

- πλὴν ὡ̃ν ἔφαγον οἱ νεανίσκοι καὶ τη̃ς μερίδος τω̃ν ἀνδρω̃ν τω̃ν συμπορευθέντων μετ' ἐμου̃ Εσχωλ Αυναν Μαμβρη οὑ̃τοι λήμψονται μερίδα (Ⅲ)

- exceptis his, quæ comederunt juvenes, et partibus virorum, qui venerunt mecum, Aner, Escol et Mambre : isti accipient partes suas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃14 בלעדי רק אשר אכלו הנערים וחלק האנשים אשר הלכו אתי ענר אשכל וממרא הם יקחו חלקם ס‬ (Ⅴ)
