1. 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

- Heureux l'homme qui ne marche pas selon le conseil des méchants, Qui ne s'arrête pas sur la voie des pécheurs, Et qui ne s'assied pas en compagnie des moqueurs, (Ⅱ)

- μακάριος ἀνήρ ὃς οὐκ ἐπορεύθη ἐν βουλη̨̃ ἀσεβω̃ν καὶ ἐν ὁδω̨̃ ἁμαρτωλω̃ν οὐκ ἔστη καὶ ἐπὶ καθέδραν λοιμω̃ν οὐκ ἐκάθισεν (Ⅲ)

- [Beatus vir qui non abiit in consilio impiorum,/ et in via peccatorum non stetit,/ et in cathedra pestilentiæ non sedit ;/ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃1 אשרי האיש‪[c]‬ אשר לא הלך בעצת רשעים ובדרך חטאים לא עמד ובמושב לצים לא ישב ‬ (Ⅴ)

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

- Mais qui trouve son plaisir dans la loi de l'Éternel, Et qui la médite jour et nuit! (Ⅱ)

- ἀλλ' ἢ ἐν τω̨̃ νόμω̨ κυρίου τὸ θέλημα αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ νόμω̨ αὐτου̃ μελετήσει ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτός (Ⅲ)

- sed in lege Domini voluntas ejus,/ et in lege ejus meditabitur die ac nocte./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃1 כי אם בתורת יהוה חפצו ובתורתו יהגה יומם ולילה ‬ (Ⅴ)

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

- Il est comme un arbre planté près d'un courant d'eau, Qui donne son fruit en sa saison, Et dont le feuillage ne se flétrit point: Tout ce qu'il fait lui réussit. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔσται ὡς τὸ ξύλον τὸ πεφυτευμένον παρὰ τὰς διεξόδους τω̃ν ὑδάτων ὃ τὸν καρπὸν αὐτου̃ δώσει ἐν καιρω̨̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ τὸ φύλλον αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἀπορρυήσεται καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἂν ποιη̨̃ κατευοδωθήσεται (Ⅲ)

- Et erit tamquam lignum quod plantatum est secus decursus aquarum,/ quod fructum suum dabit in tempore suo :/ et folium ejus non defluet ;/ et omnia quæcumque faciet prosperabuntur./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃1 והיה כעץ שתול על פלגי מים אשר פריו יתן בעתו ועלהו לא יבול וכל אשר יעשה יצליח ‬ (Ⅴ)

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

- Il n'en est pas ainsi des méchants: Ils sont comme la paille que le vent dissipe. (Ⅱ)

- οὐχ οὕτως οἱ ἀσεβει̃ς οὐχ οὕτως ἀλλ' ἢ ὡς ὁ χνου̃ς ὃν ἐκριπτει̃ ὁ ἄνεμος ἀπὸ προσώπου τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Non sic impii, non sic ;/ sed tamquam pulvis quem projicit ventus a facie terræ./ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃1 לא כן הרשעים כי אם כמץ אשר תדפנו רוח ‬ (Ⅴ)

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

- C'est pourquoi les méchants ne résistent pas au jour du jugement, Ni les pécheurs dans l'assemblée des justes; (Ⅱ)

- διὰ του̃το οὐκ ἀναστήσονται ἀσεβει̃ς ἐν κρίσει οὐδὲ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐν βουλη̨̃ δικαίων (Ⅲ)

- Ideo non resurgent impii in judicio,/ neque peccatores in concilio justorum :/ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃1 על כן לא יקמו רשעים במשפט וחטאים בעדת צדיקים ‬ (Ⅴ)

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

- Car l'Éternel connaît la voie des justes, Et la voie des pécheurs mène à la ruine. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι γινώσκει κύριος ὁδὸν δικαίων καὶ ὁδὸς ἀσεβω̃ν ἀπολει̃ται (Ⅲ)

- quoniam novit Dominus viam justorum,/ et iter impiorum peribit.] (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃1 כי יודע יהוה דרך צדיקים ודרך רשעים תאבד ‬ (Ⅴ)
